Been here for brunch a few times, but never thought about them for a weekday lunch. I won't make that mistake again. My Cobb salad was great. Flavorful and full of ingredients. The sweet potato fries were also nice- liked em with salt vs the honey dipping sauce. The atmosphere is good here- quaint but always pretty packed! You know those places that you think, no matter what I say in my Yelp review, it won't give it justice? Yeah, this is that kind of place. I'll try, but you must try it for yourself. It's even worth a drive up from Lexington, or down from Cincinnati. It's located in the Mainstrasse Village historical district of Covington. This place had been in my bookmarks after I learned that they made the list of the top 50 places to eat in Kentucky. Yes, the place is small, but even on what would seem to be a peak time, they had plenty of empty seating. Maybe bit was a rare Saturday. Whatever the case, I consider myself lucky. I've experience a lot of brunch places in my life, and this place is definitely at the top of my "favorites" list. The brunch menu consists of nine items, each come with your choice of a side, from the list of six. I got the Otto's Benny. Thanks to Emily B's review, I requested to substitute the grit cake out, for the potato cake. The hollandaise was perfection! The entire dish was total perfection. Literally the best egg benny I've ever had. My daughter had the club, and the tomato dill soup. She raved about it. I tried the tomato dill soup, and it too was phenomenal. The classic bloody mary and mimosas were fantastic too. They make their own mix. I'd never had cheese as a garnishment to a bloody mary, but they did it up here. It was soooo good. Is it possible that I say, it was the best bloody mary I've ever had? I said it! Service was fantastic too. Our waitress was very attentive. I went to Otto's for brunch this weekend and I was pleasantly surprised. The menu is pretty small but everything is very high quality and very reasonably priced. With every meal you get to pick between a number of side options as well. I got the lox & bagel and it was the most loaded lox bagel I have ever had, it had so much salmon I was in heaven. I don't think I would get the tomato dill soup again but they had a lot of options so I am excited to try some other things. This has also been my favorite brunch spot in cincy, but my most recent trip wasn't quite as good - the potato cake side dish was lacking salt and they got rid of the shrimp and grits, which was great. But it's still definitely worth a visit! I got the BLFGT sandwich this time and it was yummy. Their brunch menu is small which is nice; everyone should still be able to find something they like. We enjoyed delicious cocktails and hearty sandwiches. Service was very attentive, almost too attentive at times, but too much is better than too little in my opinion. My girls had the BLFGT, fried egg, bacon (on the side and handed to me since they are vegetarians), lettuce, cheese and a fried tomato on a toasted croissant, and I had a chicken salad sandwich, also served on a croissant, and the soup of the day (I think it was potato leek - I know it was good). Went out for a special evening with my lovely wife and two grown up kids and we chose this cute little place for dinner. The atmosphere in the evening is quite lovely albeit a bit dark and quite loud due to how small the main dining room is. I was told that during the warmer weather, they have additional seating outdoors. The folks working here are super nice. The bar tender(Andrew) and especially our server. Her name was Anne and she was very helpful and attentive. As we often do when out as a family, we all order one thing and share it so we can try as many things as possible. For the starters, we ordered the baby kale salad and the Brussels sprouts but Anne also suggested we try the fried green tomatoes(very popular we were told). I have to admit, I am not a fan of Brussel sprouts... well until now, I could have eaten the entire bowl. They were just incredible. The salad and fried green tomatoes were quite delicious as well but so was so flabbergasted on how much I enjoyed the sprouts. Then came the entrees; the Filet with that just mind boggling delectable bacon-blue cream sauce, the pistachio crusted halibut, the sea scallops and the braised short ribs. They were all very tasty and we all had our favorites. We were never rushed or had the feeling that we needed to hurry up in any way like we've felt in previous family outings. We tend to talk allot about what's going on in our lives and, of course, the food. The only short comings we encountered but very fixable if we had asked. The short ribs needed more au jus as it had dried out just a bit and the salad needed way more dressing. Like I mentioned, we could have easily had these addressed if we had mentioned it. We will for sure go back. I'd really like to try a few things from the lunch menu plus supporting the smaller mom and pops chains makes me feel like we are supporting their families. #SupportLocal read more

First time here, on Father's Day Eve. Started with fried green tomatoes with a nice ranch-y dip. Split the filet with fingerling potatoes and green beans and the Cajun chicken pasta. Both very good. We asked the waitress how spicy the pasta was, and she was spot on about it being delicious but not overly spicy. Low heat, which is what we wanted. Ended by splitting a bread pudding. Food definitely delicious but server's rush to order and to leave is a huge minus. When a guest is still eating their delicious food and the server brings a check saying: 'Here's a check but whenever you're ready', it does really throw everything off. Leave immediately from Cincinnati and arrive 15 minutes later to "one or regulars came in we can no longer seat you at the bar". I told her we literally left our part of town to come down here because she told us she had saved 2 seats. There were multiple open tables inside but we were told "they were fully booked up". We had to leave. What a pretentious snobby lack of customer service. I've heard the food is phenomenal but we will absolutely never be back based on this experience. We found this place on Yelp as we were looking for a good new brunch place. I had high hopes based on reviews. I maintained high hopes after walking in. Unfortunately, we were underwhelmed. My wife and I shared a couple of items. The first was the soup of the day. Next came the Kentucky Hot Brown and finally the Turkey Cranberry sandwich. The soup of the day was the butternut squash. It looked great but the taste was just not good. It was WAY too sweet. It seemed like they loaded it with brown sugar. Huh? I'm usually a fan of this soup but this was borderline inedible. The next dish was the favorite of the three, the Kentucky Hot Brown. This one was packed with meat- turkey, ham, bacon. It had a lot of flavor with a béchamel sauce l, cheese and fried green tomato. The turkey cranberry sandwich did not have much flavor. But the sweet potato fries made up for it. So one out three. I'm giving this 4 stars for the ambiance, the friendly server, the KHB and the fact that I've only been here once. 3.5 is probably spot on. Unfortunately I probably will not be back. read more

What a quaint but vibrant place on Main St! Colorful outside and in and the atmosphere has me feeling like I had stepped into the corner of the French Quarter. Friendly staff, simple BUT delicious menu with all sorts of fresh goodies. We sat outside during lunch on a perfect April day and it was beautiful! I enjoyed the HUGE and chock full of fresh ingredients Cobb Salad that was overflowing with juicy chicken breast. Oh and the tomatoes seemed home grown and popped with flavor in your mouth O MER GOD! My lunch date enjoyed their Tomato Pie, which she devoured every last bite and had it with a side salad that come with a house-made balsamic (you could have chose soup or sweet potato fries).
