Still solid. The food is consistently top tier. The service is the same. The whole place is a vibe. Prime time reservations are hard to come by if you want a private table.

The food is delicious here. They aren't always open though and only for dinner. I believe mostly the weekends. It's next to ILL Verdi tucked away in the casino. Finally had a chance to go and it was worth the wait. Very nice decor here and there are tables and booths here. There's a sushi bar as well. I believe it used to more of sushi place in general but the menu had way more than sushi. We were lucky enough to be in a booth. The food and the service were both very good. The General Tao's chicken was excellent as was their steak. I'll definitely be back. Wish they were open more often. They might have expanded hours during the summer season.

It was 5 stars for the first time we there, but the second time we came back, the short ribs were too burnt, partial not eatable. The service was good and nice. It is a nice place to eat, nice seating, got small and big tables . Most of the foods are still pretty good and we will definitely be back again.

Best time!! We drove down to Atlantic City for a show in the Tropicana and decided to try Ossu. It met all my expectations. The classy, but relaxed decor was very inviting. We had a reservation but arrived 15 minutes early- thankfully they were able to seat us. Our server was Stanley and he was the best. Super friendly and knowledgeable. We started with the Lobster Dumplings and the Pork Gyoza. Both were delicious but the Lobster Dumplings hit the mark. Hubby asked for a recommendation and Stanley stated we couldn't go wrong with the Mongolian Beef. He was so right...it was so delicious. I got the Blue Crab & Shrimp Tempura Roll. I love sushi and this was one of the best taste of sushi I have ever had. From start to finish Ossu met the mark. We will for sure be back when we visit AC and in the mood for Asian!!!!!

    Felt like Foo in Tokyo

So Foo got pretty banged up at Chelsea pool on Patron from Daniel the bartender, and Foo needed fuel to keep gambling and doing hi jinx at the Trop. "Ah so, my name Foo, reservation for one at Ossu, xie xie!" "Oh, why yes, I have you right here Mr. Ling, Mr. Foo Ling!" "Ni hao baby because I know how!" I said to the hostess. She give Foo side eye, Foo knows to calm down now. "You have been to the pool today I can tell, you have your Asian glow on Foo!" "Yes, Foo got the flush!" I said as I sat down at a wonderful table with a great view of the dining room. Then, my man Stanley the waiter comes up to me and said, "Yo, Foo, Ni hao!" I dapped him up. "Usual my man?" "Yes Stanley, a Kirin beer, bao bao, dumplings and Mongolian beef with white rice and eight General's chickens on my eight sided plate!" "For you Foo, very good and Stanley gets chop chop for Foo!" "Hop to it then my man! So, Foo got beer and settled in to my nice table overlooking this Asian street vibe tavern. All Foo needs is a pod to crawl into and sleep this krunk off, but Foo needs fuel to stay up all night taking the house to the bank, my bank, the Bank of Foo. Before I leave I give Stanley a big hug and put a huge wad of folded grat into his waiter coat pocket. "Thank you Foo, I appreciate your patronage and welcome you here at Ossu Asian Tavern anytime." "Fo shizzle," said me, Foo to Stanley my best waiter.

The food, service, and atmosphere at this spot in Tropicana Casino were all outstanding! I love trying unique sushi creations, and all the rolls were unlike anything I've ever tasted. They also had Japanese whisky flights but I didn't have a chance to try jt (don't worry I'm returning to try jt!)I especially loved the lobster dumplings--they were so good that I couldn't even stop to take a picture! We also ordered a variety of specialty rolls, as pictured.

Just came back to Ossu for the second time and simply must reiterate -- this place is SO much better than Nobu nearby and at a fraction of the price. This time had the whole crispy fish and sushi deluxe platter as well as returning to the five spice rib and tuna poke appetizers. The whole fish was one of the best we've had, not at all greasy, perfectly cooked, with a very yummy sweet and sour glaze and lots of baby bok Choy on the side. The fish in the nigiri in my sushi platter was SUPER high quality and fresh and very generous slices. Again can't recommend Ossu highly enough!

Staff and ambiance were really nice. What I liked about the food is that it was not overly salty. We ordered the chicken and steak yakitori which came with two dipping sauces, the fried rice and the edamame wontons. The fried rice was good for two people. The edamame dumplings are underwhelming in comparison to Buddakan's version. One thing I will note is that the bathroom is shared with the one next door so you have to push a heavy door to go to the other side and then pull to open to come back in. That can be troublesome for some.

Kajino roll. Best roll this year.
    Bret K.

Very similar to the Borgatas Izakaya which is a great thing both food and decor wise. Small menu to ease your worried mind, Layla. The kajino roll was the best roll I've had in '23. The broth in the edamame dumpling dish was drinkable on its own. Japanese soda might be the coolest thing ever. A glass bottle with a marble in it that looks like juice until you work your magic on top and release the bubbles. Pork belly bao bun was delicious just could have been more meat inside. Japanese Manhattan was the right choice off the drink menu. I love Japanese whiskey but def a one and done with the prices ranging from $16 to $45. Service was 5 stars.

Sushi not the best. The skewers are really good as well as the edemame. Probably better for snack or lunch than dinner.

    16 oz Ribeye

Food was really good, waitress was friendly, attentive and service was quick. For our appetizers we got the "Shrimp Tempura" speciality roll, the "Suteki" and "Shittake" sticks. The shrimp tempura roll and suteki (filet mignon sticks) were delicious and fresh. The Shiitake sticks I didn't like so much, the sauce on them made them taste strange in my opinion. For my main meal I got the 16oz Ribeye and it was flavorsome. The sauce that came with the ribeye and suteki were both sweet and appetizing. The Ribeye cut easily, came with lots of fat and didn't take long to chew. The only reason I gave 4/5 stars instead of 5 was because of the atmosphere. The restaurant is nice but very dark where we were sitting. On top of that the walls are also black so I was very sleepy the entire time, to the point where I had to take my food to go because I was too tired to keep eating. Overall: Waitress was friendly and made us feel comfortable, food was delicious and fresh and the dark atmosphere made me tired.

Ossu good - get it? Well, most of it was. We had the: -Crispy chicken wings (very good, the coating reminded me of beer-battered fried fish) -Ossu roll (excellent, the mashed avocado paired well texturally with the tempura calamari and asparagus; soy paper instead of nori here was a good move) -Shishito peppers (excellent, the crispies and sweet and sour sauce provided a balanced appetizer dish) -Yakitori skewers of filet, pork belly, shiitake (good, the sauce tasted a bit simple, but there's not really a high ceiling here) -Fried red snapper (ok, the presentation and bok choy garnishes were nice but the fish was over-fried and rather dry) Service at the sushi bar was accommodating and informative. Overall, I would recommend.

Finally visited this place and they had a late night happy hour. Sushi rolls were only $7 and they tasted very fresh! The atmosphere and staff were also super nice.

The spicy wontons were delicious and the Chilean sea bass was flavorful, but had a bit too many small bones for my liking at that price. For the price compare to taste and quality of ingredients, it's definitely too expensive for a below average pho. Overall: there are better places to go. It also would have been helpful to know roughly how many courses to expect so we could make a more informed decision. That said, the food was absolutely phenomenal.
