    Pastries cookies and delish muffins!

The bakery is really good. Beautiful pastries, cakes and coffee drinks. If you want a more breakfast the egg dishes, bagels and fruit cups are fresh and delicious. I had a turkey and cheese croissant today. The filling was a good portion of turkey and melted Swiss cheese in a buttery flaky croissant. I also got a double oat milk latte which went perfectly with the croissant. I'm heading to Seattle today so I bought some 7layer coconut bars and a snickers cookie to take home to my hubby. Nom! It's really good and located on the Oracle Redwood shores campus. Public is welcome!

They have the cutest treats and desserts. We absolutely love their Cannolis, French Macarons, Chocolate Almond Biscotti, Chocolate Eclairs and Truffles. So many options and everything is so beautifully and uniquely presented! They also do custom cakes for occasions, our favorite is their German Chocolate cake! Rich, decadent and bold cacao flavor! Sweetness is always on point! We also love their lunch options. Their Mediterranean platter is our favorite! They do have pizza and some delicious fish. Good portion sizes and courteous staff!

I work at Oracle, so for me eating at Cafe 300 happens more often than not...they have an amazing barista and the most delectable desserts that my son adores...just saying. All the produce is from Local Farms, the chicken is organic and so is all the red meat, the fish is wild caught and sustainable...more likely than not you will know where your food has come from This review is NOT for Cafe 300 which is beyond fabulous and even after working here over 5 years, it doesn't get old...this review is for the Chef's Counter that their director (Chef Hilt ) started this year...it gives Oracle Employees (and non-Oracle Employees as their guests) the chance to savor a wonderful 5-course meal at fraction of the cost out side. I have posted pictures of our Chef's Table Meal which I attended with 2 guests (my husband and son). Every course was a delight to the senses, beautifully plated, meticulously explained...you got the Chef's love and passion for their food (Chef Hilt...smile some more for the pictures :) ) We had a smoked salmon salad which was brilliantly executed, the chervil used was interesting a herb that tasted like a blend of parsley and tarragon...this was followed by a fettucini with english peas and a mint gremolata...simple yet flawlessly executed. The third course was a halibut with artichoke shavings and a hedgehog mushroom ( definitely another first for me...the hedgehog mushroom!). The fourth course was beef however we don't eat beef so they swapped it out with a grilled piece of chicken for us. The last course was a rhubarb galette with a delicate vanilla chantilly cream...we toddled out of the place stuffed to our gills...in love with the meal. The meal is about $20 for Employees and $25 for guests - definitely worth the experience. What are you waiting for - hit up your Oracle friend - make sure they treat you to the Oracle Chef's Counter Experience. Yes, you can thank me later.

This cafe probably offers the most varieties among all Oracle on-site cafes: pizza, pasta, panini, crepes, grilled lean meat, Mediterranean(hummus plate) and a tempting bakery! Generally good quality and tasty, great place to grab a lean and protein-loaded bite after hitting the gym.

