Kinda dirty, drink machines not running look grungy, food and portions go downhill every time I'm here. My bowl undercooked

Food is consistently consistent. I usually get the tuna sandwich as a wrap with a few side salads. Hot tip: get the salad dressing on the side it's super yummy and you will want to dip your sandwich right in. I'm actually not a fan of this location (I prefer the Old Town spot) feels wayyy to corporate and has that chain restaurant feel. That being said it's still a nice, healthy(ish) lunch destination. read more

Always a great experience. Clean, adorable interiors and nice patio. The food is excellent: every time. Service is so friendly and professional! Love the staff here as they welcome and patiently advise us on what they love and why! So thankful to have this wonderful spot so close by! And grateful for the way they sent encouraging emails during Covid and were always helpful during that time. This is not a little thing. Their positive communication was part of their healthy commitment--to both physical and mental health. These guys deliver fresh and delicious every time. It's always clean and I have never waited in line more than about 2-3 minutes. If you're looking for fresh, clean and healthy options with your own twist (like sweet potato hash... delicious) then this is your place! read more

I just ate at Chop Shop Paradise Valley location and the food was amazing . I had the avocado toast and açaí bowl , the food is fresh, healthy and the service is super quick and easy . Highly recommend this place . The manager was super friendly too.... wish they had Chop shop in California! read more

I have eaten here 40 times since I discovered the place 6 months ago. Enough said. A little pricey but the quality is worth it. I order the chicken prosciutto sandwich or soy steak bowl usually and ALWAYS get an açaí bowl. The kale caesar is as good as kale gets when I want to really be super healthy. Enjoy!! read more

Food was kind of good. We got a grinder(sandwich), chicken prosciutto(sandwich), a small salad and side of quinoa. The girl who took the order asked if I wanted wheat or regular and I said wheat, thinking it was wheat bread. When I got the sandwich it was in a wrap and we had been charged extra. She should have mentioned that not only is it extra but it's no longer a sandwich, it's a wheat wrap. I really wanted a sandwich & wouldn't have said yes to wheat if I would have known it's a wrap. That was a bummer & I was too impatient & hungry to send it back. The salad was good but the quinoa was absolutely one of the blandest things I've ever received from a restaurant. No seasoning or attractiveness to that dish at all, other than being healthy. The teas are delicious but I couldn't find sweetener anywhere and didn't want to wait in line to ask for any. I think some of the menu items are probably very tasty so I will be back, but this was our first time here & I wasn't impressed overall. read more

Went and opted to upgrade to the forbidden rice. The rice was dry and hard. It was like chewing pebbles. The rest of the bowl was average.

First time here and it did not disappoint! I had the bbq chicken salad and it was delish!! They also have some really good iced tea! We will be back for sure! read more

Would be 0 stars if I could. Terrible service! I ordered a drink and acai bowl, waited 25 minutes, watch 2 guys come in after me, order acai bowls and get served. I went back up and waited in line, asked for a refund as they hadn't even started it yet. A guy said, oh, I can make that now. Now? I wasn't about to wait again. Two girls spent another 5 minutes trying to give me a refund but were clueless on how to do it. They asked if they could just do a gift card instead. Sure! They then give me a gift card but kept the tip amount I gave them. Wow! No apologies either. Rotten service. Never going back. read more

Ordered a Teriyaki bowl with tofu instead of chicken for Me and my daughter. Paid extra for Forbidden rice as well. Both bowls had rice that was so hard it could have broken teeth. We are vegetarians and my daughter had chicken in hers (along with the tofu) and I had some steak thrown in. Used to be a fan but now totally disappointed and worried about what else we may have eaten. So very disappointed. Not a good experience. read more

This used to be my weekly lunch break spot. I ordered my usual sandwich and drink and it came out dry and out of character, maybe missing an ingredient I thought. I asked an employee that was dropping off food to another customer if they were out of a certain ingredient today and she said, "no it appears as if you've ordered a different sandwich". She offered to correct the situation by making me another sandwich as I had a originally intended. I kindly declined but she insisted. She left then the gentleman that took my order came back shortly after accusing me of lying and saying that I did not order the correct sandwich. I couldn't believe this guy was so concerned about protecting his ego that he couldn't admit that he might've heard something wrong. I thought ChopShop had higher standards for their employees just like their products. One less customer for ChopShop. Never will I set foot in a ChopShop again. I was excited to see a Chop Shop opening in PV, as I LOVE the Old Town and Tempe loctions. I've eaten at the PV location a few times now and each time has presented me with a new reason not to return. The food is very inconsistent and the service is incredibly slow. I have never had a bad GF Hummus Wrap at Chop Shop until I visited this location. The wrap was super dry and they forgot the dressing on the lettuce. Super bummed. I will probably avoid this location from now on between the slow service and the inconsistent food preparation. read more

