Doly's Delectables is a must-visit if you're in Long Beach! I started with the avocado toast, which was seasoned to perfection! They're known for their croissants, and it's easy to see why: buttery, flaky, and absolutely delicious. The real highlight, though, was catching them on a day they made fresh cinnamon rolls. Warm, soft, and with the loveliest hint of lemon woven through the flavor. Honestly one of the best cinnamon rolls I've had. Can't wait to go back and try more of the menu!

Been wanting to try this precious little gem. Bought a breakfast burrito and it was so good. At 12 noon they have what they call "happy hour" for the pastries ! I'm in love with the architecture/vibes! The sunroom affect and of course an older building! Service.... So welcoming and friendly!

    Matcha Latte

I came around lunch time to get a matcha latte that was priced reasonably. I got it the regular way with whole milk and two stevia. This was the worst matcha latte I have ever had. As you can see in the picture the matcha is not mixed well and for $5.25 it is not worth it. Even if you try and mix it doesn't work. The employees were not that friendly, they make you feel rushed. The inside is clean. I will probably not be back.

Just what I needed on a Wednesday morning. I finally got to try this place out while on a long walk w my doggos. Staff was so sweet to my rambunctiously vocal pups. I was craving a simple, delicious and filling breakfast sandwich and that's exactly what I got. I ordered the breakfast sandwich w no ham (I don't eat meat) and subbed tomatoes, on a croissant. It was perfect. The coffee looked good too. I'll def come back for another sando and I'll try a tea and or a matcha next time.

I decided it's about time that I finally visit DoLy's Delectables, and I'm so glad that I did! Pain au chocolat is one of my favorite breakfast pastries, and so I happily obliged in trying one at DoLy's. It is now one of my favorite pain au chocolat in Long Beach! The buttery, flakey layers are absolutely and insanely delicious. Well done! This is the type of pastry that dreams are made of. I'll come back to try the croissant and cinnamon twist!

I had no idea that this was here, until my wife forwarded me a recent article in the Long Beach Post about DoLy's celebrating 15 years. Stopped in during a morning walk, picking up some of my favorite pastries/desserts. They were good, worth including in our rotation of pastry/donut shops in Long Beach. A portmanteau of the husband/wife owner's last names, DoLy's Delectables is located in downtown Long Beach, on the first floor of an office building. The inside is surprisingly large, with uncramped seating. They serve a variety of hot and cold caffeinated beverages, allowing a leisurely coffee house atmosphere. Someone offered to help right away, letting me take my time. I did find what I was looking for (almond croissant for $5.75), and added a couple of other things on a whim: Chocolate Almond Croissant ($5.75) and mini single serving creme brulee ($3.50), torched when you order. Brought everything home, and took sample bites to confirm that they were as good as they looked. Mission accomplished! Also learned that during the last hour of being open (noon to 1 pm, M-Sa), all remaining pastries are 50% off. That would turn them into a great deal.

I was in the area for a convention, and was looking for a quick breakfast before heading over to the convention center. We found this location through a quick maps search and saw it was on the way so we decided to try out their food and coffee. It's a fairly small space with no frills, but there was plenty of seating inside, and it seems like most just take their orders to go anyways. The staff friendly enough, and aside from slightly slower service, I didn't find anything wrong with my experience. They have a decent case of baked goods, as well as breakfast sandwich options. While nothing was out of this world, their food was solid and a great value for the price! Their coffee wasn't anything special to me, but they had a few milk options and syrups for their lattes and it got the job done. I think that if you're looking for a quick, no fuss option for coffee and breakfast this would be a great spot. I noticed that they had many regulars, and if I lived in the area I would probably be one too. It's a great local spot, and if you're just looking for a decent start to your morning you can't really go wrong here.

Definitely more of a pastry spot than a coffee one. I wouldn't go back for the coffee since the cold brew tasted off, but the pastries looked great and there were plenty of options. They do 50% off near closing, which is the best time to visit. Staff were very friendly, and it's a nice place to stop by for a light snack. Service: Very friendly and welcoming Food: Great pastry selection, coffee needs improvement, 50% off near closing is a plus Ambiance: Cozy and casual, perfect for a quick visit 7/10 Go for the pastries and deals, skip the coffee

This is a small bakery cafe' I accidentally discovered in downtown Long Beach. It is located on Broadway, near the Promenade. They have half dozen tables to sit at, almost of the business I observed was takeout. They do have a steady clientele coming into the shop. We had coffee and elected to stay to visit a bit. The coffee is pretty ordinary...nothing special. The assortment of baked goods looks tempting. They seem to specialize in French Macrons. Parking is metered on the street. $1.50 p/hr. The lady who appears to be the owner was very nice.

