Cute little breakfast cafe tucked away in a plaza in Glendale. The food is delicious and fresh. You order at the counter and they'll bring it out to you. The coffee was good, which is a plus. Nothing is worse than going to getting breakfast and the coffee tastes like brown water. Nothing the case here. It's a good cup and you get a refill. The food was a little overpriced, but it was good. $7 for 3 strips of bacon is insane! With tip this was a $36 breakfast which is why it's empty. It's a shame though because the food is good. If it was more reasonably priced this would be a definite breakfast spot to repeatedly come to. read more

I've dined in a few months ago with my boyfriend and he enjoyed the breakfast plate (two eggs, hash browns, bacon, toast) and I had an avocado toast. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. More recently, my boyfriend was craving a breakfast plate so I recommended we get XO Cafe to-go (because I wasn't hungry for breakfast). I placed the order over the phone and they told me it would be over in 15 minutes. When I arrived at the restaurant it was very clean and my order was sitting on the counter ready for me. I appreciated that the server confirmed with me that I ordered eggs over- hard with NO runny yolk (my boyfriend hates runny yolk!). I went with XO Cafe for wedding small bites. Their representation via instagram looked promising but I had never tried the food. A bride never eats, but after my ceremony ended I took a bite of the beef sandwich and I was lost for words, it was amazing. My day of coordinators surprised me by packing me a plate of food and the rest of the small bites did not disappoint. There were these chicken salad bread cones that were SO good! I was addicted! We came in around 12pm, cashier was extremely rude. we asked if the orange juice had pulp and she gave us a snarky response saying its bottled and pointed at the fridge behind us, we brushed it off and waited for our food. Once we received our food it did not look appealing nor appetizing, when we tasted it we got a nasty smell which then we realized it was our plates. A very interesting experience. I think I got buckwheat grechka for my oatmeal order and my Americano was a watered down Armenian coffee that tastes like Edna's. They have a very technologically advanced touchscreen iPad for a register so have patience with the sweet grandma facetiming the owner 3 times in 5 minutes to ring up your order. The worst customer service ever. If you hire them for your event be sure to get everything in writing and signed. They change their prices even thought you have texts and have made a deposit. The worst people ever. Do not do business. I will continue telling everyone about them. At no point in time you advised you changed your prices. When people book in every business they pay what they have been quoted on, you cant change your prices because you feel like it. No i cancelled my request because you are shady and a liar. Deposit paid means i booked you for you quoted me. I asked you how much you need for deposit you said $100 so thats what you been paid. Nice place. We ate inside and it wasn't too crowded on a Monday. Very homemade food. I had the egg sandwich and my sister had the breakfast burrito. We both also had mochas to drink. The coffees were great! The sandwich was very good. Other breakfast sandwiches I have had usually are more like grilled cheese but this had so much egg in it. Delicious. I had a good breakfast at XO Cafe. I ordered a meat omelette and it didn't disappoint. The omelette came with the choice of potatoes or hash browns, I chose potatoes. The omelette was well seasoned and generously filled . I thought the potatoes could have used a little more seasoning but nothing a little ketchup couldn't fix. The place was really clean and spacious. I also enjoyed listening to the hip techno music they were playing, the speaker volume was set perfectly. Hand sanitizers were placed at every table as well as ketchup and tabasco sauce. The two ladies working were friendly and the cashier was generous enough to bring my meal to the table. While planning my son's first birthday party, I was on the hunt for a good Caterer. I came across XO café and loved their Instagram so I called and spoke to the owner Tenni. Right off the bat I felt very confident that she would be able to cater our needs. After having met her and seeing her work ethic and her beautiful café, I was super excited to host my son's party. When the day finally arrived, I was blown away by their professionalism. They're kind demeanor, and of course the food! I really want to support new and small businesses, but sorry XO Cafe just didnt do it for me. Came here on a Saturday night with friends and family. Ordered the Mozzarella Sticks and while I didnt have one, my sister said that the$6.99 price tag for 5 sticks was not worth it. We also ordered a medium Pesto Pizza. Ummm wheres the pesto? Couldnt see any pesto on or in the pizza. We had to actually confirm with the waiter that it was a pesto pizza. Biting into said pizza I could barely taste the slightest hint of pesto. And pesto is usually a pretty strong flavor. So in the end it was really like eating a thin cheese pizza. I personally ordered their Mushroom Burger with Fries. This is what one of the workers recommended. Saying it was huge. And that it had a special "xo sauce". That it was a combination of really great flavors. An aioli with garlic, seasonings, etc. So I ordered said burger, it was ok. Not partically large or impressive. Oh and the special "xo sauce", was ketchup and mayonnaise. At least thats what it tasted like to the four people that ordered burgers at our table. I will say that a couple of people really enjoyed their food here. Especially my friend who ordered their Chicken Pesto Panini. The food alone I would have given this place 3 maybe 4 stars for. The food was good enough and besides the Mozzarella Sticks, very reasonably priced. One might even say on the cheaper side. However there were other factors that made me not a fan of eating here. Drinks were only in bottles or cans. So no free refills. And if you wanted water there was only a pitcher of warm water available. There was nine of us eating and because they only had tables set up for two people, we had to push together three tables ourselves to sit together. And the last thing was that it was very warm inside the restaurant. Either they did not have AC or it was not turned on. My Mom was literally fanning herself with a menu. No thanks. read more

I came to XO Cafe a few days ago for their breakfast. I have seen the reviews online and yet I wanted to try out this spot. This cafe is located on San Fernando Blvd. between the cities of Glendale and Burbank in California. It is found in a plaza along with other restaurants. Parking is a bit of a hassle, but if you are lucky, you can find street parking or parking on the inside. While waiting for my food, I enjoyed seeing the ambiance of the restaurant. It may not be big, but that is okay! The bookshelf had water service as well and there was even a cute tic-tac toe display to show the X's and O's of the XO Cafe! Most of the decoration related to the cafe, which I though was really out of the ordinary. Most places just put up any decorations to give the place ambiance, but I do give XO Cafe my approval for being unique! In terms of food, I ordered the chorizo breakfast burrito and a protein shake for my drink. I was really pleased with my burrito because it was full of protein in terms of the chorizo, eggs, and potato. It was very filling! The protein shake did not disappoint me as well! It was rich in flavor and tasted great! The menu definitely has a variety of things that people can order during breakfast, lunch, and dinner so I will definitely come back to try out their other food! The service was really good! The person that took our order was really nice and when I asked her what kinds of drinks they had, she was able to name them on the top of her head. At first, she mentioned an iced matcha drink, but then my friend saw their board and he suggested the protein shake, When I asked the cashier what was in the protein shake, she was able to explain it all. I was definitely enticed by it so I ordered it. Towards the end of our meal, she said that we didn't have to throw away our stuff and that the staff would clean up our table! So thoughtful of them. Came to this spot on a Sunday afternoon to try there breakfast and we thought the food was ok. I got the eggs Benedict, the eggs were under seasoned, and English muffin was a bit to dry. My husband tried the breakfast burrito and he felt the same way that it could have used more seasoning and perhaps some sauce. I got chocolate chip pancakes for the kids and they enjoyed them..it had plenty of chocolate chips. I've had there pizza about a month ago at a kids birthday party and I must say that was delicious.
