Went here for early dinner with our visiting family. We ordered fried red snapper in chili sauce and curry puff. Both tasty and delicious. This place was packed on Sunday night. Friendly server and nice. We stayed and eat outside, their patio dining.

If you're craving Thai, check out French Thai. I truly enjoy the food from the restaurant every time I go. The ambiance is warm and cozy. It's great for date night or a friend's night out. To start off we had the Tasting Appetizer, which consisted of Golden Curry Puff, Shrimp and Taro Dumpling, Peking Duck salad. For my entree, I had the noodle curry which was so yummy. The sauce was my favorite part. I could just eat the sauce on its own, but the noodles were the only thing I'd say was my less favorite 8/10. The green curry was the entree my friend ordered and she was raving about the dish. The way she was talking about I'd say she would give it a 10/10. She did mention wishing they gave her more rice so she order another side of it. My sister got the pad kee maow and let's just say her plate was clean by the end of our dinner 10/10. Overall highly recommend

I've eaten at Origin French Thai once before and I remember from my first experience that I definitely did enjoy. I came here on a Friday night for dinner with my sister and our good friend for a little girls night dinner. We made reservations for 3 for 8pm and by 8pm this restaurant was definitely packed so reservations is suggested. We were seated fairly quickly. We took our time looking over the menu and I will admit the service was a little on the slower side in terms of getting our orders placed. But once we put our orders in our food came out fairly quickly. The food wasn't super hot but it wasn't cold either. For the appetizer we got the tasting appetizer. Which came with 1 chicken curry puff, 2 shrimp and taro dumplings, and a duck salad. We enjoyed the appetizer but the portion size of what you got was sort of off. For instance, when I think of an appetizer I think of it as something you share with the table but the tasting appetizer only had 1 chicken curry puff so only 1 person at the table got to try that while my sister and I each got to try a dumpling. So I guess it worked out but we missed out on trying the curry puff because there just wasn't enough. For dinner I got the pad kee maow and I thought this dish was pretty delicious so I definitely recommend that.

This place is super cute. The services was amazing everyone was so friendly . We went for my friend wedding dinner and we had such a good time. This place is also BYOB which was dope. Used to frequent here and then it just fell off of the radar, went back tonight and boy did I immediately remember why I loved this place so much. Always have loved French food as a kid growing up in the UK & as a young adult got introduced to Thai. Just so greats staff are so friendly and accommodating. We had the house salad, shrimp and crab spring rolls, sea bass special and a rib eye special. Everything was absolutely amazing. The peanut dressing on the salad was so good with a hint of ginger. Sauce fit the spring rolls was zesty and fresh. Sea-bass was perfectly cooked in a delicious sauce with sushi rice. The rib eye melted in your mouth. Both served with various greens. So stuffed couldn't even look at dessert! Next time !!

My wife and I absolutely love this place. We've never had a bad meal. It's the only place we order duck and it's always fantastic. The food quality is some of the best in town and we've been everywhere. In a town where Somerville has great restaurants, Origin sticks out as one of the best options they have and it's BYO.

I've been here a couple times and wanted to love it but there's always been something missing for me. The pad kee mao is not one of the best I've had, and also one of the more expensive ones I've tried for the portion size. Also tried the tuna pizza. The wasabi on it was good but I felt like it was missing some kind of sweet soy based sauce.

We had a lovely meal outdoors recently and service was prompt and friendly. From a vegetarian point of view they were able to modify several dishes with tofu and veggies! Our meal was served piping hot and with a decent portion size. However, I will say my meal felt a little bland but made up for in freshness of veggies and ambiance. Not the best thai food I've had but for the location, service and options its a decent spot to have a meal and catch up with friends. It's also BYOB which is helpful. Looking forward to trying their curry dish next time.

Impressed with Thai restaurant. Classy interior. Smaller restaurant on Division street which is a pedestrian only. Service good. Duck entree was crispy, well flavored and filling.

