I took my bf here for his birthday, and he absolutely loved it! I made reservations for a Sunday night, and thank goodness I did because there was a line but we were seated almost immediately. We ordered the Ribeye Cap with Potatoes, Gnocchi, and Creamy Corn. Everything was so good and full of bold flavors. They also gave us a complimentary basket of bread. To finish the meal, the set came with a Buttercake, which was amazing! Best buttercake I've had. They also gave a sweet birthday chocolate mouse dessert. Overall, amazing experience, food, and vibe! Highly recommend!

Excellent, sleek upscale steakhouse with wonderful food and service. The ingredient quality was top notch. There's plenty of free lots, but can be busy during peak hours. Food- 5 stars iceberg wedge salad- really well done grilled bacon steak- very flavorful and fatty. Their meat quality was superb duroc pork chop- it's a thick cut but it was incredibly tender and flavorful still shrimp scampi- very good and balanced. rich but with plenty of flavor creamed spinach- pretty good Service- 5 stars Wonderful service throughout. They really went above and beyond. Really enjoyed our meal Bottom Line Excellent, upscale steakhouse that just does everything so well and takes the extra steps to go above and beyond

1/5 - seafood tower with king crab, oysters, and prawns. The king crab is overly salty at some parts and some of ends were very fishy. Not worth the $175 4/5 - clam chowder. Came out warm. Pretty standard flavor. 2/5 - garlic mashed potatoes were salty and pasty. The potatoes were overworked 3/5 - broccolini still had the raw vegetable flavor in some pieces 5/5 - best dish do the night. We asked for medium rare. It came out more on the medium side but was still very juicy and tender. 5/5 - Chilean seabass. Cooked perfectly always a good choice. 2/5 - 16 oz New York strip. We asked for medium rare and it came out medium well. I started eating the strip on the thicker side and it was still medium at that point. Once I got closer to the center it was dry and gray, no more pink. I mentioned this to the waitress and she agreed it was medium well. Oscar the manager came to apologize and instead of offering to take the steak off the bill, he asked if he should take just half off. I'm assuming he was insinuating that I had already eaten a portion of it. I told him he can do whatever he wants. At this point I think, he realized how rude his question was. He began apologizing profusely and shook my hands several times. Managers are the one that usually fix situations, not make a situation worse. Food rating for this visit is 4/5, but when you factor in Oscar it's a 2/5 experience. I really like this restaurant and I'll probably be back. But, next time I'll have to cut my steak down the center to ensure my steak is cooked correctly.

Came here for lunch at 1 pm on our 38th wedding anniversary. The place was practically full of well dressed business types. Even the staff were impeccably dressed. We were seated right away in a booth. We ordered their prefixe lunch for $45 for two - choice of Cesar or mixed green salad and several selections of sandwiches (chimichurri steak, prime rib, blue cheese burger or old chophouse burger). We chose the Cesar salad. Hubby had the blue cheese burger with crispy bacon and I had the chophouse burger with melted cheddar, lettuce, onion and tomato. Before our orders arrived, we were served a lovely small plate of vege crudités ( purple cauliflower, snap peas, baby radish, baby carrots, pearl tomatoes and a yummy ranch dip. The burgers were thick and juicy! Oh my! They came with a ginormous amount of fries and ketchup. We were super pleased with the perfectly cooked, thick and did I already say juicy patty? Oh, they surprised us with a beautiful dessert to top of our celebration. Our servers were also so nice and friendly and attentive. The classy ambiance, superb service and delicious food truly made our budget friendly celebration special.

Love the speakeasy-vibe entrance after entering the front door! Almost missed the actual entrance lol. Parking is a breeze as there are multiple free parking lots/structures in the area as it's located in Downtown Brea. Our party dined at OBCH for lunch on an early Friday afternoon. I'm glad we made reservations, as the lunch rush was looking decently busy. However that didn't affect our dining experience whatsoever, as the service was great! And food was yummy for a modern/trendy American restaurant. Highlights were the Brussel sprouts, filet mignon, and the cheesy potatoes.

My boyfriend and I came here to celebrate our 7 year anniversary and boy oh boy were we blown away! The service here is amazing!! The drinks were delish!! I got the Coco Nutz and it was so tasty! Reminded me of a pina colada but upscale! Definitely on the sweeter fruitier side. My bf really likes the Japanese old fashion too! if old fashion is your vibe, definitely try it out! For our main, we got the skirt steak and the trout. The skirt steak was so good my bf would not stop talking about it even on our car ride back home lol. THATS HOW GOOD IT WAS! The marinate is so flavorful and the steak was cooked to PERFECTION! As for the Trout, it was definitely tasty but personally there was too many bones so I would come back for the skirt steak! Don't underestimate the skirt steak! For our sides we got Brussels sprouts and matchstick fries. I also really like the Brussels sprouts. It was crispy, and flavorful and definitely hit the spot. The portions of the sides were pretty big. For the fries, they were massive where it felt like it was never ending lol We also got complimentary dessert since we were celebrating our anniversary and its so cute bc it says "happy anniversary" Overall, i highly recommend this place! We'll definitely be back soon!!

Back again and in addition to my favorites I tried the bacon steak (phenomenal) and Caesar salad (delicious). I also tried the berry bomb drink (like a raspberry lemon drop, this may be one of my favorite drinks). I also tried the coconutz which is like a piña colada with whiskey. It was good, more on the sweet end. I preferred the tart freshness of the raspberry drink. Really appreciated the bartenders recommendation on this :) I went for my bday and they gave me a lil bday treat. A delicious chocolate pudding. I really love this restaurant

Nice upscale steakhouse on the corner of Birch St and Brea Blvd. It has a nice look inside, and the space is good for for various events. Service was top notch. We had an issue with the temp of the steak and we received a new steak, and they made sure to check on us to make sure all was well. One of the highlights that surprised me was the gnocchi. It was fantastic and I would go back for that alone! Great experience.

