Used them for over a year, not a problem. Its been 2 years sense we cancelled and moved, and I still get random charges. Whats bad is they continue to do so, even after changing card numbers, and Discover doesn't understand how they can randomly charge like this. The website said if you called before noon, they could come out same day and I called about 9:15 a.m. When I spoke to the scheduling person, they said they could come out two days later which honestly is fine and not that big a deal. So I scheduled it for two days later and the day before I got a call from the company confirming the appointment for the following day. I took off work and was waiting at home and 20 minutes before the two hour window of when they were supposed to show up, they call and asked if I had an appointment today. I said I did and they said they would have to reschedule. I'm not a big fan of wasting my own time and also taking off work for a company that won't even show up. They do also have a money back guarantee if you are not satisfied with their service they will return or refund last two service amount but then they come up with bs excuses that it was told to do this do that and not return the money for anything that they did that didn't help anything they were called for. Here's your warning, do NOT use Orkin. They may have been a number one company once, but all they do now is try to push to get you into a monthly plan. For the first time in our 30 years at our home we started having an ant problem. We called Orkin for a single application which they said would take care of the ants. They did the application and said if we saw anything within a month we could call and they would repeat the application. We saw more ants a couple of weeks later and called. They did a second application. About a week and a half after the second application, the ants were back inside and outside the house. They came back and the guy treated outside the house and just left. Never came back inside. I complained to Orkin and got a call from a guy who then tried to guilt trip me on the phone about how much of their own money they were spending on our job and how they were "nice enough" to come out for the third application. Imagine, they did three applications when they told me one would do, I paid to have the pest eradicated, but they were being "nice" by coming out again spending their money .... BUT .... (heres where the other shoe drops) if I wanted to sign up for a monthly service they would be happy to do it. That's their goal folks. They are NOT going to fix your problem up front because then they can't make more money. They are going to do a half-assed job and then claim you need a $90 a month service. It's all a scam in my opinion and my recommendation is run away from these shysters as fast as you can. Note that on their web site, you can't leave a review. We used them in Dallas Texas and couldn't have been happier. This location is simply the worst and it seems they don't know what they are doing. we had a gentleman come to our home and do an inspection, but focused on the attic and replacing the insulation instead of what we had originally called him out for which was termites. We discovered several things, you may pay for the service but you have to pay an additional $300 and some change annually to make sure you have a Guarantee each year. This means you pay about $345 a year times five to get a five year guarantee along with paying for the services. They are the most expensive on the market. They really focused on selling us a lot of things we truly didn't need. After having several reputable firms come out and review the property we would've paid Orkin a little over $26,000 for services that really we would've been out maybe $11,000. Now add to that the office doesn't really know what the sales people are doing and the sales people seem to have a very difficult time talking to the office. There's a series of automated text you'll get that confuses the situation even further, because the text don't match up to what anyone is saying. Without my permission, they ran a credit check on me and miss read the credit report. The sales person tried to scare us into purchasing things that just want necessary. Communication was nearly impossible. Trying to figure out what was going on and when they may start the work. The people in the office were just rude. They treated you as if you didn't matter and talked down to you as if you were five years old. I simply wouldn't ever, I simply wouldn't ever, use then, or refer them to anyone. We had Terminix over. They were a fraction of the cost answered all of our questions up front, everything was clear and very easy to understand. The work can take place within 24 hours as opposed to Orkin who continue to say you've got a hurry and make this purchase. We're booked out weeks in advance, which was not exactly true. read more

Stay away from this company at all cost! Major scam.!!! They took my money no services were rendered. I was lied to that they were going to keep a hold on my card until they did the actual treatment they charged me thousands of dollars before anything was done because of being lied to I canceled! Been disputing my card a man by the name of Kurt branch manager said he would reimburse me while it was pending that has not been done. A man by the name of Kevin was the salesman who lied. Do not spend thousands of dollars there's a lot of places one that are more reasonable and won't lie to you. I read 335 bad reviews. I was told the new policy you have to pay before services. The salesman said that's not true that he was still selling and they weren't charged. So it sounds like the left-hand does not know what the right hand is doing. read more

Was SUPPOSED to get treated for Ants. What a Complete waste of time. Orkin, it may not mean much to you but You don't know what I had to do today!! you can't just play with people's time. You've been a "reputable" business way TOO LONG for that!! How dare you? You Lost my business twice in 30 days?! First time was a no call -no show!!! Second Time they lied and said the tech would come between 12-2, he didn't. Then, the lady from the cypress office called today and said the tech had a family emergency and they had no other techs that can come today ( I tried to be understanding). I got irritated when I went about my day in my house, minding my business and the tech CAME to my house 20 minutes later (UNEXPECTEDLY )!!! He arrived with an old school "bug spray" machine that made me doubt that the service was worth it in the first place. The orkin man said he didn't know ANYTHING about an emergency... then said he had to Leave because my appointment was already rescheduled for 2/10 @9:30 am!! How annoying, i am going to use another company. I called to cancel....I wasn't going to leave a review but you deserve to know what happened and why you lost my business..... UPDATE: 2/10 If I hadn't canceled Orkin They were supposed to come today at 9:30 AM!!! I called and canceled my appointment yesterday...why did orkin come to my house AGAIN UNEXPECTEDLY!! Orkin acquired the independent company I used for five years. I asked Orkin customer service twice to provide me with details of services they were providing. Never received anything! I then asked CS to have the manager call me-never heard from him. Received an invoice with a price increase! Obviously the manager is far too busy to speak with, or provide details of service for an existing customer! I called today to cancel my service and CS told me it is Orkin policy for the manager to call me to confirm my request to cancel! What a joke - can't respond until you cancel. I've used Orkin at my various homes for the past 30 years & have always been happy with the service. Until now. When I bought my current home last summer part of my closing demanding were that the previous owner have the home inspected for termites & I agreed to pay for the ongoing annual service of $171. No biggie until I receive my annual bill for $171 & it's not in my name. The account has my address & even my cell number associated with it. But Orkin put the account in the name of a relative of the previous owner (not even in the previous owner's name) & now are requiring a $175 fee just to fix their mistake & put the account in my name so I can pay them a $171 annual fee. Really? It's cost $175 to put a few buttons on a computer & change a name to the correct one that should have been on there all along? Wow. I guess I'll be calling Terminix now. read more

I signed a contract with Orkin after moving to Texas in 2013. The past 6 months or more have been the worst. The come when they want, even though an appointment is made for a different day. The most recent tech I've had, has been the most incompetent person I have ever dealt with. I have had to call the office on numerous occasions, only to be treated like they haven't a care in the world about my satisfaction. The only thing Orkin seems to care about is the money. Had home serviced for fleas. Orkin promised to call 30 days later and treat again if necessary. Never heard from them. Fleas got out of control again. After 45 days, had to call them myself. Fleas out of control in house. read more