I've been waiting to review the Original ChopShop, and have sampled their menu on three separate occasions. First of all, I absolutely love the ambiance. With a bright, farm and craft-like vibe to the space, I feel as if I'm transported somewhere in California. As for the food, as of right now, I wish it matched the ambiance more. The first time I went, I ordered a teriyaki protein bowl and was disappointed. The food was average, and I felt as if I could get this teriyaki bowl anywhere. The second time I came in, I ordered a breakfast burrito. The bacon was cooked great, and I appreciated it, but the rest of the ingredients were bland. The third time I came in, I ordered the peanut coconut chicken protein bowl. Ah, this tasted good, finally some flavor! As a whole, the dish was good, but not great. I think overall, and this may be a preference, but ChopShop's food to me is lackluster. Though the ingredients are generally healthy, they need to add more flavor and spices to their food to 'wake it up'. And while I can give the benefit of the doubt and attribute this lack of flavor to 'healthier options', I do believe their competitors can do it, so they should be able to, too. Since they just opened, and I work nearby, interested to see how they do in the future. read more

I really want to like this place. I came in early for a juice and the guy behind the counter was super nice but as another reviewer said walked around touching doors and such with his gloved hand left and went in the back for something and came back still wearing the same gloves while making my juice. I would suggest maybe making sure all the ingredients are ready to go beforehand so this doesn't happen again. I did come in super early so maybe they weren't quite set up yet but It's hard not to judge with an open kitchen like that. read more

What a great first experience! Menu was extensive. I didn't have much time and ordered a fabulous Power Green juice and a vegan apricot cookie. Wow-I'll be back! The best part was my interaction with Hayden at the register. She was so friendly and patient and seemed to have a genuine interest in what I wanted. Food is really good but the value for what you get is not the same as I'm used to from the old town location. Almost $17 for a large ice tea and a sweet soy sesame steak protein bowl with forbidden rice. Taste is great but the bowl comes half full with maybe 2oz of meat. Low rating for the horrible value. If you want to charge a premium price at least provide a full serving. Disappointed that I will still have to drive to old town when I want chop shop and I live so close to the new location. read more

I ate here everyday this week and I just tried something new and after letting the waitress know I did not like it - all she said was oh that's to bad and walked away! We have been frequenting this location for a while now, and yesterday I picked up some food to take home for dinner. At home we realized they had given us the wrong sandwich (tuna salad instead of steak wrap), and we all know how frustrating that is when you get home and can't exchange it. I called the store and they were very apologetic as expected. However, instead of just giving us a free sandwich on next visit they actually remade the sandwich and had their driver deliver it to us (with bonus cookies too). I believe the manager on duty was Victoria (apologies if I'm wrong here), but this is a fantastic way to run a business and we were delighted with the result (nobody wanted to eat the tuna sandwich). The one mistake would not have deterred our business anyway (it happens), but to see the staff go above and beyond to make right enforces our decision to keep using their business during these difficult times. I was between two grocery store trips last week and was getting hungry for lunch. I was looking at my options in that area and looked down at my growing quarantine waistline. Instead of something something carb-y or fried, I decided to give ChopShop a try since I have heard good things about it from a friend. I went in to order takeout to eat in my car. Their dining room was open but I'm not comfortable dining in restaurants quite yet. It was bright, airy, and nicely decorated. I ordered a vegetable chop with lemon dressing and added tofu at the cash register and waited for about 10 minutes, masked up, for my order. Service was nice. I took my salad back to my car to devour. It was delicious! Big serving, nice variety of veggies, crunchy pistachios. The tofu was cooked nicely and had lots of flavor. The lemon dressing was to die for, I just wish there was more of it. The price...eh. $8 for the salad, $2 to add on tofu, then of course I feel obligated to tip even though it's takeout. Ended up being $16 for a salad. That said, it was delicious and I'll be back if I need something tasty and convenient to eat while I'm in that area. read more

First time and had the Spicy Korean Beef with Forbidden Rice bowl. Food: Decent in flavor. The portion size here is very small. I had maybe 1 oz. of steak, 1/2 cup of rice, and 1/4 cup mixed veggies. The forbidden rice should be "forbidden" because it was hard. I don't mind al dente but this was like barely cooked! They need to invest in a rice cooker and add more water and cooking time! Awful! Customer Service: The young latino man with dark black, shoulder length hair who took my order was not friendly at all. No smile or even welcome when I told him it was my first time. I will never understand why managers place unfriendly rude people as the first line of contact. Customer service will either make or break your business. I agree with fellow Yelper, Vincent, that it is not worth coming back. Picazzo's about a mile down has better food, excellent, feiendly customer service, and value. You get more of a variety there and all ingredients there are organic for less the price!! As I'm writing this, I am think I will need a snack in an hour due to the poor protein to carb ratio!! The 3 kids were begging me to take them here because they love the cookies and lemonade. I drove all the way home (30-40)min to open up the cookies and find only two so of course the kids were fighting. I ordered a salad with the dressing on the side which they forgot.. luckily I had a little bit at home. My bowl was amazing the next day at work for lunch as usual. My husband ordered the steak bowl with extra dressing which they also forgot! The kids three bowls rice was way over cooked they didn't even touch them barely. The five lemonades were great as usual. The service was amazing the staff are all very friendly. I've been here ten times and never had any issues until this time. Overall a disappointment. The kids are always beggiNg to go here so hopefully next tIme wiLl be better although I am hesitant to give it anoTheR try figuring how much I always have to spend!! read more

Love these style restaurants but this place wasn't great. Ordered the prosciutto and chicken sandwich. Waited 17 minutes for the food to come. Bread was not fresh, prosciutto, cheese and fig jam was missing from 1/2 of the sandwich. Not sure how you mess that up. Staff is everywhere but never asked if everything was ok. won't be coming back anytime soon. read more
