We just finished a complete repipe of our house including the installation of a tankless water heater. These guys were awesome, came in on day one with a full crew of +/- 8 guys and knocked it out in a day. Water was shut off at 8:30 and back on by 3:30 including the new water heater. Inspection and drywall repair on 2nd day (which happened on a Monday due to inspectors). Overall great experience, great price (we received multiple pricing). Deposit upon contract signing and 95% at completion of first days work. I had no problem with this since i was comfortable with inspecting work and progress. UPDATE to Original Review - In January had the mainline repaired no problem, time to do the rest of the house... Jose and his crew of 4 or 5 arrived on time and completed the job a bit early. Complete re-pipe, water heater replaced, stubborn kitchen faucet fixed and some new lines added. All well done, City Inspector came next day signed off on the job, walls patched up and repainted you'd never know any work was done. We are very happy and would recommend One Day Complete any time. Prompt, courteous, competitive, clean, quality are the first words that come to mind. Noticed on a Saturday my main line from the street to the house sprang a leak during the recent cold snap. I call those guys looking at great reviews here. Someone Paul shows up. I mentioned there is are few copper pipes I had seen and previous owner mentioned below the house. He refused to look below the house. Saying I am 70 year old and don't go under the house. Wondering if their estimators can't even care to look below the house, how are they coming up with numbers. Finally comes up with very big estimate (which was no surprise because folks who don't care to understand needs will just keep huge margin may be 2-3 times the actual price) and says I could talk to my boss and see if he can remove a few dollars off estimate. Takes my email address and never sends back. I think it was a waste of time asking for estimate. Changed my review rating to be netural after I got message from estimator that he mispelled email address hence didnt email a revised estimate. He mentioned he did do a mistake. Mistakes do happen. I am incredibly impressed with One Day Complete Repipe, who has now repiped two single family houses for me. From start to finish, they are professional and organized. Their quotes detail the exact scope of work (more so than any contractor that I've worked with) and they take care of pulling the city building permits for the projects. The first project occurred in December 2014 in the pouring rain. The team put down plastic and cloths to ensure that they did not track any mud inside. At the end of the day, they even mopped the floor, leaving the house in cleaner condition than what it was at their arrival. The second project occurred in August 2015 and everything went smoothly. Fast forward to February, my tenant mentioned that the master bathroom faucet did not provide hot water (although everything else works perfectly). Jose and his crew recently completed a complete repiping of my rental townhouse in Fremont due to leaks in the supply lines within the slab, they also replaced the water heater and main from the street. Their work was done as promised with the only delays being due to the city inspectors not being available one day and some requests from my HOA. They were very considerate of our scheduling issues and of being respectful of the HOA regulations, erring on the side of caution and doing the main replacement on a separate day than the rest of the repiping due to an HOA request to have the utility lines marked. Rather than leave my tenants without water until the main replacement two days later, they temporarily reconnected the existing main - extra work on their end, but great customer service. I was most impressed by the drywall patch crew, they worked efficiently and the texture guy did a great job of matching the existing wall textures. read more

At first I considered making this a 4 star review, because they started at 10 am and were done at nearly 10 pm, and they should have started and ended sooner. However, the workers are coming in from places like Modesto because we've priced high quality tradespeople and craftspeople out of the Bay Area and that's on us. I am extremely satisfied with the job. There was a job captain/ project manager on site (Jose) who wasn't spending his time sawing or welding, and was actually managing the project which I believe is critical. He jumped in when one of the tradesmen needed a hand but his time was mostly spent keeping the project on track and keeping me informed on progress. I felt very at ease about what was going on in my home, which is something I can't say regarding other services I've received. The drywall patch happened 2 days later (after the city inspection, the inspector needs access to the joints) and I can't even tell there were ever holes. My house was left clean, no piles of dust, the tradesmen were respectful of my property and most importantly we've got high pressure water through clean pipes. Also, no offer of $50 or something in exchange for a 5 star review, which is very common with service providers nowadays, so these reviews you're reading are genuine. read more

After the "plumber" sent for my home warranty repair failed to unclog my drain, claiming I had to install a clean-out, I called One Day Repipe based on these reviews. They were on time, unclogged the pipe, and did it for littler more than what my fee would've been under the warranty. One Day (I don't have the guys name handy) figured out where the blockage was, opened up the pipe in a different location away from the drain so he could get to the clog, and used a powered snake to break it up. The original guy just shoved a hand snake down the drain and claimed he couldn't do anymore. We also discussed repiping and he gave me an estimate, but said it really wasn't necessary. Cast iron pipes may clog a little more often than new pipes would, but they do work, and cleaning them out every couple years isn't a big deal. No upsell, just good service at a decent price. They're my go-to plumber. read more

