    Chicken breast and legs

This place is so busy. They do not take reservations. You put in your name and they will call you once a table is available. There are speakers outside and in the general store. You should be able to hear your name anywhere outside. The chicken or pot pie is what is mostly ordered. We ordered 2 platters of chicken. One platter with 1 breast and 4 drumsticks. The second platter was 6 drumsticks. We also ordered a platter of catfish. You can't go wrong. The chicken was moist and delicious. The catfish was breaded and was good. We had green beans as a side. Also mashed potatoes. The platters included salad and soup. We will be back again.

Just three words of advise when visiting here... Show Up Hungry! This was a huge amount of food and every last bit of it was delicious. I got the country breakfast and managed to eat about half of it before I had to give up. Seriously worth the cost.

Their version of the club sandwich. Looks good right well looks can be deceiving

First we were sat at a table and after sitting for 10 minutes and 4 groups after us get taken care of we finally asked someone "did someone forget about us"? She was annoyed and she came back and said well I guess I'm your server we never have more than 4 tables at once you make 5. I said well I didn't do this to you regardless. She brought over a complimentary cup of soup that looked like vegetable pudding. Soup should not jiggle like pudding. My wife actually ordered soup and it had absolutely no flavor and no meat basically huge chunk of cabbage and a couple carrots. Now onto my club sandwich. First it looked pretty but my tomato was green so that had to come off, second the turkey had a funky smell to it and I was not brave enough to attempt to eat it. Ate a couple fries that also were not it. Just asked for my bill at this point was so over it and it wasn't expensive so just my losses. She asked if I wanted a to go box I laughed and said not this time thanks.

Of course we had to try the highly rated Old Mill Restaurant during a recent visit to the city! We were quoted a 45 mins wait but it was over an hour. We visited the store and water while we waited. The atmosphere definitely fits the city country vibe of Pigeon Forge. I had the chicken and dumplings which were so good. They came with green beans, mash potatoes, corn chowder and hush puppies which were also great. Our server was very friendly and made the experience even better. I can see why they are so highly rated! Everything was good!

This place is absolutely delicious! Don't let the pricing fool you because you get an abundance of food which includes a soup, salad, hush puppies, and dessert all included with your meal. Everything came relatively quickly and the food was steaming hot. We enjoyed our service and felt our needs were attended to. I'd absolutely would love to back here!

This was our first stop in Pigeon Forge and we had a great experience. There was a wait but it they seated people quickly. Our waiter was very nice and helpful when asking for dish recommendations. I had the turkey dinner meal and the cornbread dressing was amazing! The green beans were soggy and not flavorful but everything else we ordered was great. Other dishes enjoyed at the table were the boiled catfish and chicken and dumplings. The dumplings were really well flavored. Great spot for good ole southern comfort food.

So good came here 3 times. Everything from breakfast to dinner was amazing. The food is truly home made and high quality in every aspect. Everything tasted amazing and portions and huge. You definitely will not leave hungry of unsatisfied. The value for you money is best meal in pigeon forge as well.

We had heard a lot about the Old Mill and trying this out if visiting. Once pulling up and checking in this gave us the same vibes of St. Augustine. Very crowded when we arrived and were told a 30 minute wait but were called much quicker. The decor is amazing and the views depending what floor your on determine if you can view the river. The lower floors have those views. The service was good but definitely stretched so you may not see them often. The food was pretty good, you can tell this was scratch and made with care. Get here early if you want to try them out.

We love the Old Mill Restaurant. Probably our favorite in Pigeon Forge. Down home cooking at its best. It was extremely busy when we arrived but definitely worth the wait. As with any busy restaurant , it was loud, but it didn't bother us. Johnny was on the spot today. Our favorite server, Santiago, was only taking large tables according to the hostess who could have been kinder, but Johnny definitely filled his place well. The corn chowder was amazing as were the corn fritters. Piping hot. Husband ordered the Country Fried Chicken with the gravy on the side. Added Cole slaw. I had the Pot roast with slaw instead of green beans. Everything was incredibly delicious! Food was perfect and the service on point. Always worth the wait. No time wasted when you get food as great as this.

I have mixed feelings about this place and if I could rate it separately on the restaurant experience and the food, I would. I'll start with the positive - the food is better than expected. My catfish dinner was tasty and hot. Each meal comes with a variety of sides, corn fritters, salad, soup and dessert and everything exceeded my expectations as far as quality goes. The value is good and portions plentiful. We ended up taking my husbands entire chicken pot pie to go as we were already full by the time our entrees came out. The only disappointment food-wise was that they were out of banana pudding by time we ordered dessert, but the pecan pie was a great consolation. That said, the overall experience of this place is exactly what you'd expect from a touristy restaurant turning over hoards of people as quickly as possible. From beginning to end, it felt like I was eating at Disney World, from the Big Thunder Mountain-like queue (and hour plus wait) to the nondescript, somewhat dirty dining rooms. Our server was efficient and nice, but was obviously extremely busy, as were the dozens of others scurrying around with huge trays full of food. Overall, I'd average the food 4 stars with the experience 2 stars, for an overall 3 stars. It's not a place I'll itch to return to, but I wasn't sorry we went either.

