I hadn't even finished saying what I wanted before the server stopped me and said, **"Oh, sorry, we're short-staffed. Please order from the machine,"** and proceeded to turn the machine on. Short-staffed... with **three employees behind the counter and only one other customer behind me.** Okay. And just to make things even better, there was a sign saying **orders would take approximately 15-30 minutes to be ready after being placed.** So apparently they had enough staff to make me wait 15-30 minutes for my drinks, but somehow not enough staff to take my order. The best part? The machine they told me to use had already been **turned off for the night.** So I was told to order from a machine that wasn't even available AND took them just the same amount of time it would've taken to take my order to turn the machine on. At that point, I just left. I already knew exactly what I wanted, and taking my order would have taken maybe a minute. I guess that was asking for too much. Really disappointing because I genuinely wanted to try this place. Unfortunately, I didn't even get the chance to see if the drinks were good because the customer service was enough to make me walk right back out. **Maybe figure out the ordering situation before telling customers to use a machine that's already been turned off.**

Compared to the rest of the tea game in the 626, this was a little disappointing :( Their one tea signature blend milk tea was very watery (as well as my friend's camellia royale). It sort of tasted like milk with a tea-adjacent aftertaste, which is interesting because they used a teapresso machine, which is supposed to enhance the tea flavor more than a regular brew. The jasmine tea jelly had a stronger tea flavor than the actual tea, but was still very minimal, and the texture was fine but not great (no chew/integrity, grass jelly adjacent). However, the service was lovely and the interior is very unique with a constellation ceiling and spacious seating in the back, which is great! Maybe I'd come back after giving them some time to get settled since they only recently opened- the potential is there but the execution is quite lackluster at this point. read more

I'm so glad I stopped by One Tea! The shop has been beautifully remodeled since the previous owner, and it feels really fresh and welcoming. There's even a cozy little back room with star lights on the ceiling and a glowing moon with one seat -- such a fun and unique touch. I ordered the Avocado Mango drink, which was delicious and made with real fresh avocado, and my friend got the Mango Yakult, which they really enjoyed too. More than half the times I go here someone is rude. The boba are either softened to mush or are hard. They're either out of boba, out of straws, or out of lids. There are so many boba places in the SGV I don't see why I need to give this place more chances when I'm spending $8 on a drink with 15% preselected tip option just to deal with an employee that acts like you're interrupting their free time.

It was my 1st boba shop visited and my very 1st boba stamp acquired. Sweet! My first time here to redeem its free drink offer of 1 Green Milk Tea with boba. Thanks Nest Tea House! This no frills boba shop is located on Las Tunas Drive in the Arcadia Center Mall. Parking can be found throughout the plaza in the front, back, and around the building. You'll need to drive in a little bit to see Nest Tea House at the back corner end of building. Interior space was clean and has lots of seating. One all gender restroom for customer use only. I was greeted with a smile upon entry. The young lady who took my order was super sweet, friendly, and nice. Very patient and helpful in answering my questions. I asked for no ice on all 4 drinks. She offered me a cup of ice for my drink since I may drink my drink on the road. So very thoughtful and kind of her. Thank you Natalie for the exceptional above and beyond service! It felt cozy and relaxing, and I can see it being a nice place to sit down, study, or get some work done. Overall, I enjoyed my visit and I'm glad I got to try Nest Tea House through the passport. Honestly really good, light and refreshing without being too sweet. The jelly was a nice touch. Would come back for the drinks at an earlier time. BUT. If you are a girl and you plan on hanging out in the parking lot after, please be aware of one of the security guards. We were sitting and talking in the parking lot almost 2 hours after Au79 had already closed for the night. Around 11:40 PM on a Friday night, a guard on a golf cart parked two spots away from my car and spent the next 17 minutes taking multiple photos of only my car on every lap he made through the lot. There were at least 10 other cars and a group of men right behind us that he completely ignored. He kept circling back and lingering near us specifically. When my friend got out of the car to confront him, all he said was it was "for work." No further explanation. He did not photograph any other vehicle the entire time. Friday nights are when most people are out, so if you are planning a late night here with your girls, just be aware. He appeared to be Hispanic with slightly dark skin and long dark hair up to his chest, patrolling on a golf cart. I am posting this here because I want Au79 to be aware of what is happening in their parking lot, and I want other girls to know before they plan a late night hang here. We felt targeted and unsafe.
