Secret Gem, this place is! It's on the upper level of a newer shopping plaza in Buena Park. Unfortunately this shopping plaza is under utilized, many of the stores are vacant. The upside is that not too many people know that Olympic Golf Zone is here so there's ample parking and you can always get a good seat. The ambience in here is really cool; part Vegas sports bar, part virtual sports. The gold bag chairs are a fun touch. We've come on several occasions. To meet friends for a few drinks and appetizers - the beer (specifically bud light) is not cold and taste like it's been sitting there for a while. Our waiter actually told us not to order it. Have had the flavored sakes and those are good. Old fashion was decent. We also had my sons 13th bday here. Rented both batting cages for 1.5 hours. The staff was very attentive. Kept the appetizers and sodas flowing. Everyone had a good time and the space is large enough to accommodate big parties. Golf night - mixed party of adults and kids. They have several different games to choose from. Love that all the equipment is provided for you. The kids and adults had a great time with it. Pricing is great for food and drinks. Glassware needs additional attention when being used to serve drinks in. 3 out of 7 glasses we received were dirty. Service: decent for a slow Monday, friendly female server/bartender. The male person who checked us in and set-up our golf simulators could benefit from customer service training and communication. Yelp advertises $20 off golf (mon-thurs), the gentlemen at the front advised it was only for "during the day", we arrived at 6pm. What constitutes "day" time, and why doesn't yelp reflect that? Ambiance: great concept, golf simulator, batting cages, beer pong tables, pool tables. Modern decor. Comfortable furniture. Great golf bag designed stools. The concept behind Olympic golf zone is great, and with minor upgrades and slight tweaks, this place could be a great place to go to in Orange County. However, the execution is poor. If they rushed to open the place, then understandable as to the outcome. OGZ would also benefit from adding directional signage throughout The Source. read more

Stephanie was super nice for customers service until the end and all other staffs are super helpful. Prices reasonable and foods were great. It was like an adult playground here at the Olympic Golf Zone. Granted there were only virtual golf and batting cages but they also had TVs at the bar area and offered decent food and libations for that adult hang out during the weekend. Bring the kids if you want! The littler ones will require supervision since the golf arenas and batting cages can get a bit dangerous. Virtual golf is $50/hr and the batting cages are $60/hour. Unlimited players, I believe. They currently have a 10% off deal via Yelp and our group got $20 off our tab :) I agree with other reviews that they do not offer "healthy" foods but what do you expect from a barlike environment. We had the garlic butter fries, orange chicken, sweet and sour wings, garlic shrimp, nachos, and fried calamari. Of the dishes I tried, the calamari itself was very underseasoned and the shrimp/wings were the most flavorful. Wings were a sticky mess though! read more

I wanted to and still want to like this place. We had our fantasy baseball draft here on 3/30/22. We rented the baseball machine for 3.5 hours. The service was almost non existent (for about an hour, we were the only people in the place) and yet couldn't get service. The food was good but the staff really put a damper on the whole experience, and seemed out off when we ordered more booze and/or food. We really felt like we were not wanted, it was extremely odd. As for the sports bar, we went when there was a dodger spring training and at least 10 basketball games on the schedule and there was one game on the screens and the rest were videos of BTS..... It surprised me how Andrea handled the situation so professionally even though the ladies in the room were being utterly rude to her . The Place was very hidden but it's a good place to hang out with all your friends! The menu was very simple but I feel like a place like this is mainly for appetizers & drinks only. The staff was very friendly and were attentive. It wasn't busy when we had got here but it had a good vibe inside with groups actually playing golf so you were able to watch nearby or check out what's on from the LED TVs they had inside as well. But I had to give it a star-less because my drink didn't look like the one I ordered from the menu and I like a good presentation of what I asked for. My mom and her friends were there last night (1/5/23). This morning I wake up to messages from my mom (she communicated thru her Apple Watch) that she had left her phone at this location. We check her location and it said it was still there. I went with her to pick it up and she had told me she had left her purse there as well. When we get there we get her phone but they said her purse wasn't there so we left them our info and they said they'll let is know if they find it. On our way back home she saw her AirPods location and it said it was in cypress. We went to the location and it took us to the cypress college parking lot. We found the AirPods on the floor without the case. Mind you the AirPods were in her purse with other belongings. We assumed a stranger had took her belongings so we just gave up. Few hours later they call and said they found her purse. When we got there everything in her purse was Gone and they had also gave us her wallet separately. The front desk lady seemed nervous and uncomfortable when we were asking her questions about surveillance and telling them that this whole thing does not make sense. We let them know we had filed a police report and then we left. We called the manager on our way home and asked where they found the purse. He said they found it in a corner in a cabinet. Which also makes no sense. He was stuttering and not giving a straight answer when we're asking where they ended up finding the purse and about the surveillance footage. I had also went thru the reviews to see if anyone has also experienced this and someone has but in her situation the dishwasher had her phone (the review is pictured below). This place seems really sketchy about this stuff so please keep an eye on your belongings if you do end up coming. My mom and her friends will not be returning. I believe they took advantage of them being drunk to pull this off. read more

