Very disappointing experience. The hostess sat us at the closest table to the door. It was a cold night so I asked her if we could sit by the window instead because I knew we'd get blasted by cold air each time the door opened. All but one window table were available but she refused saying they're for large parties. 6 tops, 2 of us. Okay. I get it. The problem is, within 10 minutes, she'd seated two of those tables with couples, like us...couples who'd not specifically requested to be seated there. As she passed, I said, "That's not cool". She said "There was nowhere else to put them". No apology or offer to reseat us. She just blew me off. I'd chalk it up to bad luck but one of there was always one open window table the entire time we were there. And meanwhile, my wife was blasted with cold air every time someone entered or left. Our food was good, but the prices are a bit high for what you get. We had a lovely server who did a great job. But that hostess and her lack of customer service really impacted our meal. I'm sorry to say I was expecting a lot nicer place. We have friends who have raved about this place, but I can't agree. My wife ordered the fish of the day, blackened Red Snapper, and it tasted like rubber! She sent it back after the waitress agreed that it looked over cooked, and the second piece came out the same way! I ordered the "Low Country" which said a "pound of shrimp with potatoes and sausage", what they missed was the whole plate was spicy and a heavy Cajun flavor, which I just can't do anymore . We were both hesitant about complaining, but when the bill hcame and they charged 50 cents for my wife's hot water, that was the straw that broke the camels back! I got ice water, there was no charge, why 50 cents to pour hot water into a cup! Sadly, we will not return to this establishment. read more

The manager, Brandi, needs to be fired. Horribly inconsiderate and rude in a health hazard situation where our table was literally vomited on from the upper deck as we were dining. No apologies given AT ALL. Multiple of our families vacation here every year and will NEVER give our money to this establishment again. Instead of asking what the restaurant could do in this situation, Brandi offered to get the person who was vomiting so we could confront them ??? No confrontation was needed or wanted to be had. Fun place on the dock to get a good beer and appetizers! Ambience is a little lacking but is made up by the friendliness of patrons and wait staff. After a day on the beach you can hit this place in shorts and flip flops and have a great time in a neighborhood gem. Hard to find but worth the look. read more

Let me start by saying this place is beautiful! You can sit outside, right on the bay. We caught a beautiful sunset when we were there for our last night of vacation. The food was just okay. Well, the place was crowded when we arrived but we were told the wait would be 30 minutes. I was extremely doubtful but sure enough almost exactly 30 minutes later we received a text that our table was ready. Excited, we headed to our table but that's where the real waiting began. Another 30 minutes later, after flagging down a server, we were finally acknowledged. Since we had so much time to peruse the menu, we went ahead and ordered drinks and food. Well, another 45 minutes later we still had no food and empty drinks. I'll update this review after we eat, assuming the food comes eventually. Update: The table next to us was seated at the exact same time as us and they have already eaten, got Togo boxes and just got their check. Another update: Food finally arrived 1 1/2 hours after we were seated. Looks good and tastes good but not even close to worth the wait. Final update: I'm not one who wants my meal paid for or discounted when things go sideways but what I would have appreciated would have been a visit from the manager. The server knew things weren't handled right and I don't believe it was technically her fault so she should have made the manager aware of the situation. To make matters worse, the bathrooms were filthy. No soap, no paper towels, bloody tampon and dirty (poopie) diaper just on the floor of the bathroom because the trash cans were full. Terrible experience. My friends and I sat under the porch and during our dinner, another customer vomited off the upper deck three times.We got thrown up on, our drinks, food, purses, and clothes. Crazy!! Staff was hesitant to move us to a different table. We spoke with the manager, Brandy, and she was incredibly inconsiderate. Not only did we pay for our meals, but brandy went and hid in the back while we stood around inside waiting for our checks. While I am totally understanding that this situation was not the establishments fault, the staff/ manager was incredible rude and inconsiderate to the situation and overall ignored my friends and I. I would specifically like to point out that we were the table directly under the vomit and other customers were attended to and my friends and I were ignored. The manager was not apologetic, personably, or courteous. Apologies go a long way and this establishment was not ready to give one as my friends and I were not able to finish our drinks and food. I will not be spending money here again as this place has a idgafg mentality to its costumers!!! read more

