    Ika nigiri, oto roll
    Maya A.

We stopped by on a Saturday for a quick lunch. We ordered two rolls - the Oto roll and the Godzilla roll - along with soft shell crab for appetizer and ika nigiri. The staff was very friendly and got us seated quickly, which was great. Overall, everyone was nice and attentive. The ambiance feels like a typical Japanese restaurant - nothing too fancy or wow-worthy, and the food was similar. We left feeling satisfied, but nothing really stood out to us besides the crab. The fish quality seemed really good quality, which is appreciated. Overall a solid spot for a casual meal. Good quality and friendly staff.

First time sitting at this restaurant to order some sushi. The staff was very quick to get you seated. We went during happy hours. Ended up with five different rolls. The price was very reasonable, and the rolls were quite large. - Spicy Salmon Roll, was just okay - Godzilla Roll, flavorful, favorite - Spider Roll, a classic can't go wrong with this - Sleeping Tiger Roll, delicious - Mexican Roll, enjoyed the flavor

This use to be my go to sushi spot no more. There were some decent dishes like the real crab california rolls. But i tried to order the beef bento box and got this: 1) no more bento box 2) ordered medium rare and got well done beef not worth the $$

Expensive Sashimi and some of them are great. Seared salmon was Awesome

While this place is small and can't accommodate many people, they are certainly on the expensive side. We got their Nigirii platter which was $60. The quality of fish was good. The seared salmon in that was awesome. It's worthwhile getting a separate dish of that alone. The raw salmon was good too. California roll with fish roe (extra charge) was great. Service was okay. This is in a small strip mall and parking can be tight.

In my opinion this is one of better sushi places in Redmond downtown area. It is pretty decent spot and I am coming here for the second time in last year or so. Sushi are great and services are quick. The chicken Karaage was also great. In past I have also tried their vegetarian options of sushi rolls and all of them was good. I still remember they have something like Buddha roll - I would recommend that to my vegan friends.

I was visiting friends in Redmond so we came here for lunch. I just got back from Japan so my sushi standards are pretty high. I'd had takeout from here once before.. Everything was quite good and the service was friendly & attentive. Atmosphere was quiet and calm as there was only one other table occupied nearby. I enjoyed my nigiri sushi and my buddy tried Curry Katsu for the very first time. My other friend had the Tuna Dinner despite it being lunchtime. I had one of the big pieces of his tuna sashimi and enjoyed it. They didn't have the big bottle of sparkling sake we wanted because apparently no one orders it. Oh well. Too bad but we settled for a smaller bottle that was ok. I'd come here again next time I'm in town. Thanks!

This is my go to sushi gem, the sushi is always fresh and delicious. The price to option comparison is one of the best. The ambiance is warm and relaxing. I never have to wait long for service or consistent presence of a server. I recently went there for a bithday dinner and ordered "sushi boat for two" which was so amazing and then to end the dinner they suprised me with a bithday dessert. 10/10 highly recommend

Open for lunch at noon on a Sunday, Oto Sushi provided a great meal for the four of us at affordable prices in a nice, casual atmosphere. We came a bit early, so had to wait a bit for it to open, but the good news was that it left us off-street parking right in front of the store. We were the first ones in, and the server was friendly and let us choose where we wanted to sit. We ordered a variety of dishes, most to share, and all of it was good. They have a menu like a diner, but with non-binded, laminated pages...they must get mostly maki orders since I could imagine mistakes would be made if individual sushi was being ordered (no paper and pencil to place your sushi/sashimi order). Gyoza ($5.95) - pan-fried. made from frozen, store bought. Shrimp Tempura Roll ($9.95) - solid roll, decent size, tempura was cold but still crunchy. Bluefin Tuna Avocado Roll ($8.95) - great value, very creamy avocado, decent tuna. MT ST Helen Roll ($15.95) - a baked roll. OK amount, a bit messy, but tasty. 911 roll ($12.95) - loved the crunchy outside with fine bread crumbs. Would get this again everytime. Dragon Roll ($16.95) - most expensive roll of the day, because of the snow crab and unagi. Yaki Soba ($16.95) - plenty of soba noodles, mixed with well diced vegetables. Kake Udon ($8.95) - simplest dish to make (even at home), but a good way to warm up on a chilly day with a dependable, filling bowl. You pay at the table, and were out of there in plenty of time to continue our day. The ingredients weren't the best quality, but the value and quantity and service was excellent.

