I thought our meals was extremely delicious!!! There was a bit of a wait for our food, but I'm sure it was because the food was cooked to order. The wait was definitely worth it!!! The BBQ mix is definitely a meat lover's favorite. I love the galbi rib meat the most, but the flavoring of the chicken and beef is still super delicious. I'm not a big fan of the macaroni but my girlfriend loves it. The rice was plentiful and perfect amount to the meat. I enjoyed the spam musubis as well!!! Not too sweet, and had a mix of salty and sweet. The spam with the rice and seaweed was yummmyy. Very delighted by our experience here and the tables and interior was very clean and modern. Hawaiian versions of pop music played when we ate here. Clean up is easy since our food comes in trays and dealing with leftovers as well because the hot food comes in plastic boxes.

Stopped by this location of Ono Hawaiian BBQ for a quick dinner and I enjoyed my experience and food overall. The decor, which I believe is the same at every location, was very interesting and made for good island ambiance. The food was absolutely delicious and while it did take a little while to come out, it was freshly prepared, hot, and came with no issues. Workers were kind and helpful in answering questions about the menu as there are a lot of different options. The dining area could've used some tidying but great for a satisfying meal!

Consistent food! Great portions! Great service! Good protein, with salad and carbs just a little bit of everything. Very tasty. I don't know about the ambience, but I've ordered from a bunch of different ones and the food is consistently great.

2025/06/10 Update: I ordered my usual favorite BBQ Mix (rice only), everything was delicious as usual except for the chicken, it was somewhat overcooked, it tasted different. The dining area was kept clean, service was friendly and professional.

This is the worst Ono Hawaiian BBQ ever. False advertising and rude customer service. They advertise lilo and stitch, therefore, I ordered the food online and when I went to pick up. They said they don't have any of the items. So why are you advertising and you can put out of stock on your website. In addition, the rudest cashier ever gave me attitude and gave her permission to insult me. I am talking to her and she assumed I am deaf, even if I am deaf you don't have the right to discriminate against me. She started writing down whatever she was saying. First of all, if I am deaf how am I communicating with you. The worst part is that she didn't give me the water I paid for. I checked my bag and saw no water bottle in my bag. I went to her and ask for my water she pointed to the cooler and said grab it. First of all, it is your job to put in a bag. What if I drove and didn't notice it. Second of all they didn't give me Apple sauce that comes with the food. I asked her for Apple sauce she said we don't have when I was picking up my food she could have told me they are out . Not telling me when I told you my Apple sauce is missing. Please check your orders before Leaving the store, since this store seems to be stealing from customers. She didn't even apologize or offer to refund for the missing items. This is my last time going any Ono locations. I will take my business somewhere that doesn't assume that customers are disabled and don't discriminate. Train your staff customer service and how to talk to customers.

We went for lunch on a very hot summer day. The air conditioning is not too cold that day. There's several seating areas available nice decor chill vibes music is a bit loud. Been a while since we ate in Ono but the food is spot on for the value. The chicken and pork chop cook right, flavorful and tastes good it comes with macaroni and salad as sides. Overall, we had a great shared meal coz' the serving per order is good for sharing. My Mom really likes their rice. They even have teriyaki or hot sauce dispenser which is a nice convenience to customer experience.

#latepost Would give 3.5 stars but couldn't... therefore 4 stars were given Stopped by for lunch a few days ago. I was craving for my favorite short ribs... but when I saw this lava shrimp menu, I just had to try it! It was NOT spicy at all! It wasn't that great as I thought it would be.. but OK enough to satisfy my hunger and curiosity! A bit pricy & somewhat small portion $12.36 for Lava Shrimp mini meal (tips not included) Place was clean & organized. Staff was friendly. Plenty of items for kids. Plenty of free parking spaces. Accessible by guests on wheelchairs.

Had a taste for some Hawaiian surf and turf that was affordable so I decided to stop by Ono for dinner. The lady that took my order said they didn't have surf and turf meals and after a quick chuckle, I explained to her what it meant and she thanked me for learning something new lol. I ordered a three meat combo plate with island fried shrimp, white fish and chicken katsu with white rice and macaroni salad. It was a lot of food, I was stuffed.Though it was all delicious, I had to deduct one star for the fish because it was super greasy. Other than that, service was super quick, the place was clean and the service was with a smile. I will be back.

Ono Hawaiian BBQ came through big time! Ordered the meat combo for takeout, and wow. Those short ribs? Perfectly tender, packed with flavor, and so easy to chew...just how they should be. The rest of the meats were solid too, all cooked just right. Honestly, it brought me back to the flavors I had in Hawaii. Simple, delicious, and totally worth it!

Really really busy on a Saturday afternoon so I highly recommend ordering online or calling in; although the staff had a very difficult time taking our order. It wasn't even a complicated one so that was...interesting. We were able to snag a table and ate there. The food was delicious and as always the macaroni salad was my favorite. I also really enjoy the Hawaiian Sun juices they serve.

Warm greeting, excellent customer service, Linda was helpful, kind, and so welcoming. The food was fresh, delicious, nice and hot! I got the beef and katsu that came with macaroni salad, rice and vegetables. All were delicious. A great experience. Thank you!

Will never be the same as eating back home on the islands. Aunty Maile's comes close though. Been here a few times since they moved from the spot over on Crenshaw. I like it here. More parking. Only problem is if you're going in the afternoon, sometimes it's a bitch to make the left turn into the parking lot because of all the traffic. Walk in. Place your order, pay and then grab a seat. Indoors or out. Someone brings your order to you. Not really table side service. But the staff is friendly. Nice - but usually busy so they don't really talk story. Yesterday's visit, I picked up the two item combo and all Mac Salad (no rice). The Kalbi was good but the portion size was on the small side. The Chicken Katsu was a little dry. Not so much that I didn't eat it. And the Mac Salad - for my taste, I like it made with more mayo. I like it to the point that people's arteries start to clog just watching it being made. Anyway, my family is going back home in a few days I got a craving after they asked me to take them to LAX. So, after work, I went and got my fix. Like I said before - it's not the same as if I was back home but for Hawaiian style food in the LA area, this is my favorite.

The Hawaiian barbecue chicken was incredibly juicy, tender, and full of flavor without being dry at all. The real star of the meal, though, was the short ribs. They were unbelievably tender, perfectly seasoned, and practically fell apart with every bite. Every part of the meal was cooked with care, and you could taste the quality in every dish. Over the years I've gotten take-out here but have also done dine-in. It seems they mostly do catering now, because they have very short business hours for the public. Their website says their dining room is closed, but the employee says it's open Thurs and Fri. Nevertheless, I followed the website's info and ordered pick up. Here's what I ordered: 1) Komai's Big Breakfast. Komai was Aloha's original chef. Two eggs with all the meats: Portuguese sausage, Spam, Vienna sausage, corned beef hash plus 2 scoops of rice and a Hawaiian roll. No surprises here, very nice. 2) Kal B Chicken plate lunch. Chicken marinated in the same sauce as the more familiar kalbi beef short ribs, with rice and mac salad. The chicken did not seem to take up the marinade as well as beef, so it was tasty but on the dry side. I'd probably give their chicken teriyaki a go next time. The mac salad was fine, did have potatoes. 3) Spam musubi. Again no surprises, classic 4) ordered a side of char siu, but it was not available. A nice go-to if you're hankering for classic Hawaiian on a Thurs or Fri.
