I arrived here for a Saturday night dinner and waited about 20 min for seats. We ordered a burger with fries, grilled shrimp on the barbie with mac & cheese & broccoli, and a prime rib with baked potato and broccoli. We also ordered the wings as an appetizer. The wings came along with the food, which came after 20min. The appetizer was supposed to go first before the food. The wings came burnt and dry, and we ordered with hot sauce. The wings were salty, and unfortunately, we sent it back. The burger came with broccoli instead of fries, but we were given a side of fries. The shrimp on the barbie was good but extremely salty. The ribeye came extremely dry and salty and was soggy and just gross. We asked to have it switched to a sirloin. The sirloin came, and it was raw, like literally raw. The outside looked good and well done, but once I cut into it, it was extremely red and highly undercooked. It was then again sent back to be recooked, and the picture attached was what we got. We gave up and didn't bother to complain. The manager did apologize to us and was lovely, but something needs to be done about how the food is prepared and cooked. The waiter also told us how it was the 3rd time we were complaining and how it would look bad on him and how this could cost him his job.. we didn't bother to complain or say anything after that. Decided to order Outback Steakhouse last night for pickup this morning. I ordered a steak quesadilla and their volcano shrimp. One of these dishes, I forgot which, came with a side, which I chose loaded mashed potatoes, which I chose chives and bacon. The ordering process on their website is pretty straight forward and easy to use. I opted to pay at the restaurant when I picked up the order. The food wasn't ready when I arrived at pickup time, but I didn't have to wait long; maybe 5 more minutes. The food was good. Steak quesadilla came with 4 pieces. Inside, the steak was cooked a nice medium, and was pretty tasty together with the cheese and sour cream. The volcano shrimp was advertised as spicy. LOL Yeah right.. I barely tasted any spice at all! But it was good, no complaints there. Decent portion size too, I would order that again. The mashed potatoes though, needed lots of work. this outback has been closed for several days despite advertising they are open and stating on their answering service they are open. i ordered for delivery, and even got alert that they "accepted" my order. i waited over an hour for my food....only to receive a call from the delivery service to tell me nobody is at the restaurant and lights are off!! had to wait several days for refund. I had lunch today at the bayside/bay terrace location. Sophia L was our waitress and she made us feel at home with her kindness and professionalism. She went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of and made sure everything was to our satisfaction. Later in the meal Tyrone came over to greet us and asked if everything was good. My wife jokingly said that my Mom's shrimp was spicy. He left and all of a sudden he came back with a bag that contained a new order of shrimp, baked potato & salad. We were not complaining about the food because is was delicious. To Tyrone, thank you for being the wonderful person you are and thank you for going above and beyond. Had dinner with family on a Saturday night; very pleased with our experience. We made reservations for 7 pm and were promptly seated upon arriving. With 7 of us, they gave us the large round table in the back left hand corner. Our waitress was Uistina and she was amazing. It was pretty busy but she made sure to be attentive and quick with getting anything we ordered or asked for. Everyone ordered the blooming onion; a great appetizer which is a giant onion cut up and deep fried with a special sauce for dipping. My only disappointing part of the night was that the blooming onion was burned in spots. The kitchen accidentally made two orders of blooming onion so Uistina gave us one on the house. They also give loaves of warm bread with butter for the table. I ordered the seared peppered ahi and it was delicious. A full order costs $15.50. A few of us got burgers, someone ordered steak and the rest got grilled chicken on the barbie. We were all pleased with our choices. Prices overall ran between $12-$20 per entree. It's been awhile since I've been to Outback, so I decided to stop by for a hearty meal. First thing I noticed was that the front desk was empty and it took awhile to get seated. Maybe they're understaffed at lunchtime? My server was good, however. I tried their Bloomin' Onions and their 4 course meal: Parmesan-crusted chicken with French fries, Caesar salad, baked potato soup, and a slice of cheesecake. Their Bloomin' Onions were good, crispy, spiced, and thoroughly cooked. However, the batter was overly salted, which was unnecessary since it had plenty of spices and came with a zesty dipping sauce. The baked potato soup was creamy and very flavorful, but also very salty. Between the cheese, chives, bacon bits, and even the sea salt on the table, Outback can benefit from easing on the salt. There's already so many flavors that too much salt only covers up the taste. Besides, they need to appeal to a larger audience, especially as the Baby Boomers are getting old and caring more about their sodium and cholesterol levels, Gen x and y being big about gyms, yoga, and fitness, and millennials still having young, well-working taste buds that haven't been totally destroyed by decades of smoking and heavily salted processed foods. The French fries were crispy and tasted perfect, by the way! The parm crusted chicken was good, but unsurprisingly salted - this time, I believe it was a dry rub consisting of mostly salt and pepper, grilled with the chicken before adding the delicious parm crust and diced tomato topping. The portions of the dishes were generous and great for a family or groups. Singles and couples could benefit if Outback had a well priced, leaner