I typically order to-to from One Hot Mama's location in Bluffton. While we have had nothing but exceptional food; south in your mouth salad, wings, apps etc., I find it difficult to continue returning as our take out order usually has numerous errors. I typically pay for 1 to 2 extra ranch to be added to my order, which are never included without additional request. We have had errors in how many wings we ordered versus what we received. During our last experience we ordered 16 wings and even reviewed our order prior to hanging up; however, once we picked up the order we were only given 9. We did go back in and let them know, but had to them wait an additional 30 minutes for wings on top of the hour we already waited for the order. I recommend triple checking when placing and order and picking up to attempt to avoid the frustration. read more

Our waiter came to our table and said we got stuck with him. Our appetizer arrived before our drinks (including water) .Our meal took over 25 minutes to be delivered. The floor was dirty from a child. They were prepping a table and not cleaning the floor. I said the floor is a mess you should clean that up first, crayons, napkins and food on the floor. We have enjoyed One Hot Mamas in Hilton Head and were really looking forward to them opening in Bluffton. But the food just wasn't as good and it took a really long time to get our order. My husband's pulled pork seemed really dry. And my beef brisket was nearly all fat. I had slices that were 75% fat. Very little meat to eat. Yummy! We recently relocated from NC, and hubby and I happened to stumble on this place after a movie next-door. It is absolutely amazing! Food, drinks, everything, you won't be disappointed. We were frustrated though, as I ordered 8 wings for my entree and my husband ordered 8 wings and shrimp for his. After finishing my wings, I took a couple of hubby's shrimp to munch on. We went to One Hot Mama's just for a quick bite to eat. We went in and sat at the bar. Mike and Dominique were both awesome and we thoroughly enjoyed them as well as the delicious food. The only downfall was that we found out near the end of the meal Mike is a Bears fan. We will return despite his poor taste in football teams. read more

Food is always good when it comes to One Hot's in Bluffton but the service SUCKS. We went in for lunch today and sat at the bar. We waited about 19 minutes for someone to notice we had sat down. Once the bartender came to us and got waters, she didn't come back for about 15 minutes. After her flirting with another employee behind the bar she remembered us and continued to take our drink and food order. We had take out from here during our deep Covid visit and remember it was so good we did it twice (though I can't remember what we ordered). Dined in this week during an unplanned week on HHI. We tried to eat dinner here on Monday around 6:30 and the wait was around 2 hours! We came back about 4:30 or so on Tuesday, got in instantly but it was filling up. Point being plan your timing accordingly, it's worth it! Nice warm, woody atmosphere and the service was friendly and excellent. We had the onion haystack appetizer which was delish. A nice level of batter, lighter than most blooming onions and the sauce was fabulous. Note: their signature BBQ sauce is unique and different and very tasty, so be sure to try some on something. Mixed in with their regular haystack sauce, which was good, took it to another level. My wife had the BBQ Chicken Salad and loved it (I ate some of it and can witness the same). Again, their BBQ flavoring is unique and flavorful. I had the Brisket Stroganoff. For dietary reasons I don't eat that kind of food very often anymore and had been looking forward to this treat all day after seeing it on the menu in Yelp. I was not disappointed. It was just excellent, again a unique flavor. I tried a little of the BBQ sauce mixed in with the already great flavor! Note: the server said she eats it at least once a week. Another note: I'm a cider fan and had the Austin Blood Orange cider (for the first time) - loved it. Not once did anyone come out, not even the manager to excuse the delay. Then our food came out cold and the sauce was dry from sitting on the hot plate for long.