My parents water heater died and I have been wanting to get their pipes replaced on their home, the house is over 50-60 years old if not older and never has had a re haul on their pipes. I figured it was time. After long research, prior to the water heater breaking, on different companies that did this type of work; I had decided to call Jose to come out to do an estimate. Gave me a great quote which included replacing the heater, piping, one shower fixture and a work permit to have the work inspected by the city. The permit gave me peace of mind that the work would be up to code and done correctly for my money. The crew showed up promptly at 8 am and completed the job at 6 pm. Water was restored to the house and we had working hot water and new pipes at my parents home! This work was done on a Friday. Come Monday morning the second phase of the work was to be completed which was patching of the walls under the various sinks and a closet that the needed to opened up to get access to the pipes. Also the building inspector came and certified all the work was done correctly and up to code! Overall I am very happy with the work, very professional and minimum distribution of my parents daily life other than not having running water for about eight hours. Well, it's never a good day when you have to spend thousands of dollars on plumbing work, but Ron and Juan and their crew made it as painless as possible. We got a water bill in November that was higher than our summer usage, so we figured either we have a leak or they read the meter wrong. The December bill arrived and it was even higher, so now we knew we had a leak. And so on one of our handyman's regular visits, we actually found a bubbling spring in our front yard! We dug down to the pipe and discovered a 61 year-old galvanized pipe that had a bunch of pinhole sized leaks (looked almost like a shower head spraying). We tried patching it with that fiberglass composite pipe wrap you can buy that works on wet pipes, but sadly that only slowed the leak down. The next day I started picking through Yelp for plumbing reviews. Ron was the first to get back to me, and was also the first to be able to come out and look at the job. We got another quote or two, but since Ron was able to come immediately (this may have just been good luck, but he was able to come over within 2 hours of his first call to me in response to my Yelp inquiries). Long story short, he quoted a fair price and was able to come do my job 6 days later. Ron had said the crew might be a bit late on Thursday, and there was excellent communication with Ron & Juan, so sure enough, on Wednesday night or Thursday morning, Juan texted me to say they would arrive around 1 pm and would bring extra crew to get my job done by end of the day since my inspection was set up for the very next day. So sure enough, Juan and crew arrive about 1 pm and are done by 4:30 pm. The next morning, they are back to my house and waiting for the inspector to arrive. Proposal - The proposal prepared by Sergio and Jose was very detail and comprehensive compared to other vendors. There were no pressure on the sales. Repiping activities - The crew members came in the morning, went straight to their assigned areas, and worked very well as a team. They repiped the whole house in 1 day. Their work was also inspected by the building inspector with no issues. They were also responsive to our numerous requests (for e.g. installing new hardware, electrical grounding etc) and cleaned up the place when the job is done. Jose and his crew re-piped our home in Willow Glen on March 27. I'm writing this review over 3 months later, and I am still glad we picked this business. We received three bids for our job. The other two bids proposed using two plumbers for as many days (4 or 5, they thought) as it took, with the water off during only the final day. I asked that bids include all drywall and paint finishing work, but one bid did not. One Day Complete gave us the lowest bid, including all that I had requested, and fully priced the bid during the estimation visit. The other bids came in a day or two later. The day of re-piping was a long one! I remember that they finished around 10 p.m., with the water on and everything in operation. After the first inspection, holes were patched and painted. In the finished basement, that was messier than I'd expected; I needed to clean dust and grit (from the "popcorn" ceiling finish, which had been opened) out of some files that hadn't been covered by tarp quite right. That's praising with faint damns - they HAD contained a huge mess, with only a little stuff scattered into places I didn't find until later. As promised, the drywall worker is excellent at matching textures and paint. So, I cleaned it up. They had certainly done all the heavy lifting well. The inspector had no problems at all with the water piping. He found one nit with grounding (fixed for the final inspection). Now for the "above and beyond" section. I soon found water dripping below the kitchen sink; a slip joint in the drain trap was leaking, and when I tried to tighten the joint, it fell apart in my hands. It didn't seem to fit together well, no matter how I tried. The kitchen sink actually has two basins and a garbage disposal. One sink drains into the disposal, and so does the dishwasher. We'd had repeated troubles with the disposal that was present when we bought the house in 2000, and I replaced it with a bigger, stronger unit at least six years earlier. Jose concluded that the installers had done an amateurish job installing the bigger unit years ago, trying to fit it into the cramped situation. They had put a P-trap in backward, for example. And, as I saw, one of the slip joints just barely connected - and only on a good day. Jose spent several hours and two shopping trips rebuilding the drain soundly. However, he warned me that the hose draining the dishwasher just barely fit then (and needed to bend about 180 degrees), after he had needed to rotate the disposer to make its drain fit. Sure enough, a couple months later (recently), the dishwasher drain hose kinked shut. Jose came again and added a hard elbow so the hose would not need to bend so tightly. Jose came promptly both times ... and there were no additional charges. Sweet! I'm still glad that we picked this business for the re-piping. (I don't want to do another one any time soon, however.) read more