The golf and baseball simulation games are pretty cool but the baseball game kept stalling because the machine wasn't picking up enough baseballs in the reloader and it was really annoying to get the staff person to fix it which really took away from the experience. Olympic Golf Zone is a great place to head to during the weekend with a group of friends or family. There is a lot of space. It's pretty much like a Dave and Busters, but more chill with batting cages, golf range simulators, and beer pong tables. There were I believe around 6 golf range simulators and 2 batting cages. I went on a Friday night and was pretty surprised it wasn't packed or super busy. My group reserved the batting cages for about an hour and I'd recommend anyone to give it a try, but be careful! The softballs get hurled at you pretty fast even at level one. You can adjust how fast or difficult you want to play. Also, the softballs must have been thrown hard to the point where the metal cage wall was broken and sticking out...So someone placed a mattress in front of it. I hope they fix that cage soon because there were instances where the ball would hit the broken metal cage hard, and we're standing right behind it. Everything else is awesome. Fast service and food great. This is a great spot to hang out at, and would recommend coming here if you haven't yet. Worth checking out! read more

My boyfriend and I have been wanting to come here for date night for months and we finally got a chance to. We were so excited to finally try it and it was such a disappointment. First service was not good, it was a Wednesday night, not busy at all, and we barely got checked on. Second we waited over an hour on the pizza.... And when it finally came it was burnt... so we ordered 2 grilled cheese and both came out burnt ! We didn't even eat it and went to go eat somewhere else. Spent $200 on a lousy experience with horrible food, average drinks, and horrible service. I understand that this is simulated golf, however, it would be much better if the launch monitor was close to being accurate. A flush drive should not go 140 yards. Tap in puts that go 90 feet, to top that all off, the screen was so washed out that you could not see the ball. Not worth the money. Very disappointing read more

In my opinion this place is very up and down. The food here is solid....sometimes Not a huge fan of bar food, but however its not horrible like other bar food. Coming in here it kind of sucked because we wanted to play Baseball but it was all shut off...we assumed that they were just repairing it. However one thing that i noticed that the noise level here is very high. With the combination of golf swings and very loud TV sets do not expect to hear your friends conversation. But coming here for screen golf is okay, sometimes the golf sensors work but most of the time you really have to move the balls to make sure the sensors are reading it properly. Let's just say this place may look great from the inside but the hospitality is horrible. We came for a birthday party and they didn't have any food available to order other than chips and fries. The baseball zone wasn't kid friendly as in they couldn't change any of the settings for the children to even try to hit the ball. The bartender is the only person who helped us out with pretty much everything where as the owner didn't try to help. It is also not diverse friendly. There is so much potential in the place but it's totally lacking it right now. I would like to come back but I doubt I will seeing how this place is ran! read more

We came here for my sons 10th bday party. We reserved the batting cages for 2 hours and the cages did not work. They were pitching 80 MPH to 10 year old kids and they didn't know how to fix it. To make matters worse we tried to order food and they had no food available. This place only caters to a certain type of people. I would never go to this place again. Everytime I come here I am impressed with their hospitality and I always have a great time. Last time, there was a private birthday party that I accidentally crashed! Lol the DJ was on point with classic 80s + 90s tracks and by the end of the night I became besties with the bday girl and her Latinx family. The food was not bad and service staff was friendly. However, the golf simulator is terrible. I can imagine it being better about 5 years ago, but it is very inaccurate and in need of updating. If you are not a golfer and just going to drink and have fun it is fine. If you play golf you will probably be disappointed. The batting cage baseball simulator is even worse and maybe throws a strike once every 10 pitches. The sports bar ambiance is pretty good if you are not using the simulators. read more

