I've came to this location growing up and decided to visit for the nostalgia. I absolutely adored my server Corrine, she was so incredibly kind. I came with someone who was lactose intolerant (maybe Olive Garden wouldn't be an ideal spot lol) but Corrine was so mindful and accommodating. She gave food suggestions and even separated certain foods without having to ask. Her kindness and attentiveness truly stuck out to me. Came here on a Tuesday which was our first in over 20yrs! Pretty packed with many large volume parties happening! Maybe because of the endless pasta starting at $14.99?! Loved the fried lasagna as an app and can never go wrong with the endless breadsticks and salad! I only remember the breadsticks being softer back in the day. Be mindful the salad contains black olives and pepperoncino so if you don't like that you might want to request omitted . Hubby got endless pasta which was rigatoni, meat sauce and added meatballs. I went with the shrimp and scallop Alfredo with broccoli added in. We had coupon for free app or dessert for signing up for their loyalty club like a week in advance. They will not send you it the same day so get ahead of the game. Don't waste on desserts as they max out at $10.49. Use it on an app which goes up to $15.49 and they honor. Waiter was awesome and told hubby get another order of endless whatever he preferred and he would pack it to go. He switched to chicken Alfredo and fettuccine. Ordered a watermelon sangria but it never came so he just deducted it and app coupon at end. So much food and plenty of leftovers for $54! Definitely would return! Had an overall excellent experience Saturday, after initially not having a server wait on us for several minutes, another server noticed and notified our waiter. After that, prompt and efficient service in serving our refillable soft drinks, which they kept on top of, bread sticks, salad and bottomless soups. In this visit I never had to seek out my server for my next bowl of soup. My husband's entree came out hot and fresh (on previous visit it had been sitting in the kitchen and came out dry and less hot). Our server Tristan was professional and accommodating as were other servers. Music was set at the right volume so that my husband and I could hear each other. Is it me? I ordered online, and two places where it gave me opportunity, I said, "Please no onions/scallions/chives - allergy." They lazily sent me a pre-made salad with onions on it, I was trying to prevent that because not to be picky, but then I can't eat it, it literally makes me sick. so I called them, I get passed along twice, and then a manager says to me that he's going to refund me half my order. Ok, I just wanted a salad that I could eat, but alright. Right??? Wrong. I was never refunded anything, nor did they just send me another salad like I would have preferred, so absolutely nothing was done to make good on it, just wasted my time in phone conversations and on hold. I realize things can get busy. I also realize that we are in an economy where people are struggling more and more and in all too many cases trying to work through the stress of not receiving livable wages. So I would have been fine getting past this had they one way or another made it right, but seriously, am I being so picky that I keep finding places that I don't feel inclined to go back to not so much because of the food but because of the service? Unavoidable human fact that for absolutely any business, you can never promise that nothing is going to go wrong, but you can promise that if and when it does, you respond professionally in resolving it as best and punctually as you can. The lack of follow-through on this, which I would have completely missed had I not checked back two mornings later to give it time, to me is good reason not to give them business again. I'm not looking for perfection in reliability, but I am looking for professionalism and accountability in it, and this experience most certainly wasn't it. Done. If I could give them zero stars I would. I love Olive Garden and never had any issues at other locations but I had an unfortunate experience at this one. I arrived with my partner table for two and was sat in an isolated corner completely away from any other guest and servers. We didn't think anything of it but then another group of people were sat near the other guests and were immediately served we waited over 15 minutes. Once we saw the newly arrived guests being serviced before us we instantly felt a sense of discrimination. UPDATE- 8/18/24 Opened in Orlando in 1982, this chain establishment became famous for its Italian American fare and "never-ending" breadsticks and soup or salad. Located off of Route 3 West in Secaucus, this was the closest Olive Garden in our area. My partner and I struck gold as some parking spaces closest to the entrance were available for lunch today on a Sunday