I had my whole house copper repiped in Oct 2015 and Jose's team did an amazing job. My initial estimate and consultation was with Paul and he was convincing and sincere. I couldn't believe it was done in one day. They finished around 8pm I think and it was dark by then being in the Fall time frame. I was home all day and I never felt the crew was rushed. The patch crew did an amazing job, too, the next day. You really can't tell where the patch work was done if you didn't know ahead of time. Of course, it blends in even more over time. They installed the ground rod and even put in another pressure regulator thingie by the water heater. They did everything I asked and even some things I didn't think they could do but they were able to. I have great water pressure and no more rusty waters. You can't go wrong with a lifetime warranty either. So far everything is fine. No issues at all. They do quality work at a very good price. At least get an estimate from them. read more

Worked with Jose to get a quote for repiping from supply line to house and to the hot water heater. They did the work in December 2017 and it was all done with permits. The crew was on time and very professional. They did a great job covering the floors in the house, and put up plastic barrier around the crawl space area in the bedroom closet. This ended up being a FIVE DAY INCOMPLETE REPIPE job due to poor workmanship and inability to pass the inspection. This was the worst from the beginning to the end. The BEGINNING: Salesperson assures the house inside would look exactly the same after the work is completed. Not true. I found out that day, that they were going to put standard white tiles around the new shower fixtures unless I had my own color matching tiles. Salesperson said the holes would be patched, omitting that I would need to sandpaper and paint the walls, including the bare spots that occurred when they carelessly ripped down the tape put on the ceilings for the protective plastic. It took a day to clean the dirt and drywall silt from my rooms. The salesperson will suggest saving money by not getting a permit.....this would be extremely foolhardy!!!! The inspection, which had to be done a couple times until finally approved, was my only recourse to ensure that (1) the "water hammer" from my bathroom fixtures was fixed (Jose will tell you this is a common noise he has in his house and is perfectly fine...bs), (2) the noise was dampened and abated from the installation of the new water circulation pump (imagine banging pipes at 1:00 am, 3:30 am, 5:00 am as well as other hours throughout the day), and (3) all pipes covered with insulation not just a few. Jose, to his credit, did try a few things such as putting another pump in, resetting the timer, suggesting taking the entire system out, etc. However, this occurred over an extended period of two to three months while I had to live with that noise before it was finally resolved to a tolerable decibel level at an additional cost for new PEX piping and insulating all the pipes. It was embarassing having people over as the banging was that noticeable. As mentioned in other reviews, the workers show up late due to long drives from Modesto, and they finish at 10 pm. I even tried confirming the night as well as the morning for the patching day, which had zero effect, since they showed up three hours late anyway. THE END: This company has poor and untruthful communication about scheduling, details and scope of the job. read more

We just moved in to our new house, and within two weeks our main line from the street to the house broke. Our next door neighbor let us know that we had a leak after seeing the sidewalk wet for a couple of days, without any watering being done in the front yard (Friday). I called around to several companies, without luck (it being the weekend). One company sent me an estimate, and the others stated that they would have to get to it next week. I had kicked the can down the road about as far as I could on re-piping our house. Over the last few years I'd talked to a few of the re-pipe companies and never got a solid feeling from any of them. That and the high pressure "if you sign by Friday I'll give you $200 off!!" A little more research on many of these guys showed they used subcontractors and didn't have their own installers, good luck when you have a problem or need follow up after the fact. One Day Repipe was different from the start, sales guy Scot was pleasant, friendly and knowledgeable about the process. When the big day came the guys were there on time and prepared. I walked the house with Jose (owner) to go over a couple things and off they went. They were very clean, respected our house and were friendly guys. New piping all the way to the meter was complete in one day and water was on when we got home at 6 that night. As it turns out we did need a little post install support to which Jose addressed himself, (think about the scope of work, little things are going to pop up) he's a great guy, cares about his customers and just gets it. I'm not sure I would have got the same support if I went with one of the other companies that uses subcontractors, something tells me there would have been a lot of finger pointing... One Day Repipe is a very busy company, I asked Jose why he didn't have more crews, he told me he wanted to personally oversee his projects and couldn't do that if his business got to big, that says it all to me... read more

