I went here today with an out of town co-worker. I've never been here before and usually don't frequent the Collingswood area, to be honest. But he wanted Sushi and this was one of the closest places that I located on Yelp. The ladies at the front aren't that friendly when you come in, but the server was fine and attentive. I had Miso soup, which was good, and also Spicy Crab Roll and the Spider Roll. Everything was fresh and delicious. I'd come here for lunch or early dinner only. Even though Collingswood is almost literally a stone's throw from Camden across Route 130, it's not really a diverse town, so the vibe is odd. Still the food here is good and worth a try, if you happen to be passing through on Haddon Ave.

I've been here twice since my first review. Unfortunately, my second time wasn't good; the fish was not fresh (it tasted like the ice they had it sitting on) and I did have stomach problems the next day. But the most recent time was a good experience! The fish was fresh again and so, particularly because this is a small local business, I'm happy to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Their sushi was fresh and tasty. I got the hibachi noodles and shrimp as side orders, they were perfect, forgot to take a picture tho. We didn't sit at a table with a chef bc we went for sushi, but it smelled so good I had to try. It was a great experience with reasonably priced food and good service.

Highly recommend this place!! Very knowledgeable about gluten sensitivity's & very accommodating with allergies in general. Fast service as well. Only complaint is the lack of parking, which can be a pain especially at rush hour.

This place was amazing! I went here on a Saturday evening with my fiancé. We both really enjoyed our meals! The service and ambiance were also both great too. It's also in a great location in downtown Collingswood. I certainly recommend going here! Its also a BYOB, which is great! I look forward to making another visit here soon.

We were here for hibachi, which my boyfriend really enjoyed I actually had sushi which was very fresh and tasty, also asked for a spicy Kani salad which barely had any crabmeat (had better).. service was also good and fast, ambience is fun they turn lights off and play music and sing happy birthday off course if your celebrating a birthday,, it's also BYOB which I love and you can also bring in a cake...

This was my first time eating at Osaka. It is in a very cute area with lots of shops to check out. I dined in for lunch and was happy with the spacing and Covid safety procedures. I got a sushi lunch special with two rolls which came with a soup or salad and a specialty roll. The dynamite roll was really really good! My friend got the shrimp tempura lunchbox which had lots of tasty things! Everything was reasonably priced and well presented!

I had requested a cozy spot not a table smack dab in the middle of the floor. We were seated at a banquette corner spot which was great. Interior is way smaller than I anticipated from seeing pics but is cozy. Our server, River, was friendly and informative. Food came out at a nice pace. This was EASILY the best meal I have had out in 10-15 years. Food was stellar. Each dish was unique, well seasoned, interesting, and balanced. Positively delicious. I am irritated I waited so long to come here. I don't live near Collingswood. Prix fixe tasting menus are typically not my first choice. My eyes missed the note on their site that ala carte is only available on Wednesdays and Thursdays. I have dietary restrictions and I didn't think I was that hungry. My dining partner is an omnivore but I eat vegan part of the week. I am more a vegetarian leaning pescatarian. I do not eat offal, beef, or pork. I am allergic to beef. Tasting menus are typically problematic for me. This menu was so varied and perfectly proportioned. I had choices I was very happy with. We walked out satisfied but not grotesque. What we ordered- sicilian tuna - parsley, capers, calabrian chili, sourdough (supplemental $5) watermelon & stone fruit - mint-chili vinaigrette, fennel, stracciatella lumache - pancetta, charred corn, cherry tomato, soft egg risotto - zucchini, szechuan butter, pistachio, lemon honey Branzino to share - whole fish - tomato, black olive, fennel, burnt orange caramelized pâte feuilletée - yuzu, blackberry mint gelée, matcha crumb pâte à choux - craquelin, corn semifreddo, peach-jalapeño reduction Highly, highly recommend.

