From their faded red paint on their building to their frozen to be fried fries , THIS WAS THEE WORST BURGER JOINT I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. How dare they call that mush they serve chili. The lady at the drive through couldn't even get my order right nor hear me correctly ( voice box didn't seem to be working properly) I can't and I won't finish this disgusting meal. My drink even tasted as if they were serving just tap water and syrup mixed together. Waste of money and time. NEVER AGAIN. read more

Food safety alert: Watched the dude behind the counter wear the same blue rubber gloves to mop, put out wet floor signs, wipe tables, give customers bathroom keys, make cash transactions, and prepare chili cheese fries... again, using the same pair of gloves. Didn't bother to change those filthy gloves before resuming to prepare food. The worst part of it all: the first order of chili cheese fries he prepared after handling the customer bathroom keys and cash went out to a family that fed some of the chili fries to their toddler. Not sure what else he did all day with those same gloves, and I don't want to know. It seems that he thinks the purpose of rubber gloves is to protect his hands from his work environment, not to protect your food and customers' health and safety. Are workers not trained to change their gloves before resuming their food prep duties?? Avoid!! read more

Employees are RUDE ASF, always staring while eating, they make you feel uncomfortable, if I could give 0 stars I would, all the lady's there are b****es, they forsure don't like there job at all, I was there today 9/01 around 11:35pm they close at 12am they gave us our food at 11:53, and they gave someone there food that ordered behind us at 11:50 and they gave our food to go because they were about to go buy because the guy behind us was that lady's boyfriend or sneaky link she didn't say nothing to him, then he sits across to us and that lady goes up to him and says just wait for me outside for they can see you leave and they'll leave, like b***h what ? Then we told her how unprofessional she was and said said "idk" in Spanish like what? My friend invited me here a few weeks back and the food was amazing. I have made this my go to place for fast food now. I don't understand why there are many bad reviews. I guess it just depends on your experience. There is hardly a line and I have never had more than two cars ahead of me. That means the service is fast. I'm greeted right away, my order is read back to me and everything is fine. I used to ask for everything on my burger but realized I like it better without mustard. Every time I requested this, they get it right. The service and food is a lot better than other fast food restaurants. I will keep going back and try different things. read more

This is not your typical Tommy's Hamburger but the purpose for this location is to keep people from crowding up the original location on Beverly and Rampart and put that good chili taste within reach. For those that live in Downey, Bellflower, Paramount, Artesia, Cerritos and La Mirada this is as close as you will get. Parking lot is small and bathrooms are outside but will suffice for those who are looking for late night eats and are desperate for a good burger. The area is ok but the service is a hit or miss. Remember that this location is meant to fill in the gaps between the Los Angeles, Long Beach, Huntington Park and Orange County locations. If you want the true Tommy's experience, go to the location on Beverly and Rampart. read more

I have to do some grocery shopping at HMart and was craving for chili cheese fries so I went to Tommy's for lunch. Inside, it looks kinda rundown compared to other locations. The cashier counter is not as open as in Pasadena. The food is good just like any other Tommy's. The cashier was nice and friendly to give me a refill on soda. Folks have said how the original location, at Beverly & Rampart, is the only one worth going to. I'm beginning to believe them. Though I've had good luck at other branches, this particular location just doesn't seem to belong. They can't even seem to get a very simple request (i.e., grilled onions, rather than raw) - even when repeated - correct. I only treat myself to Tommy's once, maybe twice, a year. From here on out, only Beverly & Rampart. read more

I only ordered a chili cheese fries. Unfortunately the fries were under cooked and very little chili. It seems to be a trend at this place. I ordered the same item and it wasn't impresse 10/22/2019 Fries still poor. I asked for well done fries I got soft fries. I asked for an iced tea but got a Pepsi this is getting worse. read more

Very classy of a place. What can I say about this place that will not be mistaken for a five star restaurant. Oh, how about a restroom towel paper as a napkin? The dispenser is on the wall near the cash register. Boy, you would have assumed the toilet is in the dinning area. Places in the table are kept clean...once in a blue moon. I looked outside, it's not a blue moon. Take a risk on that. The burgers are awesome. Heavy doses of chili all over the beef patties are awesome. Chili over the fries are just doozer. The food is not big minus, it's the dining and ambiance of this place that are in the toilet level. Oh, I would not recommend coming here late at night as the so called "bad elements" will make an occasional appearances after 10pm. Stay clear and locked up the car. If you're looking to bring a buzz down or just looking to indulge in chili then Tommy's is the place. Can't say that I'm the hugest fan but it does its job when it comes to easing a burger craving. The portion of chili that's given on a burger and fries is pretty massive. Prepare yourself for one of the messiest eats you'll have at a burger joint...and it's that same messiness that keeps bringing me back every so often. Especially after a night out with friends and drinks. Tommy's isn't a must have but it never claims to be either. Therefore, Tommy's is a cool spot to grab food from time to time. Decided after so many years to check this place out again since chili sounded pretty damn good. I owed lunch to my roommate so I went to pick us up some hopefully delicious goods but was completely let down which is why I am writing this. I first ordered the double cheeseburger with no no onions meal with an upgrade chili cheese fries and a regular sized drink, then a chili cheese dog with no onions for me. I went up to the window and they asked me what I ordered then rang me up since they didn't even write down my order originally, then they forgot to charge for the chili cheese dog. My problem there was that the chili cheese dog with everything was listed as 2.75 + tax and i was charged 3.70 for it, how the hell did tax amount to nearly a dollar when i didn't even get all the toppings. Well whats a dollar right? I lived a mile from this place, not enough time for food to get that cold. My friends chili on the burger was cold, I tried it myself and it was room temperature. WTF right? Well I took a bit of my chili dog and the chili was warm, not scalding which is fine with me. But the hot dog itself was terrible. The texture of dog itself was rubbery and was either stale or not cooked, and had a terrible taste, the bread was somewhat stale but I ate about half the bun just to eat the chili. The chili Cheese friends were small which you wouldn't expect for a $1.75 upgrade on top of the regular price of fries, an it was piece of cheese with chili on top. The chili overall wasn't the best, I honestly think Weinerschnitzel makes better chili and that's saying a lot. Look, I am a fat dude, I always eat all my food no matter what it is, so for me to throw food away should say quite a bit about the establishment. The meal was about 14 bucks and neither of us was satisfied or filled. The food wasn't good, it definitely was not worth the price, and was just overall disappointing. I guess that is what I get for going to Tommy's but honestly I would not recommend this to anyone. I didn't even give the scraps to my dogs because it was so bad. read more

