I came here for a work event. This place was located in a beautiful, scenic area. They catered set food including skewers, mini burgers, and stuffed mushrooms. The mini burgers were so good. The view over the city was beautiful as well!

We had a great anniversary dinner at Osso. Daniel was our server and he was super friendly and attentive. We shared the house bread, tomahawk steak, broccolini, and chocolate hazelnut crunch cake. All delicious. Everything is à la carte so it can add up to a pretty penny but worth it if you're celebrating a special occasion.

My friend and I made a reservation for a weekday evening. Most of the restaurant was empty around the time we came, and the servers were attentive to our orders and needs. Buttermilk Fried Calamari: This was a crispy dish that came with two delicious side sauces. The portion size was decent for its price and good starting appetizer! Broccolini: I enjoyed the seasoning of these vegetables with crispy toppings. New York Steak Dried Age: I loved the juiciness of this cut, and it was well-seasoned. New York Pepper Steak Au Poivre: This was unfortunately too peppery for my taste. While I could appreciate the quality of the meat, the pepper was seasoning was too strong and the only thing I could taste.

Saturdate well spent here . We started with their grilled octopus which was very tasty, flavor just exploded in my mouth and the octopus was very tender We shared the 45oz tomahawk and had a side of broccolini and potato au gratin, perfect portion for two people A nice bottle of red wine to pair nicely. For dessert we had the cheese cake . Our service was excellent!! He was very nice, attentive and friendly, even the hostess was very polite and offered to check in my coat. Beautiful atmosphere, very cozy and comfortable black leather chairs. Parking could be a challenge but there is a paid car garage next door . Highly recommended!

We enjoyed an early meal before the Aura show across the street from this hidden gem of a restaurant on Nob Hill. Device from Riley and other staff was gracious and kind. The food was better than expected if a tad under seasoned. We had beautifully turned out fried calamari, a delicious steak burger, and a perfectly medium rare wagyu steak frites. It was a lovely meal in a tucked away spot. But, pro tip, skip the restrooms or bring a friend to get there down a creepy elevator.

Love the burgers and steaks. Prices are high but they give you a lot of food and it's top-quality in an upscale setting and location (the bottom of a Nob Hill condominium next to the Masonic, so it's good to see a show at.) Fries are very good and steaks are juicy. Best burger in SF IMO and it's 2 meals! I love the art deco theme. There's an excellent happy hour at the bar or in the lounge from 5-6pm daily. $8 cocktails and drinks and also steak frites or sandwich for under $30! Service is excellent. I love Eddie and Riley at the bar! I come back and I bring friends. More people should go to Osso for date night, special occasions, a night cap, before or after shows, or just because!

Such an amazing experience we had at OSSO Steakhouse on Friday night after traveling to San Francisco to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Wow walking into the restaurant I felt like I was transported to the Deco era. The service was impeccable and so attentive. We ordered the dry aged ribeye that was made perfectly with a baked potato with all the fixings. We also had the Cesar salad and broccolini bit so good! They brought out 2 glasses of champagne to help us celebrate and that was so thoughtful! The restaurant is so well decorated and fabulous. I definitely recommend this restaurant I know you won't disappointed!

I'm a sucker for a steakhouse. Osso delivered. The ambience is quite nice, albeit with a little bit of a "hip" edge as steakhouses go (mainly due to the stylish lighting on the sides of some of the booths). The service was excellent, as far as being attentive and friendly. My New York strip was delicious. The broccolini and French fries are both great sides. My son got a wedge salad, and the bacon in it looked amazing; very thick pieces. The reason I'm giving a 4 rating instead of a 5 is that the drinks, as well as the food, took a very long time to come out. I don't blame them; they were quite busy and were nice enough to accommodate our party of eight without a reservation. Additionally, one member of our party didn't get his steak with the rest of us. It seems to have been left out by accident, and so they had to rush it out. The restroom is downstairs and you must hop on an elevator to get to it. This isn't a plus, but it wasn't a big deal.

Food was ok but not great for the price. I got a thick filet mignon and asked for medium rare, but they gave me mostly rare and bloody. The creamed spinach was too watery and the mashed potatoes had a layer of oil on top. Broccolini was very good. The crème brûlée was slightly overcooked. Also the bathroom was very old and very dirty, and you have to go down these old creaky elevators and step over a bunch of dirty towels where the roof was leaking to get to them. Also a bit dark, no one around, and scary. Not what you'd expect from a "fine dining" establishment. The service was great, though. Ambiance was nice in the restaurant, just don't go to the bathrooms.