My family & I stopped here after a full day at Universal Studios. We were craving some steak and wanted to try somewhere new. This restaurant wasn't too far from our hotel so we gave it a try. Omg the little town is so cute right after sunset and a nice little walk around the town. We were obviously hungry and ordered almost half the menu haha! The food was great and we love gnocchi, probably best we've ever had. Our waiter was awesome also and gave us the full run down on everything from the menu. They were very patient with our two boys who were delirious and I'm very grateful for that. I hope we can come back next time we're in the area! Thank you guys for the great meal!

My first visit and I was very pleased. The ambiance of this restaurant is nice, calming and intimate. Staff was wonderful, and very attentive. The steaks were delish, we did the filet and the NY Strip. I wasn't overly thrilled about the sides. They were ok, but none that really stood out, if I'm being honest some were a little salty. BUT, the Oysters were DELICIOUS. I will be back for drinks, the bread basket, a steak, oysters and a salad... can't forget the butter cake!!

My brother took the whole family to Old Brea Chop House to celebrate. == FOOD == We each got a steak. I got the 6 oz filet mignon. My parents got other cuts of meat, iirc my aunt got a 16 oz rib eye, and I don't really remember what my brother got. We got some sides: the brussel sprouts (11/10), the wild mushrooms (8/10) and the creamed corn (9/10). We also got 2 desserts: berry tart, and a sorbet. == SERVICE == The waiter and staff were all very nice and friendly. We asked for to-go boxes, and she even labeled everyone's boxes for us. == AMBIANCE == The inside is very bougie. We were seated at a booth in the middle of the restaurant. The bar on the side is very nice as well.

Steak was prepared well - we typically order medium rare. Warm red inside and crispy outside. Bone marrow always adds bonus points for me. Service is elevated compared to your typical restaurant - waiter spilled drinks on our shoes and there was no compensation except "we're sorry". That's fine. Ambiance was classy, dark and well lit at the same time. On par with any modern steak house. Would return again.

Five item charcuterie board, 16 ounce Cajun ribeye steak, creamed corn, mashed potatoes, and 6 ounce filet mignon

We came here for a 21st birthday celebration, Andre was the kindest, most attentive server you could've ever asked for. He gave great recommendations, genuinely cared, and even packed our food into boxes for us. The food was amazing as usual, and the environment is unmatched with amazing music and beautiful decor.

    Yes!

    Yes we do!

Do you make your own carrot cake? It's very good

Our carrot cake is home main house.

Does OBCH offer Happy Hour again yet? It says they do in the about section from the owner?

Apologies if the statement was not up to date we are not currently offering happy hour. Our full menu is available at the bar top all day though. We hope to serve you in another capacity soon

No you don't but you should for weekends or during the week if you have more than a party of 4 .

Is there happy hour for drinks?

Yes, there are great brink specials

The Cap is 20 oz cut a la carte at 115.00, we make it a complete dinner and is a better value. Let me if there's anything I can do.…

I'm taking my family here for the first time, next week. What is the best steak they have there?

The rib eye cape medium rare is excellent and flavorful, it can be shared. The Delmonico ribeye is my second choice.

My sister originally chose Terra because she saw a picture of one of their salads with salmon and knew immediately that was what she wanted. We had no idea we were about to discover a new favorite restaurant. 10/10 -- I've already bookmarked Terra because I will absolutely be back. When we arrived, we told our server we had never been there before and asked what she recommended. Her descriptions of the food were fantastic, and she steered us toward the wood-grilled peaches with burrata and arugula. Oh. My. Goodness. Absolutely delicious! The grilled peaches, creamy burrata and arugula were such a wonderful combination. Then the salad came out, with salmon added. I took my first bite and was literally speechless. It was an explosion of flavor -- the avocado, salmon, sesame dressing and everything else going on in that salad just worked. The salmon costs extra, but it was absolutely worth it. The peach dish and the salad were completely different flavor experiences, and honestly I would happily order both of them again. We were talking about how we were gonna come back and try to resist ordering the same thing over again, but that will be a challenge. Of course, we were at a wood-fired pizza restaurant, so we HAD to try the pizza. We ordered half-and-half. One side was the fingerling potato pizza, especially after our server told us the story about the owner's daughter wanting fingerling potatoes on her pizza and how that helped inspire the restaurant. Obviously, after hearing that story, we had to try the pizza that started it all! And it did not disappoint. I can definitely see myself ordering that again. The other half was the salami pizza with the honey drizzle. It was supposed to have some heat -- my sister could taste it, although I couldn't -- and the honey made it a really interesting combination. Not something I would normally think to order, but definitely worth trying. I also ordered the citrus agave, thinking it was basically a fancy name for lemonade. It wasn't! Lemon, orange and lime made it much more interesting, with just a slight bitterness from the citrus that balanced the sweetness. Delicious and different. We sat upstairs, where there was a wonderful breeze coming through on a summer evening. The whole atmosphere was charming and relaxed, the service was excellent, and the food was memorable. The biggest surprise? Terra is right near my office, and I never knew it was there. Definitely a 10/10. I came because of a recommendation, and now I'm recommending it to everyone else. I will absolutely be back.