around 1230pm. Upon entering, we were greeted by the staff and made it to a booth after a short 5-minute wait. Their menu mostly consisted of classic pasta dishes and more creative ones, plus soups, chicken dishes, and appetizers like calamari and toasted Ravioli. We decided on the Shrimp Scampi and Chicken Alfredo with broccoli. Each entrée came with breadsticks and opted for salad consisting of lettuce, onions, pepperoncini, and tomatoes with delicious Italian dressing. Everything was so fresh and tasty. The portions were huge, perfectly cooked, and we knew we'd be eating leftovers. The only difference was the size of the shrimp was much smaller than the previous visit. We even saved some room and got a slice of strawberry cream cake--a vanilla sponge layered with vanilla cream and topped with strawberries--to share. The meal remained surprisingly delicious and felt well worth the price, especially considering salad and breadsticks were included with our entrées. We continue to recommend this place. ------------- Some regard the Olive Garden as not authentic Italian food which is true. However where could one find an establishment that offers bottomless soup or salad with breadsticks. My parhave been to this location in Secaucus numerous times. Being a Friday night, joined their waitlist online and it worked to avoid the long wait upon arriving for dinner. Their menu has a large selection of dishes which some are good while others average as with most chain restaurants. Our servers were the tag team of Carlos and Kevin. Skipped the appetizers and went for our entrees consisting of Chicken Marsala Fettuccine (Chicken sautéed with spinach and mushrooms in a creamy marsala mushroom sauce served over fettuccine) and Shrimp Scampi (Shrimp sautéed in a homemade lemon-garlic butter sauce, tossed with fresh grape tomatoes and angel hair). With the entrees, we opted for the endless salad with parmesan cheese accompanied with garlic bread sticks. The food didn't take that long to come out which was tasty and nicely seasoned. We even left room with dessert and shared a Strawberry Cream Cake (Vanilla sponge cake layered with sweet vanilla cream and topped with fresh strawberries). I had a fantastic time at Olive Garden recently! I went with a friend and we both loved our meals. I had the chicken scampi, which was absolutely delicious, and my friend had the cheese ravioli, which looked amazing too. One of the best things about Olive Garden is how quick the service always is, and this time was no different. Plus, the portions are just right--plenty of food without feeling stuffed. Had the Shrimp Fritt Musto for Appy. It came with two sauces for dipping. The shrimp Was just right size for snacking and was cooked just right not dry at all. I chose The Tour of Italy dish and was presented with a Plate that had to have been sitting on a warmer for a Few minutes. My lasagna Was good, fettuccine Alfredo was a bit dry and the Chicken parm was rubbery. I had to leave that behind. We only went there because Mom likes the soup. While on vacation in New Jersey with my lovely wife, we decided it'd be fun to try some of the local cuisine! She offered to pay but let me choose where we went, so i just HAD to try this olive garden that my buddy Chris raved about when he went to NJ on business last year. He said, "it was alright." Now mind you, i was a little nervous about walking around new jersey at night. the misses had made one too many jokes about the mob on our flight here, to the point where they did not feel like jokes anymore. i was tossing and turning all night at the thought of a horse head showing up on my pillow or whatever the mob does to intimidate people. i figured i'd be fine, i've lost a hand and a few fingers before so i'm prepared for anything. i'd like to see the mob TRY and come after me. (i wouldn't. please don't.) Upon arriving to the olive garden, we were immediately seated and impressed by the interior of the restaurant and the cinematography of the food item photos on the menu. I showed my wife and said, "Wow!" she agreed. After an hour of looking at the menu, i decided on the calamari rings as an appetizer. They kind of tasted like hair ties, but the main course made up for it. My wife had shrimp scampi that she absolutely loved (She couldn't stop talking about it! After our meal she said "It was okay") and I ordered the tour of Italy, because i had never been to Italy and wanted the "tour"! My buddy chris was right to hype it up, because it truly was alright! Me and my husband came to Olive Garden on a Wednesday evening, it was obviously packed. We got a table quickly, it was a bit crusty, but nothing too bad. Service was a little slow at first but not too bad since most of the items came out at the same time. It does smell a little bit musty but it's something you'd expect from the local Olive Garden. Before I start I want to be