I have never been able to eat at another poke place after trying Ono Poke! Food - I am a vegetarian and really enjoy their tofu poke bowls. They have a lot of toppings to choose from and certainly do not skimp on it! The regular size portion typically results in two meals for me. The vegetable toppings taste very fresh and their sauces are super savory and delicious! Service - as you enter the restaurant, all you have to do is pick up a piece of paper/pen and check off what you want in your bowl. Once you are done, you hand off the paper and your bowl starts to be prepared. Service is incredibly fast and efficient! Ambiance - the restaurant has plenty of seating and is pretty clean. It looks like most people tend to carry out, so I don't suspect there being much competition for seating. I am so sad I didn't get to take more pictures. This is a family owed place. Location isn't as great, but you won't come across it unless you're looking for a poke/boba place in the hurst area. This is my second time trying it, and honestly I loved both times. As I mentioned I'm as i didn't get to take pictures. Their boba is so good the boba pearls are fresh and the milk tea is refreshing and aromatic. The poke bowls they offer for the price is a fair amount and the fish is fresh! For a fast, easy, quick meal, this is the spot. I took my boyfriend the second time around he loved it! The owner husband/wife are very friendly and helpful. If you don't know what you what they will guide you through the menu, and they will not charge for extra condiments or items that you need after ordering. The food is good overall! We will definitely go back, and when we do I promise better pictures ha-ha. We were just super hungry I didn't get enough pictures. Takoyaki were dry balls, pork buns had poor meat to bun ratio and tasted like it was diced curry meat? Ordered online and my order was ready on time for pickup. I didn't spend but a few seconds indoors but they look to have ample seating and easy parking. The poke was ok, 3stars. I built my own bowl with spicy mayo and I wish I didn't- it was soaked in the sauce. Way too much sauce for the product. I had the spicy salmon for protein. I was expecting salmon chunks but it was like a tuna salad mesh in look and texture, wish it was freshly cut salmon, I would never had ordered if I new it was a scoop concoction. Lastly, because I do like spicy the jalapeños had zero flavor, but they were crunchy, as was the lettuce and the ginger was good. So 3 stars for the poke bowel but adding another star for the miso soup. It was really tasty and satisfying, highly recommend adding to your meal. Wish I would have ordered in person so I could halt the heavy sauce and choose another fish. I'll give this place another try sometime. read more

This was my favorite restaurant, but I won't be going anymore. My family came here every Friday for years and got poke. The original owners were super nice and the ingredients were super fresh. They closed for a remodel and reopened with new management. The quality instantly dropped, their cucumbers were super bitter three times in a row, the zoodles are sad. They also removed some of our favorite items from the menu (eg. fish flakes, ono mayo). The portion size is abysmal for the inflated price. The last time we went, it was midday and the till wasn't even open. It took 2 employees to open it and even so they only had three $5 bills in two different sections? We won't be back and are on the hunt for a new poke place. Super heartbroken. read more

This is my second time here. It's pretty good. I wouldn't say it's "excellent" but it's the only poke place near me. The rice was a little undercooked both times. It makes for an interesting texture, but I do wish it was just a wee bit less stiff. The ingredients are fine, salmon is good and an incredibly small scoop, maybe has a small metallic aftertaste. The "crab" is good, sushi rolls have really advanced my taste for fake crab. lol The spicy mayo... I'm on the fence about it. I don't know if they make it themselves. If they do, maybe I don't like the mayo brand they use. If it's store bought, maybe I don't love the base they use. I still get it, but it's not as good as others I've had. What a pleasant surprise. I tried my first poke bowl last week and was happy to see that we had a poke bowl place nearby! I seriously can't believe we haven't had one of these before considering the amount of sushi we have eaten and love. Came here because of the reviews and I would agree with most of them. The food is fresh. The people were friendly and helpful (even kind when we walked in 30 mins to close). The restaurant is clean. And overall the concept is fun! After we sat down to eat, we were brought some complimentary miso soup which was nice. Our 8 year old was with us and are both of them! The guy came back to check on our food and also to tell us they had kids options (I think he said 5.95- they aren't listed on the menu) which include a protein and 3 mix ins I believe. They also have chicken for the kiddos that do not like raw fish. We will definitely come back here and bring our other boys. It was relatively inexpensive for a sushi bowl and for a family of 5- we can get away with under $50 for a taste of sushi! Way to go! read more

I had a great lunch today from Ono Poke. Placed my order online directly from the Yelp app. It was done quickly and efficiently (although the grub hub update didn't show it even when it was done). The food was super tasty. I got a regular build your own poke bowl and used the sushirito option which was kind of like a hand roll in a burrito format! The regular size comes with two scoops of protein, so I ended up getting tuna and spicy tuna, added avocado, got the house miso sauce along with some crispy wontons for some crunch. It was wonderful and such a light and refreshing lunch option! I was going to try a matcha milk too but deleted it from the order just before and should have tried it! When I'm craving sushi but don't want to spend too much, a sushirrito does the job. I've ordered to go from here twice and it was solid. It's not the best I've ever had, but definitely satisfies my cravings. I normally order my sushirrito with spicy tuna, spicy salmon, cucumber, seaweed salad, masago, red onions, crunchy garlic, crunchy onions, and top it off with their spicy mayo and spicy garlic sauce. Every bite is refreshing and packs huge flavor combinations. For $10, I can't complain! Ever since COVID-19, they don't let you dine in. They do have tables outside if you want to sit and eat there. This is one of my favorite poke places in the mid-cities area! The ingredients always taste fresh and whatever combo I get it tastes delicious. I just tried a build-your-own bowl with zucchini noodles and that may be my new favorite base. So so good. The only advice I would give, if you order to go, is to pace yourself with pouring the sauce. They are very generous with the amount and when I've used all of it I usually find it to be too much. I have to say I'm pleasantly shocked! After a dreadful visit to the DPS, I was craving poke so I pulled up to the nearest poke joint after calling to place an order. As I approached the door I noticed they are definitely being cautious, only handing out orders at the door. There was even hand sanitizer out there for customers. I was expecting it to just taste like any other mediocre poke bowl I've tried elsewhere but I was wrong! Everything and I mean EVERYTHING was so fresh. From the rice, to the avocado, all of it. For my proteins I chose Cajun tuna and spicy salmon. It was both delicious. The tuna came in slices which was new to me but it was so good. I loved that they did not skimp out on the masago. I suggest getting the crispy garlic and onion on top, it just made the bowl even better! The price is pretty fair as well. $8 for a regular & $10.99 for a large. Only thing that bothers me is how little avocado you get. I love avocado so I would gladly pay $1 for some but I feel like they could put some more in there. I was given really thin slices of probably 1/4 of an avocado. But other than that everything was perfect to me! There were only two of them working and we waited 35 minutes for our food to come out and on top of that, we had to wait another 10 minutes for our bubble tea to be made (while we were already eating) even after ordering it way ahead of time. This is one of the cutest, trendiest Poke spots I've been to in the metroplex. The establishment is clean and bright and open. My daughter and I decided to build our own bowl and filled out the convenient printed checklist at the front of the counter. The employee that helped was so nice and got our order correct. We also ordered the miso soup and there was a great deal for a $1.99 yogurt drink when you purchased a bowl. My daughter got mango and I got peach. Both were so delicious and refreshing. The ingredients in the bowl were fresh and tasted soooo good! Hands down one of the best Poke bowls I've had.
