I eat out frequently and it seems like good customer service isn't a priority. I've had 3 meals comped in the last month! I don't want a comped meal. I'm happy to pay for my meal and I'm happy to tip well. That said, the meal and service we had last night was FABULOUS! Connie was our server and I can't remember the last time I've received good service. She made suggestions to save us a couple bucks on our order, our drinks were filled promptly, the food was served hot and delicious. She had a great attitude and smile. She really made a difference to our night. We had been shopping all day and we had a good time, but we were tired. We left the restaurant feeling energized and happy. If you go to The Outback Steakhouse on The Strip in N Canton, ask for Connie. You will not be disappointed. I usually tip well, but I gave her a larger tip because it was so nice to have a pleasurable meal. It's been a long time since I could say that about a server. We have had many a dinner at a Outback Steakhouse across the nation. Tonight our Dinner was average but the service from the kitchen was so slow. When we waited over an hour to receive our dinner we asked the server what the problem was. She replied how they only had three people in the kitchen when they normally have a twice that many and Blah blah blah. Really- their organizations staffing is not our problem. She could have offered us dessert or an extra drink to compensate. Or even a small monetary token on a gift card. None of that. So we maybe won't have in a hurry to revisit. read more

It has been a while since we've been to an Outback restaurant. Unfortanately, the experience was terrible. It started by us waiting 1 1/2 hours (90 min) just to get a table. Once we were finally seated (and starving), our server took our drink order AND food order (we did this on purpose to get the food out sooner). An hour and 30 minutes later, our food arrived. Some of it was cold, some was burned. The only item that looked good was the large grilled chicken salad. I had fond memories of this restaurant growing up but this will probably be the last time I visit one. read more

It's my own fault, I know better, but we headed to Outback for a burger. They do have good burgers. 3:00 on Saturday seemed too late for lunch and too early for dinner but the place was quite busy. When we asked the hostess if the tables she assigned was in the middle of a traffic pattern she said it was, but she "needed to seat her tables." Of course, it is all about the hostess, isn't it? But we were good sports and sat at her table. It took some time but a waiter did take our drink order. Some time later waiter #2 brought bread and wanted to take a drink order. When we told him we had a waiter he got a little excited and rushed off to the kitchen. He became our waiter, we presumed the first waiter got his table mixed up. Then 5 minutes later waiter#1 returned and declared he would be the waiter. Ok- these people work hard but this was not a good start to the dinner. The food was OK, my $1 extra asparagus was raw. Diners all around us came in, ordered, were served, ate, and left before we got our food. My ribs were squeezed onto a very small plate making it hard to be tidy while pulling them apart. The ribs were fine. My husbands burger was good, our friend's steak satisfying. The staff is not friendly. The servers are working in tight table spaces, while arriving and departing diners are always in their path. Apparently they are very sensitive about territory (witness the distress of waiter #2.). The experience turned out to be all about them and not at all about us. Things happen, we all have bad days, but I suspect a little better staff morale and a better hostess might improve the customer's visit. read more

Steak was blah. $24.99. It was ok. I asked for rare - it came out half rare. That prob doesn't make sense but it was seared real nice on one side and not the other. So it was rare overall but half was like blu rare. For Father's Day, they weren't that busy. My children's steak came out perfect mid well and tasted better - $8.99. A great server and great kitchen staff!!! We were a party of 6 from Alabama and Washington in town for the PeeWee Football Championships at the Football Hall of Fame. When we first walked in the greeter lady tried to seat us at a table that was cramped and right next to a wall. We are a bunch of tall people who needed arm and leg room so we asked her to move us. She hesitated but, then our actual server came and allowed us to choose our own table. He understood! After making our order, the food came out and everything was perfectly cooked, steaks done right and the sides were cooked perfectly as well. I wish I could remember our waiter's name, he was a very pleasant African American young man. To top it al off the proprietor came by at the end to introduce herself and make sure we had a good experience as well. I am so glad we came in and I would recommend this location to everyone. The only complaint I have about this restaurant is the food has a tendency to come out under cooked. One time there was a table of 4 of us and 3 had to have our food returned to be cooked longer. In 3 out of 5 occasions food has been returned for being rare and once it was my pork medallions. Otherwise service is great, hostesses greet and open the doors when you walk in and the managers make themselves present! We recently had a waitress named Marisa and she was excellent! read more

