Apparently the high standards that made us buy from them several times took a crash and proved they are quite capable to disappoint to the point of no return. I have zero respect for a business that takes my money and delivers a very bad quality of food. Consistency of good quality is what distinguishes a good place from the sub par ones. Meat old, bottom of the pan, chewy non edible fat, saturated to the point of no return with their sauce, 50% at least tossed to the trash, terrible beef, and can guaranteed they knew what they were serving all along. Very clean and well maintained location. Deja was my cashier and had to most professional and happy disposition! Deja was very accommodating to special requests and to all customers in line and ordering. They bring the food to your table which is a nice touch from other locations. The restroom was very clean. The food at this place hasn't changed. It is fantastic. However, literally every time I call I get, "Can I put you on hold, please?" I'm hopeful that they'll hire more employees or find another way to alleviate some of the workload on the current employees. I really don't believe that the phone order holds have anything to do with incompetence on the behalf of the employees as every time I walk in they seem to be working hard and doing their best to keep up. Manifee location was good before, they served big portion of sliced beef meat, but my last two purchased, I'm done to this Manifee location of Ono Hawaiian BBQ. Their prices went up & served small pieces of meat (not decent sliced), mostly hard fats of meat (they should trimmed)it's unhealthy for customers to eat those fats, WHERE'S THE REAL BEEF MEAT GO??? Came for a quick stop on the way home and really liked all we got! The portions were huge and could really be shared between two people. The mini meal was a perfect size for one person. The restaurant was very clean and modern and all the staff working were friendly. The food did take a while to come out even though the restaurant was not crowded. She has a great attitude and great customer service , she greeted everyone that came in with a smile and Aloha. I've come to this location several times for lunch when I'm working and the food reminded me of home. This time I come here with my wife and the Kalau pig (pork) Don't taste the same. Bbq chicken was too salty. Something changed? I usually get rice and Mac salad but I got green salad with some kind of suace on it. I didn't ask for that salad. Musubi doesn't taste or reminds my of local food from Hawaii. Hopefully it's not a corporate wide change because ono hawaiian bbq to me "was" the most authentic tasting food. read more

I'm pretty impressed with this place. I love Hawaiian BBQ places so the fact that this opened up, I'm pretty happy. I was craving the short ribs and it hit the spot with some macaroni salad, white rice and cole slaw. The portions are generous to the point where I had to take it home. My kids got the spam musubi, it comes in two and they're large so my kids were full with one each. My husband got the seafood plate that had chicken in it too? But it had shrimp, white fish, and crab wontons. He loved his plate as well. We all left pretty happy and great leftovers as well. I may be a regular here from now on! read more

What a deal we got here! I am a big water and couldn't even finish the entire plate! I ordered the Hawaiian BBQ Mixed that has every meat with stir-fired veggies. The Korean BBQ Beef Ribs were so great! We love it so much! The chicken was still juicy and good. It was cooked just well! The only thing need to improve is that the owner might need to use a bigger box or other way to put the food in as it just ruins the beauty of the food! I placed an order to go since I walked in the door 12 minutes prior to closing. I ordered the vegetable soup (no one seemed to know the exact ingredients in the soup) One of the girls recommended the seafood plate which includes white fish, BBQ chicken, (not seafood but Ill take it) shrimp, rice, macaroni salad and one other side- the crab wonton things. We got our food in a timely manner and they included all the goodies like place settings and different sauces, I appreciate gestures like that :) Hopefully everything tastes as good as it smells. read more

Went here today to place an order for 6 people. Came in before they closed and while I was in the process of placing the orders, I was already 4 orders in, a lady walks up to the cook and talks to him. Then walked up to the lady working the register, and then proceeds to say, they can no longer take the order because they are closed. I came in before they were closed and I even called to make sure I could still come in and place an order. When I called, I was told that I couldn't place the order I've the phone but to come in instead to place it, which is exactly what I did. Too bad. They missed out on a lot of money. read more

The customer service was the horrible. I came and ordered food for my family and when my number was called Reyna said all the items I ordered where inside the bag. After arriving home and taking the items out, I noticed that the spam Musubi and side of steamed rice was not there. I called and Reyna answered the phone and did say that she forgot to put the items in the bag. I requested a refund for the items I paid for and was told to come back to the store. I just asked for a refund and was denied to receive a refund and was told to come back to get my items. I asked for them to deliver since this was their mistake. Reyna refused to do either and said I would have to come back to the store. I'm sorry, but I don't think any customer should have to drive back to the store for a refund. As we have the technology to do this over over the phone. If anything they could of offered a full refund. Reyna refused to offer any assistance with this and did not take responsibility for a mistake. With that being said I have disputed the charges. read more

Opening day: The launch appeared to be going pretty smoothly when I arrived (around 1:15pm) considering the large amount of customers. The employees handled it well, and the food came out relatively quick. The Food: I kept it simple for my first visit here, a BBQ chicken plate. I've had countless dozens of chicken plates from numerous Hawaiian BBQ places over the years, so I knew exactly what to expect and how to correctly gauge the correct flavor of this style of food. I can say that Ono has nailed the recipe perfectly. This is top-tier Hawaiian BBQ. The chicken flavor was great and was marinated perfectly. The rice had the perfect amount of moisture, so it was sticky but not overly so. The macaroni was great as well. Even the cabbage, which is the only part of chicken plates that I don't particularly care about, is better than average. This chicken plate is easily 5 stars. I will post a review update after my second visit, which I plan on getting the mix plate. I will have an impression on the beef and and ribs then. read more

I got the barbecue beef and they gave me 75 percent cabbage and 25 percent beef.The beef was extremely dry and not good at all. Although the food is good, the macaroni taste just like how Hawaii makes it, I wish they had Aloha Shoyu Sauce instead of whatever else brand of shoyu sauce this place uses. They have really bad timing on cooking the food. I honestly struggle every time I come here. But it's the only one near my area. They need to open up more locations because they are slow!!!! I ordered In front of a lot of people and I still left 15 min after everyone. Wish they could hire more staff and help cook in the back because it don't look like they can handle it.
