We stayed at the Glenmark Hotel and had an opportunity to enjoy brunch at Olia. The avocado toast was so delicious, by far the best avocado toast I have had. The avocado toast was fully loaded with a generous amount of creamy and chunky avocados. It was topped with pickled red onions, radishes, watermelon radishes, and micro greens giving it a acidic and refreshing taste. The wedged eggs were cooked perfectly with the semi runny and crumbling brighten yolk, a very clever way of adding more texture to this dish. The charred flavor of the bread elevated this amazing avocado toast. Their beignets were so fluffy and coated with a superb amount of cinnamon sugar. The ratio between cinnamon and sugar was perfect. It paired so well with my cup of Chai Latte. The staff were very attentive, friendly and had a great smile that made my day. I live in the neighborhood & literally have to cross the street instead of walking past this place because the cheap perfume scent is so strong & unpleasant. I don't know who told the manager that "scent marketing" is a thing but this level of smell is super gross. It don't understand the thinking behind making a food establishment stink so badly that you can smell it down the block. Please consider toning it down at least to the point where people can walk by without getting nauseous. read more

I live very close to Olia and hadn't given this place a shot yet. Figured today is the day. I was craving a smoothie and they have various options. I got the Antioxidant smoothie which claims to include bananas, strawberries, berries and almond milk. I say "claims" because all I could taste was the almond milk. OK this is my fourth breakfast here and so far I've been satisfied with each and every one. The food was very good way above average I didn't want to give it a five because I know a lot of people will say you're exaggerating. But with the central grill being closed this is probably the best breakfast in the area now. I haven't tried lunch yet but I plan to soon. This trendy looking place inside one of the most gorgeous hotels in Glendale could be amazing, but it's obvious that it's not well managed. The menu items definitely have gourmet sprinkled all over them, but the food quality is definitely lacking. We got the burger which came with some delicious garlic fries, but the fries were soggy and the burger was overcooked even though we ordered it medium rare and the bun was dry. We also got the chopped salad, and it was void of flavor although the tomatoes were fresh. Our food took almost 30 minutes to come out even though the place was dead on a Wednesday morning. I have been coming here since they opened. In a small group of ladies, with just a friend, or with just my husband. Usually for lunch but recently my husband and I had dinner here. The spaghetti bolognese is the tastiest I've had in ages! I usually have a light bite breakfast there (the cran orange muffins are the best, oatmeal and berries is always great). Everything my friends have ordered were tasty and presented nicely. The light green velvet color scheme and lighting is so relaxing. The servers and staff are always polite. We come here often after a workout for some coffee and light breakfast (avocado toast) and their freshly made smoothies. Food is fresh and tasty with great prices and with lots of flavor. What throws off this place sometimes is the service is a hit or miss. I would suggest to teach the waitress how to make iced coffee....iced coffee arrived with no ice and when we asked where's the ice, her response was, "it melted on the way". Horrible experience coming here for lunch. Used to come here a lot, but seems like they had a lot of turnover and new personnel don't know how to operate a restaurant. Ordered a shakshuka, which is supposed to be their "specialty". The food comes out 30 minutes later and they literally forgot to include the most important ingredient, the eggs!!! They basically brought me tomato sauce with a little feta cheese sprinkled on top. Apparently the chef is "new and forgot to add the eggs". Came to this restaurant in the Glenmark hotel for an anniversary weekend down from the Bay Area (staying at the hotel). Breakfast here was outstanding. Middle eastern spices on the diced potatoes, excellent spice influences on the eggs Benedict. The bread they used was artisan then grilled and was perfect. I could not finish what they provided for their Bonvoy breakfast entree. The Yelp users leaving low reviews should re-examine the competition as they are way off base.
