The waitress was over burdened, it took forever to get drinks and even longer to get food. We were seated at 645 and still waiting for entrees at 830. When appatizers came out the kitchen had gotten the order wrong. read more

How is it that they run out of Bud Light at 5:00pm AND are trying to operate with a broken compressor that serves their draft beer? The bartender Hannah is great but the management should have their butt kicked. Not giving Hannah much to work with. Very disappointing. read more

I'm not really into reviewing the chains, so as far as the normal amenities, this one ranks an average. This is more a tip review than anything else. The reason this Outback stands out from others is the proximity to a number of different hotels. No need to drive if you are staying at the Holiday Inn Express, the Comfort Inn or Hampton Inn and Suites. Everything is real close at exit 141 off of 40, and the exit is pretty near halfway between Raleigh and Greensboro, so if you have business in the area, this is definitely the place to go(if you like the Outback, that is!). read more

I am an outback fanatic but for the last year this outback has went down hill! I don't know what has happened. The food is just not the same as it was 5 years ago. The service is horrible. We sat as soon as we arrived and the entire experience took 2 hours! I am so disappointed! read more

Our family has dined at Outback for several years, with few problems. Today was an exception. It took approximately 30+ minutes to get our food and when we asked the server what was taking so long, she replied that their take-out was really busy and that it was St. Patrick's Day. Inside, their were several empty tables. We felt we should have been given the same consideration as take-out. Also, not at any time did she come to see if our beverages needed to be replenished and seemed surprised when I asked for a refill. My food was lukewarm, the broccoli was hard and flavorless, the bacon on my Alice Springs Chicken was undercooked, and I had to ask for the fries I had ordered with it. When the fries came, they were placed in the middle of the table. They were cold, as well. The AS chicken was really good, though. My daughter had asked to have her Coke Zero replaced with water as the soda was flat. We were charged for the soda. Because it took so long for each thing we asked for, (we didn't ask for anything out of the ordinary), we decided to absorb the cost of the soda rather than wait another 15 minutes to have the ticket recalculated. Having been in food service for more than 20 years, I felt the server's attentiveness was lacking, from not refilling beverages to not clearing empty dishes (they were placed near the edge of the table). From start to finish, we were in Outback for about an hour and a half. I left all the broccoli and the fries on the table. Had it been me, I would have asked if the food was ok; do you need a takeout box, etc.? I also would have apologized where necessary and at least thanked my customers. read more

Great tasting food. We enjoy the service. Worth the money. Our favorites include steak and cheesy fries. Love the bread!

We eat here on date night a lot and have never had a bad experience while dining in. We never have to wait long and the service is good! Reasonably priced for a steakhouse. read more

Okay, the kitchen could use a little tweaking. My med-well steak came to me very well done, but the server immediately offered a re-do. (I also wish the steak had been a thick one.) A few minutes later I noticed that the loaded potato was not loaded. My server provided a take-home loaded potato. The veggies were over-cooked and thus limp. Yet everything tasted delicious! I took home one of those brownie and ice cream things and had half, storing the rest for tomorrow. Yum! My waiter and everyone else who passed by my table were enthusiastic, friendly and eager to make my visit a pleasant one. I will certainly return, despite the longish drive from my home. read more

The staff are friendly and I know that our food will be delicious. However, it is just 6 pm and the floors throughout the restaurant are unbelievably filthy. I realize that the debris is caused by customers, not the staff. However, one of the two hostesses lounging at the front door could spend 10-15 minutes and make the restaurant more welcoming than a forced "hi y'all". Do the dirty floors give a view of the food prep area too? Such a shame. read more

My sister and I went there for lunch. Horrible experience!! It started off with my drink being VERY weak! Then my sister's drink came to our table with a long hair in it... Finally, after a good wait our food came out but it wasn't ours (brought to the wrong table). The last straw was when my sister's potato was clearly burnt to hell and she could barely cut through her rubberized steak. What made it all so terrible was, not 1 apology, until after we spoke with the manager. The manager did make it right in the end. I will eat at Outback again, but DEFINITELY NOT this one! read more