Ambiance - interesting table setup. There were a number of booths (reminiscent of a diner). I went with a group of 4 people for dinner. The restaurant was mostly empty yet we were crammed into a relatively small booth. We saw larger tables and were genuinely surprised our server placed us at the smaller table. The table height was a bit high in comparison to the very plush seats. In other words, seating was a bit awkward. Service Our sever was a bit pushy starting us off with cocktails instead of the wine we wanted. Otherwise he and the bus boys were very nice. Food We ordered a lot of food, including a tomahawk steak for the table. We asked for medium minus or medium rare plus (we were told they couldn't do that) and we received medium well much to everyone's dismay. There was sizable about of grizzle too, which was disappointing. It was OK. The au poivre sauce was very salty. The other sides were decadent and good. Everything was good, but nothing special about the meal. Overall It was an OK dinner. I am sure there are other options with a more reasonable price point in the area.

Such excellent service from the moment you walk in the door. Staff were very attentive making sure we were satisfied with our seat. Our server Nico was kind and with us the whole way making sure everything was to our liking down to the temp of our tomahawk steak, which was cooked perfectly medium rare. A manager even checked in with us and chatted about our wine selection, which was nice to get that kind of attention. Dessert was divine, the crème brûlée perfectly silky and not too sweet. The cheesecake the perfect balance of tart and sweet with a light crust. Excellently done.

It's a shame its taken me so long to write this review! Old school vibes without being dated if that makes sense! Beautiful, classic place with incredibly friendly service! I need to come back and try the food, but the bar was amazing. Maddie got us right for the whole evening. She is a sorcereress behind that bar! Yall better go see about her!

Visited this place while visiting San Francisco and so glad I did! They made our anniversary night fantastic! I had the Cesar salad to star and halved it with my guest and it was perfect and overall good salad. Then on to the main course that was the 24 dry aged ribeye which was cooked perfectly to medium rare and had fantastic flavor. You could taste aged beef and that's a great flavor profile that I truly enjoy. The sides were great and the baked potato with large chunks of bacon was good and the best side was the broccolini. It had this tangy, crunchy and somewhat a bit of seasoning or spice that made it burst with flavor in my mouth! The ambiance is unique with the art deco theme and really sets you back to years of old. This was a five star experience. I was going to knock it a star but decided not to for the fact that I had a 24 ribeye and I cook good quality ribeyes all the time and this one had quite a bit of fat on it. II had to guess, probably an easy 4 oz of fat for sure. Overall the flavor of the steak and sides along with the great service settled it at 5 stars and will certainly be back!

How is the Dress code? Casual or business cas?

Business casual would definitely seem more appropriate with the environment.

Is it easy to walk-in for dinner MON evening at 5 something?

During the holidays, probably not, unless you are a small group of 2 most likely - reservations are always recommended. But 5 seems early enough usually from what we've experienced.

Did they do away with the crab and mussels?

Do they have gluten free? And I don't mean " no flour" but my friend has a severe allergy so it's gotta be legit, not cooked near gluten food?

I'm not sure, we had a steak dinner that night. Better ask the restaurant

    Valet or street parking?

I had to look for street parking. It's a busy area so I circled the blocks a few times!

Did they have their fryer back? I am missing those extra crispy potatoes and delicious roasted vegetables.

No fryer. No more Brussels sprouts or crispy potatoes.

Is the free valet parking gone for good?

The most recent time I was there, the Valet Parking was nowhere to be seen. So, maybe it's weekends only? Check with the maitre d on the phone.

Do they still serve the fried stuffed Spanish olives?

We do not have them on our current menu. You can see our current menu on our website at ossosteakhouse.com.

