I usually have an amazing experience with outback but this one was absolutely insane!!! We waited at least an hour for a table (which was fine they informed us of the wait time) but after being skipped & around 10 other tables were sat that arrived after us. They said we had 11 minutes left ? Idk what that even means. Lol 20 minutes later I asked what's going on and they said they tried texting us but the message failed & we were next. 10 more minutes later and 4 other tables sat we had to go up and ask again what the problem is? Finally got sat, spoke with a manager and she gave us a free blooming onion. We thought it was all ok now. BUT WE DID NOT EVEN GET THE BLOOMIN ONION. We had our main meal and the waitress finally checked on us and we told her we didn't get it. I like outback and have never had an issue until now. I will most likely go back but they need to figure out a better way of waitlist management or just go back to plain paper and yell out last names! I'm a server myself & I think it most likely was just a bad night. Went to this Outback before hitting the local movie theater. I ordered the surf and turf and asked for my steak medium well with little to no blood and grilled shrimp. I get my order and my steak is cooked medium rare (considerable amounts of blood, I never eat steak with blood- I'll stick to well done in the future ) and I got coconut shrimp instead of the grilled. The waitress apologizes and brings out a grilled shrimp skewer that was visibly undercooked (I took the breading off the shrimp and compared cooked with undercooked). I had just gotten off my long shift at the hospital and was hungry and time constricted so I ate my steak for the most part and my mashed potatoes but avoided the undercooked shrimp. I let the waitress know and a manager came out and comped my meal. They were very nice and apologized and offered to give me a steak to go or dessert but I kindly declined because our movie was close to starting. So I give two stars because their customer service was superb. As for now, I probably won't be returning to Outback again. read more

Wow the service was really slow today. It took almost 2 hours just for lunch. We never got refills on our water. My moms ribs were super tough. Two of us had quesadillas which were good. The Philly sandwich was dry. The potato soup was decent. Mine wasn't hot but my moms was very hot. We usually like this place but are very disappointed today. read more

I read the other reviews so I really was expecting very low standards from this Outback. The only reason I went was because I had a gift card. My wife and I were pleasantly surprised by our experience. She loved it more than I did, but I left full and happy as well. When we arrived, we were told that our wait would be 45 min. I didn't expect it to be that long on a Wednesday night but it was 6 pm the day before Valentine's Day so maybe more people were out. The wait ended up being only 15-20 min. We had a booth in the back corner which I think is probably one of the best spots in the restaurant. There are few tables around there so it's very private. We had a fantastic waitress who was prompt and courteous with her service. We started with the bloomin' onion which my wife adores. I liked it but it was too greasy so I didn't eat too much of it. Next, came the salads. I had a caesar salad and my wife had a pecan chopped salad. Again, she loved hers. The caesar salad had too much dressing on it and it wasn't a very good Caesar dressing. A couple of my croutons were a little mushy because the salad was soaked in the dressing. T Then, our meal came. My wife had the Alice Springs Chicken with fries and I had Baby Back Ribs with a sweet potato with honey butter and brown sugar. This time, I think I had the better food than my wife. The ribs were charred so it had a smoky flavor to it. I think it was burnt a little too much but it was still delicious. The sweet potato was good but really no different than any other sweet potato I've had. I tried my wife's chicken which was smothered in melted cheese, bacon and mushrooms. Although it's tasty, I think the ribs are a better option personally. The chicken did come with honey mustard as well. Now, I believe that I'm an expert when it comes to honey mustard. When I was younger, I used to eat it with everything. I have cut back a bit but I still enjoy it. With that being said, I think this is one of the top 3 honey mustards that I've had. My wife believes that she's an expert on ranch dressing. She likes to dip her fries in it. She believes that it's the 2nd best ranch dressing she's ever had. Nice new building and clean. Smaller than most outbacks and some of the tables are way too close to other tables, like bumping chairs close. Huge waiting area that IMHO could've been used for more seating. Courteous service staff but slow. The restaurant seems to be trying to be something it is not, an upscale steak house. Ordered by phone the Gold Coast Coconut Shrimp and regular french fries. Was told it would be 20 minutes. Arrived at the restaurant about 15 minutes later, called in and told them I was there. The girl came out and confirmed my order and took my credit card for payment. She came back with my receipt and said my order would be out as soon as it was ready. I waited and waited...20 more minutes at least. People came and went after me. All I ordered was coconut shrimp and french fries. She came out and said she was waiting on the fried. How long does it really take to fry french fries! When she finally brought my order out, she apologized for being so long. So I drove the 2 miles to my house. When I opened the fries, they were nice and hot and crispy, but the shrimp was clear cold. Who wants to eat deep fried shrimp that is cold?! On top of that, it was only about 3 p.m. and there were hardly any cars in the parking lot. Don't understand what the hold-up was. read more

