Burnt Pizza

Ordered five pizza's for guests on Saturday Night Check#1. Ordered prior "To Cook it Light" Well.... All pizza's were "BURN TO A CRISP" All my guest said there must have been a fire at that location. We threw them all out. We won't be back 'Ever" case closed!

Had a really good post shopping bite to eat. Being close to NYC I always had high standards for pizza and I can say this is definitely a great option. The sauce isn't too sweet and it's not floppy. We sat outside and it was nice and it was small inside. The women who took our order took a while but she was new.

Pizza is my favorite food. Moving away from NY/NJ style pizza has been stressful but I read good things about this place so gave it a go. I appreciated that they have vegan options so that my partner can share in pizza with me. I grabbed a 12" half plain and half pepperoni. The crust was good, just missed being able to fold the slice. The side with the pepperoni had some spice to it, which I enjoyed. The plain half was lacking flavor. I would give it one more try but nothing to rave about.

Pizza, or lack thereof.

The pizza is great. But every time I come here there are not enough people working, and slices are not ready to go without a wait. This time: no pizza slices and out of half the soda options. C'mon dudes. You can't be a pizza and soda store that's always out of pizza and soda.

I love the pizza here, but I often question why I leave a tip when the staff and surly and in a bad mood all the time.

Hello all, Decided…read moreto go outside of the zip code to look for other possible veterans of the pie-making business a few weeks ago as the ones in my zip code were dropping the ball badly of late. One of the businesses that I ordered from recently gave me a pizza with no cheese on it. Another gave one to me raw, with the shredded cheese still falling off and unmelted. Before all hope was lost, I decided to go to the beautiful confines of Lynnfield, to see if the official "House of Pizza" for the town was worth the title they have on the marquee. As usual, I gave them an order for a small cheese, and just to make things interesting, I got some side orders of mozzarella sticks, and fries. Always best to test the cheese pizza first, because if that goes afoul, forget anything more involved. Fries, pretty simple as well. When I arrived there was a massive crowd there that had the exact same idea as I did that night, which was a good sign. Good news was that the order was just coming out of the ovens and it was hot and ready to go. Overall, the pizza was excellent for a small cheese, and the sides were cooked well and delicious. That was a good thing. However, considering the size of the small, compared to other smalls in the area, it is priced higher than others. Maybe that is because Lynnfield is a more affluent area than I am used to, but the order was quite expensive. I have been back a few more times since and have no issues with the quality or the service yet from them.

I was in the area on business so i decided to try Danvers Pizza and Subs. Husband has celiac and I…read moream lactose intolerant so the menu containing gluten free pizzas, apps, subs and calzones really caught our attention! I had a gluten free pizza with vegan cheese, green pepper and extra sauce. The pizza was good. The crust is great and the vegan cheese they use is good too. My only issue was that there was only a very thin layer of sauce - even with me ordering it with extra sauce. It needed a lot more sauce. The huz got a cheesy crust/stuffed crust style pizza with sausage and pepperoni. After actually not recommending i order this pizza, the guy explained that they take their gluten free calzone dough and use it to make the pizza so they can fold the edge over to contain cheese. It is a different dough/crust than they use for just a regular gluten free pizza. He also stated they did a well-done bake on this dough because it needs it. He also explained that they have separate prep areas for the GF pizzas. We appreciated that they are mindful of this and knowledgeable about their product in this manner. Its funny that I had to talk him into letting me order this pizza. He expressed fear about bad reviews. I explained we are a household used to GF items and its not a problem. Im happy to report that the pizza was very good. He had nothing to worry about with us. Also, when i tell you that the gluten free onion rings were AMAZING, believe me. These were some of the best onion rings ive ever had - gluten free or conventional!! Lastly, I also had a small meatball sub with a regular/conventional roll. This was also good. Overall great menu of conventional and gluten free pizza and subshop items. Gluten free items always cost more so a higher purchase total was expected. The only thing that i would say was unexpectedly pricey was the small conventional meatball sub coming in at $15. That said, loving the wide range of gluten free options and will be back when im in the area again.

"Marco Polo traveled by camel and pony He brought to Italy,…read morethe first macaroni" (Peter, Paul and Mary) We were winding up a whirlwind weekend doing touristy stuff in Kennebunk, Wells, Ogunquit, and Marblehead, and really weren't in the mood to travel far for dinner from our hotel at the SpringHill Suites Peabody. Lucky for us, it was just a 397-foot walk to an attached strip mall and Marco's Restaurant. And I'm gonna say it right here and right now... Marco's was one of the very best Italian restaurants we have EVER visited. It looks old school with its dark wood tables and chairs and wine bottle decorations. Oh, and the house music was Italian opera! When our complimentary breadbasket came out, we knew we were in for something far from ordinary, because along with the great bread were a trio of dipping oils. One came with a splash of Balsamic, one came with a mound of pesto, and one came with a trio of hot pepper flakes. Edoardo was our server and he couldn't have been better. He was dapper -- a really personable continental gentleman. Our order was simple -two entrees. Pollo alla Parma (Chicken Parmigiana) for $30 and Fusilli ai Frutti di Mare ($35). The quality and quantity of both entrees exceeded our wildest dreams. My wife's Pollo alla Parma was "Pan fried, breaded chicken breast topped with homemade tomato sauce and fresh mozzarella, all over homemade fusilli". Her portion was so huge it almost covered her entire plate, and I kid you not.. she got four servings out of it. And that homemade fusilli was FANTASTIC. My seafood and pasta dish was "Mussels, baby clams, shrimp, bay scallops, calamari in a spicy cherry tomato sauce", and yes... it was also served over that amazing homemade fusilli. There was a lot of seafood, a lot of pasta, and a lot of that spicy tomato sauce. It was exquisite and yielded two big dinner portions. I can't praise Marco's enough. We loved everything about it.

Got take out Thursday night, food was delicious and hot when we got home! We'll be back this week!read more
