Came here on a business trip and I thought it was phenomenal! The service was amazing and the vibes of the inside of the restaurant were so nice. The food was killer as well. Highly recommend the crab cake, both the truffle fries and scalloped potato's were a hit, and the steak was cooked perfectly. Would definitely come back.

I dont know how this place does not have 5 stars. I came here to celebrate my anniverssry with my wife and MAN were we impressed. From the moment you walk in with thr dry aged fridge to the bread to the steak to thr dessert. It was all amazing. The service is what beat eberytbing the most. Bc it was our anniversary they gave us free champagne and free dessert. We ordered the cobb salad, steak tartare, steak and carrot cake. All amazing and cooked to perfrxtjon. The rrstaursnt is also very beautiful located kn the atrium of thr gaylord hotel. I csnt wait to come back hetr in october!!

This is my third time to Old Hickory Steakhouse and my wife's second time. This visit as the others was superb. We were having dinner with another couple and arrived a few minutes early for our reservation. The hostess greeted us warmly, found our reservation, and immediately handed us off to another hostess who took us to our table. Within moments were we're greeted by our waiter, Alex, who mentioned a few items to note, and said he'd collect waters for us while giving us a moment to review the appetizer and drink menus. Alex was excellent with his timing and attention to our meal. We ordered numerous items noting that the sides are family style. We found the sides were indeed enough for each of us to have a nice portion with our main dish. Sides were roasted Brussels sprouts and creamy golden potatoes. Both were quite tasty with the Brussels sprouts having a nice char/crispiness on the edges. My wife and I split the French onion soup to get started. It was perfectly salty with a wonderful sweetness from the onion. This was quite nice with a tasty hunk of bread under the cheese. Dinner was two wagyu ribeyes (prepared to the chefs preference), one filet Mignon butterflied and well done, and their homemade pasta tortelloni with spinach and mushroom as I recall. I added au puave sauce to mine. I did not need that as the ribeye was very tasty and so tender. All at the table expressed their enjoyment if not delight with the meal. Some had cocktails and others wine to pair. It was lovely. Alex kept things moving comfortably and refilled our waters as appropriate. His humor and banter with us was a treat as well. We wrapped with a shared dessert. Looking forward to the next time.

Team dinner to provide nourishment for our meeting the next day. I loved the showcase of the steaks when you first enter. The entire restaurant was appealing to the eye, the decor was impressive and fit the atmosphere perfectly. Our server was on point, she managed our group of 7 with ease. We ordered appetizers to share and the presentation and taste was memorable. After our fulfilling meal, we had no room for dessert, however we were offered little treats to try. Oh, I should mention the bread, my team said it was so good.

Let me say - this place was AMAZING!!! I stayed at the Gaylord this month for the first time and I fell in love with this hotel. So much that I have already booked another stay in oct. It's like it's own Disney park!! And part of thay amazing experience was coming to this restaurant. They were sooooo good. So good I went twice haha. We ordered the Cobb salad and two steaks. Cooked to perfection. Literally perfection. So tasty. The service was the best. It was our anniversary and they treated us to free champagne (two rounds) and a free dessert. Soooo nice!!! Thr carrot cake was the best I've ever had. The restaurant is also beautiful. It had my attention thr second I entered and saw all the beef dry aging. I knew this was the right place!!! I can't wait to come back here.

We dined at Old Hickory on New Year's Eve. We did not have reservations and we were told that they were booked for the night. We were told, however, that there were 14 seats at the bar. So, we were lined up at the entrance at opening to seat our party of 9 there. First, there are only 10 seats at the bar. Because there were other people waiting with us, only 6 of us sat at the bar. Accurate information would have helped as the 3 who didn't stay would have never came as they weren't super hungry. The food was really good! No complaints there! I wish that we would have skipped the Potatoes Au Gratin, but that was on us. The servers at the bar were great! No complaints there, either! Our bill for 3 people on NYE was $350 without tip. Even though the food and service we received at the bar was amazing, I am giving them 4 stars. Part of it is that the hosts didn't even know how many seats were at the bar. But, mostly it was for what we observed while sitting at the bar. Even though the reservations were booked out, there were many tables sitting empty. Some people just came in and sat themselves...and were served. And the servers complained about the, being there, but didn't tell the, they couldn't be there. Then, they get sat a table or two, and all were heard was complaining that they were sat. We knew all this, because they were talking about this at the server part of the bar right next to where we were sitting. And the tables...they could have easily been turned over in the 1.5 hours we were there. The servers were just sitting around. I may sound harsh, but as a former restaurant FOH employee, that is what I observed. I would probably go back. The service we received was excellent and so was the food. But we will plan better next time!

