I went there with my three children and my husband after having wonderful day with my family. We was seated at 440pm and was not seen for another 20 minutes for our drink order and meal order. We realize that the restaurant was busy but it was not at full capacity because it was available tables that were open. We were still patient at the same time. After placing our order we waited 55 minutes to receive it And after waiting almost an hour they brought out the wrong sandwich. When I tried to explain to server that i received the wrong order for my grilled chicken sandwich which I was just requesting just to have no jalapeños and no bun. The server assumed that I was requesting FRIED CHICKEN Which I felt was very insulting because I am a woman of color . My wife and I chose to check out Ole Red Saturday evening. I'm not a huge Country Music fan but enjoy anything played well. I was impressed with the venue and stage setup. A true Showcase restaurant. The staff was awesome! Seriously, the best service we've ever experienced. Thanks Meghan! Even the hostess staff was awesome. As far as food goes, we split a chicken meal that was a special and it was delivered in a bucket, which was fine. The food was prepared well and the tater tots were the best we ever had. We were given extremely cheap plastic ware (worse than you'd get at Burger King) and when I asked for plates, the server said they only have cardboard bowls and small cocktail plastic plates. I really felt like I was out of line for asking for something appropriate to place my food on. She brought us the bowls and we dealt with it. This part of the meal experience was really unacceptable. I understand disposable utencils but this level of cheap was insulting! We were very disappointed to find out that on a Saturday night with a full house, the entertainment was only two members of a local band. Although they did sing good, I've seen better solo guitar/singer set ups at free open air events. I was looking forward to hearing a legit House Band and we got part of a local band that appeared to have little experience in how to entertain in this type of venue. No drums, no bass, no full frequency experience until they went on break and music videos were played. One would have guessed that something happened to the rest of the band and they did not show but, these two guys were shown on the website when I looked up the club the day before. We watched a full club empty way too soon as people seemed to leave to find something else to do. After we listened to a set, my wife asked me to deliver a request she wrote on a piece of paper along with a tip. I set it on the floor in front of the guitar player and he acknowledged it. The next set, both guys ignored it the entire set as they sat there asking each other what they should play next! Also sang Happy Birthday 3 or 4 times in one set. Like I said earlier, this venue seemed to be out of their league. I truly understand that restaurants have big challenges right now but we saw the full house when we came in. I was so encouraged at all the people wanting to patronize this cool new venue. My wife and I spent 100 bucks on our time there and would have stayed longer but certain aspects just seemed so cheap! I want this place to do well and hope they focus more on the entertainment product. It's not a place to go for a "nice" dining experience but the entertainment should be knock your socks off, not local carnival attraction. We will probably go back if I know in advance they have a decent band. The guys we experienced were both talented for sure but to me, it screamed of financial distress on the clubs part. Happened upon this place while visiting Orlando ... great looking place. We went on a late afternoon, early evening Sunday so everyone was still at DISNEY, LOL. It was slow and quiet inside. There was a live performer as advertised. A solo singer on his guitar, a few originals, some covers, (you should have seen it in color - LOVE IT) a crooner, so no one was doing the boot scoot boogie!!! Or the Watermelon Crawl, LOL. We were greeted immediately, sat center stage and greeted shortly thereafter by a very nice waitress. I went with the BBQ platter, my wife did a salad and picked off of mine. They have an extensive bar, this is clearly a tourist geared place. The food is just ok, service was great. I have to imagine with the right band which are probably reserved for FRI and SAT nights this place would be rocking. You are going for the right entertainment, the atmosphere, and the tourist experience. If you go in, have a couple of IPA's or cocktails, then order your food, you are going to have a good time. read more

Our first time we have been here and we were beyond happy. The food was delicious and tasted fresh, the restaurant theme, decor, music and food all meshed very well. The staff was very friendly. Went here Friday and it was not all that busy. We were a group of 4, young adults. I don't know if the waitress judged us from the beginning and thought we wouldn't tip due to our age but her service was terrible. Believe me, we are all patient and understanding but she was just that bad. When we were ready to leave we had been waiting about 15 minutes before she even asked if we were ready for the check. Even thought she walked past us plenty of times and I was holding my card. She took forever to bring it to us as well. THEN, she messed up and took another 25 minutes before she brought us the fixed copy. It was very obvious that she did not care. I was baffled by how poor the service was. We still tipped her, We always tip no matter what. however I really considered not even tipping because of how much we were ignored. This was our second trip going over to Orlando specifically to go to Ole Red. For those of you who don't know this is a bar restaurant owned by Blake Shelton. They have a nice selection of souvenirs in the front as a life-size cutout of Blake that you could take a picture next to. The staff is always friendly, but sometimes a little slow with serving. Once the music stops, a new singer comes up on the stage. We have seen some incredible singers that I hope to one day here on the radio. We were there Saturday at 2 PM and the guy on the stage was awesome. Each singer has a 2 1/2 hour time slot with 2 15 minute breaks. there is even a dance floor in front of the bar for those who would like to get up and dance. Fun, family atmosphere also great for any event. The food is large portions so you may want to share. I just wish they had more chicken options and maybe a few pasta options without meat. read more

