I'm staying at the Glenmark and popped into Olia for a salad and drinks. The bartender Rita is uh-mazing. She made amazing drinks just how we liked them. The salad was doused in dressing and not so great, but the hospitality was phenomenal. The bar area is quaint and the eating area is pretty as well. This is a decent option if you're staying at the hotel.

We had heard great things about Olía and decided to try it for ourselves. Easy and plenty of street parking when we arrived at about 11 am and it's away from the chaos of downtown Glendale. We were greeted by a few friendly employees and handed menus. We ordered a cheese burger and breakfast wrap. Both were great and arrived to our table in about 15 minutes. The breakfast wrap comes with cheddar cheese and I replaced it with goat cheese, it was fantastic! There is a coffee bar with Starbucks coffee and plenty of other coffees available. Seating is available inside or outside and there are heaters on the patio but they weren't on, so we opted for inside. It was loud inside at all and we could hear each other with no problem. We highly recommend a stop here and we will definitely be back. Enjoy!

Very disappointing service. We said hello when we arrived and the waiter ignored us. We waited 10-15 minutes to order, and no one helped. When the waiter finally came, she told us to wait and then turned away to laugh and chat with another staff member. Poor management and poor service. I don't recommend this place if you value your time.

As the main restaurant of the Glenmark hotel, Olia features a mixture of California and Armenian dishes. It is a fusion restaurant that does a solid job jumping from a khachapuri to an avocado toast, a feat that few spots would dare to put on one menu. The interior is brightly lit, with large open windows, high ceilings and elegant contemporary bistro furniture. Ordering occurs at the counter and the staff are incredibly kind. There is a homey sense to Olia somehow and despite being located in a hotel, it felt that a lot of the diners are regulars as opposed to hotel guests. Armenians coming to sit down for hours, to enjoy each other's company. The California khachapuri may be the highlight of the menu, served with avocado. As a whole, an excellent spot. Fresh ingredients and an adventurous selection that is executed well.

I was traveling alone and loved that I could order this high quality meal without having to visit the roof top restaurant. I was in the hotel common area. The atmosphere was cozy and even a little lively. I ordered the lamb and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Beautifully plated too. Service was impeccable. I'll for sure done here again next time I'm in town.

Staff is patient as well and the aura of the place is so relaxing, however I do feel like there's quite a few things missing. Let's talk about food! The food is definitely fresh and you can tell! I ordered the waffle which was good. The shakshuka was okay nothing revolutionary. I did let them know I can't have spice at all but the shakshuka does have spice in it and was brought out. Thankfully they were willing to fix it! Water you do have to go get yourself. This wouldn't be my go-to however overall wouldn't mind going back again.

Olia Restaurant offers an exceptional dining setting...it's clean, upscale, and the attention to detail in the restaurant is truly excellent. The food is also spot on. I highly recommend the Shakshouka and Matcha Pancakes, which were both awesome and really tasty. It's a nice touch that they also serve Starbucks coffee. The only drawback is the service, which was occasionally questionable; staff were blunt, often responding with a simple "no" instead of offering helpful alternatives for requests. It doesn't take much to please a customer; all you gotta do is try. If they improve this approach to customer service, Olia is an easy 5-star restaurant.

    Soujouk khatchapori

This is a beautiful restaurant but everything else was mediocre, at best. Service was kind but was lacking in all aspects of hospitality. Our waiter seemed more confused about the menu items than we were. They noted having half and full sizes of the khatchapori, however, the waiter said that they only come in a "medium" size. She was not able to tell us how much it cost until we saw it later on our bill, which was identical to the full size. We had no utensils and water until after we received our meals. We also didn't get one of our side dishes until after we paid for the check, which we obviously took to go. The price of the meal was not consistent with the quality and value of service as well as the food. Although the food items tasted fresh and came out warm, they were rather lackluster. There wasn't even any salt, pepper, or hot sauce available to us. The one really good thing they have going. Here is their coffee. They serve intelligentsia, which in my opinion is one of the best in the market! Parking is also rather expensive for visitors. To park in their lot, it costs $15. I would opt for street parking if I were you as it is relatively free on most spaces on Brand Blvd.

The restaurant looked pretty upscale so I wasn't sure it was the best option for us. When we went inside, it was reassuring that we could see a lot of families. They also chose a table for us that was perfect for our party in an enclosed space, and we only had to wait about 10 minutes for a table. I guess because I went in with zero expectations, I was pleasantly surprised. The service overall was pleasant. They had a kids menu, which was also nice. The food was not overpriced and the truffle rigatoni with sausage that the waiter recommended was fantastic. That was actually what my husband ordered. I wish I had taken the waiter's rec! My seafood pasta was also pretty good and I cleared the plate. My 3 kids were happy and ordered pizza, chicken fingers, and Mac n cheese. Overall, I would come back here. My only complaint was the kids meal said it came with a scoop of ice cream that was never served. We decided it was okay since we were going to get dessert somewhere else anyway.

Don't waste your money- you can get much better Italian food anywhere else. The only thing about this restaurant is the nice vibe which you get from Americana crowd and views if you sit outside!