I was pleasantly surprised by Old Hickory. I was waiting all week at the hotel to try it and there was a large crowd around the restaurant at opening. I would recommend getting reservations. I could usually tell what kind of dining experience I would have just with the starter bread. It was delicious! They have their butter shaped like honeycomb and they add drops of honey that was harvested on property. To start, we ordered a jumbo lump crap cake. I was happy to see it was full of crab and came with caviar and a small salad. The bone marrow had a good roast on the outside and had a lovely onion marmalade. I got the special that night of a smaller version of the tomahawk steak. It was perfectly cooked and came with roasted garlic and tomato. My +1 got the chicken and the bone was nicely Frenched. It made a great late night snack. The lobster mac n cheese was oh so gooey. The only downer for me was the dessert. The Black Forest cake was shaped like a cherry. It was like art, but I think a normal slice would have made me happier.

Service was spectacular, the place is great because you can sit "outside" but still under air conditioning since it's inside the Gaylord Palms. The food is good, a bit pricey, but somewhat justifiable because you are getting quality food and it is in a tourist area. The Artisanal Cheese platter was great. The French Onion soup was on the saltier side but it had great deep flavors (and it is pretty filling, it can be an entree for someone that doesn't each much). We also had the pork belly appetizer and it was very good. I ordered the 45 dry aged NY Strip and it was very good, but the dry aged nutty/funky flavors was not very noticeable. But it was cooked to perfection medium rare. Others ordered the Double Cut Colorado Lamb Chops and they said it was good, but nothing memorable. Another person in the party got the Center Cut Filet Mignon and it was very, VERY tender! For the sides, I think we got too many because the server said each 'em was enough for two people, but they are really for three to four with all the other food we got. Mac and Cheese, was ok. The mushrooms and asparagus were delicious. But the one we liked the most was the roasted poblano creamed corn. After this feast we didn't have room for dessert, but we were told the carrot cake is a must... maybe for the next time.

I went for my birthday around Christmas time. We were seated outside in the atrium and it was beautiful with the floating lit Christmas trees and other Christmas decor. Our server was sweet and easily recommended a wine pairing and noted some of her favorite dishes. I opted for the 14 oz wagyu which was incredible tender but I definitely bit off more than I could chew. After the incredibly delicious scallops, lobster bisque and bread and butter; I could only get through half of the steak. Truly a memorable dinner and a beautiful birthday celebration. Highly recommend for a special night out.

amazing! by far the most amazing steak i've ever had. the cheese sampler was the highlight of the meal for me and every employee we encountered was phenomenal. Thanks Sharon!

Wonderful setting inside the Gaylord Palms. Ask for the lower level if you want to sit overlooking greenery. The sourdough rolls are made fresh from 50 year old starter and served with honey butter (they have their own hives). The crab cake is delicious and made with caviar on top. The caesar salad is average and could use more dressing. The Delmonico steak was a bit fatty but tasty as were the mashed potatoes. Get the black forest dessert. Service was not rushed.

Amazing dinner at our favorite hotel in Orlando. We made reservations (recommended) and were promptly seated. Our wait staff was so attentive. We started with the select three cheeses. The cheese was paired with house made crackers, olives, house made strawberry jam and honey harvested on the property. We loved two out of the three cheeses. After that, we enjoyed the diver scallop appetizer and the crab cake. Both dishes were outstanding. Our last course was our entrees. We selected the snapper and the center cut filet. Both are highly recommended. The snapper was served over a risotto. The filet came with roasted garlic and tomato. Too full for dessert, we called it a night.

