Started with some bacon wrapped dates that were absolutely scrumptious. The sweet with salty and savory was perfect. The wives both god the chicken and waffle sandwich which tasted great but the overtly large pickles made it difficult to enjoy all the flavors together. My bro got the burger I got the brisket sandwich. Both were good. Nothing amazing that I just couldn't get enough of. The bacon on the burger was overcooked and so was the egg. The brisket was shredded so much that I may have even gotten the pulled pork sandwich and not known it. Normally a brisket sandwich is super charred smokey and delicious this, was okay. My buddies wife did love the bottomless brunch mimosas though however as previously stated getting refilled was a chore. Didn't feel super cramped but in a month this outdoor space will be difficult to enjoy with the heat so I hope they do well as the outdoor space is awesome super inviting and spacious read more

We came here with friends for dinner. The size of the menu was fair and the variety to chose from was not extensive. I had the Cobb salad with shrimp and it was good, large and i had to take some of it home. My husband had the Tavern Burger which had too many things on it and he had to cut it to swallow it. The sidewinders (cork screwed french fries} were good but too salted. Our friends had French dip sandwiches which they said was cut too thick. They enjoyed the fried onion rings instead of the sidewinders. We were disappointed by the lack of soda choices to go with the burger and French dip. The service was good and attentive by both the waitress and the manager. We no longer have young children or toddler grand children but those who do will enjoy the splash pool especially on hot days. This was my first time here and it's such a great spot. It's a little hidden by Luci's but with the outdoor vibe that I love. Charitye was our server and she was great. She anticipated our needs and made some suggestions that were spot on. The food was fabulous and I loved that it wasn't too loud where we were and there was enough space to have nice conversations. What a great find. My son is attending GCU so still just discovering places in the area. We started with the Garden plate - Hummus and the most delicious veg. Then I had pizza and he had fish and chips. Both just delicious dishes. We had no too. For dessert unfortunately. I've been coming to Orchard since their soft opening a few months ago and I have to say it's a great little spot. Feel like the place has started to hit it's stride. The service, I have to say is excellent! I've been stopping in a lot on Tues and Wed, sitting at the bar, and the two bartenders they have working there those days are amazing. They, Charity and Mike, have made the experience for me lately. Honestly they're both just fun and that's great after a long day. Also both have been very attentive and are quick behind the bar. That speed though, certainly does not take away from the quality of the cocktails they make. They know the menu well and now I don't know if that's the reason why I like so many of the Orchard's craft cocktails but I'm not complaining. Speaking of the drinks, again their cocktails are excellent, but they have a nice little tap selection as well. Or for something more simple a well rounded liquor selection. One of the negatives I'd say though is the drafts I feel are a little more pricey than you'd expect or can find in the area. However the cocktails I'd say are the opposite, for the quality you get and compared to other craft cocktails spots the prices are more than fair. The food there is also pretty good. While I mainly go for drinks, the few times I've eaten there I haven't been disappointed. The brussel sprouts, green chili stew, tavern burger and carrot cake were all great and I'd easily recommend them. All of this is found in a very comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. I'd say the feel/decor of the place could be described as modern vintage. Like a modern take on your grandparents 70s decor. Place has a nice patio and is very pleasant to sit out on a cool spring evening. It's just north on 12th street and Glendale, tucked just far enough into the neighborhood to offer a laid back atmosphere. The bar top, while not huge, is not cramped and offers a good number of seats. While not a sports bar, the few tvs they have at the bar are big enough and well placed that it makes watching games there enjoyable. Have gone there specifically to watch a few games with friends and have enjoyed it each time. Tldr; Orchard Tavern is a comfortable spot that offers excellent service, with a nice bar, great food, wonderful drinks, and amazing bartenders (certainly in Chariy and Mike). Definitely worth stopping in. read more

It was our first time dining in and we already love this place so much! Our waitress Gigi was so sweet and attentive, which made the night even better. We got the Carne Asada Nachos and Dynamite Shrimp to start. She also suggested the French Dip and Arugula and Prosciutto Pizza. Every dish was AMAZING!!! And the patio is just perfect. This is one of my favorite places in North-ish Central Phx! I have a vacation rental down the street so I stop in here a lot and it's always a great experience. I also have The Tavern and Luci's as recommendations in my guestbook for visitors who stay at my rental. The Tavern's food is great! I love their hot wings. Always hits the spot. The ambiance is very comfortable, attractive, and cozy while maintaining a certain impressive level of taste and aesthetic. I have to say, though, my favorite thing about the place is the service. ALWAYS friendly and helpful and attentive. From the hostesses, the servers, and the bartenders.. always good. But in particular, there are two really special people behind the bar that impress the heck out of me-- Charity and Mike. Top-notch people. They're half the reason I stop in so often. They're very friendly, fun to talk to, and they make great recommendations. They recommended a scotch a while back, and while I'm not typically a scotch guy, this stuff was fantastic. (I think it was a 15 year single malt Glenfiddich reserve.) Pretty cool experience to be telling Mike and Charity that I'm not a big scotch person only for them pick out a scotch that they thought I might be surprised about and insist I try it... and they were absolutely right lol. It was caramelly, and not overly peaty. Anyway, I just thought that was really an above and beyond experience to receive. I know I'm bordering on overdoing it with the compliments, but I have to point out something important-- Charity and Mike are ALWAYS able to multitask and be attentive, while somehow maintaining genuine engagement and sincere conversations with guests. I spent years in the service industry a while back, and this type of service and friendly connection is VERY rare, because it takes more energy and attention than most people would ever imagine. It is a difficult thing to do-- to give 100% energy and attention to not just preforming a job function, but to do it while busy, and then to do it while busy AND maintaining a sincere connection with guests. They deserve some legit props. So if you're reading this, check out The Tavern. It'll probably become one of your local go-to places. Cheers! read more