I went there last Monday afternoon around 2:30 pm to taste the desserts at the bakery as I was nearby for my doctor's appointment. I used to work at Oracle so know my way around there. The cafes are open to the public and you can park at the nearby garages if you can find a spot. I parked at the 400 garage as it is closer to building 300. I saw a lot more pastries now than a few years ago, so tried a few "new items". To my dismay, other than the black forest cake I was disappointed. Kouign Amann: http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/oracle-cafe-300-redwood-city?select=Uub_jck1S7vdVSfyQF2AFA#B6WLOGW3Dr6m8p6dZod8pA Very dry and lack the buttery flaky layers that I expected. Maybe after I tasted one from B. Patisserie my bar is raised so high everything else is just a blah? http://www.yelp.com/biz/b-patisserie-san-francisco-2#hrid:ozFRLNVnoW9QCa-LvAkbUg Almond cookie: http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/oracle-cafe-300-redwood-city?select=Uub_jck1S7vdVSfyQF2AFA#MTxnYYTCGWjGZfv9FcRYZA It is a big thick cookie almost the same size of the Russian teacake from Whole Foods San Mateo, which is my favorite treat from there. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/whole-foods-market-san-mateo-san-mateo?filter_by_userid=True&select=qd3p8DeSfnijdMfEbPqwlg&userid=f92md2NWsZTEUjI7Fr3tHw#eOB8Sjzcfag3SfrVeiHj3g This gave me an "illusion" that this cookie is going to taste as good and buttery as that one from WF. Unfortunately it was a miss again as it was dry and almost a little stale. Almond cake with chocolate ganache: http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/oracle-cafe-300-redwood-city?select=Uub_jck1S7vdVSfyQF2AFA#lj724MAifSh9xiqT-HqwWQ I was not sure what this was as it looked like a donut only without the hole in the center. The lady helping me there told me it's an almond cake. When I bit into it it has the bread like texture and was dry and also lack in flavor. The inside filling was some sort of chocolate custard and was pretty good though. Black forest cake with cacao nib tuile: http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/oracle-cafe-300-redwood-city?select=Uub_jck1S7vdVSfyQF2AFA#UEggAlo7cgSixCMWFpQhow The chocolate cake was very moist and tender and just sweet enough but not overly sweet. It went perfectly with the also slightly sweet whipped cream layer inside and the chocolate ganache was soft and decadent. This was a winner of this trip. The executive chef Ian Farrell, also the owner of the Farrell Confections, was there as there were a couple people inquiring about his custom made decorated fondant cakes. He showed us his cake book with photos and there are all kinds of beautiful designs and the lead time is usually about 3 days to place your order. He is also a chocolatier and makes beautiful and yummy chocolates. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/oracle-cafe-300-redwood-city?select=Uub_jck1S7vdVSfyQF2AFA#c3OFNA23Fq5xkW99gW-nsA Given I had eaten many different cakes (most chocolate) and cookies from here, if I rate on his cakes/chocolates alone I would have given a higher rating. Or perhaps this was just an off day for the pastries here...I don't know but I would definitely come back again to try other items.

Much better than the normal cafeteria food you've been accustomed to from school or other businesses. As others have said, many of the items at this cafe are natural, organic, or locally grown and served at unbelievable prices. High quality meats such as Marin Farms Steak, Stone Valley Pork, sustainable fish, etc. are served grilled-to-order with premium sides at under $10. There are plenty of crepe (sweet and savory), pizza, and pasta options for people looking for something lighter. But the best part is the amazing bakery with gourmet cookies, brownies, cakes, and other items all at very reasonable prices. If you work at Oracle, you should definitely make a visit here to enjoy a fantastic lunch at a fantastic price.

Larry's best restaurant IMO. Unbeatable omelets at superb value for brekkie, ace coffee and the pastries - well some of the best in the Valley. Of course, the pastry maestro there - Ian - is Irish, so can't go wrong there, right? LOL. Latest opening of all the Oracle campus restaurants, a great place for a late afternoon coffee and muffin with coworkers. And for special occassions, treat yourself to the over-the-top death by chocolate guilt inducing creations for Halloween, Valentines, or made to order...

Chocolate high heels - just in time for V-day!

We purchased the black sesame crossiant, which had a nice flaky texture and nuttiness. It also included chocolate as part of the inner layer of the crossiant, so it was partially a black sesame and chocolate crossiant mashup. The outside was topped with a black sesame and cream cheese-like frosting -- I could have had a little less of the cream cheese flavor (generally not a fan of cream cheese), but did enjoy it. If you want to enjoy any of the crossiants at this pop-up, get there early. We arrived only 15 min after their opening and was online for 1/2 hour and almost missed the black sesame and also missed a few of the other pastries already. It seemed like this popup had frequent visitors and that they tended to order in bulk, with each customer ordering multiple boxes of pastries even for a small group. We saw about 15 minutes after we left they were already sold out, so even arriving after the 1/2 hour mark may be too late to enjoy any of these pastries. There were a lot of options for fans of sweet pastries, but no savories at this one. I'll watch to see if the menu expands and maybe go again for the black sesame and a few other options in the future.