Great people ! The owners are very nice and know you by name if you go there long enough Happy hour is from 12-1 half off their amazing pastries ,only thing is they sell out super fast I come here at least once a week if not everyday ! Try their homemade cookies ! Always fresh !

The pineapple added to what's basically a Cuban style sandwich sounds different at first, but it works perfectly. The balance of sweet, savory, crispy, and smoky was spot on. Everything tasted super fresh and the bread held everything together perfectly without getting soggy. My original plan was to eat half and save the rest for later... yeah, that didn't happen. Ended up finishing the whole thing because it was that good. Service was friendly, food came out quick, and the whole spot had a really chill local vibe. Definitely a hidden gem if you're in the area. Highly recommend this place and I'll for sure be back to try more off the menu.

We ordered a couple chopped cheeses, fries, onion rings, and chicken nuggets for the little one. Everything was delicious. The crispiness of all the fries foods were spot on. I've been wanting to try NYC Chop Cheese since they opened. Unfortunately, this first visit was…read morerough enough to make curiosity feel like a mistake. I got the 10-inch chopped cheese combo. The sandwich had a few positives: good amount of beef, tender meat, cheese melted in well and the bread was genuinely great. Soft, chewy, flavorful and easily the best thing here. Everything after that started falling apart. The sandwich was rich and oily but didn't have enough seasoning, acidity or heat to balance it. There were faint hints of cumin and the salt level was fine, but overall it tasted like it was trying to coast on grease. The lettuce and tomato added nothing, and even the cilantro sauce couldn't cut through the oily aftertaste. If you do try it, add onions, pickles and jalapeños because the base sandwich badly needs backup. The fries looked good, then delivered absolutely nothing. Barely seasoned, smaller portion than expected and somehow had a weird burnt aftertaste despite looking normal. That takes effort. Service was the real disaster. The person helping me acted annoyed, like customers were an unfortunate side effect of running a restaurant. The menu board shows combo pricing for some items, like burgers, but not sandwiches, so the chopped cheese combo pricing was unclear. The drink situation was ridiculous. The board says $2.99 for a 24 oz drink and the soda machine was right there, but I was handed a 12 oz can with no heads-up that the machine wasn't available. That's not a substitute. Full size promise for a half-size reality. For $22.03 total, that made the whole combo feel even worse value-wise. Food took almost 30 minutes and it felt like my order sat around until it was convenient to bag it. I only got it when another customer who ordered after me was being helped. Add the flies hanging around the napkins and surfaces and this started feeling less like lunch and more like a health inspection waiting to happen. Parking is rough too since it's on a narrow, busy intersection, though there is paid parking across the street. Overall, the bread was great and the sandwich had potential, but potential doesn't carry bad service, bland fries, unclear pricing, a drink downgrade, a long wait and flies. If the food was amazing, maybe some of this could be overlooked. Nah, too many atrocities happening.

I give it 1 star for the nice owners and family. I give it 1 star for sitting outside on a nice day and enjoying the outside vibe. I give it 1 star for average food. The menu however, has major issues. The bread they use for the garlic bread, the pesto bread, and the pastrami sandwich doesn't hold up. The white part of the bread gets mushy and has a bad texture. That's the case for all hot sandwiches and garlic breads. I recently ordered the chicken parm, and the chicken was cut into small pieces and was burnt. I like my meat cut up in rice dishes such as paella and jambalaya, but cut up chicken parm seems low class and it wasn't great. I also recently ordered the Italian sub. It's a shame you have to pay extra for cheese. IMO, an Italian sub should have both Provolone and Mozzarella cheese. Their sandwich comes with no cheese and is an extra charge. Bummer. Also, they have a variety of Italian-style sandwiches, but none of them have the classic salami, mortadella, and capicola combination which is the authentic combination from my experience. To top it off, the Italian Sub doesn't have red onion or black olives. Meh. There are more menu issues. In the end, there's nothing I find above average. I don't discourage you from going if you're in the mood for a nice Italian meal on the sidewalk outside in nice weather, but there is literally nothing I've found on their large menu that is above average. The menu is flawed in too many ways. At least the family owners seem to be very nice and that goes a long way in deciding who to give my hard earned money to.