The service we had tonight was astounding! It literally couldn't have gotten any better! Our waiter's name was Dwight and he was just absolutely amazing! The food was perfect. The manager even came over to ensure our service was great! My mom was visiting us from out of state and she was impressed how amazing everyone was. We wouldn't have received that kind of service back "home". We appreciate everything so much and thank each of you for making our experience a good one. We will definitely be back. I have been to many Outbacks across the country. I come to the Burlington Outback once a month when I visit my parents. It sounds trite, they always treat me like family. Jordan at the bar, double and triple checks my complicated to go order. He always asks me about my parents. He never has a bad day. A sunny personality that truly loves his job. I know everything is going to be taken care of when Jordan and, Katie and Hanna are here. I always look for Katie too when I walk in the door. She is the queen of multi tasking and a fine example of a hard working woman. AND, she is an opera singer. Hanna is a steady, calm, take charge, organized presence that lets you know it will all be taken care of. The steak - better than Morton's, Ruth Chris and The Palm. The Melbourne Porterhouse may sound expensive, however, since I love left overs lasts three meals. I realize that most reviews are about the food, in my opinion, if the service is apathetic I am not interested in the food. Jordan, Katie and Hanna are a huge reason I continue to return for several years. read more

We ordered the small sirloin dinner. Mine was good my husbands was loaded with fat and grizzle. Fresh vegetables were so over cooked the yellow squash fell apart when approached with a fork. Sweet potato was on the small side and covered with a liquid sweet tasting wash. Not the cinnamon and butter we expected. After indicating our issues we were not charged for one meal and given a coupon for a blooming onion the next time we go to an Outback. read more

We placed out order over the phone for curbside service. After waiting 40 minutes we received our order only to look in the bag to find that we were missing half of our order. We also asked for extra sauce and didn't have any. After the waitstaff went back to find out what happened, another employee brought out our order 10 more minutes later. We them asked for our extra sauce along with the missing sauce and he brought out only one sauce. Absolutely rediculous. To think we drove 25 minutes for this????? Not again. read more

My husband doesn't like it, but I finally got him to go, we got seated fast, but took foreto get waited on. Food was ok.

Food good but the restaurant was so cold we were shivering. No earthly reason for a service oriented business to allow the staff to set the thermostat at their comfort level. Service was mediocre. One tea/water refill each although it was painfully obvious that the glasses were empty. read more

Service is not the best that we have experienced here, food was not that great either, cook had to bring us our salads,(which was really the best part of the meal) I ordered the porterhouse steak cooked medium, and it was tough. My wife's potatoes were cold, and we were never offered a refill on our drinks. This was a 4:15 in the afternoon on a Monday, not much going on in the way of being busy. Considering the price of the meal and the lack of service, it would be best to go elsewhere. read more

We have been there less than 10 times... and there is a reason. Either the hostesses are extremely rude or narcissistic, it takes the wait staff forever to just get your drink order. Not alcohol, sweet tea and water. When you do finally get the wait staff to take your order, it is literally at least a 45-60 wait to get your food. And then they will bring your appetizers 5 minutes before your entrées. So, they are totally behind in the kitchen or the wait staff is rushing you out the door. Blooming onion is burned, ordered chopped steak medium (way over cooked), with fries... I think I got 9 fries. Drinks were never refilled the entire meal. McDonald's does a better job that this joke of a restaurant, especially for their prices. Never again. read more

I love Outback but had the worst experience today. Went to lunch at 2:15 was told it was a short wait, going to my seat i commented to the female manager about the wait and in a few minutes she came to my table to challenge me on my wait time. At that time she made the statement that she did not know that the coupon was going to drop today so they were not prepared for it, as for me I can not believe Outback would not let the units know. What she did not take into account was that almost every table in the dining room and bar was sitting not bussed and no one working on them. She said we would have good service and offered a free app which we did not accept. Food was very slow to arrive, the table next to us sat dirty the entire time we were there. Our server said she had the entire left side of the restaurant and said she was in the weeds and believe me, she was. The male manager came out near the end delivering some food. To say it was a bad dining experience is an understatement. read more

What a terrible experience! Outback corporate definitely needs to send an auditor to this location. We called on a Thursday to reserve a table for Sunday at 1 pm (this being the holiday season, they were open then). The hostess said something vague about them trying to find a table. I asked if this was really a reservation then, and she said it was. I replied that we were coming with an infant and some older relatives, so we really did not want to wait a long time - hence the reservation. Come Sunday, the first two people in our party arrive at 12:45 pm and are given a buzzer. The rest of us arrive shortly before 1:00 pm. We are finally seated at 1:50 pm. During the entire wait, we could see two empty tables for four, sitting next to each other, that were waiting to be bussed. Eventually we were seated at those tables. So, it looks like we waited that hour because they were short staffed. Once seated, the service was slow, the food medium warm, and the server misunderstood one order so it had to be re-entered. All in all, a terrible experience - and don't believe for a second that call-ahead seating works. read more
