The actors are fun and you can tell they absolutely love doing what they do. They are there to make everyone happy including themselves and their fellow castmates. There is a bar with drinks and snacks, we've even seen shirts for sale! We are considering purchasing a "B Season Pass" so we don't miss out on the shows this coming year, some sell out fast! I hate to even give a great review because I don't want people to buy up all the seats from under us, but yet I want to also give this theater a huge and happy round of applause for being FANTASTIC!! It was the best surprise- I had no idea until we arrived. The Maverick puts on this play every year and it is outstanding. Their seasons always bring unique, quirky shows. From King Kong to Rocky Horror to Santa Claus Conquers the Martians. There is always something cool happening. Brian, the owner, is dedicated to theater and is a friendly, welcoming guy. The staff and actors are wonderful as well. Probably our favorite local theater.

We have also been there for seated dinner style events with Chef's and it has been amazing as well. Last night my Mom and I attended the 40th anniversary screening of the movie Clue and it was amazing! There were rows of seats and I felt we had a good amount of leg room and the seats were not the most comfortable but they worked well for the amount of time we were seated. It was so much fun, the audience was involved and we had a Q&A beforehand which was neat to learn some background of the movie. The venue has plenty of seating out in the happy hour area where you can grab a drink and snacks. Prices were reasonable, popcorn, pretzels, movie snacks, as well as more sufficient foods like pizza, flatbreads, and burgers. Parking is fairly easy in and out. We were coming in just as Angel Stadium was getting out (and it was packed Angel's vs. Dodgers) but entry was still seemless. Great venue, awesome people, and an overall amazing event last night!!!

When you watch a comedy show here, please note that it is a two item minimum (food or drink). Items can run pretty pricey. Don't heckle .... You'll get booted. Lines run quickly. Security is nice. Servers are always so nice. We've come here more than 10 times and I love it. Inside is very clean. Restrooms are always clean and stocked up. Seems small but there is a lot of seating. Drink are delicious. Don't get the chips and salsa lol. It's way over priced for literally chips and salsa If you're really hungry, the quesadilla and wings are okay. Otherwise, eat when you get out.

8/12/26 Nurse John show…read more My husband and I came here for Nurse John's comedy show at the improv. A couple weeks leading up to the show, I emailed the improv to inquire about ADA seating. It took a few days to receive a response. After some back and forth, they couldn't help me since I bought my tickets from Stubhub and the ticket info wasn't released until the day before. I tried to contact them via phone and email prior to the event to ask but not a single soul got back to me. The customer service on this front is rated 2 stars for me. I would have been dead before I got an answer. Evening of the show, line was wrapped about the restaurant. They don't admit until 930p for the 945p show time, however, it was still delayed. I read a bunch of not so pleasant online reviews and didn't expect much with this venue. A long line of people filed in and there was appointed seated when we got in. We got some decent general admit seating areas in the middle. Easy to walk with only a few steps to the restroom. Not sure if there is another area that has a wheelchair ramp but glad I didn't have to use it. Tables are cramped but worked out. QR code ordering for your table. Two item requirement per ticket. Not sure how they track this stuff but my husband and I were super hungry so the two item minimum was no big deal. *sorry about my blue hued food items. Lights already dimmed by the time they arrived. Everything tasted delicious. I loved our server gal. I asked for tap water and she informed me she will try to get back to me. They are rushed to get all ordered drinks and alcohol out before the show and if she can, she will bring me a water later. I wasn't holding my breath since it was so busy. To my surprised, 15mins into the show she stopped by with two glasses of water. I truly appreciated her. Overall, I gotta give all the servers props for doing the hustle before, during snd before the show ends. They have to take the orders for this who don't use the QR ordering, get the food and drinks out and make sure you check out before show ends so you can just walk out. Not an easy job for sure. *food service five stars* The first opening act was bleh, second act was better and the main act was superb. Nurse John was great! There are definitely some improvements Brea improv can make concerning communication/customer service via phone and email. At least return a call or shoot an email response. They checked our IDs quickly and gave us our wristbands since we had VIP seating, which made getting in super easy. I probably wouldn't recommend VIP seating if you're coming specifically to watch a comedy show. The way the tables are laid out, you can end up with a seat where you're constantly twisting your neck to see the stage, and after a while your neck and back can definitely start hurting. I actually think sitting a little farther back would be a better experience (and it's usually cheaper too). Unless you're hoping to be part of the crowd work, you really don't need to be right up front to enjoy the comedians. The food had a great variety, but the drink menu completely blew me away. I've honestly never seen a drink menu that impressive before. It was rows and rows of drinks I didn't even know existed. I kept joking, "I bet they have this," and every single time they actually did! They even had things like a Scooby Snack drink and Green Tea shots. Even though you order through a QR code, you can search for just about any drink you can think of, which I thought was really cool. I ordered the Strawberry Piña Colada mocktail, and it was absolutely delicious. It was a little sweet at first, but honestly, as the ice melted and it watered down throughout the show, it tasted even better. The only thing that took me out of the experience a little was the table service during the show. The servers come by to take orders and deliver drinks while the comedians are performing, so it can interrupt your focus for a moment and make you lose track of what the comedian was saying. I can't really blame the staff since they're just doing their jobs, but it is something to keep in mind if you're easily distracted. For anyone wondering about the air conditioning, I went in August 2026 when it was over 100 degrees outside. The front area before you walk into the showroom doesn't really have air conditioning since the doors are open, so it feels pretty warm. Once you're inside the showroom, the air conditioning is very cold. I was really glad I brought a jacket because it got chilly during the show. Overall, it was a really fun experience with great drinks, good food, and an easy check-in process. I'd definitely come back, but next time I'd skip the VIP seating and choose a seat farther back for a more comfortable view.

We saw Russell Peters and Fluffy/Gabriel Iglesias. Both shows were a lot of fun. Good energy and a very intimate setting. Check-in process was easy. We showed our online ticket and then the staff puts on our wristbands and guides us to our table. We did the VIP seating for the Russell Peters show. We sat towards the front and got a good view of the acts. It was a bit cramped but manageable. Definitely recommend arriving early to get a seat that you want otherwise you would be elbow to elbow with other attendees. For the Fluffy show, we did GA admission seating. We sat towards the back but it was a bit more spaced out than VIP. As for the food, we really enjoyed their fries and nachos. They have a lot of food offerings but we always opt for finger foods because its easier. The staff is really good and very attentive. They took good care of us. Overall fun experience at The Improv in Irvine. Great spot for comedy shows.

Review of an event:…read more Event parking was $9 all night. There was plenty of parking in the structure. Go to level 4 for event parking. Box office opens one hour prior to show and closed at midnight. Event space was not that big. Restrooms are available in the mall by the escalators. There are also restrooms inside event venue.

I was able to go in quickly and got my ticket scanned. Once inside there is a bar and restrooms nearby. Overall, great nice venue. Was able to leave and exit quickly also by just scanning the paper I got for the parking.
