High priced pit stop, next door to Leodora's. We came by hoping to find more selections of "made in Maui" kinds of things but aside from the jams and jellies and usual Hawaiian coffee, everything else was pretty much what you'd find in a Hawaiian 7-11. This is the kind of store where you'd stop by if you were camping or beaching in the area and needed something like some snacks or fishing supplies you wouldn't hesitate to stop in. They have some cooking foods like bento boxes but I'm not sure if they're any good. Traffics on the main road can be tricky so be patient. read more

Not sure if the smoothie stand is associated with the general store but they had the same name. Avoid avoid avoid!!! Got three different kinds of smoothies and they all tasted like rotten fruits. $15 into the trash and very disappointed kids. read more

Got breakfast here 2 times during my week stay in Maui. Very inexpensive by Maui's standards and very satisfying. This feels about as "local" as you can feel. I regularly saw locals buy food here. The workers were pleasant and helpful. Exiting the parking lot is a little tricky and kinda dangerous with cars speeding around the curve where the store is located. read more

Amazing for snacks, drinks, etc. The guy working the Shave Ice counter on weekends (Tristan?) is absolutely hilarious and makes the best shave ice on the island. Best Spam Musubi on the island. Oh, and in case you missed the sign next to the cash register they have pulled pork sandwiches at an awesome price. Which are also amazing. We were staying in a Tentalow across the way at Camp Olowalu and I'm so glad we were because it pretty much forced me to try things here and I'm so glad we did. OH. AND THE CHICHARONES. They recently hired a Mexican chef and changed the menu from local food to Mexican food, and it's so good!! We've been trying all the Mexican places on island, and coming originally from southern California, we never did find an authentic place. Until now. Basically a large fruit stand off the road. Fresh off the tree cocunuts, pineapples, sugar cane, plus other Hawaiian fruits. Delicious!

The store is a great place for some local mixed plates and outstanding spam masubi. It's a family owned business with a really friendly aloha. My boys loves their inexpensive mixed plate. When we are in a Maui we make it a point to always stop by their store for some really quick and delicious eats. Word has it that the land owner behind the store is trying to get the area rezoned for development that could affect this store. The land owner doesn't own the land where this store sits but is trying to rezone the area to put this store out of business. Hope this doesn't happens as this store is what Maui is all about. read more

Shave ice is good depending who makes it. Most of mine ended up on the ground. Stop by for the lunch plates. Oh so good. We had a pork and chicken combo that was over-the-top tasty. Only downfall is that they serve their food in styrofoam covered with Saran Wrap. Would be 4 stars if they veered away from the styrofoam. read more

Shaved ice was the best. Got the passion fruit, guava, mango flavor and the POG flavor. The guy was super nice and allowed me to have both. Hubby got the guys favorite (can't remember what it was) but just ask the dude. It was really good but didn't get a chance to fully enjoy it bc most of the shaved ice fell off on the table (accidently tilted the cup :/). Also their masubi was awesome got the regular and jalapeño. The terayki was good but a little sweet. Sorta tasted like Chinese sausage. read more

2 stars for the ice cream. 0 stars for store worker named "Geraldi" the shorter women working the ice cream section was very rude and said profanities to both my husband and I when we showed her the Yelp free ice cream check in offer. We purchased souvenirs from the store and asked her why she was so angry. She yelled at us and we replied that she was being rude. Still got our free ice cream though, thanks! Maybe Geraldi needs a new job where she can be happier or just a vacation. Or maybe just buy her a drink.... She REALLY needs it. Aloha! read more

Terrible shave ice, terrible attitude, terrible experience. The young man making the shave ice was surly and downright rude. Made us feel like we were bothering him that we wanted shave ice! And it was BAD shave ice. Flavors were off and seemed almost watered down. He jabbed a spoon in each one and handed them to us without a straw. Didn't want to ask if they had any since he had just spoken to my daughter in a mocking tone when he asking what flavors she wanted. Honestly most of my shave ice fell on the ground and it was so bad, I threw the rest away. Shave ice is supposed to be fun! I've had more fun dealing with folks at the DMV. read more

Hands down the best shaved ice ever that I experience in Maui, every bite was full of flavor. They really know how to prep their shaved ice like a pro, even better then matsumoto in Oahu. Make sure you add the snow cap you will be amaze how its fully covered to perfection. I still remember my first experience and glad I randomly stopped by, took my first bite and said OMG its so fluffy and perfect! No ice chunks and perfect amount of flavor every bite. I am giving this convenience store for the beach crowd 5 stars because of the amazing shaved ice. Tristan--our "shavista" was so much fun and eagerly tried to pile the biggest amount of shaved ice in our bowls. A lot of the flavors I'd never seen before elsewhere and you were allowed to choose up to five. The mango ice cream has actual bits of mango fruit in it--delicious! The pies they make here are excellent! The items in the store were obviously catering to the beach crowd but the locals definitely love this place. I've been to Maui 3 times now and have often passed this place and today we decided to try it. I think it has the best Hawaiian shaved ice on the island! read more
