I was surprised at how large the soft shell was, both were absolutely delicious. There are a plethora of servers, runners, and hosts servicing the dining room. I go back once in a while for a special occasion. The servers and hostesses are all very friendly. There's a lot seating available. It has a subtle, low-lit atmosphere. You have to try their tuna crispy rice and shishito pepper appetizers! We get them every time and they are delicious! The wagyu tacos and lobster dumplings are delicious but not as filling. They run out of their uni often, so if they have any left for the night you definitely need to order some. They are pricy but are delivered fresh. They're always sweet and creamy every time. I love their toro hand roll and scallop hand roll. They have A5 Wagyu beef cooked at the table with a hot stone. It's priced per ounce and the cost can add up quickly, but it's a nice treat to try and share with others. The Chilean sea bass miso was rich and well seasoned. This is the best sushi place I've tried in AC so far!

Went back again after a 5-star-worthy visit the first time!…read more Once again this place blew me away! This time I went with my mom and her boyfriend and we all loved the food and left with our bellies full! Our server was very attentive to us, kept our drinks filled, cleared our table of dirty plates quickly, and didn't make us feel rushed or pressured at all. We were disappointed to see that there was no soft shell crab, honey-coconut shrimp, or egg custard dim sum (all of which were present during my first visit and I was looking forward to) but given how wonderful everything else was, it wasn't a big deal The building was still crowded even though we went on a Tuesday evening, but I hear on weekends the line can be out the door so in comparison to that it sounds like we avoided most of the crowd. There were consistently workers keeping the food stocked and the building clean aswell. Despite the mild disappointment of my second visit, I'll still be returning and continuing to recommend this place to friends and family :)

We were there on a Monday at about 4 p.m.. I was very disappointed to find no whole Maine lobsters, the reason for me taking her there. They changed the policy to weekends and holidays only for the whole lobster. Granted they still had lobster, but as a Ginger Scallion Stirfry dish. The lobster was cut into small pieces, which were overcooked and tough and dry. The sauce makes it much messier to eat. I didn't care for it at all. The huge jumbo crabs I'd seen on my previous visit, on this visit were very small. I was rather embarrassed, as I'd talked it up so much to my sister and I promised to take her there for her birthday. I was sorry she did not get to experience the same experience I'd had a month before. Yes, there are still many options to choose from. That was not the issue. When you have expectations of something and are letdown, that's a disappointment. The food was still pretty good.

There was an obnoxious intoxicated guy being impatient because the place was packed and the waitress didn't immediately greet him and he kept screaming and flailing his arms saying "Hellllo" It was painful to watch that but the waitresses still handled it with grace and were kind to him. If you go out to eat and the place is extremely busy, please remember the waitresses are only human and are doing the best they can. I was a waitress for years, and it's not an easy job.

The ramen was good too and they have chili oil to make it as spicy as you like which I was a fan of. The steamed oysters were huge, wish I would've known that prior to ordering. I asked my waitress and she said they weren't too big, imagine my surprise when they were the size of an outstretched hand! The spicy wontons were delicious and the Chilean sea bass was flavorful, but had a bit too many small bones for my liking at that price. They were out of a few different drinks, so that was disappointing The experience between my first and second visits were entirely different. I felt ignored during my first visit, but the service was spectacular during my second. Hit or miss it seems

I loved that we walked in and most of the patrons were Asian, translation - yep, food good! Started with the Spring rolls, which were, as expected, nothing to blow your taste buds away, decent. We also tried some Pepper Squid, which was ok. I think more pepper would have been better, as it lacked any discernible pepper seasoning. Onward to the Sweet and Sour Shrimp and Vegetables. Wow...well balanced, a terrific freshness, and the broth was spot on. We then tried the grilled pork, which was good. The server did not speak English well, so it's best to point to the menu item you want, as if you leave it to the server, you may not get what you expected. Yes, I will visit much more often. We came with our friends who are Vietnamese, and they speak very highly of this place. Service: Service wasn't great. Staff were not friendly or too welcoming and don't come to check on you throughout the meal. It was a bit chaotic when they were serving the food. The staff didn't get orders correct and there seemed to be confusion. My dish was the last to come out, and a staff member had to ask me again what I ordered before bringing it out. Ambiance: The place is a good size with many tables that can accommodate large and small groups. The place does get packed, and there is often a wait during peak meal times. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant!

Management was nice enough to identify what she could have on our recent visit. The manager also said that the low sodium soy sauce they use doesn't have cornstarch in it. However, my question is; why can't the Chef or one of the cooks make, for example, fried rice using the low sodium soy sauce? Are they that bad that they don't know how to modify a recipe? I've been to many places that modify their menu to accommodate an allergy. I got the firecracker shrimp with brown rice. The shrimp was tasty but not as hot as i'd like it and a little on the sweet side. My wife did get a nice salmon dish which was fine for her allergy and she did enjoy it. Unfortunately we just had salmon the night before so she was looking for a change. The place itself looks great and the service was good for our large table.

We said we were very adventurous and, not really knowing what to expect, did not specify a budget. In hindsight, that was a mistake. As the meal went on, especially when the lobster course arrived, we realized we were likely in for a very expensive evening. I wish the staff had given us at least an estimated price range or an idea of the final cost before starting the menu, even though we had not provided a budget. It also would have been helpful to know roughly how many courses to expect so we could make a more informed decision. That said, the food was absolutely phenomenal. The lobster special was one of the best dishes I have ever eaten and easily the best lobster I have ever had. Every course was beautifully presented, thoughtfully composed, and full of incredible layers of flavor. The service throughout the meal was impeccable, attentive, knowledgeable, and truly deserving of the restaurant's reputation. Overall, Nobu delivered an unforgettable dining experience with exceptional food and outstanding service. My only criticism is the lack of communication upfront about the expected cost and scope of the omakase. A little more transparency at the beginning would have made the experience perfect.
