Most delicious pizza, light crispy perfect balance of ingredients! White pie with its sesame crust is THE BEST! Great Caesar salad, and the Ollie's salad is great too. Cocktails are excellent and the service (sweet young people) is also excellent! Inside is a pretty special environment and we love going for lunch on Fridays before the weekend crowd gets bananas. Perfectly conceived pizza restaurant. Limited menu with great options. I love the size of their pizzas. I prefer a pizza dough with a more classic Neapolitan style. I'll go back, 9 out of 10. Best feature of this pizza is the charred crust. Second best feature--well-seasoned tomato sauce. Cashier was not sure how to take vegan cheese off of my order. I requested a vegan pie with lots of vegetables, mushrooms, peppers, and basil. What I ended up with was a very saucy tomato pie. Vegetables were sparse. Peppers were on only 2 slices. This is one of the saddest drop-offs of a restaurant ever. Used to come here almost monthly during the pandemic years, for great food and great service, and I am sad to say that it is now become one of the most poorly-run restaurants I've ever experienced. The last three visits (yes three - really wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt) have been absolutely appalling, with bad food, terrible service and in a horrible environment. Within the past three visits, we have experienced: - staff members combatively argue with me in front of other customers about them giving me an incorrect order (they gave me an entirely wrong pizza from what I ordered with ingredients I am allergic to and would never order, and then tried to defend that it was correct?) - screaming children physically antagonizing my dogs despite pleas with their parents and staff to please leave us alone (parents and staff did nothing) - a completely naked unsupervised child (yes, REALLY) trying to take food off our plates from our table as we ate dinner - the restaurant running out of pizza at 6pm on a Friday night, after our order was already placed - we only found out when someone eventually came to our table, took our table number, and then WE had to initiate/ask for a refund for the food we never got. - asking a parent to please not have their child screaming and running circles around our table/hitting us with their toys, and being met with a drunken rant about how they "don't have to do anything about it; the restaurant says it's okay". I am sad to say I will absolutely never go to or recommend Ollie's again. The way they treat their customers is inexcusable. If you want to see parents who have clearly given up on parenting in public spaces or what complete self-destruction looks like, stop by and see it for yourself. read more

Costly for pizza but worth it! Charming ambiance and exotic pizzas plus the usual --all made perfectly. I love teh marble bar and the cozy booths inside and the umbrella tables are nice for outside dining. Convenient to terrific bookstore across the street and for strolls down to the creek. read more

We are moving from Texas back to NY/CT area. We are staying at our son's cottage and are so glad we tried Ollie's pizza. We have missed NY style pizza. It was a beautiful evening for sitting outside and enjoying a glass of wine and our pizza. We will return! read more

The pizza is good here I got a margarita pizza with sausage to go. It's a few dollars more than other places but definitely very fresh and good. Unfortunately they're still not open for indoor dining. The space is large enough to accommodate the 50% limit right now. But I called and they said "It's just a decision they made not to have indoor dining right now" so if you don't want to sit outside even though they have heaters in the outdoor dining area. However with Benny's pizza they are open on the indoor portion of their pizzeria and that is a smaller area then Ollies. Maybe when the weather is warm enough I'll try eating in the outside area. But I would not come back more frequently until I could eat inside. read more