Waited approx. 25 min past our reservation time. Service took about 20 min before we even ordered. Took another 30 min to get which was cold, wrong and over cooked. Sent 3 steaks, out of 5, back. Took another 20 min to get those back and still 1 was past well done when it was ordered medium. The manager was really nice and took the steaks off our meal. I sat there and watched the manager go from table to table taking steaks back that were obviously not what the customer order. Didn't seem like a lot of happy people that night. Will try again in a few months, once the new store is opened longer than a week. read more

The filet minion was not worth the money. I'm not sure what kind of fake steak they are serving but it is not a top of the line . The meat looked like a steak when it arrived, but after cutting into it was falling apart , almost like it had been glued together from scraps of meat and fatty. Did not taste right. I just asked for a to go box for the steak and fed it to my dog. On a previous visit I had lobster tails. I kept getting a slight whiff of a fishy smell and they did not set well in my stomach. Every visit to this Outback in 2018 I have had an issue with the food quality. Wear slip resistant shoes when you go in ...the floors are really greasy and the cloth napkins smell of grease. I have been a loyal Outback customer for 25 years but I can't do Outback anymore. I am so sad your food quality is poor. The bread is the same. read more

My wife and I went here tonight for an early supper. We got there right about 5pm, so there was no wait for us to be seated. The lighting is on the dim side, which is why I hesitated to say this is a good restaurant for children. Our server tonight was Mikki, who did a great job taking care of us throughout our meal. She was on her game- friendly, helpful, prompt and courteous. We each started out with a glass of delicious Sangria. The hot, honey wheat bread and basic whipped butter was unremarkable. My wife ordered the Crab Stuffed Mushrooms and the Tomato, Mozzarella Caprese. She very much enjoyed both. I have been in the mood for some good BBQ Ribs, and so ordered a full rack, with the paired Aussie fries as my side. These are a basic, standard sized french fry with a little flavoring added to the salt they come with. Mine came with far too much salt! Mikki was quick to get them replaced for me. The replacement fries were just fine. However, when ordering my ribs I had been told they would be fall-off-the-bone, and delicious. And they were delicious, Outback has a great BBQ sauce recipe. But the ribs were not even close to fall-off-the-bone in how they were served. Later in our meals I mentioned this to Mikki, since she had described them that way to me. Next thing I know I have Sean, a manager at our table inquiring. I appreciated both Mikki's and Sean's quick, and concerned response,.I explained, and showed him the considerable work it was taking me to get the meat from the ribs. Sean considerately offered to replace my meal and inquired as to whether we were getting dessert. I explained that I was going to take home a piece of Carrot Cake. After which he then left us to finish our meals. When we received our check, I was surprised to find that Sean had comped both my meal and dessert. I consider myself to have been treated courteously, with care, and more fairly than expected. Thank-you Sean, we will be back. . Beware to those individuals on a gluten-free diet: I DO NOT recommend this Outback Steakhouse restaurant for individuals on a gluten-free diet. My husband picked up a carry-out order. My "gluten-free" Alice Springs Chicken had a piece of pasta on it and my "gluten-free" salad had croutons in it. I have celiac disease, so this negligence can make me very ill for weeks. Okay, I have eaten here many times when we come into town from Wisconsin. It seemed to be our families meeting spot for dinner as it has something for everyone and the staff was solid. To this day I can remember the old or past manager/owner's name... Jeff! That is something major for a huge chain that he took the time to greet each table, joke and further make sure each experience was perfect! Fast Forward to the 29th of October 2016, we had planned a 65th surprise party for our father well over a month and a half in advance. I had asked various questions and we were told that they could accommodate a large group of 20-25 and we could have 1 long table, 4 servers, appetizers that I pre-ordered over the phone waiting on the table with waters as it was a surprise and we wanted things ready when my dad showed up for his big surprise. I called 8 days prior to confirm and I was told that everything was good to go.. it was a quick response from the person on the phone but I presumed it was marked down. The morning of the party we called to confirm yet again as you can never be too careful and we were then again told that we were good to go. There was 4 tables seated in the entire restaurant when I arrived 30 minutes prior to the big surprise. I was asked to show up early to ensure things were set up properly so I did. Upon arrival the staff stood there like deer in the headlights as they hadn't even set anything up. We were told to wait while they set things up. With over a months notice and two reminders, we shouldn't have had to wait...We were seated at two separate tables that were pushed so close together we couldn't even sit two children back to back. If we didn't mention it again I don't think anyone would have done anything! They told us that one table is not doable and further just walked off. I flag someone down and they tell me they are sending over the manager.... 5 minutes goes by and finally the manager appears to tell me they are all clueless of this party/group/appetizers or anything. Two servers finally appear with the wrong appetizers that the manager ended up taking the order for. Granted it worked in our favor as they brought too many appetizers but that isn't the point... not even the man running the show could get this right.... we never saw him again which is a awful considering nothing was ready and every single turn when we got there was an excuse or wait a minute. The food was sub-par for some and could have been easily made at home and tasted the same but others really enjoyed it. I have to admit their lunch special is a good deal, even though we ordered off the normal menu. We made the best of it and our servers did the best they could. If they read this I hope they know those two stars are solely because they put up with my stand offish attitude towards the whole screwed up mess Outback and their absentee manager made them deal with and further for their help in taking photos and cake cutting! All I can say is thank god we don't have the opportunity to all get together as often as we like or we wouldn't have had our stories and memories to keep us somewhat light hearted and walking out. I guess my group of 20 plus can find a new meeting spot off the strip that isn't directly affiliated to Outback Steakhouse! Couldn't even get our rewards added.... read more