The missus and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary here. I booked about a month in advance…read morefor a 6:30pm bar seating, the $250 premium option which included A5 wagyu Filet mignon and some other high-quality choices. We were reminded by the text system a day and an hour in advance, and since it's tucked away in a plaza in Redmond, it's got plenty of parking. The only issue you may have is not knowing where the door is, because there's no big sign - the towa sign next to the doorway is smaller than the window panel in the door. When you step in, you feel a sense of quiet and calm - because that's what it is. Nori Morita (of the I love sushi group in Bellevue) runs a music-less, authentic Japanese kaiseki experience here. There's 6 seats at the counter, and maybe about 10-12 seats in the surrounding tables. It's a small space but it doesn't feel cramped. There's one all-gender bathroom and one single-stall female bathroom at the very back. Service throughout the meal was generally polite, courteous, and proactive. My water glass and the missus' tea were never left below half. They cleared each course quickly as we finished it, and the meal pacing is such that Nori can keep up with you, even if he's making all six counter dishes and all 12 table dishes at once. It's kind of like a maestro orchestra, but he has plenty of helpers - at least two wait staff, and an additional one or two sous chefs that are handling the auxiliary things around him. Food: while the meal was overall satisfying and filling, there was no standout highlight, or any particular dish that disappointed. It wasn't "meh", but it didn't really wow either the missus or I. I'm sure it'll be forgettable in a few weeks, which is the main reason for 4 stars - it's a bit more pricey than I'd expect for something this high quality. It qualifies for top 10 Omakase / Kaiseki in Seattle by nature of having high end ingredients and baseline high service quality, but those are table stakes given the competition.. The Miyazaki A5 wagyu was genuinely a decent portion size, but given that I've had it before, I guess maybe I expected a deeper flavour profile? The dish that I enjoyed the novelty the most was the Shabu Shabu king salmon - being able to eat sashimi-grade King salmon that you dip into boiling hot soup was a fun treat that definitely elevated the fattiness in the taste profile. Drinks: besides water, the missus ordered the hot hojicha tea, and I got the seasonal sake flight for $39. It was a decent selection, but it was heavily overpriced for the quality of sake and the amount you got. At most I'd expect to pay $25 for four 2oz pours, especially since one overlaps with Ltd Edition (kokuryu - black dragon). Verdict: it's lower half of the top 10 in Seattle - but it's still worth going if you want to celebrate something with high quality service and ingredients. I personally probably wouldn't do the $250 version again, but I'd be interested in doing the other ones. We both enjoyed ourselves - but idk if it's worth $700 for two people (service charge of 20% is added, plus tax...), so take that for what you will. Fun coincidence: all three couples seated at the counter when we were there were celebrating an anniversary - 11th for the farther couple, and 18th for the couple next to us. So for what it's worth - this place is definitely a destination for those that want to celebrate something.

When we made the reservation, there were several tasting tiers to choose from with the menu varying…read moredepending on your selection. Upon arrival, a printed menu was waiting at our table listing each course, which I thought was a thoughtful touch. In a way, I know what we would be having that evening and able to take it home as a memory of the experience. We had bar seating so we were able to watch the chef and sous chef work together throughout the service. Every dish was artfully plated with well balanced flavors. I recommend Towa for a special occasion, celebration dinner, or anyone looking for an elevated dining experience in the area.

It was the first dish that came out, so I ended up having pretty high expectations for the rest of the meal. Unfortunately, the rest of the meal did not live up to those high expectations. I ordered the unagi char siew which seemed really popular here and on Google, but it was just OK and a bit too salty for me. The wagyu udon was also just OK, but the soft boiled egg tasted like one of those preserved soft-boiled eggs you can buy pre-packaged at the store (weirdly rubbery and vinegary tasting). If I ever came back, it would probably just be for karaage and drinks. The drink pictured here is the hot chocolate hojicha, which was solid. I like their creative drink combinations and how they serve them--this one had a chocolate-covered marshmallow floating on top which was nice.