I'm going to preface this review by saying I have no problem whatsoever spending money going out to eat or getting takeout, if it's good and if you get what you pay for. I realize this is a newer establishment so maybe they're still settling in, but based on our experience tonight I wouldn't rush back. We ordered a margarita pizza, a grandma pizza and a Summer Salad. We would have gotten toppings on the pizza but they were out of most, including sausage and pepperoni. When I got there to pick it up and pay, the girl asked me if I wanted to leave a tip. I wasn't quite sure why as all she did was collect my payment. I asked her what the 3% COVID surcharge was for and she said they aren't servers and don't get tips so maybe that's what it's for. She said she'd ask but she never got back to me on that. Oh well. Moving on...when we got home, the pizza was cold (the house is less than 10 minutes away). We honestly could not believe what we just paid over $55 for. There was hardly any cheese on either of the pizzas! The grandma pie slices only had cheese on half the slice. I'm not being sarcastic but maybe they were running out of cheese as well. And the $10 Summer Salad was lettuce, 3 radish slices, and about 2 cherry tomatoes cut in half. Totally unimpressed. I'm sure they will do good with people passing through town as there is a nice outdoor seating area (can't comment on the inside as I didn't go in), but don't know that they'll retain a customer base of the locals. I'm reluctant to go for pizza outside NYC, but we got a tip on this place from a Brooklyn expat who'd moved to the Kingston area. What a great tip! Ollie's is the real deal. Very well crafted crust, with good texture and airiness and flavor (I'm guessing they use natural leavening ... there's a bit of sour tang along with the sweetness of the dough). Toppings were all good (we got wood-fired Margherita pies with a couple of other things thrown on for fun). It little more char than I prefer, but others will disagree. Well, I thought this place looked nice. We brought a few families with a bunch of kids. We dropped a bunch of money on food and drinks between the families. The wait staff got very angry at us because we had split the group up between two tables with the kids at their own table. They weren't causing trouble, and had eaten most of their full price meal, when suddenly the waitress asked that we move everyone to one table. There were 8 people ( two families). I politely said there were too many of us and that we were almost finished and would be leaving. She returned a few minutes later and rudely insisted that having kids at a table by themselves was a problem. I had to ask my son to stop eating so we could leave. Had the grandma, margarita with pepperoni, and a summer salad (house salad with garden fresh ingredient). All were good... unfortunately not worth the money. Literally when I was waiting for my pickup, the people ahead of me were questioning how their bill for a pizza night out were so much more than what they were expecting. Also not sure what a 3% Covid surcharge is?! I dont think I was charged that, or if it was a joke? But a 3% Covid charge on the menu board. Seriously? (If it wasn't a joke). Dont get me wrong, very good pizza comparable to when we had Grimaldi's up here. Definitely a step up, but not worth the premium. I truly do not mind paying for great food and/or experience. If you want to overpay for food but feel great doing it, try Hotel Kinsley in uptown Kingston. It'll be about $100 -200 a person but man your pallet will thank you. I hope Ollie's survives up here. I accidentally stumbled upon this adorable place on our way back from hiking and I'm so glad we did. The minute we pulled up I fell in love with the set up they had outside. Bright yellow umbrellas , a ton of spaces out tables , dog friendly and a decent sized menu! It would be a great place to hang out, eat/drink, and listen to music on a nice day ! We ordered the Arnold Palmer spiked and a regular and they were refreshing. Downside was they didn't have Tito's but maybe they ran out. We shared a margarita pizza and it was so so good. Dough was crispy but doughy. Sauce had a lot of flavor and just enough cheese. Bathroom was extremely clean and parking was easy. I would definitely recommend ! read more

Pizza is my all time favorite food, and when I came for a visit to upstate NY my friends took me to Ollie's. I loved everything about it - the pizza was piping hot, the crust was perfectly crunchy and soft, the ingredients were high quality and fresh, and tasted amazing - especially the white pizza with the touch of sesame seeds, and the margarita. Best of all, I felt surprisingly great (and light) after eating it, rather than full and heavy. We sat outdoors in the beautiful garden, and it felt like one of those perfect summer evenings surrounded by great people in a beautifully and tastefully designed space, with a great ambience - a warm family vibe. The service was also excellent, with servers who were warm and friendly, and seemed that they genuinely love working there. During my week-long visit I ate there twice, and now that I'm back home I'm dreaming about eating there again!! read more

Was super excited to try this place as we just moved to Rosendale in the spring but hadn't felt comfortable dining out. Wound up coming on a less busy afternoon & did their postcards for pizza event - encouraging folks to vote in swing states & states with low voter turnout. The good: owners seem really nice, flavors are nice (tasty sauce lots of garlic), great outdoor seating, and employees and patrons are all really good about masks. I also like the fact that the menu is simple and limited. Needs improvement: ordered a $24 grandma pizza which was WAY thinner and smaller than it should have been for that price with not much cheese either. Sadly, it was also totally burnt and half inedible. If I hadn't been so starving I would have sent it back. The 14 inch pizzas are also burned and overpriced. The Pizza Is Great. Yes, it is pricey. But it is very very good. We got a white pie with a side of broccoli rabe. We were full and happy. They have Boices Ice Cream Sandwiches.
