UPDATE: THESE GUYS DO NOT HAVE COMMERCIAL INSURANCE. DO NOT USE THEM. THEY OFFERED ME $72 IN WRITING FOR ALL THREE OF MY BROKEN TVs AND REFUSED TO COOPERATE WITH MY INSURANCE COMPANY. THEY DID NOT PROVIDE INSURANCE INFORMATION FOR US TO MAKE OUR OWN CLAIM. THEY CLAIM I SIGNED INSURANCE STUFF. THE DRIVER ROCKY TOLD ME TO SIGN TO SIGNIFY THAT THEY WERE STARTING AT 10:20 AND VERY QUICKLY TOOK AWAY THE CLIPBOARD. INSURANCE WAS NEVER DISCUSSED. THEY SAID THEY WOULD MAKE IT RIGHT AND REPLACE ALL THREE TVS. THEY ARE LIARS RUNNING A SHADY BUSINESS. DO NOT USE THEM BY ANY MEANS. SEE YOU IN COURT. I've never been so disappointed in service in my life. Everything was great until they had to make one final trip to get my liquor cabinet, dining room table, and three TVs. I thought to myself, "this is it, it's finally over. The move is done and I can move on with my life." HA. For whatever reason, they didn't use TV boxes to move my televisions. I own a 65" Sony 4K, a 55" Sony 4K, and a 50" Samsung LED. You can pick out anyone who knows me - or has known me for any amount of time, really - I take incredible care of my things. ESPECIALLY my electronics, because, well, I work in tech. Upon them unwrapping my 65", I notice something wrong in the corner. It looks like tape from afar. I ask what's on the corner of my TV. One of the helpers says "oh, it must be from the blanket." Upon further inspection, there was absolutely no doubt in anyone's mind that they definitely dropped my TV. Look at the pictures and see for yourself. After they made their insurance claim, I paid them and they said the other TVs looked fine. I left to stay with someone and didn't return until Friday early afternoon (the move was completed Wednesday night). I go into my bedroom, and look down at my 55" Sony, and lone behold, there's a crack in the upper right hand corner of the frame, and it webs all the way across to the left, and down the right side. Messed up part? There's handprints where the damage is. I look at the Samsung. I think to myself, "surely they couldn't break all three TVs." I was wrong. They broke that, too. Similar crack in the upper left, and it webbed all the way across. Nobody touched these TVs. The one in the other room wasn't touched, and I wasn't in my bedroom until Friday to see. There are multiple witnesses that can attest to this. I email them immediately. No response. Call the manager. Ghosted. On Thursday, the manager called me and said "insurance only covers $0.60 per pound so you won't get much through them." Excuse me? Why don't you have commercial insurance for your movers? Then he tells me he'll find me a used one. What? My TVs were in mint condition. After talking to a random customer service rep, Annette, on Friday, the manager calls me back. He offers me a "used TV for $950 that's the same model, but has a scratch on the screen." My TV didn't have a scratch on it before, so why should it now? I offered a brand new discounted TV that would be the same price. I offered the discounted options so many times I lost count. I kept getting the runaround. The manager called me AGAIN, and told me he spoke to the movers and that they "hit a speed bump at full speed." What? So all the TVs were strapped together? They weren't secured? This is ridiculous. To really rub salt into the already open, gushing wound, the driver, Rocky, called me. He tells me there's no way this could happen. He's essentially calling me a liar. Why would I lie about this? Why would I make a big deal about this if it didn't happen? He then - I kid you not - tried to offer me "TVs in his storage unit" because, you know, "customers give me a bunch of stuff." Why would I take random used TVs to replace my TVs that were in mint condition?? I have the receipts. It's nearly $3800 in equipment. I have given them until end of day Monday to give me a resolve in the situation. If they don't, I will be taking them to court. I've already spoken to my attorney about how to go about this, and I will not stop until justice is served, and my equipment is replaced to my standards, or I'm given then monetary equivalent. Gave them a shot even though they didn't have any reviews to start because they were willing to come last minute (my fault on scheduling) and they had awesome rates. They were highly communicative during the whole process from start to finish and the guys I had Bob and Atif were such humble guys. They were extremely careful and notified me of any ways to speed up the process or where we can save time or how they were going to pack things up. I got Cesar and Fred yesterday to help me move to my new apartment and I must say that the two guys that came were so nice and hard working, they were quick too. I felt they were working at 150% just because i would see them towards the end after all the hard work still pulling things up the stairs full force and never complaining if anything they made our move so much easier! They showed up on time, very communicative, very response every time I would tell them to do something or get it first they were on top of it. I believe their prices are fair and if anything they deserve more. People have to be realistic with the time it will take to move, especially if you have lots and lots of things like us and so I had a predicted time frame that they did not go beyond and finished on time. I was so stressed before our move, but once I saw how Cesar and Fred were taking good care of everything, I was able to sit back and relax. UPDATE: After my horrible experience using this service I receive a call asking me to take down my review for a $50 gift card. Before hiring them I received many quotes for my 2bdm move saying it would be between 3-4 hours with 3 guys working. It took them 9 hours. They ridiculed me, made fun of me, took an hour break (that I had to pay for) and threatened to take my belongings. This was by far one of the worst moving experiences I have had. There is many other professional companies to choose from that will not cost $1300. A waste of money. Horrible experience. read more

