The rest of the menu looks great, but these tacos are only $1 each during happy hour which is EVERY DAY from 3-7pm and ALL DAY on TUESDAYS. Ordering online is super simple and they are always fresh and ready to go when I go to pick up the order. No hassle, cheap and tasty. Super irritated. Saw a new "allergy friendly" restaurant come up on Uber Eats. I called OMG Tacos before ordering and spoke with someone who assured me about items that would be safe to order. Placed my order and flour tortillas showed up. I called them again and they told me I should have specified "corn tortillas" in the order even though I checked off "gluten allergy" in the order options AND wrote a special note about it needing to be gluten free for celiac disease. Me and my family enjoy touring taco places around town and whenever we travel, but I have not ever been to a taco place with such unique tacos as OMG. The distinct Asian Fusion style of the tacos labeled as "OMG" really surprised me, and I found it to be delicious. I recommend the OMG chicken taco with teriyaki sauce if you are willing to try something new. There classic tacos also had great flavor, a testament to the caliber of cooking of the restaurant. It's not terrible but it's not good either. I've tried this place twice and both times I was not satisfied. Today I got the elote and California burrito. Elote was oddly hard as if it wasn't cooked, but I thought nothing of it, I get to near the bottom and see a weird yellow liquid. I attached a picture below not sure what it is but my stomach hurts. I loveeee elote have never once seen this color, it makes me think the elote is kept in the freezer!!! Lastly, burrito-nothing special. Pros Taste Variety Ambience Cons Prices Health OMG Tacos is a very decent Mexican styled food restaurant. For those of you that follow me we all know that I'm not the biggest fan of Mexican food. However, one of my hunger adventures led me to this location. Initially they were in Richardson right off of Plano and Beltline, but moved just off of 75 and Arapaho service road area. The taste is still the same with the same recipes. My favorite is the beef quesadillas, I rarely finish all of them. But there's a flavorful explosion in the food with each bite. There are a variety of other different foods to choose from and several different meats to add to your plate. They have also upgraded to a bar area with local and standard brews to choose from. This creates more foot traffic and adds to the already established hipster vibe that they give. The ambience here is also well put together, it offers a relaxed low lighting atmosphere alongside several huge hanging TVs to watch your favorite movies or sports shows. This is a big upgrade to the business. On the other side to cover the cost of these changes they've increased their prices ever so slightly. For someone that's analytical those cents will eventually add up, a 3 person order could cost as much as a full tank of unleaded fuel. If you're a health nut, while they have healthy options, there's still the omnipresence of greasy goodness holding your arteries hostage. I'm not a big fan of grease dripping from my quesadillas but hey good food was made to kill us. Overall it's a good place and good times if you're in the mood for Mexican food in the area. I went here for dinner one night but overall meh. I got 1 Pastor taco $1.75, 1 Steak Taco $2.75, 1 Barbacoa Taco $2.50, Chips + Guac (Large) $5.50 and the Elotes $4.00. The Pastor taco was okay on flavor but small. The steak taco was terrible, the meat was tough and dried out. The Barbacoa was good, juicy and flavirful. The guac was terrible, missing flavor and had a weird tang to it. The elotes was good and you get to top it yourself to your own liking for spice. I went to their Richardson location pretty often and fell in love with their loaded fries, so I was super excited to visit the new location with some friends! It was decorated very well but it's super disappointing that their portions seem to have gotten smaller to account for the increased cost of rent. It wasn't just me who noticed this either, a friend said it too! I paid $14 for a rather small portion of loaded steak fries considering the cost - really wish I took a pic to try and compare, but you'll have to take my word on that. Would not recommend the OMG Steak either - super fatty and chewy. All in all, probably wouldn't come back again. read more

Ok so I have been going to OMG Tacos for 3 years now and I was so excited to hear that they were opening a new location in Richardson. Yesterday was their grand opening event and it was BUSY all day! I waited til the evening to go and it was still hopping! They had a DJ and specials for their grand opening but what really had me excited for this new location was their FULL BAR! Yes! Before this location opened the only location that had a bar was their location in Ft Worth. Even though they were super busy they were on it! The staff was quick bringing out your order and cleaning up tables all with a smile on their face. Its so awesome to see a local business do so well and experience the growth they've had in the past couple of years. As far as my favorites.. the OMG steak taco.. I love their loaded fries with or without protein.. and their queso is delicious! Everything I've tried has been great. I had a not so great experience the last visit to their old Richardson location but I'm so glad that was just a fluke! Definitely check out this new location. A Richardson classic! The first time I went here, I actually didn't like it (can't remember why), but I ended up going back and trying something new and LOVING it. I'm a big fan of all the OMG steak offerings, the scallions and the steak work so well together. Would be a really tough choice if someone put a gun to my head and made me choose between the OMG steak quesadilla and OMG steak fries. I also enjoy the queso quite a bit as well.