Had a staff dinner here and had an incredible experience. We had the private dining room to ourselves and the service and food were both excellent! The restaurant has been newly remodeled and looks great. Truffle fries were fantastic, Potatoes au Gratin were delicious, the filet was so tender and the bread came with butter that had honey from Gaylord's bee hives on property. The sides are a sharing size portion. Wine selection was great at first glance, but a lot of the wines had substitutions for the options for the glass. Most options you had to get by the bottle. Desserts were pretty good as well. Overall had a wonderful time.

No gravy for chicken and gravy. No green beans. No vegetables. We didn't know any of that ahead of time. When our food arrived, the sauces and sides didn't come out with the food. When they went back to get them, they had no sauces and no vegetables/green beans. The chicken and gravy Father's Day special had no gravy, the steak chimichurri had no chimichurri. No warning from the kitchen and waitress was sent out to tell us. Solution to all of it was to give us a $3 discount on the individual items, the steak and the chicken and gravy. It's hard to explain how exceptionally slow, cold and overcooked the food was. Seemed like one server, one manager and one cook at the restaurant. Wouldn't have written the review if they were even somewhat understanding of how bad things were. The $3 off was incredibly token especially for Father's Day meal where we spent upwards of $500. Just didn't want anyone else having the experience we did.

We ended up parking in the back and walking up to the front. However walking in I got a very modern vibe. Our server was very nice. My Spanish was not as strong as I'd like it to be but I tried lol. We got the Metamorphosis cocktails (tequila, vodka, berries, thyme syrup, passionfruit, butterfly ice) to start. These were really strong and very tasty. The butterfly ice I believe is like a butterfly pea flower ice ball which added some floral notes to it. We shared the Mofonguitos Trio (chicken, shrimp, steak, garlic white sauce, pink sauce, ell sauce on top) minus the steak as they didn't have it available, so it was 2 chicken and 1 shrimp. The chicken was pulled and the shrimp were jumbo. But that sauce blend? That made everything taste amazing. I wanted the Pulpo A La Brasa (grilled spanish octopus, malanga mash, pico de gallo, cherry tomatoes) but they were out of that day. I was sad but I ended up getting the same thing my babe got, the Salmon Caribeno (pan seared crispy skin Alaskan salmon, passion fruit sauce, pico de gallo) with a side of Malanga (root vegetable) mash. That mash tho! OMG that was so delicious! I think I'd rather eat that than potatoes for the rest of my life. They also covered it with cheese which didn't do anything to the flavor, but I won't reject cheese on anything. The salmon came out in two filets smothered in that passion fruit sauce, omg. Again, the sauce was everything. For his dessert he got the Duo Exotico cocktail (vodka, strawberry, tropical sweet Basil, oleo saccharum). This was too strong for me but A+ for the presentation, which was a bug shaped glass. This turned out to be a pretty expensive meal and if we come again we'll be mindful and not get lost in the sauce.

I was about 25 minutes away, when I took my family here, and they were wondering where we were going, but let me tell you, they were not disappointed by the food, service and the surround area. When we arrived, it seemed like a downtown area that was kind of chill because it was a Tuesday early evening. Barely any traffic around and tons of open parking, especially right in front to the restaurant. From the front I noticed some funny signs, a patio that was wide open for seating, yard games and a nice cozy dive bar vibe. When we went inside, we were immediately greeted at the counter by our server. It was not busy, there was actually only one customer sitting at the bar. The bar has about 6 seats and has TVs to watch and the restaurant if filled with tons of cool Classic Rock pictures, memorabilia and quotes. It was just the vibe we needed to just hang as a family. The server allowed us to pick any table we wanted. We ordered margaritas. They were delicious. We also has the RIBS, okra, mac & cheese, potato salad, some greens, cornbread, brisket, grilled cheese sandwich and fries. EVERYTHING, including the SERVICE was on point; we left well fed, satisfied and happy we found this place to eat tonight. To walk off the food , there is a park right across the street. At the park you will find food trucks for dessert, like ice cream on a hot day. There's also a walking trail and a play ground for the kiddos. There was an area where people were fishing off the doc. I saw an area where people also get married and a facility for our veterans. I included some pictures of what I saw along my way after I left the restaurant for people looking for things to do in the area with a family and/or friends. If you're ever in the area, I highly recommend you stop by this restaurant for some good eats, drinks and just a place to relax and have a good time. There's also service is great and the area is filled with things to do afterwards. Thank me later.