Great new Sports Bar at "The Source" in Buena Park. We are here on a Friday night and this spacious restaurant/sports bar was practically empty. Definitely the new Owners need to advertise more or connect with the Yelpers Community to get the word out about how great this new place is! This is probably one of the coolest spots to hangout at with your friends on the weekend (or on a weekday). This place has virtual golf and virtual baseball! For golf, the place offers a huge selection of clubs that you can use, along with, the "course" you want with different levels of difficulty or a golf range. The other cool feature is that where you tee off of, the platform will angle itself to match where your ball is at! For baseball, you input all the names and create teams! It's basically a batting cage, but it simulates a game. They also have special bats and helmets available to use. Once you're in the batter's box, it counts down and then shows a pitcher winding up. As the pitcher "throws" it, the ball comes out of the small rectangle in the middle of the screen. You can change the ball speed, the height level, and skill level PER person. The ONLY bad thing about it is that we had to keep pushing the balls into the feeder because it kept getting stuck. If you're hungry, they have a big selection of bar type food, along with a full bar and beer selections. You have to check it out! read more

2 stars because the facility is super clean. However My boyfriend, 1 year old daughter and I visited OGZ around 6pm on 11/1/18. We ordered a coke and a FAMILY VACATION beer. As for food we order the big appetizer of onion rings, cheese sticks, chicken tenders and fries. We also ordered a plate of hot wings. So the big appetizer was for the most part gross. The best thing was the onion rings. The chicken strips were charred burnt and dry. The cheese sticks Luke warm, and the fries tasted like pure salt. The Hot wings were the absolute worse!!! (We didn't eat these at all, sent them back ) So besides the food being awful, our experience was awful, first time being there we were expecting some background about the place, what exactly they have and do. But no, we were sat down , handed a high chair, rushed to get our order in, and then forgotten about in the restaurant. Our female server, was sitting on the high table just on her pink lap top. I had to flag down someone random to get a refill and to send the wings back. ( MIND YOU THERE WAS MAYBE 10 ppl total in here at the time) Never was asked did we need anything else, or even offered another beer. NOTHING! Once the server who took the wings back returned he says " I took the wings off the bill for you" In my mind I'm thinking, well no sh*t sir we didn't eat the wings so why would we have even be worried to pay for these disgusting wings? Like he did us a favor? Okay ???!! That was annoying and not professional as far as service recovery. I wish we would have found out about the golf and other things they have here. Been here more times than I can count. Great place to do something active with a group. Pros: The staff is fantastic and as helpful as can be. They check up on you and help you with any issues you have. Also, their yelp check-in offer is quite generous, considering you can use it every single time. Cons: For all the times we've used the batting cages, I don't think there's been one time when the balls didn't jam or the machine couldn't sense them and kept saying there were no balls to pitch. This wastes time and slows down any game. Also, you have to constantly throw the balls back yourself- not that big of a deal but worth noting. Still give it a 4 because it's always fun with a group and the staff is very reasonable. We've been compensated with discounts and/or more time whenever there's an issue that lasts longer than a couple mins. read more

I brought my 12 year old son and his friend here for the first time today to play virtual baseball and they had a great time! The guy working was so kind and helpful and the facility is very clean. They provide the bats and helmets. I wouldn't suggest it for kids under 12, especially if they aren't baseball players because it does seem geared more towards adults. It's great to see screen golf making its way to Southern California. I came here with some buddies to eat and play a couple hours of golf, and was thoroughly impressed with the experience. The screen golf tech they employ is state of the art! The mat shifts in relation to your lie on the virtual course, they have different types of hitting surfaces if your ball lands in the rough or sand, and the ball flies true in relation to your swing. I'm just saying, don't think that your atrocious slice in real life won't show up on the screen. They also have top of the line golf clubs for you to freely use. They had full sets of TM m4's, Titleist 917s, Rogue, etc. I loved that m4 so much that I went out and bought it the next day (no I did not steal it Mr. Manager guy with glasses haha). the pricing was very reasonable, $50/hr per screen. Split 4-ways with friends makes it a relatively cheap way to eat and unwind while piping some balls 300 yards down the e-fairway. I can now say I played Pebble Beach Golf Links for a meager sum of $33. Can't argue with that logic! The staff was very friendly and attentive and the food was fine. The young guy with glasses, Mr. Korean Harry Potter, has excellent customer relations skills and makes sure you have a great time. I hope he reads this and gets a good laugh ^^. Just one thing I would suggest the kitchen change is the popcorn chicken, as it was not what we expected it to be. If they made it similar to Taiwanese popcorn chicken, I'm sure it would be their best "anju." I'll be back! read more