Fresh fruit plate with homemade chicken salad. Excellent!

We went between lunch and dinner. They quoted a 40 min wait but we were seated in 15 min, so that was great. Gary our waiter was attentive and able to answer questions. It is A LOT of food. Skip the ribeye (under seasoned) but the cook temp was perfect. Green beans were good. Side salad was fresh. The star of the dinner was my huge chicken salad and fruit plate. The corn fritters and biscuits are tasty, and the corn chowder was good if that's your thing. So much food we took our dessert to go, and haven't tried it yet.

Waited 1.25 hours to get in and it was so worth it. Hubby got the pot pie which was huge!! He also got the pecan pie for dessert which was delicious!! I got the turkey dinner which was absolutely delicious. Along with the fritters, soup, salad, green beans and mashed potatoes with our meal. My husband who doesn't even like turkey took a bite and said it was really good. Savannah was our server and she was attentive and answered all of our questions since this was the first time dining here. She's a gem. I got the chocolate cake for dessert and Savannah told me that it was really decadent. It was and I would have preferred getting the pecan pie. Dinner at Old Mill was fantastic! Highly recommend despite the wait. Can shop around the area or visit their store or do a tasting at their distillery while waiting.

The fried green tomatoes were also awesome, and so was the shrimp and grits which was a "lighter" version with the veggies and tomato base in the grits. The lunch specials are a steal and a healthy portion size too. Available every day 11am-4pm. Complimentary freshly baked bread served warm upon request. We had high hopes for the pies and ordered the seasonal lemonade pie. It was meh. We would pass on this one. Heather was our server and she was great! We walked in around 3pm on a Saturday and were told it'd be maybe a ten minute wait but then got a text as soon as we sat down that a table was ready! After joining the waitlist online before driving to the restaurant, we were seated immediately upon arrival at a high top in the bar area. I enjoyed the chill vibe. Our server was attentive, friendly, and helpful. I ordered the Hawaiian Ribeye. Our server said it was his favorite thing on the menu and I could see why. The steak was cooked perfectly. It was marinated in pineapple ginger sauce and then basted with teriyaki. It was absolutely juicy and delicious. I highly recommend this steak, which rivals the steaks at any of those over-priced steakhouses. The steak came with a salad and I chose the house lemon dressing. I continue to dream about this creamy, slightly salty dressing. They should definitely bottle it and sell it! I chose a baked sweet potato for a side and it was huge and unfortunately not cooked through, but I enjoyed the fully cooked parts. My husband ordered the Killin Me Burger, a full pound of meat with onion straws and thousand Island dressing on a brioche bun. He said it was the best burger he's ever had and my man knows his burgers! The bun was struggling, so my only suggestion is a sturdier bun. A really magnificent meal at a fun place! I've put it on my favorites list.

He enjoyed it and said it's one of the better ones he's had! We both ordered smash burgers and sweet potato fries - I had the junction 35 (pimento cheese + bacon jam) and he had the farmhouse (bacon + fried egg). Both were amazing! Juicy burgers, perfect size patties for smash burgers, the buns were fresh and held up nicely, and the toppings were great. Sweet potato fries had a great crunch and were seasoned really well. He order the espresso and I ordered a smoked one. By far one of the best I've ever had. We had the fried green tomatoes and they were tasty, a little more pimento would have made them perfect. Now the bad. I'm not sure what all the other folks ate that left such great reviews, but I can only assume that none of them had the brisket Mac and Cheese. Because it was cold and there was zero flavor. I literally had to use the BBQ sauce to get some flavor in the food. The Mac and cheese tasted like the old school powder Kraft. My husband wasn't a fan of his burger because it had the same bad Mac and cheese on it. Needless to say as much as we visit the mountains this will be our one and only time at Junction 35.

Or none. But we've definitely had much worse. It was pretty quiet when we started our meal but it became pretty busy. Parents really need to be mindful that they aren't the only ones present in a bustling restaurant and remove the screaming child making it miserable for the other guests. Twenty minutes of that was too much. Uncalled for. That comes from a parent (me). But I digress. The food was probably the best we've had since coming here. The pot roast and fish were excellent as were the potatoes, creamed corn, broccoli cheese casserole and okra (tons of seasoning which was amazing). Yes. I know it is not traditional southern okra but it's still pretty darned good. Why the four stars? One: they do not bring enough food. Before the server left the table after bringing our food, we had to ask for more potatoes and pot roast. Not enough to go around and we were taking small helpings. Then one has to wait for more. That's not the way it should be. Serving portions should be measured per number of guests per table. Not guesstimates. Two: they've started charging for desserts. What used to come with the meal is now extra. Costs are high enough as it is so we sadly skipped the ooey gooey butter cake and banana pudding. The sole reason for this review is to give a heads up about the change. All in all, the meal was delicious. Will definitely return.
