Not a huge fan of the food here, but the views are nice. Parking is on site, but there is a $10 valet fee. Once seated, you do enjoy the view. My friends and I dined at night so we were able to enjoy the city lights and even see the Disneyland fireworks. We ordered a lot of different things like the tuna over crispy rice, which was good. Coconut shrimp, which was OK. I ordered the tomato and burata salad, which was not good at all. The salad came with peaches that I was expecting for it to be grilled peaches, but these were canned peaches that were put in the salad that did not pair well with the dish. We also tried the butter fish, which was good, the short rib and the chicken. We ordered drinks, which I believe is what they're really known for. Very sugary for our taste but if you like sweet drinks, they have plenty to offer. The service was OK there were times in the night where we were waiting for our server to come around so we can ask for more water or extra napkins.

I'd like to point out how amazing the bar staff are. Karla, Matt, Scott, Sean, Beau, Cassidy....even Tommy! I'm here pretty often as I usually stop by after work for a meal and drink. The food, to me, has always been great. From chicken and waffles to their filet mignon and everything in between, I've never had any complaints. Food is flavorful and plentiful. You cannot beat the view and setting. Your views extend from the mountains to the sea, and the interior is tastefully decorated. Top notch place for any reason! BONUS: Did I mention how great Karla is?

Went here for a special occasion, it requires valet parking so that was new for me. It is a very beautiful restaurant with beautiful scenery. I was seating in one of the booth seats away from the windows, but it was still a nice sight. The food and service was great, the food we had ordered was delicious and we had no issues whatsoever. A great place for dinner and for special occasions.

What a wonderful restaurant! I brought my son here to celebrate his 40th birthday and they did not disappoint. From the excellent service to the unbelievable food and drinks and sitting outside watching the sunset - too wonderful for words. It's worth the cost, you get what you pay for and everything was amazing. Adam was our waiter and was fantastic. He heard me say it was my son's birthday and came out with a beautiful birthday cake surprise without me even asking. Make a reservation and definitely pay the extra fee ($20) to guarantee a seat on the patio if you want to get views of the sunset.

Good food with a great view! The big winners were the steak and whole snapper. The salads are large and can be easily shared (need more dressing). Our party had mixed reviews for the mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. The service was standard, nothing above and beyond. *no free general parking- valet only $10*

Views, views, views! What a beautiful restaurant. Elegant, sophisticated, and upscale vibes. Sitting outdoors for brunch with girlfriends, we can see Orange County from the top of the hills. Beautiful! I ordered their Salmon Benedict. While the taste was fully there, the smoked salmon was a bit over cooked. I still thoroughly enjoyed my dish. Their breakfast potatoes are delicious! Cooked perfectly with a nice crisp and flavor. Service was absolutely wonderful. Our server (sorry did not catch the name), was so accommodating and patient with us. We may have stayed a bit later after the bill was already paid, but he did not rush us out. Thank you so much for the wonderful service. Overall enjoyed my visit to Orange Hill today. It was my first time here for brunch, and would come back again. Great atmosphere. Excellent service. Variety of menu options to choose from. Cheers, Orange Hill!

This place was a mix of super fancy and also casual. I felt confused walking up bc some people were dressed in formal outfits and others were in baggy jeans. So I guess I advise you dress for your occasion! I got the prime rib which was really good. The brussel sprouts were also so tasty and the complimentary cornbread was also very good. I got a drink and the total came out to around $100. The view was great and beautiful at night. Parking is valet only, so just keep that in mind before coming!

Gorgeous restaurant inside and out. As soon as you exit your vehicle the stroll to the front door has relaxing streams and a huge fireplace. We checked in at the front in the near empty restaurant and yet had to wait around 10 minutes before seated at a nice booth. I'm not sure why we didn't get a window or patio table in the empty restaurant but our booth was comfortable and still had a view. Brunch menu had a lot of tasty options. I ordered the smoked salmon Benedict with a side order of Belgium waffle. Also their Dubai chocolate espresso martini. This breakfast was perfection. I absolutely loved it. One of the best smoked salmon benedicts I have had. Even the side of potatoes and roasted tomatoes were amazing. The waffle tasted like a combination of a churro and funnel cake. Pure heaven. I've never tried the trendy Dubai chocolate bar but my martini captured the essence of what I have seen in pictures. Legit or not it was delicious. My wife had a pineapple cocktail I can't remember the name of that she thought was delicious. My wife ordered the prime rib. The slab was so massive it completely eclipsed the side dishes it was lying on! It was ok. She thought it was bland and the few bites I tried were ok, not something I would order.. It was oddly chewy for prime rib. My wife took most of it home and doctored it up. It came with mashed potatoes and broccolini. Our waitress was very friendly when we saw her but she was MIA most of the meal. I had an issue with a few items not matching the price on the menu and didn't notice until after I paid. I let the assistant manager Ray know and he's going to get it fixed. Double check your receipt.