Definitely crispy but I would say it's about 1/4 of a regular sized artichoke but maybe they're using an artisan artichoke or something. It was fine, reminded me a bit of crispy Brussels sprouts chips but better. Shrimp cocktail: a table favorite, shrimp was good and tasted fresh. plenty of horseradish for the radish-heads. Prosciutto board: definitely a board! You pick at it, you eat from it. Its not a wow and I think for the price I could make one triple the size at Costco (or any grocery store) but remember! You're here for the ambiance. Steak frites: when the steak came out I had to hold back a laughter. I didn't look up a photo beforehand but man, was this the tiniest pricest steak I've ever seen. I think I could take it in two bites if needed. It felt like the seen of "perhaps a salad for the lady?" except this size is served to all customers regardless of gender. It was cooked to perfection and the peppercorn sauce was yummy. The fries were eh fine, I've had better but the star of the dish was tinnie tiny Chilean Sea Bass: I love a good sea bass and I've had my fair share. My ultimate restaurant favorite so far is R&G lounge and so when I saw the price tag on the menu, I wasn't too worried but it came out. Eyes were pre-popped out from the steak fried size but I think the sea bass also took a hit from the shrink gun! the shrink gun must've also been HOT since the fish was dry and quite tough. Chocolate chip cookie: it was super yummy. Crispy outside, gooey inside and so yummy I'm thinking of it right now. Raspberry sorbet: a little TOUGH like it's been too far back in the freezer a bit however perfect with the cookie. Creme brulee: I typically don't like creme brulee but I liked it a lot! Silky, creamy, yummy.

In my opinion, House of Prime Rib is simply not what it once was. What used to feel like a…read moreconsistently excellent San Francisco dining experience has become disappointing and unreliable. The quality of the food is inconsistent, and when I raised a legitimate concern about a poorly prepared and partially burned cut of prime rib, the staff's response felt dismissive and uninterested. They did not meaningfully address the burned meat, the inconsistent preparation, or my concern that the meal was significantly different from what I had received during previous visits. Please see my photos, same request and same cut of meat, but vastly different results. I get that this is an off menu request, but it is allowed and my expectation is consistency. I like a seared prime rib because searing prime rib preserves its tender, rosy interior while creating a hot, flavorful crust, rendering some of the exterior fat, and adding a satisfying contrast between the crisp outside and soft interior. It's simply perfect. Like a Perfect Manhattan, seared prime rib is all about balance; the best qualities of two contrasting styles coming together to create a richer, more satisfying experience. Mistakes happen, but a restaurant's response matters. Unfortunately, the lack of care shown afterward was just as disappointing as the meal itself. For a restaurant with such a longstanding reputation (and prices that reflect that reputation) I expected much better. House of Prime Rib is no longer the dependable, high-quality experience it used to be. They are uninterested and dismissive of consistency. Other longtime regulars have noticed this as well, but the cuts simply are not the same size they used to be. The King Henry VIII Cut is starting to feel less like a royal feast and more like the king has been placed on rations. Unfortunately, it seems shrinkflation has now infected yet another thing (look at my photos). Just my opinion though.

The entire staff was welcoming, fast, and genuinely attentive, which is no small feat for a large party. The food exceeded every expectation. STK went all out on surf and turf: impeccably cooked steaks, fresh oysters, tuna tartare, sliders, salmon, lobster, shrimp pasta, and chicken. Everything came out hot and beautifully presented. The cocktail program is just as strong, with high-quality drinks. Make sure you save room for dessert, because the dessert is an absolute must. The cheesecake, donuts, and warm butter cake were incredible, and the apple pie was easily the best I have had in a long time. Beyond the food and service, the ambiance hit the exact right note. Great energy and vibrant music, but dialed in at a volume where everyone at the table could easily talk and connect without shouting. Easily a 5-star night. We will definitely be back.

I had a flight of their amaros and loved them all, followed by some excellent cocktails that highlighted their products. Dinner menu is designed for sharing/family style. Everything was delicious and creative. We started with their crispy chicken skins, a bitter lettuce ceasar, octopus salad, and their duck confit with a surprising corn couscous. Our server was excellent, with full knowledge of their spirits and lots of guidance for tasting. Loved the bright comfortable dining room, with a bit of vintage flair.

Very much appreciated that accommodation. Everything on the menu sounded delicious and tasted even better. There was a special with homemade focaccia, ricotta, pesto, and eggplant + tomato tapenade. I could have eaten a bowl of every ingredient individually, and together they were even better than the sum of the parts. We also had the curry chicken croquettes, citrus caesar, confit octopus, and gnocchi - all fantastic. And the drinks - next level. I had the Sam Fernando and it was dangerously drinkable, I had to order a second. My partner's Bird of Paradise bamboozled us with its clarified coconut milk - so wild to drink something CLEAR that tasted so much like a piña colada! Our other two party members had NA drinks that were also nuanced and delicious. I will very eagerly come back whenever I have the opportunity!

