Fried Seafood Platter poke bowl blackened fish bowl
    Julie W.

Crab cakes, poke bowl, seafood platter, and blackened fish bowl for $77. Ok quality but not a lot of quantity for the price. The poke bowl barely had anything in it, the bowl was only halfway full and the seafood platter was half french fries half seafood.

This was our first time trying this place, anytime we drive by they are busy! So we were super curious to try their food. We ordered online for pickup, which was great, very easy and straight forward. Food was ready within the time frame specified and still hot by the time we got it home. French fries were really nice! I usually don't like this style of thicker fry, but they were really crisp, not crunchy, they didn't taste fishy at all. I was pleasantly surprised. Fish was underwhelming, you expect the fish to be the star but when the fries are what you remember over the fish, something is not right. Don't get we wrong, it wasn't bad! Fish was well fried, flaky and fresh, but it was super simple, almost borderline bland. The portion was also a lot smaller than what I expected for the price point, 4 small, half of your palm, 1/2 inch thick pieces per order. Some pieces were thinner, some thicker, I'm not sure how they portion it, maybe by weight? It's a no frills kind of place, so I understand the store bought, prepackaged, industrialized, processed tartar sauce, but I wasn't expecting it based on the price point and image/reputation. It seems as if the family fry for 4 is the best value on the menu. It's definitely the way to go and if we order again, that's what we'll do. Don't be scared to give this place a try, I am still curious about the other dishes, but do keep your expectations low.

I stopped in the other evening after seeing their $5.99 Fish & Chips Special advertised on their truck on Rte 28! So glad I did! It's actually a full service Seafood Market situated right off Rte 28 in Cotuit locates right next to the 7-11. There's ample parking which is always nice & a very convenient location. It's a simple, clean little establishment. They had an array of fresh seafood & a good variety of seafood related dry & jar ingredients & goods for sale. (Cocktail sauces, tartar, spices, bread crumbs, sauces, marinades, etc) The staff were very friendly, nice, helpful & efficient! It took 7 mins after ordering to get my F&C! It was piping hot, fresh & an ample portion! I haven't ordered any fresh raw seafood but will be back to do so! DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED! ENJOY!

Was here in town for a quick weekend from the west coast and didn't have time to try many places. But my group was starving, and wanted to try some of the local seafood options for lunch. The fish itself looked super fresh and they had a good selection- but we didn't have any time to go home and cook. So, we got a few orders of fish'n'chips and some stuffed quahogs. Not going to lie, this is in the top 5 fish n chips I've had in my life. So good! The batter is light, mildly seasoned, and doesn't fall off. The flavor is there, and it plays perfectly with the fish- not over taking the taste with that fried oil flavor you get at cheap places. The fish was flakey- soft yet firm enough to hold it's shape and not fall apart. Fries were good as well. The pieces were all different sizes, which is actually a good thing since they're using fresh fish. But the portion size for $14 was totally fair- everyone was full. The stuffed quahogs were also excellent! Staff here was incredibly kind and ready to help some first timers. There is no dine-in, but after you order they will bring it outside to your car.

Fish market and fried food take out. Not a dine-in place (aside from one table). Seafood is fresh. Good lobster roll and crab cake.

What a great find Sue had a coupon for the Cove…read moreWe were pleasantly surprised at the upscale restaurant right near the end of the Main Street in Hyannis The service was superb! Katie was our waitress, and she aimed to please from the wine tasting to make sure we like our choices from the wine list We both selected the fish taco with pineapple salsa with a very nice dressing The unique potato chip fried fish was so fresh We opt for the garlic bread to go with our wine and that too had its special flare I know we both said this is a first but not our last trip to enjoy the food ,service and ambience . Thanks Katie for answering all our many questions and making so many extra trips to the kitchen for us Jackie S

We came here because of the great reviews and sat at the bar, but we were pretty disappointed. The…read morebluefish pate itself was good, but rather on the salty side, so serving it with salt and vinegar chips made it pretty much inedibly salty (this was taken off the bill when the bartender noticed we didn't eat more than one bite each). My first glass of vinho verde wine was served at room temperature (the second was fine), and the side plate I was given was crusted with dried food residue. I also watched an employee behind the bar wipe her nose with her hand and then continue slicing citrus barehanded. The chicken empanadas were good but not particularly special. We also had one of the small pizzas, which was the best thing of the night, crispy and flavorful (with a little char at the edges, which we like). The decor is a little bananas (different shades of green between the walls, the napkins, the barstools, and the banquettes; five kinds of lighting fixtures; lots of sound and lighting items with exposed, hasty-looking wiring). The bathroom door doesn't really close and lock properly. And the restaurant is really loud, even half full. The writing on the menu, about family members and special recipes, tells me that there's pride here and real care about making a good restaurant. However, without the attention to detail (particularly cleanliness and hygiene!), that's kind of moot. Three stars instead of two here because the pizza was good and the staff obviously care about customers.

So I got a mask, plastic bags, and figured I'd see which places were busy or if they were all jammed. I decided to "drive by" Roche's because I heard they deep cleaned every night. It didn't look crazy. They seemed to have a lot of their produce outside, which was nice. People were trying to follow the arrows inside the stores and most had masks. The store was spotless. The inventory was pretty good, considering we're in the middle of a pandemic. There was even toilet paper which I didn't need, but was nice to see on the shelves for future reference, lol. I guess what impressed me most was the staff. Even in all this, twenty minutes before close, they were friendly and efficient. The girl wiped down her station thoroughly before each order and was so personable and friendly. When the bagger found one of my items packaging had an opening, he let me know and happily went off to grab a new one. I can't even imagine the stress of working in a grocery store right now. They were great. I went in extremely stressed and nervous and the store was set up in a way I felt safe shopping there. (I still wore mask and gloves). I figured I'd let people know, particularly elderly people that while some stores seem to be out of control, it looks like Roche's is really going above and beyond.