We had a beautiful family dinner celebrating my nephew's college graduation. The restaurant had a gorgeous scenic view, and the service was excellent from start to finish. We were seated quickly, and once seated, menus were brought right away and we were already ordering drinks and appetizers. Even with a party of ten, our server handled everything with ease and professionalism. The food came out fast and did not disappoint -- everything was absolutely delicious. Orange Hill is truly a beautiful and enchanting spot for a special celebration.

My front right tire is completely flat
    Marie T.

My meal was nice but their valet drove over a nail and before I even got down the hill I was being notified of a completely flat front tire! So, instead of having a nice meal and heading home because I was too tired to cook dinner, I'm now waiting an hour for a tow from AAA. This is going to cost me hundreds of dollars to repair and I'm also just plain old exhausted. Really ruined an otherwise good meal. I left the restaurant a voicemail immediately and hoping to hear back in the morning.

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful birthday dinner and first-time experience at Orange Hill. The scenery and views are absolutely beautiful and definitely help justify the price. The service was excellent as well. Since it was a busy evening, we waited about 15 minutes to be seated, and there were some delays between courses. However, our waiter was friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful when it came to choosing what to order, which made the experience even more enjoyable. We ordered two drinks, the spinach artichoke dip, 50/50 mash, and the Western Angus ribeye steak. Everything tasted great, and we left feeling completely satisfied. We were also served a complimentary cornbread dish which was delicious and they surprised my girlfriend with a complimentary brownie dessert for her birthday. She loved it! I did have two minor concerns. While doing research, I was put off by the mandatory valet parking service. We were charged a $10 valet fee, plus a 3.2% card surcharge. In the end it wasn't a big deal, and it was actually a fun first-time valet experience. My main concern was the steak preparation. I saw common complaints about how steaks turned out in reviews so I was worried. My girlfriend ordered the ribeye medium-rare but it was closer to medium and some parts were medium-well. She didn't notice and she still enjoyed it though I thought it was alright. I hope if and when we come back, we don't have the same problem. Overall, we had a fantastic first visit and would absolutely eat here again for another special occasion. The combination of great food, excellent service, and stunning views made for a memorable evening. I highly recommend giving Orange Hill a try on your next special dinner!

    Crab Cake Benedict
    Johnathan H.

Orange Hill might just be riding on the coattails of its own legacy and not trying to improve on much. Maybe it was because we did brunch instead of dinner so the vibe was a little more casual. For the price point and the reputation that this restaurant holds, I expected a little bit more in terms of quality. The service is nice, but not polished. There could be a little more attention to detail, like how servers at other fine dining restaurants do so. However, the food was great. We got the spinach dip, crab cake benny, and wagyu benny. No notes, we would get it again, but we won't be coming very often. Also you're forced to do valet, which is $10.

This was my first time here and it was absolutely fantastic. We came for the Valentines dinner special on Valentine's Day. The restaurant is beautiful. The view outside is fantastic. We were seated pretty quickly. Our waitress was very friendly and informative. It was a special menu for the occasion we went ahead and placed our order of each thing that we wanted and one by one it started to come out our alcohol drinks were fantastic and came with a little show. This experience was a 10 out of 10 absolutely fantastic. Everything that I tried was delicious and flavorful. The dessert was top-notch. I am so glad that I got to experience this place. Absolutely perfect perfection

    What is the price range?

Entree's are $25 on up. It's worth it. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

Anyone know if all my guests need to arrive at the same time to be seated or can the "on time" people get started with drinks while we wait? I tried calling but line just rings.