This company goes above and beyond! I was very comfortable with the three movers; they are professional, efficient, and friendly. I had a situation where I moved to does not allow moving trucks after 5 pm; I did not know this. So Tim contacted his manager, and they let my stuff stay in the back of the truck and returned with it the following day. The alternative was to return to the old house and unpack the truck. Tim sacrificed his day off to do this for us, even though his parents were flying in. Siba, the office manager was always available to answer any questions. I am so grateful to this company. Robert and Rocky were AMAZING. Moving is never fun but moving with LA Moving Company made it so much better. They were diligent and careful - nothing was broken, everything was carefully wrapped, and we got to use their wardrobe boxes for free, which made moving our clothes a cinch. Furniture was quickly re-assembled at our new place and they even helped us lay down a new rug that we just bought (and they subsequently made sure to take of their shoes when moving things onto the rug, which I really thought was above and beyond). I am honored to give LA Moving Company a review. I took a while to do this, considering they moved me on May 30, 2018; but I did just move. Bob came in a day before to rescue me, so that was awesome in itself. He didn't jack up the price even though he knew I had to be out of my place by the next day. His prices were so reasonable compared to other quotes I received. His movers, Esa and Shamo, arrived punctually and immediately started to wrap the furniture and move the boxes. I was soooo happy because they placed the boxes in the position they needed to be: heavy on the bottom and fragile to the side or on top. What made me the happiest is that many of the boxes had to be in a particular order as I needed to have immediate access to some. Esa and Shamo also took initiative, offering me recommendations, such as clothing boxes to hang my clothes--boxes I was not paying for. The really hard part came later when two storage spaces had to be emptied. They did not flinch and made me feel so much at ease, gently telling me that they would take care of things. The real test was when they got to my new house. I had asked Bob to let the movers know that I would be giving a lot of detailed direction, especially on how to situate about 50 bankers' boxes. Esa and Shamo took my direction without the slightest frown or complaint. I was in awe and couldn't believe my luck. Esa and Shamo worked sooo hard. They didn't even want to take breaks for water, and the job took about 10 hours. I had to force them to accept water I went out and bought for them because they didn't want to walk two blocks to the store. They also worked very well together--no bickering or hostility, which also kept tension away from me. At the end when we went over the contract and totaled the cost, Esa was so professional and at ease. There were no games or attempts to outsmart me, by even ignoring the initial deposit. From the booking of the job through the hard labor and the tallying of the amount due and the counting of the money paid, there was a total sense of professionalism and attention to my needs and allaying a lot of the tension that can build up when putting the physical act of moving one's belongings into the hands of strangers. I am especially grateful for the hard work of Esa and Shamo, for their care for my belongings, but more so for making me feel at ease throughout the process. Communication with Bob was on par. He's responsive and communicative. Pricing is not the lowest out there, but reasonable. I had no major damages to my furniture nor items as the 2 man crew handled my items with care. One thing that irked me though was that several of my boxes were moved and placed upside down! Everything in those boxes were in shambles and spilled all over making it difficult to unpack. Bob and his partner worked as fast as they could but eventually took 5 hours total for my move. I definitely went over my anticipated budget, but I could tell they were working hard especially since it was a hot day in July. We had a special project to ship the fine painting art pieces from home to the gallery. I was referred to LA Moving company, got in touch with them, explained that the art pieces have been just painted, so extra attention and care have to be given. It was a short notice, however the company found the truck we needed and the next day they came the exact time we agreed on, arranged the paintings safely not to mess up with the freshly coated oil paint. Terrific company and amazing moving service. They came right when they said they were going to, were very professional and were more than happy to stay as long as needed to finish the job. I moved from an apartment to a condo by the beach with very poor access for things like a sofa and bed frame et cetera. They were able to use ropes and hoist equipment up through the balcony 30 ft in the air. I thought I shot myself in the foot with my sectional purchase / my bed frame but thanks to them everything is in the house and looking great. I highly recommend this company and service to anyone looking to move. They worked very hard, took No Breaks and barely took me up on my offer for water. Very professional and fast. I had a very good experience with this