I used to bring my friend here every Tuesday for lunch. She was blind and on a walker. Because I came so often , I met the manager Jose. He is / was ALWAYS so nice and accommodating to us. He would be in the back office sometimes and we would ask for him just to say hi. The workers here are pretty nice too. It's always clean and bright when I go into this store. I could go to other Tommys that are closer and o me, but I prefer the kindness and great customer service I receive at this one. ThaNks for having people like Jose working with your company , it makes for a great experience every time. read more

Customer service here is absent as well as the speed of service. Waited at the drive through speaker for about 4min before they said "welcome to Tommy's I'll be right with you". Only one car was in the lane. Wienerschnizel down the street seems faster and friendlier. Customer friendliness goes along way. read more

Love the chili, make sure to go inside to eat cause when you order extra chili (which by the way is free along with extra of any of the stuff on the burger by the way) in the drive thru, it just doesn't happen. This Tommy's is the best tasting one around even better than the original by Rampart. The Tommy's on the way to Vegas off the 15 frwy hooks up the extra chili to the point where it's rediculously delicious!!! If you need to go to the restroom, wait till you get home. read more

Tommy's what happened? It used to be that th me chili was the best thing ever but now with the stinginess of your chili on burgers..a thin layer on top of the fries or even a tamal..makes you think you guys are putting a bit on purpose possibly to save money and charge the public more..hmmm. Your burgers used to taste juicy and fresh..now they taste Dry..the beef Patty as if it's been previously frozen..its very disappointing.. Tommy's may still have the taste and that's why people keep going and going but the Freshness is gone..that's sad. read more

You want it greasy and dirty and coming out your butt looking the way it went in? This is totally the place for you! Chili burgers, chili fries, chili tamales, and chili dogs. Junk food heart attack heaven. The chili honestly doesn't taste like real chili but you can't stop eating it, even though you know it's probably really horrible for you! How do repeat an order back correctly and yet manage to charge it wrong. We've come here multiple times and our order is always wrong. If you want to keep coming back because your order was wrong or they forgot something than this is the Tommy's for you. When I received my order I noticed it was short one meal. We finally had to tell the employee in Spanish. Then she had to grab another employee to help out. I used to love this Tommy's. I'm no longer coming here. I think this is the worst Tommy's I have ever been to... my daughter is a student of nearby Biola University and after visiting her one weekend we decided to stop by on way home... The burgers were put together atrociously... my burger had a crushed top bun, and it was COLD !! Like they had it there on the side and when a burger was ordered they just grabbed what had been sitting there. All of our burgers were cold and sloppily made. Our drinks were the last to come out and my son had to stand there to wait for them. Gave me a stomachache the next day... won't be stopping there again! I have been coming this Tommy's location for years and I have had nothing but great experiences. Recently though for whatever reason the service seems to be really bad. I don't understand what it is but orders take a long time, they've been wrong, I see people angry ....frustrated.... things I would never experience or see before. It still gets packed...but when it does it seems like there is an apocalyptic event going on. The food is good, which is why I give it 3 stars. But if you don't believe what I just typed visit it for yourself. The wait is incredible! Especially when there are people! read more

Still the greatest, greasiest, tasteful hamburger in SoCal. It is not something that you can do too often, unless you want to have a heart attack, but the combos are so good that are irresistible. Once in a while, the chili cheese burger with chili cheese fries are just from heaven. read more

This location is definitely generous with the chili! Anyone who is a fan of this restaurant, knows that the chili is what we all come for! Very clean and lots of seating! You think within walking in and seeing no customers, you'd be helped immediately. Sadly that wasn't the case! Anyway, I was helped but the lady who helped me wasn't very friendly and seemed like she had no patience. Food is great. Not this EXACT location but the Original Tommy's chili cheese burgers and OF COURSE the chili cheese fries with those darn little yellow peppers..that will wake you up in the middle of the NIGHT( -_- ) Wifey and I had just came from the AMC movies and I guess we were having a moment so we decided to stop by and eat here.