My first visit here was for a pop-up date night but the indoor restaurant was closed due to the devastating Sally fury. We ate good off an outdoor grill & enjoyed Red & the Revelers, it was a nice night out. l've always heard good things about this place so anxious to come back for the full experience at the locally owned and operated establishment. This is a relatively new restaurant but then there was Covid, then Sally so it's been a tough road. It's at Bear Point (Oso is Spanish for bear, cute play) with waterfront views of the marina and a adjoining outdoor bar and entertainment area. They are fully functional now with a pleasant a vibrant staff and it's a very nice dining experience inside and out. The menu isn't huge but they do serve fresh local seafood with varying off-menu specials. The seafood can be ordered seared, blackened or fried an currently features shrimp, grouper, snapper, crawfish, tuna, crab and oysters. There's platters, Po' Boys, tacos, salad, and quesadillas for the seafood and some chicken, pork and steak options as well. You can also get bowls, nachos, burgers, calamari and wings too. There's a full bar with specialty drinks and a modest wine list. We were greeted and promptly seated and our server Alexis was very friendly and took great care of us throughout our meal. My honey went with the blackened snapper special and I opted for the fried grouper. Her snapper with fries a d slaw were very good and my grouper was spot on. Big filet that was perfectly seasoned and cooked with outstanding fries a s southwest slaw. The hushpuppies were disappointing because they were bland and overcooked but everything else was very good. The interior is very comfy and the outdoor seating is fantastic with fans and misters everywhere and the view is outstanding. Just outside there's a separate bar with lots of outdoor seating and nice size stage. This is also a nice spot to catch a small sunset! Bottom line: We thoroughly enjoyed our experiences here and will be back. Recommended Note: They opened a sister Restaurant OSO Early (formerly Barefoot Island Grill) just down the road in OB. Loved this spot! The seating was immediate on a Thursday- we called beforehand to check busy times and the hostess was very nice and assured us they'd make room for us. Our waitress Sarah was so attentive and nice!! We were a table of 13 and she was on top of everything before we even had to ask. The menu here has lots of options for the whole fam- vegetarians included! All of our food came out perfectly within 10-20 minutes after ordering. We've eaten at several restaurants in Orange Beach since being here this week and this was by far the best for all the reasons mentioned. :) read more

Kid 2 ate it without any complaints. 3 - fish taco plates. "I'd have rather ordered a fish plate from Captain D's." I really can't say anything positive about it. The queso and chips it came with were ok, I guess? 1 - fried shrimp tacos - "At least they're better than the fish..." Which wasn't saying much. Writing this review makes me even more irritated. LOL We are here in our last night and made a huge mistake. If this were an Amazon purchase, I'd be sending it back. Our waiter was Moonshine and he was great. Super friendly and all that. This place gets all the points for the atmosphere and location, perfect for a sunset dinner. You can even see dolphins swimming through the channels from the deck. I want to start this review by saying I WILL be back!! I got the fish burrito which on the menu sounds amazing, on the plate looks amazing, on the palate it was horrible. The rice overpowered the burrito and you were lucky to get a bite of fish in the burrito. ( the bartender took it off of my bill by the way...Thank You!! ) HOWEVER... I shared the shrimp and crawfish quesadilla with my friend and OMG...it's a must have!!! The craft margaritas and cocktails were great as well! After waiting 40 minutes My spicy chicken sandwich was engulfed in grease and completely soaked the bun with grease causing the sandwich to disintegrate in my hands. Wow...it is hard to come up with the right words to describe our experience. We love Orange Beach & have visited MOST of the restaurants on the water. Dining here was our best meal by far... Started off with the Parmesan Oysters which were cooked to perfection. We had the shrimp skewers & red snapper catch of the day. Both had their own unique salsa that perfectly complimented the fish/shrimp. To finish our dinner w added the Bushwhacker Cheesecake.