company. My movers, David and Bob, were true professionals. They worked efficiently and did not waste time. They were also very friendly and easy-going. The prices were reasonable and on the lower end compared to some of the other quotes that I got. I appreciated the fact that there wasn't any hidden fees. I was provided an all-in hourly rate. Hi , I usually don't write reviews but I decided since experience was not as I had thought it would be . I just felt the guys were inexperienced and took a long time to move the stuff around . It took them over 7 hours For a studio which is a lot . I had told them that my couch was huge and the legs need to come off before they take it out but they decided to try any ways and ended up wasting a lot of time . Then finally when they did decide that it's not going to work , they went and got a screw driver to start removing the legs . Upon asking why aren't they using a drill to save time , they finally get the drill but it is not charged so then they leave it out for charging . They do not wrap my couch in any film As it is white in color and just shove it out of the door and granted it is not the cleanest as it has had its fair share of usage but it got even dirtier by the time it arrived at my new place . Then they come and tell me that they left the legs at my old apartment and if they want it to be attached , I have to go get it before they leave as it is my fault that they left the legs at my old place . Then they tell me upon further enquirer that they also left a bulb at my old place and it was my job to have made sure I picked up everything . Now I have to put the legs myself even though I am paying over 500$ for the whole thing . One of the guys ended up dropping one of my boxes . Luckily , there was no damage. My initial communication was very prompt and the initial quote was reasonable which is why I am giving 3 star . I wouldn't necessarily recommend it again . I just felt that efficiency was not the best there were two many hiccups .i read more

These guys are incredible. They were fast, careful and really nice. They do everything they can to accommodate the customer. They even put together a shed for me in the back of my new home. They are also very affordable and the price includes EVERYTHING. No extras, no surprises. I highly recommend them! The only problem was our bed was not put together exactly right and we will probably have to hire someone else to fix it so make sure to double check everything. This company was awesome! Let me start by saying I hadnt moved in 10 years and was wayyy off on my estimate of boxes and how long this move would take. These guys showed up on time after I had to ask them to postpone my move time...which they so graciously accomodated, and got to work. They had to do 2truck loads. Lucky for all of us I only moved about 2.5 miles away. There were 3 movers and they were awesome!!! My furniture is super old but they treated it like new. My cousin watched them work and wished she would have used them a few months prior. We went over in time a few hours but they were WORKING HARD!!! There was no lagging on their part. I had no problem paying the extra money because they earned it, i only wish I could have tipped them more !!! I highly recommend this company. read more

Honestly, it's the best moving experience we've had so far. They showed up on time, diligently wrapped our furniture, moved quickly, and were super kind. Had such a great experience with LA Moving Company! I requested a quote the day before my move and got a response from Bob instantly.  I was in a rush and stressed out because I had so much stuff to still pack and less than 24 hours to move!  Bob was very nice and professional and answered all my questions.  The day of the move, I got a phone 30 minutes before to let me know the movers were on their way.  I realized I needed more boxes and tape because I forgot to finish packing the kitchen!  Arif and Shamo showed up on time with smiles on their faces and ready to help in any way!  I was in a panic and stressed out and they made everything better!  They had all the supplies I needed.  They were very quick and efficient and took great care with my stuff.  They kept offering to help with whatever I needed!  Wow!  It was really VIP service!  Even after moving for 4 hours in the hot weather, they were still very nice and kept offering to help when they saw me struggling!  The pricing was exactly as Bob said it would be so no surprises and I paid in cash and it saved me more money!  I will definitely be calling them for me or all my family and friends moving needs! read more

Fred & Shamo were amazing! They call about an half hour beforehand and let me know what time they would be there. They showed up at our house on time and quickly when to work. They came with all the supplies to wrap up furniture and blankets for tv. Then came out these "magic boxes," at least that's what my girlfriend called them. Boxes were wardrobe boxes but Fred & Shamo used them to make trips easier to pack up our stuff to move to their truck. This was the first time I've used a moving company and I'll admit that I was a little nervous, but I'm very happy that these guys. I'll definitely recommend them to all our friends. I had Ilya and his crew move my 3 bedroom house for me a week ago. They were prompt and professional and friendly. I had other moving companies tell me that it was going to be a 2 day job and literally quote me double the amount that LA Moving Company did. Ilya and crew packed up everything, drove 10 miles (that's about 30-45 mins in LA) and placed everything into the new house in 9 hours. Everything is here, nothing is missing and nothing is broken.