options (as in smaller portion sizes), or perhaps a lunch special menu. Cheesecake wasn't anything remarkable and was a tiny slice. They forgot to mention the different drizzle sauce they had - maybe that would've helped. Haven't write a review for a long time. Please be cautious of paying with your credit card in this Outback at Bayside. They passed the receipts to me for signature and tipping but not attach with my credit card back to me. So ended up I have to cancel my credit card and get a new card because I realized my credit card was lost on the next day. So even I called Outback and found my card but to play it safe, I cancelled my card. The food was not tasty at all and the services was not impressive. Hubby and I went to Outback Steakhouse last night. Place was not full but not empty. A decent amount of people. We requested a booth. The booth they sat us at was directly under the air conditioning vent. Within five minutes we asked if we could move. We moved to another booth. It was warmer. However, as soon as the booths behind us filled the a/c was felt again by us. It was so cold that my hubby went out to the car to see if he had a sweat shirt in the truck. He did not so he looked through out the shopping center but nothing was open that sold sweat shirts. The brown bread was brought to the table warm but by the time we buttered it the entire loaf was ice cold. Our food was very good, well prepared and quickly. Only issue is everything hot was cold in an instant due to the a/c. Our server said that they had turned down the a/c. It was 70° outside. The a/c should have been set to low within the restaurant. We do not believe that was the case. It was really cold in there. I had my fleece sweatshirt which I immediately put on once we were seated at the first both. Did not take my sweatshirt off the entire time we were there (way to cold). I understand wanting to keep your customers comfortable. However, when your customers are expecting a hot meal and end up with a cold one that is not cool (no pun intended). I am not a drinker. I drink here and there on occasion. Yesterday was Mother's Day so I ordered the Whiskey Apple. It was God awful. Could not taste a drop of whiskey. The apple flavor was terrible. The drink was extremely watered down. The blooming shrimp were delicious as was the blooming chicken. The mashed potatoes were not so great. There were chunks of undercooked (hard) potatoes mixed in with the soft mashed potatoes. If you've been to one Outback, you've been to them all. I thoroughly enjoyed dining here with two of my members from work. We decided to have a farewell luncheon. As per my usual, I ordered the Tilapia with Pure Lump Crab Meat, a side of Loaded Mashed Potatoes, and Grilled Asparagus. The tilapia was huge but the crab meat was on the small side. As well as the portion of asparagus and potatoes I was served. I felt the waiter was not on top of his game as far as refills and checking on us was concerned. He came over once and disappeared. This outback steakhouse is located in Bay Terrace in Bayside. The restaurant shares a big parking lot with many other stores in this strip mall. However, despite the many other stores, there are many parking spots available. There was a seasonal item that was amazing called moonshine chicken wings. When asked if the sauce could be purchased they did say they sold it but it was being sold in takeout containers. Isn't that a bit odd? Why not a real plastic or glass container? The steak here is really okay and sometimes subpar, you hope you get a juicy tender steak when ordering medium in any sort of cut, and sometimes, they provide you with something which is what cardboard would taste like. The blooming onion is the highlight of my visits here, it is always consistent and with the dipping sauce, you can go home satisfied. I really enjoyed Outback. We went 2 weeks in a row. I consider this place expensive, at least for my family. The reason we went twice in a row is because my picky husband LOVED the wedge salad. Don't know what they did to it, but he HAD to have it again!! The first time we had the steak and lobster. It was very good. The second time I had prime rib. I asked for medium rare and got practically raw meat. After a little more cooking, it was perfect! The sides were good and the broccoli was actually hot when served. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy an occasional blooming onion with a side of carbs (the Mac and cheese was calling my name) but you have to be able to get around the sticky booths and lingering smell. Beware, the cocktails are overly sweet. For the most part, everyone at my table had to water them down because it was so syrupy. SO IMPRESSED!! I've always enjoyed Outback, but everything today was five stars. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. We ordered the medium wings to start. These are the holy grail of flavorful wings because of how greatly seasoned they are. Just crispy enough, yet completely juicy insides, plus the blue cheese dipping (with real chunks) make a perfect plate of wings. Next up, the side Caesar salad was very fresh and crunchy. Flavorful dressing evenly mixed, lots of parmesan cheese on top, and dense crunchy garlic croutons on bottom. Pretty large portion for a side salad. My girlfriend opted for the baked sweet potato instead, which was nice and sweet with some cinnamon to complement. Our pork chop porterhouse was amazing. Well, actually when they first came out, the centers were quite raw, even though we ordered Medium. Our waitress was busy, so another waiter came over to help and gladly took our pork chops back to cook longer. Our waitress came back shortly afterward to check in. When they came back out, they were absolutely perfect! So juicy and tender. No need to add salt and pepper. The broccoli was steamed well, and was also quite juicy and tasty. Well! I have been to many Outbacks & I always have a good experience but last night's dining experience was