The four of us sat at the bar where Dawn (and her counterpart) took phenomenal care of us. It also seemed as if there were numerous regulars at the bar, all of whom were friendly and talkative, which added to the overall experience. We started off with drinks; Stoli Elit Martini, Hendrick's Martini, Blueberry Lemon Drop, and a glass of wine. The Blueberry Lemon Drop was really good especially if you enjoy sweeter drinks. I ended up switching to some kind of Maple(?) Fig Bourbon which was fantastic as well. The fried peppers they serve with the complmentary bread were out of this world. They actually convinced me to buy peppers at the store the next day so I could fry them myself. Prior to ordering dinner, we started with Caesar salads, which were dressed perfectly. We decided to split Crab Cakes for dinner which are served with green beans and mashed potatoes (as all of their entrees are). Let me tell you, these Crab Cakes were up there with the best I've ever had. They were big, packed with lump crab, and had a fantastic outer crust. We just got back from the Delaware/Maryland border and these were better than all of the crab cakes we had there. PSA: Make sure to get one, if not both, of Steak 38's table-side experiences. Our server, Chris, was fantastic, friendly, attentive, and took great care of us all night. Before we left, we had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Rich Parillo. The bartender made really great drinks so we were very pleased while waiting for our table. Once seated we were provided with water almost immediately and our server arrived shortly after. We put in our drink and appetizer order and then the amazing bread with peppers arrived (complimentary) and we were like two kids in a candy shop. I don't know what they do to those peppers but they're delicious ... and pair perfectly with what I call their pizza bread. Appetizer and drinks were superb and after putting in our entree orders they were placed in front of us in under 20 minutes - fresh, hot and delicious! The food is classic steakhouse done right--excellent cuts, cooked perfectly, with that old-school steakhouse flavor you just don't find everywhere anymore. Everything came out hot, fresh, and exactly as ordered. Service was outstanding as well: attentive, friendly, and professional without being overbearing. You can tell the staff takes pride in what they're doing, which really elevates the whole experience. If you were a fan of the original Chubby's, you'll feel right at home. And if you're new, this is easily one of the better steakhouses in the area. Welcome back, Chubby's--you were missed.

Our waitress was very friendly and ended up leaving a pitcher of water once she saw we were parched. The salad bar wasn't huge, but there were some cold dishes along with salad fixings, which is part of the vintage charm. The bread (not complementary) was also a huge round loaf great for sharing. The decor's medieval vibe is very charming and it's nice looking around the room. The kitchen is open to the dining room with big brick ovens. I had the prime rib which was big and juicy (the baked potato was fine but the Yorkshire puff was bland and barely editable soaked in juice - may just be I don't like this food). The steak came with a giant onion ring which was delightful, and it was cooked perfectly tender. This place thrives in your meat and potato staples, so not a lot of side options except what's at the salad bar. I learned later that this restaurant has been around since the early to mid 1900's. Plenty of parking in a large open lot. The place is very large and has one of the longest bars I've seen. The wood is very dark and you can see the chefs cooking over the hearth. They don't take reservations and won't see you until your entire party is there. One of the things I liked for our party of 10 was they had no problems with seating as they also have many large round tables. For mixed drinks, they make them pretty big and potent. For my martini, they sent back an extra glass. They also had great bleu cheese stuffed olives. We ordered onion rings (8 large to an order) and fried zucchini. The onion ring I had was pretty good. I didn't have the fried zucchini but heard it was also pretty good. Other than the light fare items, all dinners come with their salad bar which has both iceberg lettuce and Caesar Salad along with many fixings as well as cheeses and bread. I had the Baked Seafood Platter which came with scallops, shrimp, Clam Casino (without the shell), Maryland crab cake and a small lobster tail for $49.99. My wife had the baked chicken breast which she said was quite dry. The dining area is quite large and reminds me of the restaurants at a casino. Some in our group said it reminds them of Medieval Times due to the dark wood vibe. While I thought it was a bit pricey, I would still come back and try their signature steaks or prime rib.

We got the attention of our server and asked for bread. 20 more minutes and she brought small basket with 5 pieces of bread (for a table of six waiting over an hour now). We asked for more and 10 minutes went by, so we asked again assuming they forgot. We were told it's in the oven. Finally, another small basket of 5 slices shows up in another 10 minutes. After 90 minutes our apps arrived. Seafood chowder was ok at best, raw clams were tasty, salads and dressings were very good. Our meals came soon after, but total wait from when we sat was 2 hours. Steaks were very good, salmon was average at best, seafood pasta was ok, halibut special was decent. Overall, the entrees were forgettable. We ordered desserts which were surprisingly fantastic. The rice pudding, crem brûlée, and their cheesecake/ice cream were all delicious. Now back to the service....by the time we finished dessert, not one water glass was refilled and the table wasn't bussed. We piled our empty appetizers and salad plates at the end of the table and they remained there the entire meal. I know many people had great experiences but this is a definite one and done as everyone in our party agreed.
