Do not order from here to cater your event or party. I wanted to order for 60 people. I spoke to a very nice girl who helped me with my order. I ordered one LARGE tray of Teriyaki Chicken, one LARGE BBQ Beef, and one large tray of macaroni salad. I also had one large tray of white rice from elsewhere. Each large tray contains 45-50 servings. I spoke to the cashier who was helping me with my order, and she confidently stated that I would have enough food for our event. She even showed me the LARGE trays and "yes, these are pretty big." When I opened the trays before our event, I knew right away that we would NOT have enough food. The trays were NOT full of meat, but were full of CABBAGE. The trays contained about 40% cabbage, 60% meat. As we served, we had to give a minimal amount of meat in order to ensure that everyone had food. At the end of serving, the last person to receive food, took the last bit of chicken and beef. There was not enough food for staff, so we had to order a pizza. I contacted corporate to inform them of my concern. The district manager contacted me and put me at fault for barely having enough food. She said "The trays contain 45-50 servings, but we recommend 2 servings per person." I did not see this statement anywhere when ordering, nor did the cashier tell me of this information. She ensured me that I would have enough food. I will not cater from here ever again. I walked in at 8:36 the chef said I already closed the grill. So rude and so in a rush to close that they didn't even want to talk to me. They kitchen staff wasn't even wearing their mask. I have ordered Chicken Katsu many time in my life to know that the meal comes with Katsu dipping sauce. Well they screwed me with this meal as they missed the Katsu sauce on two orders. Came here for lunch over the weekend. We used a coupon and got a free chicken meal. Score. Service was super friendly. Food took a bit to prepare, but that means it's made fresh to order, which I like. The place is super clean, and they have all the condiments you may want. The chicken meal was very good. Perfectly cooked and seasoned, with tasty perfectly cooked rice, and delicious Hawaiian macaroni salad (what do they put in it to make it so good??). The Beef short ribs were a huge disappointment. They were so fatty that at least half of the ribs were chunks of straight up fat which I tried to cut off, and the pieces that looked like meat had so many ribbons of fat that it tasted like straight fat with more texture. I couldn't even eat half of it and had a stomach ache after. My rice and macaroni salad were superb though. I'd definitely come back, but would stay clear of the fatty beef ribs, and stick to chicken or other options. Worth another try, but this visit was mixed. read more

The drive-through does not take orders for Island whitefish which they tell you once you're already in the drive-through there's four cars ahead of you 3 cars in back of you so that you're stuck in the drive-through for 25 minutes for no reason they won't place the order until you drive around and walk inside because they need was called a "ticket" because it takes 10 minutes to make fish so it backs up the drive-through. I'm super upset with the lack of Customer Service!! I could choose anywhere to eat lunch but today I choose your establishment given the circumstances with your drive-through service you should make accommodations for your customers trying to order a single menu item - Island White Fish. I spent a lot of money on the food that I order. They don't give you any boxes to transport the food in. Luckily I had one box in the trunk of my car. Then I asked for some serving utensils, and the young B said they don't give none out. I ordered a tray of Spam Musubi and we found Silica gel beads inside. For those that don't know what that is, its little packets that you find in dried food packages. And those packages state, "DO NOT EAT". Me, my daughter and my niece found this in each one of ours. This was the first time I had been to an Ono Hawaiian BBQ so I ordered the #44. It had beef, chicken, and chicken katsu. The sides were white rice and macaroni salad. Based on the reviews, I was expecting the macaroni salad to be phenomenal. Instead it was bland and tasted mostly of mayo. The white rice was sticky but good. All of the meats were flavorful, but I despise gristle. All of the cuts were fatty and the beef in particular was full of hard, inedible bits. Not my favorite place. read more

I've gone to Ono's many times but I've never seen this before until tonight. I ordered the spam masubi and the rice to spam ratio was completely off. It was sloppy and the seaweed wasn't even closed off from the amount of rice that was in it. Also, I asked for the veggies to just put broccoli but instead I received the opposite. On top of that, one plate of katsu had a good amount of chicken while the other lacked, it looked like a mini meal.
