So yesterday I was craving pizza, specifically pepperoni pizza. So on our way home from Irving to Red Oak my wife googled the nearest pizza location serving cauliflower crust pizza ( she cant eat regular crust). So we ended up at Old Hags. We ordered a Old Hags triple pepperoni and Bleeker Street on regular crust for me and the kids and my wife got a Vegan Meat Haters pizza on cauliflower crust. So while we waited we were offered free mozzarella sticks which were fresh, hot, crunchy, cheesy and delicious. They were served with a delicious marinara sauce. We got our pizzas and headed home to Red Oak. So normally we check our food before we make it home, which my wife did check her pizza but since I was driving and the boxes are sealed with a sticker I didn't even bother. So imagine my disappointment when I made it all the way home and discovered they gave me something similar to a supreme pizza instead of the triple pepperoni I was craving. I had no plans to drive all the way back to the restaurant so I decided to eat a slice while I called them to rectify the situation. As soon as I took a bite the disappointment faded. It was some of the best pizza I had ever had, ironically that brought my disappointment back because just imagine how good the pepperoni pizza would have been! So I called them and was instructed to text in the discrepancy and they would reply shortly. To say the least it was the best customer service experience I had ever had. Check out the text chain. They actually had Door Dash deliver me the correct pizza, upsized it and added on a chocolate cake AND cheesecake! The pizza hit the spot. The crust is thin and not to crunchy nor hard. It supports the toppings perfectly. The triple pepperoni is a little spicy and PACKED with three different types of pepperoni. This was my first time having the pepperoni cups and my expectations were beyond met. It will be very easy to come back to this establishment. To date, I have ordered delivery 4 times over the past several years. Everything has been spot on for food taste & quality, delivery, customer service. My one drawback, they are more expensive with the only Grub hub delivery option. Tip, plus surge charge, plus delivery can be between $15-$20. The food tab is also increased by to make up for the GRUB HUB fee to the restaurant. Is the food, service, and delivery good??? Yup. I adore this place. Every single time I've ordered my food has arrived promptly, perfect and hot. Their delivery drivers are very courteous. I don't live in town but I come in every month and usually multiple times a month, for my cancer treatments. I'm only 37 and it's a lot to deal with so knowing I have a simple solution for meals that come directly to my hotel room makes it easier. The pasta is amazing and so is the pizza. I love all of the vegetarian "meat" options they have. Love this place and not to mention you can order anytime bc they're open 24 hours a day. Highly recommend!!! Order a pizza delivery and it takes 2 hours if it shows up at all and I live 2 blocks away. Go to pic k up they tell you a time then make you wait 20-30 more minutes. Today the icing on the cake was I ordered in store and they handed me a buzzer and said 20 minutes... after 30 ish minutes of no buzzer I went inside and asked about it ... they forgot to buzz. So I was handed a pizza that had been sitting who knows how long that was cold, congealed with grease that had already soaked the box. When I asked him if it had been sitting long he said "few minutes". Absolutely disgusting to go along with the customer service I received from a Supervisor. I ordered an online pizza in which I was able to pick up in 8 minutes due to close proximity. I was told my pizza was not yet finished due to it being cut. Once I made it home opened the box realize I had an old pizza that had clearly been reheated and not made fresh( see attached photo) . The pizza was so hard that there was no way to even scrape the cheese without a crunch sound. I ordered a pepperoni and all you can see is cheese hard cheese. I stopped in for the first time one late night after I got off work. When I walked in it smelled like pizza which was a good sign. I placed my order and sat in my car to wait. Yes had to wait because there was other orders before me even though it was just a slice lol. So I see people coming and going which was another good sign. I go back in. Good thing I check my food before I walk out. I saw the big slice box and assumed it would be at least the size like Costco.