We had about 7 guests and they said 6 had to be there in order for us to be seated, but since it was a surprise birthday for one of our guests, they said we could be seated as we arrived. So you would have to confirm with them

Hello. Are we able to bring our own wine bottle? If yes, are we able to.open our own bottle without paying a cork fee? Paying someone to open the bottle for $25, thats crazy!

Yes. We brought a bottle of champagne. We were charged a $35 corkage fee, so the price is pretty high in my opinion.

What is the automated tip amount for a party of 14?

    18%

Does anyone know if Orange Hill Restaurant is still open? I've called multiple times the last 3 days, left a phone message and sent an email request for a reservation through their website (I did get email confirmation, but still no response)

Yes, still open. You should try calling right at 4 pm when they open.

What's the current price for valet In 2024?

9 dollars plus tax and they ask for tip LOL

I will be going to dinner next Friday, is there open parking?

Valet parking $9 if you want to self park, you can do it at the bottom of the hill but it's worth it if you have a cake to bring and you're wearing heels

Do they currently have happy hour? what time?

    Yes. I believe it's from 4-6.

    Is there a kids menu?

    Yes there is.

To get the best outside view, Should I come during the day or night?

Personally, it's the night lights that look beautiful from that height. Not to mention the sunsets! Superb!

What is the dinner dress attire like? Is it dressed up or casual?

Our server was so good at his job that I didn't even realize he slid my drink in front of me without me noticing. He was super attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. In terms of the food it's pretty on par with nice steakhouses. We ordered the lobster Mac n cheese, mushrooms, BLT salad, French onion soup, and the NY prime rib steak. They also have complimentary bread with multiple different flavors - the jalapeño cheese one was the best. Everything was very tasty. The French onion soup was decent at first but became quite potent after a while and became harder to finish since it was such a strong flavor. The steak was cooked perfectly and they even confirmed the color of the inside with us! At the end they had surprised us with a sweet treat on the house to celebrate our anniversary! Such a pleasant surprise which made the experience that much better. Another random bonus of dining here - if you show your receipt at the front door, you can enter their saloon for free. It seemed to be a nice fun line dancing situation if you were up for it. Overall prices for dinner was quite high but pretty worth it if you care a lot about the experience itself.

The restaurant was dark and stylish, and I immediately liked the vibe. Even though it was crowded for a Thursday night, we were seated within 15 minutes. We each picked a shareable dish to split. Predictably, my daughter chose the mac and cheese. I rolled my eyes -- it's so her -- but it turned out to be the best of the four. Maybe it was the velvety cheese sauce or the golden cracker crust that made it so irresistible, but that mac and cheese was, as she'd say, absolutely bussin'. The next standout was the maple-buttered Brussels sprouts, my man's pick. If all vegetables tasted this good, I'd eat them every day. Candied pecans, maple butter, blue cheese -- how could that not be amazing? Was it healthy? Sus, but definitely worth it. I picked the pig candy for the group, which was outrageously sweet and candy-like. Clearly, this wasn't healthy -- bacon, sugar, and rye whiskey caramel make a trifecta of indulgence. But it was so delicious, I couldn't complain. The sliders were the last shareable we tried. They were fine but didn't stand out -- the meat was a bit dry. I also ordered a cocktail (something pretty and fruity, though I can't remember the name). The bartender nailed it, delivering a delicious drink. My man enjoyed his Negroni. The service was great, and I loved the grassy area with fire pits for hanging out. Excellent place for our first night out in Irvine!

The fresh bread came out hot and delicious. The cost of the Excellent burger would be less then 2 poor quality hot dogs at the game. Again we made reservations and requested a booth we were early and didn't mind waiting. We were seated pretty quickly, maybe the waiter wasn't aware of us ? Like last time we waited a while to be greeted. The waiter was friendly but seemed rushed. The food was not like it has been in the past. We walked out thinking that it was just not up to standard compared to the last time. We both ordered petite cut prime rib. The slice was very thin and I don't think it was 10 oz. The green beans were very good but the mashed potatoes were over whipped and starchy. The meat was a bit chewy. We both had med rare and that was right. The cost was 46.95 per dinner. It also came with Yorkshire pudding which was also delicious. I ordered a carrot cake ( my favorite) to go and the frosting was very thin. It used to be thicker. The inside is still nice but our booth seat needs some TLC.