After reading the recent reviews, I was less than thrilled when my daughter chose Outback for her birthday dinner. We had called ahead for a 7pm seating and after a short wait were seated at our table. We tried a Blooming Onion....EXCELLENT! The rest of our dinners were great. Definitely not a good experience at this location. I ordered a filet rare for take out and it came out medium well. Good thing we checked because it was a 30 min drive. We sent it back to get it fixed and they took out all our sides. The guy was literally running back inside, so we had to yell to get him to come back. I ordered loaded mashed potatoes and they didn't even give us that, just plain mashed potatoes. We just left and never coming back. Went here for my Sons Birthday. I wanted to pay attention to the wait time, but with the blooming Onion Appetizer, which was very good, the mini loaf of bread , plus a cup of delicious tortilla soup, great conversation, our food was here before I knew it. My family all ordered steaks, which were prepared as requested, I ordered the blooming hamburger, which was good. The Server was very attentive, and my son got a free dish of ice cream. Nice touch. Took a family member out for a birthday lunch, and everything was delicious. He is a steak aficionado, and said his ribeye was cooked perfectly. We arrived right on time, checked in and we were told the girl doing reservations remembers me on the phone but didn't see my name on the list. They cooked both of our filets wrong, her potato was very dry and mine was a bit soggy. The only good was that our waiter was working hard for us, trying to "make it right" for us. We asked him to not share the tip with anyone. He was the only person that seemed to care about our experience there. We waited a half hour when we arrived, even with having a reservation. The restaurant was very dark, the hostess had to walk me to the bathroom because I couldn't see to the back little dark hallway. Our waitress was great, she brought refills without us asking. She was the only thing that kept us all from complaining and walking out! The lunch fish tacos are a must try! There's no ocean for miles here in Ohio, but this dish has a way of making you feel that the fish were caught fresh that day. With generous portion sizes, its one of my favorite meals to get when I come here! read more

Based on my last two experiences with this place I should give them one star but I gave them 3 because most of their food is delicious. I order the 11 oz. sirloin well done since I like all my meats cooked completely all the way through. Usually it has been cooked good...sometimes a little bit pink inside but not much and I'm ok with that. The last two times my steak has been rare....seared on the outside only... as soon as I tried cutting into it blood was squeezing out of it. Both times it was blood red inside. The only part that was not was the very outside of it. I ended up putting it in a skillet to cook my food so that I could eat. I did not say anything the first time but this is trice now. The rest of the food was great but if I'm going to have to cook anyway there is no reason to order from here. I had the same problem with them about a year ago and quit using them for a long time. When I tried again a few months ago things were good until now. They need to figure out why this is happening. I really like their food and don't want to quit using them. read more

Itty bitty wings Outback is a chain restaurant I usually like. I almost always get the baby back ribs because they are consistently great. On this day however I wanted to go a different route. I wanted to try their wings and a side of fries. They did not seem to have wings flavors, only mild, medium and hot offerings. I'm a spice wimp so mild it was. The wings came out and they were really hot, so were the fries. The fries were nice and crispy, I enjoyed them. THe wings were small, a little smaller than wings at bw3"s (which keep shrinking). Those small wings had plenty of flavor though. They were not breaded which made the wings a bit healthier. I ate it all, no complaints. read more

This is been our second time eating at this location and both times we have had great food, great service and overall great experience. The blooming onion came out hot and quickly. The Ahi tuna salad was surprisingly really good with very fresh tuna. Our server was attentive and filled our drinks promptly. Even when my little boy got sick she promptly boxed up his food and quickly brought the check-(although she may have just been concerned he would ralph on the table). One time good experience can always be a fluke but a two-time good experience means the management is doing something right. read more

I went out with my husband while we were in town visiting and the proprietor, who had introduced herself as Jessica, had started to YELL at one of the hosts who had seemed super stressed out. She processed to say that her business was WAY more important that that poor hosts feelings and went on to say she should just quit because it wasn't a place for her. Now the girl looked 16-17 and didn't look like she was very experienced. I emailed the VP and he offer me a lousy gift card for my experience. I'm a manager myself at restaurant and the first thing a business needs to run is the employees. What the proprietor did was uncalled for. First off, let me start by saying, I rarely write reviews and only do so if the service is horrendous...or like tonight, PHENOMENAL!!! I'm a busy wife and mother of three boys...so I'm literally the most deliberate review writer in the history of forever. Anyway, back to the review. My husband was recently (in the last week) diagnosed with celiac disease and we are avid foodies.