I loved the decor all around the restaurant with adorable cow art and a very clean feel. The servers and hosts were coming over to chat with us and just made us feel so welcome and special. From the second you walk in until the second you leave you are in good hands. It's also right across from the train so it's super easy to get there! I don't normally like horseradish, but the burger came with the perfect amount of horseradish where it tasted very fresh and added a good burst of flavor without being overwhelming! The fries were delicious and crispy. 10 out of 10 food, service, and environment. I would give them more stars if I could.

A charming little bistro inspired by the Marlowe cows, I'm assuming, managed to stun us with several memorable dishes. The warm deviled eggs were an excellent start. Savory yet delicate enough to not weigh us down right at the beginning of our meal. The horseradish aioli wasn't for me, but I can see its appeal for a certain audience. You give me a Calabrian chili sauce and it's guaranteed to make me happy and this shrimp with sweet corn was no exception. Again, light but a punchy flavor that was enjoyable. I could go on and on about the different dishes we tried but the real standout of the night was the pork tenderloin with chorizo and peaches. The sweetness from the peaches somehow managed to enhance the flavor of the chorizo. This dish gives you a bold, savory and sweet bite all together but still won't have you feeling super heavy. The portion size is perfect. Im hoping to return soon for another exquisite meal.

I wanted to take her to one more nice place before heading back home. Chef Tyler Florence's Miller & Lux next to the Chase Center in Mission Bay seemed like the best option. Parking was a bit challenging, as the spots across the street from Miller & Lux were five minute passenger loading only after 6pm. So I had to park in the stadium garage, which took about 10 minutes to find a spot and walk all the way back to the restaurant. From the moment we were escorted upstairs from the bar area, the service was top notch. Very congenial and accommodating. More importantly, my mom felt well-taken care of by the staff. They gave us our choice of a central booth or smaller table next to the expansive window overlooking Mission Bay. As we are both light eaters, we decided to share an order of the Filet Mignon and Tableside Caesar. After the soufflé-like bread puff and butter appetizer, the salad specialist rolled up his cart next to our table. He got busy mixing together mustard, Worcestershire sauce, shaved Parmesan, and several other ingredients then tossed it with neatly trimmed lettuce. Finally, he topped each salad with candied Meyer lemon, more shaved Parmesan, thin croutons and plump anchovies. There was also lemon zest dashed around the rim of the plate. I ate each leaf while instead of cutting it. Seemed easier that way. It had a nice balanced taste and was one of the better Caesar salads that I've had. The Filet Mignon was a bit rarer than the medium rare we requested. It had almost an Akami tuna like texture inside, which is not what you'd expect from beef. Possibly some aging broke it down to make it that smooth. They were very accommodating to take it back and fire it on the grill a little longer. It came back with the perfect amount of doneness. The horseradish sauce we added gave each bite a nice cream and spicy kick. We had an ode to the now extinct Orange Julius' signature flavor, orange and cream in the form of a soft serve sundae topped with a sugary macaroon and tart tangerines. It definitely brought back some memories. Thanks to the staff for making dinner for me and my mom a pleasant and enjoyable experience with their hospitality. For an upscale steakhouse and seafood establishment with exceptional service, Miller & Lux is a great option in the City.

We were greeted by the sommelier who opened up the wine bottle we brought and also made some recommendations. She also brought over the champagne cart and I started the evening with a glass of the Collet Brut which was crisp and refreshing. A perfect palate cleanser to start off with the appetizers. The complimentary pop over is still one of the most delicious treats ever! It was brought over with a classic butter and a flavored butter that were just to die for. Now of course, the caesar salad is still a must here!! Prepared tableside this is part show, part experience, and full flavor bomb. I love watching the dressing come together and the freshness of every ingredient being used. Just the aroma of the olive oil and parmesan cheese is amazing. The Caesar salad was dressed to perfection and perfectly crisp! Also got the oysters, because they were an absolute knock out the last time we were here. And still one of the best! It is quite literally the cleanest and freshest oyster I've ever had. Our waitress did an amazing job of explaining the whole menu in great detail. For dinner entree, we went with the ribeye, served with bone marrow to split between 2 with a side of the mac & cheese and accompanied with creamed horseradish to give the steak an extra kick. To be honest, that steak needs nothing extra. It is "melt in your mouth" tender and extremely flavor. I love the addition of the bone marrow because it enhances the richness of the steak. The mac & cheese is also very indulgent and rich. We were way too full for dessert so we went with a ball of the espresso gelato and were given complimentary carrot cake bites which were soooo gooodddd. I wish I wasn't full because they're pastry chef is the best! Hands down the place for a 5-star lux dining experience!
