Most of my classmates and teachers kept raving about how this place is so "bomb, fire, banging etc" so I knew not to expect it to be good because they mainly eat at the typical fast food joints. I finally gave in an tried it. On + on is like a Asian themed chipotle that's more expensive and you get less bang for your buck. They weigh out the amount of rice they give you so if you want more than the little scoop they give you have to pay extra.the meat selection is basic I got the bulgogi it was dried out and over cooked like over cooked roast beef. I sampled the spicy pork let's just say spicy is an understatement it was so hot you couldn't taste anything else besides spice so if you don't mind your mouth and butthole being on fire go for it . They let you choose veggies I opted for the roasted brussel sprouts and zucchini which they only give 3 pieces of each and they added a dash of corn I really wanted a decent amount of the pickled cabbage and carrots but they were not having it smh overall this place is just ok if you're in the mood for those greasy teriyaki places but don't want all the grease I most likely will not return unless someone else is paying on the bright side the have a really good seaweed dressing that's why I gave them the two stars lol read more

Nice spot to grab something quick and somewhat healthy. Had the grilled salmon with half kimchi rice and half noodles. Good selection of veggies. Hot sauce was not hot AT ALL so opt for the sriracha instead. Left a little underwhelmed I have to admit, the taste of the salmon didn't stand out on its own and the kimchi rice wasn't spicy enough in my opinion. Ugh I love coming here! I don't think this place is expensive at all because they stack the bowls up and I can never finish it. People who complain about it not being enough are crazy! Day 1- I had a bowl with kimchi rice, buckwheat noodles, salmon, Brussels sprouts, zucchini's garnished with cilantro, crunchy sea weed, fried onions, sesame seeds it ha side of creamy cilantro dressing. All ingredients were fresh, beautiful appeal, rich combination of flavors. I had a cup of mango passion fruit lemonade to go with my meal. It was a nice sweet to go with a salty, spicy meal. I especially enjoyed being able to create my own bowl, testing different arrangements of food. Day 2- Bowl with salad, kimchi rice (a must did $.50 cents extra), zucchini, bushel sprouts, cucumber, with shrimp and pork meat balls. Again, i add cilantro, peanut sauce for the meat balls on the side, topped with the same dry toppings as day 1. Still loved the food, eating same place for day 2. The servers were friendly and quick. Imagine an Asian inspired Chipotle...BOOM ON+ON KITCHEN! I wasn't expecting much to be honest. I was caught by surprise with my first bite. It was a ridiculous amount of flavor from start to finish. Easily vegan friendly without the compromise of flavor. The server was very considerate with mentioning that the kimchi rice and the brussel sprouts had fish sauce which I almost ended up getting if she had not mentioned it first. I went ham with the toppings and by "ham" I mean I got almost all of them with a little extra of each to compensate for the protein I didn't get (unfortunately no Tofu but got sliced Sweet potatoes and Yams instead). My favorites were the pickled veggies! Pickled red onions+pickled radish + pickled carrots = healthy and tasty! The last part of creating the best Asian rice bowl ever is the drizzle of your choice (I forgot the name of what I got but it was some sort of vinegarette) and a sprinkle of dried seaweed and sesame seeds (they had fried onions too but wasn't feeling it this time around). A healthy, satiating, tasty and colorful bowl of flavor. I was able to eat about half and was satisfied. I had the other half a little later but the portions given were great! If there were one of these closer to Burbank or even Bakersfield I can definitely see me as a regular customer! Highly recommend giving this place a try! read more

Another great grab and go lunch spot in Compton. You can order online and walk to the front of the line and pick up your food. If coming here on a lunch break I recommend getting here early or ordering online. The line gets long fast. Also try ordering a kids meal the portion is plenty of an adult. read more

First the pros: The food is of good quality, fresh & taste great! The cons: 1 Been here 3 times at different times and days of the week & 3 times I had to wait for 1 or more items to be cooked. 2 Each visit I had to wait for meatballs. As I waited noticed that other customers had to wait for other proteins to be prepared as well. 3 if this is a fast food restaurant the food should be fast not made to order and wait. Been coming for a few months but this is the last time. They give you less and less food. I literally got 4 brussel sprouts and 3 pieces of zucchini. I had to repeatedly ask for more to make my bowl close to what I used to be able to get. It's not even close, and now not worth the price. I asked for my receipt to be emailed. In general I used to really love this location of On+ On, which I live close to and the service is always great and they're always very nice but they've dropped the ball the last few months. The station with all food looks extremely dirty and the meat and the rice has been coming out very cold. The last time we went I got very sick from my stomach and I'm extremely disappointed which what has happened here.