If you have an issue with any of your drains, call Them!! This past week I noticed my master bathroom sink drain wasn't draining as well as usual and today it stopped draining completely. I called around 3:30 pm after a poor experience with another plumbing company. They were able to send out a technician not only the same day but within 2 hours of my call. They sent out Mike for my clogged drain. He is one of the best technicians I've worked (and I've met a lot!). Simply stellar service. I got a few bids to repipe the entire house in copper, install a new water heater and install and pipe a new water softener. Their bid was right around the middle of the pack. Pretty reasonable, but the biggest selling point was they would do it in ONE DAY. Some of the high bids (and I'm talking moon high) wanted 5-7 days to piecemeal it out, and this way it wouldn't cut your water off. No thanks, I'd rather take one day without water then 7 days and 25% more expensive to accomplish the same thing. They came out at 8:30am and got right to work. They had about 6 people here that day and they were all busy. Some were working on the main line, some were under the house piping, some were by the truck cutting pipes. At 6:30 they were done and left the house reasonably clean. The next day (Saturday mind you) the city inspector came out (who knew the City of San Jose worked weekend). I walked around with the inspector and every time he looked at the pipes he said "Wow, this is great, they did everything right" "This solder job is amazing" "This is really quality work". I think this is the biggest compliment as a city permit worker was actually impressed the quality of work. The inspector said they needed to patch some holes before he could sign off. The drywall fellas got right to work and fixed the hole, they called back the inspector (who was very nice to come back) and signed off on the permit. The two guys that repaired the drywall were fantastic. They were very pleasant and did an amazing job. Can't even tell there was a hole there. Everything works great, the lawn isn't torn up, the house is clean, the pipes work, and everything including the permit and drywall were done in two days. This is a first-class company from top to bottom. Ronn replied back to my email inquiry within minutes, and in the next few days the work spec for my repiping project was finalized. I thought the cost estimate was exactly what I anticipated, and my newly remodeled condo was given the white-glove treatment by Jose and very competent team -- they protected my new hardware floor, and took a lot of care to reduce their work footprint. Of course, repiping involves some temp demolition of drywall to get to the infrastructure, and they did a fantastic restoration job after the plumbing work to put things back together. After a day of drying, a little painting by me finished the job, and now the water service is perfect. We had a great experience with One Day Complete Repipe. The repiped in a single day, even though they had a bit of a late start. A few days after the repipe was done, and one of the first times we used our guest shower, the water wouldn't shut off and dripped hot water. We called a plumber, and he indicated that this was very common after repiping, because of disturbed sediment that can cause stuck valves. I wasn't sure what kind of response to expect from One Day Complete Repipe, but we contacted them at 6:30 PM, and that same evening, by 10 PM they had come to our house, replaced the cartridge for the valve without any charge, and even refused a tip for their late night. They left saying, if you have any other problems, just call us. That's standing behind their work and 5 star service in my book. read more

Jose and his team were awesome from start to end. The quote process was pretty straightforward. Jose's quote was on the lower end of the spectrum though not the cheapest. I had them change my main line as well as all the old pipes under the house. I also had them change my water heater. Note that it is advisable to change the main line if it is really old too and you get a much much better deal if you have his team do the whole thing at once. I also asked for permits. I chose Jose because of price and yelp reviews. They came in morning at 9 am and completed the repiping work in a day. They did not disturb our driveway and bore underneath it. After they left, we could not even tell if they were ever there. Quality of work is really good. There were a couple of things not up to the code but Jose's team quickly fixed them. I recommended Jose to one of my neighbors and they seemed to have done work at her place within a day too. If you are looking for repiping and water heater replacement - look no further! read more

His quote was significantly less than another one we had received. That Saturday, Jose and his crew (probably 6-7 guys) started work at 8:15a and were done by 6:30. They were all very professional and worked very hard all day. The following Tuesday, the inspector came out and gave his approval of their work and then the patching/drywall team started in on patching up our walls. I couldn't be happier with the quality work and customer interaction they gave me. It started with Scot giving me a great and Fair quote. He also went over everything that was going to happen and what to expect, all along answering all my questions. The crew showed up on time and dove right into their work. They laid out tarps where needed to protect my flooring and such. After multiple small leaks, weakening water pressure, and uneven temperature fluctuations, I decided to bite the bullet and repipe. We live in one of the units of a 4plex we own. Prior to the repiping it took about 2 minutes for the water in our unit to get nice and warm. Now, with the addition of a recirculation line, it takes 5 seconds or less (which saves a lot of water for the environment and helps with water bill!). Having eliminated the nasty galvanized pipes, the water also just feels cleaner. One Day Complete Repipe's price was reasonable and came with a ten year warranty. The work was done professionally and quickly. The drywall people textured the walls beautifully. The whole thing really makes me feel the pride of ownership in my home.