My wife and I stopped in after meeting my Corvette club for the weekly cruise night in Somerville -- it was the perfect way to cap the evening. We started with the grilled octopus and the crispy calamari. Both were excellent. The calamari is very light. When I used to frequent the lounge on Fridays and Saturdays, if I hadn't had dinner, the calamari hit the spot. The octopus had a good char on it and was tender throughout. For entrees, my wife had the seared ahi tuna special and I went with the pan seared duck breast. Her tuna was cooked perfectly - rare. The duck was well seared on the outside with just the right amount of pink inside. Portions were the right size -- filling without being excessive, which left just enough room to share the chocolate ganache dessert. We finished with a cappuccino for my wife and a double espresso for me. Verve is a French bistro on East Main Street with a serious cocktail and wine program. The atmosphere is upscale but relaxed. They opened in September 2019 -- just six months before the pandemic -- which makes what they've built even more impressive. It's truly family-driven. The husband, Manuel (from Spain), is the head chef, and you can absolutely taste the care and authenticity in every dish. Cindy, who is from Panama, brings so much heart to the restaurant as well. We started with Prince Edward Island oysters and the crab salad, which had crispy bacon pieces for a great touch of texture and the crab was incredibly fresh -- such a perfect balance of flavors and crunch. For entrées, the beef bourguignon was rich, comforting, and everything you'd hope for from a classic French dish. The Dover sole felt elegant and perfectly executed. We ended with the chocolate mousse, which was light, decadent, and the perfect sweet finish. And I have to mention our server -- Delroy was fabulous. Attentive, personable, and so knowledgeable. He truly elevated the entire experience. It had been awhile since we dined there last. The problem, service. We arrived a bit early, but were sat right away. The server, Delroy had 5 tables, and we watched as he went back and forth to each table, being jovial and asking each table how was everything. He then came towards our table, and took a swift turn to give more water to the table next to us. He could have at least acknowledged us during his many table visits to every other table, but chose not to. After about 10-15 minutes of waiting he finally decided to greet us. My wife and I do not drink alcohol and the look of disgust on his face when he was removing the wine glasses from our table was quite obvious. At that point he figured a low check amount without selling a bottle of wine, so the effort to give a great dining experience went to zero immediately. He told us the specials and disappeared for another 15 mins. He came back to take our order, and that was the last time he visited our table! We never saw him again. The non alcoholic drinks were delivered by the back waiter, and may I say she was incredibly attentive to us. We were delighted by the appetizer, shrimp and crabmeat in a garlic sauce. Then the entrees came out. We actually enjoyed the appetizer so much, had Delroy decided to visit our table again, or bother to check how everything came out, we would have ordered another one. I wanted another drink, but was unable to get one because he was making multiple table visits to all the other tables, telling stories about his wine experiences, but again, never returned to our table, not even once! We really wanted to order the crème brûlée for dessert as it was my wife's favorite and we were celebrating her birthday, but he refused to come to our table. At this point, we just wanted to pay the check and leave, go somewhere to get dessert and celebrate her birthday. We finished our meal, and I actually had to call out to him as he passed our table to get his attention for the check, he glanced over and said, "one minute" and kept walking. Then he starting walking our way and just passed our table again, and went to water the table next to us for the fourth time, before turning around, staring at me, without a word, as I asked for the check. He said, "no dessert"? I said no, just the check. He sent the back waiter with the check, then picked it up from the table, after processing it, dropped it on our table without a word, and walked away. Against my better judgement, I still left him a 20% gratuity. We left and went elsewhere to celebrate.

Can you believe I had never had an espresso martini until that evening?? So my first was a pumpkin espresso martini. Well I may have had 2. And another drink. Ahem. The service was great, not fussy, and I wasn't rushed even as we approached last call. Visit 2: having heard about my great experience there alone, my cousin arranged to meet me there last week. Or so she thought. Through a series of mutual miscommunications, I was here at the crib waiting for her, while she was at the wine bar waiting for me. Once we figured that out, she got us some food to go and we ate here at home. Verdict: -excellent seating options - stools, couches, chairs -food is so so good. Tartare, truffle fries. Fig jam pizza -drinks include awesome bottles and seasonal takes on old favorites This could be my new spot.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I was pleasantly surprised by VintEdge and it ended up being one of my favorite…read moreeateries so far this year! The outside is unassuming but on the inside, it feels like a classy, upscale restaurant with a casual ambiance. On a Saturday evening, there were still several tables open inside and outside and seating at the bar. The drinks were amazing. My fave was the lychee martini. The food was also simple yet delicious. Can't wait to come back and try more of their menu. The staff were busy but still polite and attentive.