I was reading this page and saw mixed reviews, so I decided to try it with my son and make my own determination. They have no parking but thankfully we found a spot on the side street. The restaurant is located on the ground level of an apartment building. They also have outdoor seating, but we sat inside. One restroom each for men/women (and super clean). We walked in and got a pleasant greeting from Mia. She was HANDS DOWN the best part of this experience and provided stellar customer service. She is so young and has a bright future ahead of her. Mia treated us with genuine kindness and was a pleasure to talk to during our dinner. She made sure we were well taken care of and our orders were to our exact specifications. This restaurant is very lucky to have someone as good as her working there. For our appetizers, we got the Cesar Salad ($17), Parmesan on the side, and Bruschetta ($17). I also asked Mia if they bring complimentary bread to the table and she said they do, upon request. She asked if we wanted olive oil or butter and I chose butter. My son and I both enjoyed the Bruschetta and thought it tasted very good. The bread was nicely toasted and the tomatoes were seasoned well. It was also a good portion, easily shareable between 2-3 people. The salad wasn't our favorite and we've definitely had better at other restaurants. The lettuce didn't taste too fresh and the dressing wasn't really that good. The portion size was good, though. For my entrée, I got the Spicy Rigatoni ($22) but I asked for it to be light on the spice and added shrimp (+$12). It tasted fine, nothing really to write home about. I had to ask Mia to microwave it for a minute because it wasn't hot. My son ordered the Chicken Parmigiana ($23) but asked for the chicken to be grilled instead of breaded. He said he enjoyed his dish and the tomato sauce had a good amount of garlic in it. For dessert, Mia was kind enough to bring out a complimentary Key Lime Cheesecake since she found out my son is celebrating his birthday in a few days. She was seriously impeccable. Honestly, the place is just really drab and boring. There isn't much decor and it feels like a slightly elevated diner that serves beer and wine. It was a Friday night and there was no one in there/no pickup orders. We were there from about 7:30pm-10pm when they closed and only 3 other parties came in. There is no music playing, which makes the atmosphere even more drab and lifeless. Its also super cold in there and I asked Mia to adjust the AC and even after she did, it was still cold. It's not an upbeat type of place at all but the food is decent and Mia's service is the best part. She herself is 10/5 stars, but for my overall experience, I'll stick with 4 stars this time.

She explained that they were short-staffed and had two brand new servers last Sunday and that she was frantically trying to take care of the cooking and the serving as well as greeting newcomers. That explanation makes sense and had we known that, we might have chosen to forego the reservation that day or not been upset. I appreciate her taking the time to get back to us and being so candid and self-effacing. It seems it was a confluence of unfortunate factors that led to us having a sub-par experience at a respected restaurant.

Four of us arrived for dinner right as the doors opened on a Saturday night, and while the food is excellent, I really wish they were open for lunch and dinner. The experience is solid old-school Italian exactly as you would expect; the interior, from the booths and tables to the decor, hasn't changed in over 50 years. This place holds deep personal significance for me. My parents used to come here, and we visited often with my stepfather when he was alive. I have great family memories tied to this space. Our meal started traditionally with a bread basket served with cold butter. Because I was saving my appetite for a food charity event later that night, I stuck with the antipasto salad, while my mom and sisters enjoyed the chicken parmigiano, chicken piccata, and veal parmigiana. The food quality remains high, and the service was great. We enjoyed quick, polite service from a server who looked after us well. It is a wonderful spot for anyone looking for a nostalgic, quality meal in a setting that feels frozen in time.

Tucked away in an unexpected corner of North Hollywood, you walk through the entrance and suddenly feel as though you've been transported to a breathtaking Italian garden. The ambiance is absolutely magical and easily ranks among my top 10 dining experiences in Southern California. I've been coming here for well over a decade, and it has never lost its charm. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion, enjoying a romantic date night, meeting friends for brunch, or simply treating yourself to an unforgettable meal, Ca' Del Sole delivers every single time. The food is exceptional. Every dish is beautifully prepared with the quality, elegance, and attention to detail you'd expect from an upscale restaurant in France or Italy--but at prices that are surprisingly reasonable. It's rare to find a restaurant that feels this luxurious without the luxury price tag. Their brunch is outstanding, dinner is absolutely spectacular, and every meal feels like an occasion. The service is equally impressive. It's not unusual to spot an A-list celebrity dining here, but what I love most is that everyone is treated like a VIP. The hospitality is warm, genuine, and consistently exceptional. The staff has a way of making every guest feel welcome, appreciated, and completely taken care of. I especially love the beautiful cabanas and garden patio. It's one of those places where you find yourself lingering because you simply don't want the experience to end. Honestly, part of me wants to keep Ca' Del Sole a secret so I can always get a table--but restaurants this special deserve to be celebrated. If you're looking for incredible food, world-class service, unforgettable ambiance, and one of the most romantic dining experiences in Los Angeles, this is the place. Every visit reminds me why I keep coming back, and if I could, I'd happily celebrate every special occasion here.