Date night Friday night just to get out of the house. The band was awesome and having Blake FaceTime in was also a great surprise. That was the good. Wife ordered a cocktail from menu. $16 with a souvenir cup. No option to buy without. Strange and disappointing. The drink itself was soda water with ice. No alcohol detected at all. She was so disappointed she didn't finish it. I ordered a draft beer so I knew what I was getting. We ordered the nachos from limited menu. Another disappointment. Mountain of chips and that's about it. Little bit of flavorless meat and old rubbery globe of cheese. It came out in less than 2 minutes so I should not have been surprised. If you get Jan Bundy as your server, you'll be in luck. We had a really hard time with the reservation system and getting seated at Ole Red. The woman at the check in desk couldn't give us even an estimation of how long it would be to get a table so we ended up missing our reservation while on the Wheel. We were lucky to get in close to 2 hours later and were seated with the nicest server. Jan made up for the flawed reservation system and made sure we were taken care of and having a good time. She's the epitomy of southern hospitality and I'd definitely come back to sit in her section again. The food was tasty and the band was great. They have a nice little lighting rig and are similar to a house of blues setup but with tables on the floor. Went there for dinner. Atmosphere was great, menu was ok but service was less than impressive. Our waitress was not friendly. We ordered nachos as an app but felt rushed to order our meals. We got our app and less than 5 minutes later we got our meals. We choose to eat our meals instead of finishing our app so they didn't get cold. It's a nicely built music venue and the staff is great. Being local, we've visited a few times. They now have regular house bands on Friday and Saturday nights. Each is good, but the lead singer of the Saturday night band seems to get pretty drunk on stage (enough to forget words to songs and forget where they're at in a song and also forget requests). It's always fun when a band will raise a glass with you, but fun turning into sloppy is another level. On our last visit, we lost count of the amount of shots and drinks he had up there. 1st of all we went here because google maps says they close at 11pm. We arrived at 950pm and the band was apparently on break so we asked the bartender "sparrow" when does the band start up again and he just said "they play till 1030pm and last call is 1015pm..... we asked again when does the band go back on and he kept repeating himself and not answering the question.. After him getting really annoyed at us with his bad attitude he finally said he has NO idea when the band will come back on.... Really?? Then he said last call again is at 1015pm because they are closing early at 1030pm.. we told him google says they are open till 11pm and he just said I do what management says and they said we are closing early because it's slow.. we counted 42 people there enjoying the band (that started at 10pm by the way). Is 42 pp slow?? Even if it's slow why close early???? There were tons of people walking around right outside their front doors! Every drink we ordered, he had some attitude describing what our options where. never smiled, or said thank you and when I asked for a receipt he said he needs to now get a manager to print up my receipt.. ya ok. He was obviously annoyed and was ready to go home early. Why are they closing 30 mins early?? Does that 30 mins really make a difference? You advertise 11pm, STICK TO YOUR TIMES!! After being sat we were not acknowledged for 13 minutes, our server did not provide refills on drinks and only came to our table a total of 4 times in an hour and a half. Went to visit with my 10 year old daughter. I'm from out of town so I didn't realize this is a live music venue until we got inside. We were seated right in front of the stage with a speaker literally sitting right above the corner of our table. Not sure why we were given a 4-top as they had lots of open two seater tables further away and a long list of ppl waiting to get in that looked like larger parties, but I digress. We came here for the bbq and we were sadly disappointed. The Redneck shrimp appetizer was great, but the entrees were pretty bad. The brisket sandwich I had was just plain awful. Dry and what seemed like a random assortment of flavors. My daughter had the ribs and I've had better left over ribs from the local grocery store at closing time. Absolutely terrible. Wow! If I could give Ole Red more than 5 stare. My first time at Ole Reds.I would! From the moment we walked into the door and was greeted by John, we felt like we were visiting good friends. Blake Shelton should be very proud of this restaurant. During this pandemic, I have seen a decline in service when visiting different restaurants. I have to say the service here was impeccable! Our server was Christina. She is the best server I have ever had and any restaurant. We learned she had only been there for little while. She had been furloughed from her career job and felt blessed to get hired on at Ole Red. She wasn't positive and excited to meet us like we were life long friend. She pointed out her recommendations on the menus and validated our choices when we ordered. We got our meal promptly and it was delish! Everything Christina suggested was wonderful. I ordered the Chicken Pimento and cheese wrap and it was very fresh and refreshing from the hot summer day. We also had the honey buttered cornbread. Don't tell my mom but I believe it was the best cornbread I have had in a restaurant (almost as good as mama's). They had a live band, Bryan Malpass, who was also part of the Ole Red battle of the bands tonight where he was com praying against the cover bands from the other 3 Ole Reds across the country. The bands from the other restaurants were televised in and you could vote on you favorite. I had never heard of Bryan Malpass but in my humble opinion, he should have one. He did a cover of "Joleen" and knocked it out of the park. We thought he had won because you could see the results as you voted. It had to had been very close. The cool thing is they will battle again next Wednesday night. It is a new thing they are starting. We had a fantastic evening and we will be back. I don't know if Blake Shelton reads the reviews but if he does... 1. Congrats on a great restaurant 2. John is amazing 3. Christina's drive for excellence is incredible. Went Saturday night specifically to watch the band, got seated upstairs in the far back, couldn't see the stage at all. Second floor you will need to be sat around the railing to see over it and watch the band. Went back Tuesday night and asked to be sat on the main floor close to the stage, which we were, great table. Food, however, was not good. We ordered the tator tots (not bad) and the 'special' a cuban sandwich. It was not a cuban sandwich, it was smothered in cheese sauce (I think it was the beer cheese sauce, which they serve on a lot of dishes) and didn't have pickles on it. Very strange. Small menu, not many choices. Also, no bottled beer, everything is served in a plastic cup, not sure if this will be just a Covid thing or not. Music was fantastic.
