Am new to the area and have been in search of the best pizza delivery int the area. I think I have found it with Olive Oil's. I ordered a large mushroom and sausage for delivery. They indicated I would have it within 30 minutes. The pizza arrives hot and on time. An A+ for the crust.... doughy and a bit chewy with nice flavor. Loved the pizza sauce.. a little on the sweet side ala Papa John's. Plenty of toppings, nice and tasty. My only complaint, albeit small, was that the pizza came with no packets of parmesan or red pepper flakes, but I did have some of that here at home. A sausage made a pizza a bit more greasy than I might have liked, but it was damn good even if a tad unhealthy. I like! Will get my next pizza from here for sure! read more

Having read some of the other reviews, I'm not sure we've all been to the same place. 1st off, I've had pizza from Olive Oil's 5 times, so this is not a review based on one visit. Each pizza has been fantastic. Honestly, I think this is some of the BEST pizza in town. I love their veggie special pizza! While I surely wouldn't say the prices are 'cheap'(for the special pizzas), you definitely get what you pay for. All the toppings are super fresh, and the cheese is really flavorful. I would recommend this place to anyone! **While writing this review, I got a craving for their pizza :) I ordered a medium with olives, artichokes, feta and sundried tomatoes. My company orders from here all the time and the only reason we keep coming back is because the food here is amazing. However, the customer service is crap. Whenever I place an order, I can't get through one item without getting asked "is that all for you?" or "anything else?" five times. I finally had to tell the guy I spoke to that I just needed to get through the rest of my order without getting interrupted. It was to the point where I was asking for Italian dressing and couldn't get but halfway through "Italian" without getting cut off. "Ital-" "Is that all for you?" "-ian dressing, please." Upon entering the establishment, I had the feeling I was interrupting something. The manager was berating one of the employees for a mistake made on a previous order - right in front of me, awkward much - and I had a feeling it was downhill from there. I brought a coupon for pizza I found at work, and upon presenting it, I received quite a bit of scrutiny. Maybe they deal with a lot of fakes? Shrug. Even though the pizza was reasonably priced with the coupon, it was underwhelming. The crust didn't seem fresh, mushrooms had a canned taste to them and the cheese was just too greasy with not much flavor to it. Sauce was also pretty bland. Vegans, beware! Olive Oil's has been our go-to pizza place: it's near by and delicious! We especially love their eggplant topping. Here's the problem - their sauce has Parmesan cheese in it. Today when I ordered our standard pizza - "hand tossed, red sauce, with eggplant, sun-dried tomatoes, and artichokes, hold the cheese, please," the man on the phone deadpans, "our sauce has cheese in it." I'm not sure how we found Olive Oil's Pizza, I think it must have been with something in the Val-pak or something similar. They had a one topping special for students and my wife was still in school. A large for $6.99 and that would feed us two and still have some left over, not bad. So we tried it and we liked it. A lot. It usually comes with a hand-tossed crust and it's a good chewy crust. We haven't tried the thin or the "Thick n' Chewy" yet, perhaps next time. It offers a good vehicle for the toppings and a good filler for satisfying your hunger. Just recently, the wife got the Hawaiian pizza and she rates it as average. She loves pineapple on her pizza so she almost always gets some variety of it when we get pizza. I got the Meat Monster which is just a meat lover's pizza. Some of the bacon and ground beef was a little crispy from being baked too long, but overall it was good. The pizza box was pretty greasy from all the oils that came off the pizza so if you have gastric issues, I'd probably stray away from it. In the past, we've gotten eggplant as our topping and surprisingly, it's a tasty pizza topping. I'd probably would have gotten it this time, but we got specialty pizzas with a BOGO coupon from the passbook. This place looks like a front for the mob. The guy that answers the phone is somewhat unintelligible, so be prepared with your universal translator when you call. They do have delivery, if you're automobile challenged. Also, don't judge them based on their website. It looks like something from Tripod or AOL in 1998. I guess they keep overhead costs down and pass the savings on to you. I would choose Olive Oil's over any of the chain pizza places if I had a choice. Definitely a great bang for your buck, that's why it's getting 4 stars. read more

