They have a large waiting area with plenty of seats, but not much seating if you wanted to have your drink "for here". I got a Magnolia Matcha with cheese foam. It was great! Matcha with floral undertones. The cheese foam was amazing -- kind of a cheesecake-ish flavor, but I'm not sure it is worth an extra $1.25 as an add-on. read more

Wanted to get some Omomo to use a gift card we got for Lunar New Year so we stopped by the Irvine location thinking there'd be a low line and of course there was a long line outside haha. Yelp search showed there was a Tustin location so we decided why not go there instead and it most likely would have a lower wait time/line even with the extra drive time. Correct! Based on its signage, it looks like it's pretty new and hasn't even had the "grand opening" yet. They have a sign saying service may be slow since they're new etc. Line took less than 10 minutes and drink readiness another less than 10 minutes. The Oreo brulee taste the same! It was cool they have drink options unique to the location which I'm sure helps drive traffic to their various stores. Going with the theme of relatively new staff, they forgot to add our lychee jelly topping so I went back to ask if they could just add it in and re-seal it. They said they'd just remake the drink and we could keep the wrong one too, pretty standard and great! The kind of service and experience I'd expect for paying $14 for two beverages. But they asked for the drink receipt and when they checked their ticket he explained there wasn't lychee jelly because I didn't pay for it or in other words the cashier forgot to add it or with the noise inside, she just didn't hear us order it to add it. So I offered to pay for it but he said he'd just give us a side of lychee jelly for free which I then added to my existing drink by tearing the lid more open. I asked if I could get a new lid but the plastic lids don't fit the standard boba cups and it didn't sound like they wanted to re-seal it, maybe a food safety health violation thing I don't know. I think as he saw my deformed drink, he somewhat offered to remake it but at that point it just felt like an awkward situation and having a bigger seal opening wasn't the biggest deal. Drinks are just like the other locations in Irvine and Brea. They're consistent all around and staff are nice here. They were doing hands on training, and our cashier was very detailed in asking us how we wanted our drinks. I like the Omomo matcha at 50% sweet, so good. Came on a weekday mid-day so there was no wait. Ordered the magnolia milk tea, which has a very light floral taste with 30% sweetness. It's a light drink that doesn't taste or feel too heavy. Happy to check out this location bc it's next to ranch 99, perfect for me to finish my grocery and get a drink. I got there before noon and there was already line outside; I was number 2 in the line. I would suggest people to look at the menu before ordering to speed up things. I was debating the peach oolongs or the mango turando drink, end up coring for the mango drink for this hot day with 25 perfect sweetness! I always get the Omomo matcha and it's always made perfectly, whether it's this location or the Irvine one. I feel like having this newer location really offsets the lines in both. This one is located in between Starbucks and Dave's Hot Chicken in the 99Ranch plaza off Newport. The parking lot is huge, so never an issue. Drinks are consistent with the Irvine location as I live near one and work near the other, so visit either location at least once a week. Love the black jade tea with the tiramisu top but the drinks with caffeine are pretty strong, so good if you need the boost, but not if it keeps you up at night! Customer service is always good. Put in your number for points. Like at the other location, there's really not seating inside except for those waiting, but unlike the Irvine one, there's no outdoor seating. So this is more of a grab and go location, whereas with the Irvine location, you can usually find some seating outside. read more

It was incredibly refreshing and I can feel the addiction setting in LOL the price is very fair and actually my drink came out in a fairly quick amount of time. This place does get packed though so get in line if there is one, you'll have time to decide what you want by the time you get to the front of the line. My brother and I were there around 7pm and ordered camo thai with 50% sugar, no ice and omomo matcha with oreo blended, 50% sugar. Wait time was adequate and we got our drinks within 20 minutes. First time at Omomo and loved the drinks. Love that they use actual fruit in their drinks. Got the mango tornado with coffee jelly 50% sweetness and strawberry tornado with aloe 50% sweetness. It tasted great at those sweetness levels. It also came with cheese foam on top. The line does sometimes get long when there's waves of people but it moves pretty quick. It doesn't take long for the drink to come out. It's very spacious and has two long windy benches to sit on while you wait. I don't think I've seen a shop that looks like this inside before. Excited to give this place a try at last! When I used to work in Irvine, I'd sometimes stop by Trader Joe's on the way home, and the Omomo next door always had an enormous line in front of it, which was equal parts intimidating and intriguing. I'm relieved that when I stopped by the Tustin location today (5pm Monday), there was no line, so I was able to make an order right away. The drinks my partner and I got were great! Very fresh, floral, and refreshing. I can't say I would wait more than 20 minutes when there are so many other decent drink spots in the area, but I was pleased all the same. There's a generous amount of seating and standing room inside while you're waiting for your drinks to come out. I'm actually glad there aren't any tables, because for how busy this place probably gets, campers would be more of a nuisance than anything else (and I say this as someone who loves to camp at cafes to write/draw, so this isn't camper hate lol). My only issue is that the music was DEAFENING. It was pretty difficult to hear the cashier with Empire of the Sun blasting at full volume. Please turn it down a notch! read more

I went to the 2nd day of the opening of Omomo Tea Shoppe in Tustin. I arrived at 12:05 PM which was 5 minutes after opening. The line was already around the sidewalk and ending at the signal light. It would be a 2 hour wait until ordering drinks. The line was cut and began again so as not to obstruct Dave's Hot Chicken's business and those waiting in line observed the request not to block other businesses. An employee brought out menus and answered questions for those in line. They do have milk alternatives as in oat milk and almond milk. Sweetness level can be adjusted to 80, 50, 30, or 0. The foams available include cheese, tiramisu, and matcha. You can ask for less ice. At the one hour mark of waiting, the same employee brought cups of ice cold water for those who had been standing in line for an hour. It was the perfect timing as I felt thirsty from standing in the sun and having the cold wind blowing on me. There was another line inside to the cashier. There was one person taking drink orders with another one occasionally jumping in to take orders when not busy with other tasks. They were giving totes for 3 drinks, keychains for 2 drinks, and pins for 1 drink. There was a crowd in the waiting area, but there were spaces to sit. My order was Ceylon milk tea with cheese foam, white peach oolong Creamomo with cheese foam at 30% sweet, Uji green milk tea with almond milk at 80%, Omomo Matcha 80% sweet, and Gyokuro green tea with no sweetener. The manager was seeing to it that drinks were gotten out and placed in bags/carriers with straws given. She was also checking accuracy of orders. A true test of tea is how it tastes without any added sugar. The Gyokuro green tea failed miserably for my husband. He hated the tea when he recalled to mind other tea shops he'd been to. He found it hard to take another sip. It was bitter and seemed overbrewed. I enjoyed my Ceylon milk tea with cheese foam. We'll need to come back to try the Tustin specific drinks like the Magnolia Matcha which the employee tells me is like the Uji green milk tea with matcha foam and is better with oat milk. P.S. I went again today. The line was shorter and it was 1 hour until I was able to place my order. read more

Newly opened and busy, but still serving quality drinks. I like Omomo and have been going for years, although the line at the Irvine location can be relatively daunting. I was happy when I heard the news that Omomo was opening a Tustin location in Lawrin Square shopping center. It's right next to Starbucks and is close to the 99 Ranch, so it is not hard to miss. Since it was opening weekend I expected there to be a wait, similar to the Irvine location, but the team was working hard so the line moved relatively quickly and people were getting their drinks in a reasonable time. Since it is opening weekend there was also some swag given out, the more freebies given with the more drinks you order. We got the Oreo Brulee Green Tea and the Strawberry Fruit Tornado.