clear about one thing: I am Italian. I cook Italian, well. I know real Italian food. This is to Italian food what Tex mex is to Mexican, what McDonald's is to burgers, what Kraft is to Mac and cheese. You go for what THEY make, not for gourmet like your mama makes Italian dinner. With that said, I go because the littles in my family don't know good from bad Italian, and they like the food (the breadsticks are a fan favorite and they have Coke Zero - yeah kids are that simple) but I personally LOVE the endless soup and salad. The salad dressing is tasty, and the salad is always crisp and fresh. The soup is generally delicious. Sometimes when they're at the bottom of the pot, they stretch it a bit so you have to tell them if it's overly thin, but I think I had that happen literally once out of 30 times, and they fixed it asap. And so ASAP is the reason for this bad review. We went Saturday night at 5. Okay I expected the dinner rush but not so much at 5. We sat. We got our drinks and ordered. I got my soup and salad when the rest got entrees. They brought the salad bowl for everyone, the soup apps that some ordered, and the other random apps they ordered. I said where's my soup? She said oh you want it now? I thought it was your meal. I guess I understood the confusion and while I didn't exactly say I wanted then to both come with the apps not later I guess also thought maybe she should have asked since she brought other people's soup? So okay. Maybe there was some legit confusion. So then I said you can bring my soup now then. But now was nowhere near now. I waited. They ate. They came back and picked up the app plates. I waited. Eventually they brought half the meals. But not my soup yet. And so I said we need more salad for me and don't forget my soup . Eventually my soup came with the rest of the entrees. It was watery. Almost no potatoes or sausage in the toscana. But I wasn't complaining because I was sure I'd never see it again. And afraid of that, when she finally came with the first bowl of soup I said to her can you please put another soup order in now because it's going to take that long I suppose. And of course it did. Worse actually. My whole family ate their meals - apps and dinner entree - before I got even a second bowl of soup or salad. You know why it's endless? Because you can't possibly eat more than one bowl of salad or soup unless you're there for 3 hours because they come to check if you want more every half hour and bring it out every half hour thereafter. Or maybe they mean the wait is endless because it is. I wanted more soup and salad but I didn't have the heart to make my family sit and watch me eat it. It's pathetic really. This NEVER happens at lunch time. That restaurant is a well oiled machine at lunch. The soup is hot and fresh and they are right there before you're done to see if you want more soup or salad. When we don't eat the breadsticks, they bring a bag to take them home. But the dinner experience.... TERRIBLE. Never again. I'll stick to lunch. read more

We never got breadsticks at any point in our meal even though we asked for them twice. We waited for twenty minutes after finishing our meal for someone to come over and offer to take our plates to ask him to bring us boxes and the dessert we ordered twenty mins ago. A lot of people talk a lot of smack about Olive Garden. "It's not italian food", yadda, but what about your experience? Because my experience here was an amazing one. Considering the facts I have mentioned, I have not been to an olive garden in many years, and here I was PLEASANTLY surprised! We were seated as a party of 4, almost immediately on a quiet saturday night. My mother in law started with a margarita, and they had also given her a shot of amaretto on the house. We started with the salad and the tuscany soup. To be honest, I wasn't a fan, and I think they could see that, so the waitress came back over to add cheese, and wow did it make a difference. My only complaint about the salad was that there wasn't enough, for our table, it was gone instantly. The bread however was a bit cold, and I did not enjoy it, kind of just left it on the side. Entree wise you'll have to bare with me as I do not remember what everyone had. My father in law had a lobster ravioli dish that was divine. Rich like lobster bisque, yet the ravioli sat in it perfectfly. The lobster was present, some scallop taste, the sauce was unbelievable. The same can be said for my wifes chicken marsala. I am not a marsala fan, but THIS wass something else. Most tend to focus on the marsala as a gravy or a sauce, here, they focused on maintaining the integrity of the chicken, giving it and the gravy a nice char taste all around. Now I had the whole tour of Italy - lasagna, alfredo, and a chicken parm, and it did not compare to how great the other meals were. This spot, this location, really did Olive Garden justice.