Relatively inexpensive. If you're looking for a classic American style pie (hand tossed, loaded with pasteurized cheese): This is as good as it gets. The cheesy is stretchy/gooey. The sausage tastes like sausage should taste. The "Combo" (aka Supreme) is perfect. Wouldn't change a thing. It's not Neapolitan. Go to "Dough" for that. They're amazing at what they do. But you'll walk out with your wallet $100 lighter there, and the pizza is so different in style it's like comparing a sub sandwich to Bánh mì. No point in that. So compare this place to Dominos', Pizza Hut, Little Ceasars, or your other neighborhood pizza spot. By that standard Olive Oil's comes out on top by a wide margin IMO. Fresher. More flavorful. I just finished eating a slice of pizza from Olive Oil's and my hand is kind of greasy. That's because I just ate PIZZA. With extra cheese. Which tends to be greasy. I don't particularly see the grease factor of pizza to be a bad thing. We like Olive Oil's. The calzone is badass. We had the meatball calzone tonight; last time, it was the 3-topping. If I had it to do over again, I'd get the 3-topping, but meatballs would be one of those toppings. The Man says it is the best calzone he's ever ordered from anywhere. I haven't ordered many calzones, but this one is GOOD! The accompanying marinara was cold, which struck me as odd, but didn't factor into my opinion of the restaurant. The pizzas are as good as I've had in this price range. I mean, I've eaten a $30 pizza that felt like it weighed 15 pounds, and it was amazing. Olive Oil's doesn't serve a $30 pizza. They serve $6-10 pizzas, and I haven't had a better $6-10 pizza anywhere. They deliver in a reasonable time frame. The price is great for what you get and they have some interesting combinations. i've picked up a couple of times and the staff was always very nice. We are always quoted 45-1 hour wait, but we get it in about 25. You know why? We tip well. These people bust their humps to get it to us quickly, and the order is never wrong. They have a website for their 5 or 6 locations. Two of which are in a DFW. However, when you ask to order one of the "specials", pizza that is on special. They say these are not valid for their store. Seems like a bait a switch. If your website lists a price you should honor it. I had to push the manager 3 times before he would honor it. Nobody likes to feel they are getting ripped off. If you had hundreds of locations I kind of get it. But with only 5 or 6 locations all stores need to be on board with what the website says. Tired of eating fast food burgers on my lunch break, I decided to drive down W. Campbell in search of something different. I saw the pizza sign from the road and whipped into the parking lot. It's a very small entrance, and you order at the counter. I was surprised at the large menu. The small pepperoni pizza didn't take long at all. It was hot, fresh, cheesy, and somewhat greasy. After moving to the area, we needed to find a new pizza delivery place. I looked online and was impressed with the menu selection. Not just traditional toppings, but interesting combinations. The first time we got a 14" New Orleans Style Mufaletta and a Caesar Salad delivered. When we go the pizza (which was quick!) All the cheese and toppings had slid to one side and the box was soaked! Gross! I was able to redistribute the cheese and toppings since the pizza was still hot and soaked up the liquid (I think from the olive mix) After all that the pizza was really good and the crust really held up to all that liquid! We had the Caesar Salad along with the salvaged pizza and it was just ok. Very plain. The 2nd time we ordered pizza I wanted to try a few and we weren't very hungry so I ordered a small Chicken and Pesto and a Small New Orleans Style Mufaletta. The Chicken Pesto was not that good. Kinda bland:-/ The Mufaletta was better than the first time. Still juicy, but the box didn't come soaked in olive juice! Overall I think it is a good pizza. It is worth trying the Mufaletta. I will try other combos in the future. I urge them to get better pizza boxes for anything over 12 in pizzas! The specialty pizzas are too heavy for the flimsy boxes they use now. Also, make sure you tell them to drain the toppings unless you either enjoy a juicy pizza or you like to use 5 paper towels to soak the juice off your pizza. read more

Such a nice place! I like the workers, who are kind. The cheesy bread is greasy (but the name does start with "Oil" so that's okay) but not too expensive and tasted very good. I do have IBD so sometimes I worry of eating pizza, but I did not feel as bad as I usually do after eating most pizzas. Seemed clean enough too. Also, they deliver which is a added perk. I am totally shocked that the rating on this establishment is 1 star! This place is the bomb. If you're from California, you're used to great pizza. I don't play that NY pizza shit. I like that California Fat Slice. The incredibly unique and delicious mom and pop pizza joints. Like chicken pesto, drag it thru the garden, and mediterranean pizzas. So check it out. On Tuesdays, it's 2 for 1. So you pay 25 bucks and get two large gourmet pizzas. We got half chicken garlic and half shrimp garlic, and the other was a breakfast pizza. The toppings are super generous. Baked garlic is topped all OVER the pizza. And