If I could give more stars for Gabe, I would. I just bought a new house and some things came up on the inspection with regards to my breaker box outside. Gabe took the time to go over my options, educate me on each option, and let me choose what I wanted (usually repairmen will pressure you into their choices). Gabe did the repair within an hour, it looked great. He sent me pictures of the repair, receipt for work, and his contact info again if I needed anything else. This guy is a bit of a con man. He tries to sell you that he is highly experienced and does top notch work. Well I had hired him to do the electrical hookup for my hot tub. The hot tub company had recommended a highly experienced and licensed electrician. However this highly experienced electrician wouldn't be available for 3 weeks so I called Gabe at One Shot Installation. Big Mistake. Gabe claimed high levels of experienced yet when speaking with the hot tub technician, he didn't even understand basic electrical terminology. They were frustrated trying to explain to him what things were. Gabe then told me, he did commercial stuff, and was newer at residential stuff and didn't understand the terminology. Gabe then charged me 3 times the price for parts that a normal electrician would charge me. And Gabe's total cost came out to be $1,000 for something a highly experienced residential electrician would charge $300. I actually hired the highly experienced electrician later when I moved and needed a new hookup for my hot tub. I gave Gabe 2 stars instead of one was because he finally figured out what he needed to do after being frustrated for a few hours. Ironically, Gabe had asked me to multiple times to write a review for him and so I am doing it now. Gabe does come across as a nice person and is personable. Just watch out for his astronomical prices and claims of high levels of experience. Con man supreme. I'm 100% sure Gabe is the guy. There is no mixup because I called based on the reviews here. The phone number is still the same. I didn't realize the prices he charged me were astronomical until much later. I believed him at the time because he told me that's how much the parts cost because he charged labor on top of that. Unless you know the going prices for everything, be wary of Gabe. Initially Gabe said that he would do the job for $300 but once he arrived he kept on saying things needed to be replaced and it would cost more, if I didn't go with him then, I would still owe him a service call for coming out. It ended up costing about $1,000. With all the extra parts Gabe said he needed, I asked the highly experienced electrician how much it would have costed with him. He said $300. read more

A few weeks ago my washer broke on me. As a single woman I was definitely hesitant to have someone come into my house while I was alone but nonetheless, it had to be done! I found my washer through an online ad Gabe had posted and called Gabe about it. He was easy to work with and I went and checked out the washer that day, it was just what I needed. He transported the washer for me (as I did not have the vehicle to do so!) and installed it and made sure it worked well. We hit a slight bump in the road when the washer seemed to have a slight problem with the spin cycle. I called Gabe and he immediately arranged to come out and fix the problem. It was a problem that needed another repair so instead of charging more/not returning calls/or whatever else he COULD have done he gave me a brand new (to me!) washer. He would have come the same day, ended up coming the next day when we asked him to reschedule. My washing machine has overflowed 3 times this month. The first time, my entire downstairs was flooded. (Luckily, I have tile floor and a wet vac.).