superb. Each course came out quickly & the food was piping hot & flavorful! For appetizers, my friends & I shared the Fried Lobster & Shrimp bites with an awesome sweet & spicy chili dipping sauce, the loaded cheese fries with bacon because my pregnant friend was craving them for a week, & the bloomin onion petals which is a half order of the original app for $4 & truly perfect & less messy to eat!! My one friend ordered the bone in rib eye & raved about it! My other friend & I both ordered the Victoria's Filet with lobster tail. It came with drawn butter & we ordered the sweet potato with cinnamon & honey butter. It was seriously perfection! The steak was cooked to the temperature of our request & it was seasoned well. My family and I went in here for the first time last night and to be honest it was a very bad experience. Where do I even begin. First off, upon getting there we noticed the silverware was dirty and looked like they were not cleaned properly. More so as if they were just rinsed off and put on the table still with grime on them. Once we got our drinks it was difficult to get straws and once we got our food that's when everything really went downhill. I ordered the PRIME RIB SANDWICH and for $18 let me tell you it was so disappointing not to mention they literally forgot multiple ingredients that's clearly listed on the menu. They forgot the grilled mushrooms, the spicy signature bloom sauce, AND the creamy horseradish sauce! How do you forget 3 ingredients?? Anyway, aside from those things being missing the meat was rock hard and barely edible and believe me I'm not picky when it comes to meat. The French onion soup it comes with was cold and watery. Only thing that was decent were the fries. When I asked our waitress about the missing ingredients she apologized and was very kind about it however I believe it should've been brought back and made correctly. Instead I waited 25 minutes just to then be brought over a side of horse radish. (Where's the mushrooms and spicy bloom sauce????) at that point I just ate it anyway. (and unfortunately because of the poor texture and quality meat I didn't even finish it). My other family members ordered the the 8oz sirloins 3 course meal cooked medium rare. First of all they NEVER brought the cheesecakes that were included with the meal.... And when we asked for it we were told one minute and they just never came!! At that point we were so aggravated we just wanted to get out of there so we didn't bother to keep asking and waiting and just left without it. As for the way the steaks were cooked when they ordered medium rare... it was very clear the steaks were borderline raw. Yes, RAW. Not medium rare. Along with things being missing from my meal and their cheesecakes we also ordered a house salad as an appetizer which never came. We asked about the salad and was told it will be right out. Finally we had to ask again and someone brought it over. Unbelievable. All that being said I'm only giving this place 2 stars because our waitress was very kind. I really hate to give such a negative review but I have to be honest. But I mean come on. This place certainly deserves a 1 star. Attended this place for a special Yelp event and the manager(Dennis) and his staff are very friendly and courteous. We tried some of new menu items that were absolutely delicious. The 18 oz steak was cooked perfectly and the 6 layer chocolate cake was scrumptious. The lobster tail and shrimp dish came with 2 different sauces that offered two unique flavors. Service and food both get an A+++! The place is great for groups, happy hour and family dinners. The sirloin was ok made a little bit hard to chew. The shrimps were not a good deal, they were not tasty and awesome. But they were unlimited refills. The Crab & Avocado stack was the deal of the night. This one was the one that made an impression on me and my party. The breads were freshly made which were good when they are right out of the oven and you put some butter or cream into it. Service at that night was awesome. The attendant serviced us very good. He paid very close attention to our needs and when we needed refills on time. I only went here because I want for a group dinner a while back and I was pleasantly surprised so I figured I'd give them another shot. The place was pretty empty but somehow the service was still pretty slow. I ordered a bone in rib eye and the amount of fat in the steak was ridiculous (see photo). I never complain nor do I send food back if it's cook poorly. I'll usually just take it home and fix it up. The only reason I even ate this is because I was very hungry. I've been to Outback Steakhouse many times. I usually like their steak, but I think the quality at this location has gone downhill. We started with the Bloom Petals, which is a smaller version of their Bloomin' Onion. It was very salty to me and wasn't as good as the Bloomin' Onion. I had the 10 oz Ribeye Steak with a side of Mashed Potatoes and Mac & Cheese. The steak was decent. It was slightly overcooked and tasted very bland to me. On the other hand, the Mac & Cheese was pretty good. For dessert, we shared a Double Chocolate Mini Dessert Parfait which we both enjoyed. The restaurant had run out of mason jars, so they served it in a small clear plastic cup, and they didn't charge us for it. On the other hand, I thought our server was very good. hello this was a very bad experience, although I usually do enjoy going to this restaurant. Today the food was horrible and the server kept making mistakes and was very slow. They brought the wrong food, took forever to replace it-then it was completely burnt ( french onion soup)....they didn't give everyone food at the same time, did not offer any compensation for the late and burnt food...and to top it off, it was my daughter's birthday and they didn't even give her anything. They took forever to bring the food & check, and also for the desert--the cookie on the bottom of the ice cream was hard as a rock.