breakfast pizza is full of that American breakfast love... bacon, sausage, and eggs! I ordered the chicken and shrimp Alfredo for lunch today and had it delivered to my job. The pasta was pretty good and came with a side salad. The pasta was very hot when it arrived which was a plus. About 3hrs later I go for the salad and noticed the onion had mold on it... and not just a little mold. I called the restaurant immediately upon seeing it. The guy that answered the phone was very helpful and apologetic. But then, if I'm not mistaken another guy got on the line after I told them I placed my order 3hrs prior. He proceeded to ask me WHY did I wait 3hrs to call instead of calling right away. He went on to say, "surely you're not just now seeing the salad." Which actually I was, but should be beside the point. The man told me he could have fixed it had I called earlier but now that it's 3hrs later (food was delivered around 3:30 and I called to report the mold at 6:20ish), there is no way for him to fix it. I asked him if he thought I called them to lie about receiving a molded side salad. His response was, "Yeah...I mean I don't know". He made me feel like it was my fault that I received a molded salad or he thought I was lying. I told him to not worry about it and to keep his "extra side salad on next purchase" because I don't appreciate his tone OR lack of customer service. I have heard about the original Olive Oil's in Garland and it seems to garner some rave reviews, but this one in Richardson certainly does not. My first bad experience came when my roommates ordered 2 gourmet pizzas last October; the total came out to be $25 and some change. The pizza was average, at best, and there isn't much to love. I will give them credit in that the cheese is not overly greasy and the crust is decent here and there, but it's hardly memorable. On to what pissed me off the most, the night of, I noticed coupons [that I did not see before ordering] they sent to our apartment and they had a deal of 2 gourmet pizzas for $19.99; the employee did not even mention this and try to save me money, but just kept it to themselves to swindle me. Sure, it is a few bucks, but I am student and any money to save is helpful. I really wanted to call them to get my money back, but decided to let it pass. It doesn't stop there. My roommates and I ordered 2 gourmet pizzas again last night because I received a "Buy ANY small, medium, large pizza, get one free" deal from them; I thought it was a good deal to catch in on, so I called to order and I could hear the employee asking the boss or manager if I could redeem it on the pizzas. She said the manager was giving us another deal on the gourmet pizzas [ironically, the one I initially got gypped for], but I mentioned that the BOGO deal would be a better deal anyway and she said we could not redeem it because it was for a large, 5-topping and the gourmet ones contained more than that, despite me reiterating what the coupon said. I was perturbed, but just accepted...until I let my roommates know and we decided to call back to reiterate that the deal said ANY s/m/l pizza. Another male employee spoke to us and changed the total to 15 CENTS...that's right, 15 cents and we clarified 3 times if that was what he said. We thought it was silly, yet pathetic, but agreed, plus the order was carry-out only. We thought...for 15 cents...why not? When we arrived, the female employee said the total was $15.10 and we were confused, but were just tired of the "service" [more like mess] we were dealing with. As we left, all of us said we were definitely never going to come back. It seems like Olive Oil's does not have their customers' best interests and tries to get that extra dollar they can get, even when they are supposedly offering deals for people. If you do still decide to go with them, make sure you are getting the best deal and do not let them swindle you. Regardless, the pizza isn't good and I would recommend the chain, Red Brick Pizza, over this any day. read more

The shrimp alfredo is kind of bland and the shrimp was just ok, but it was a nice surprise that the meals came with really delicious bread and salad. I've been here probably 20 times in the last 3 years. About 1/2 the time they are a 5 and the greatest pizza I've had south of the Mason Dixon line. The other 1/2 of the time they are worse than a chain pizza place on a bad day. Case in point the spinach gourmet. I ordered it about a month ago and it was wonderful perfect 5 and everything I could want in a pizza. I ordered it yesterday and it was mostly inedible. The crust was raw in places, and yet the spinach was somehow burnt. There is no quality control here so it is really just luck of the draw. Olive Oils is just a little hole in the wall but it actually does have good food at really good prices. I like their pizza (I refuse to eat at chains like Dominoes, Pizza Hut or Papa Johns), their sausage is good and they have one called the Bianca Special that has mozzarella, meatballs and tomatoes with alfredo instead of marinara sauce and it is really good.