This is probably one of the top five steak places in this area as far as the price is concerned. I used to hate this place but since they moved to the strip the atmosphere and food have seemed to jump in quality. They have a nice sized waiting room and the booths are nice and large which is handy if you have kids. Staff wise has been hit or miss so far but all in all this is a family favorite for the time being. read more

Rarely go to chains but was given a gift card. Husband and I stopped in today at 4:50 and there was a 50 minute wait. Amazing! Found a high top in bar area so we sat there with no wait. They were out of cherries for my Manhattan, beer was not cold, husbands steak was way over cooked and both of our steaks were tough and chewy. The waitress was very nice and efficient but that was a lot of money for a very mediocre meal. Will be in no hurry to return. read more

I took my son there for dinner yesterday evening. Wednesday evening, no wait, lots of empty tables. We had a long wait for our drinks. So long in fact that they came out after our appetizer. When my salad came out there was no dressing. After waiting over 20 minutes I finally received a salad dressing and my cold steak. Our waitress couldn't be bothered to actually wait on us, she had food runners take care of us. Overall a horrible experience and cements the fact that chain restaurants are to be avoided at all costs. read more

We were so very pleased with our service and food tonight. We used the call ahead seating and upon arrival we enjoyed a couple drinks at the bar. The bartender was polite and very personable. The positive attitude of this young man was so refreshing we chose to dine at the bar. The young lady manager asked about our food and service. It was easy to see that the positive attitude was contagious in the workforce. The food was grest and service was even better. It was nice to be treated like a King. I am surprised at some of the negative reviews. I have eaten here several times since they opened and have not been disappointed once. My fiance usually orders steak and shrimp and he absolutely loves it saying that they serve some of the best shrimp he's ever had. I usually get the same thing; no rules pasta with veggies. It's delicious. I love the salads and the one time we ordered a bloomin' onion, we were quite pleased. We usually call ahead for seating and have only waited, at most, 15 minutes. The ONLY complaint that I would have is that the floors are really slippery for some reason, so just be a little careful. read more

We have been longtime Longhorn fans (and still are) But we decided to give Outback a shot. We let our waiter know and he predicted we would be sold by the end of dinner ( what decent place wouldn't bet on itself). They nailed it, very well prepared steaks and great on all allergy info. This review should just be, "Skip this place. Go to Texas Roadhouse in Alliance." However, I'll expand. The new building is nice but that's where it ends. We were seated at a table that was too close to other tables. We found a baby changing mat underneath the table which makes me wonder how well everything was cleaned between customers. The service started off decently but once we paid for our meals, we wanted to sit and chat for a few minutes since it was a going away party for a friend. The server never asked if we wanted a refill or if there was anything else we needed. Two ladies in our party had originally passed on dessert but then thought they would order something. But since the server never returned, they left without the dessert. The steaks were terrible. Fatty, very tough and some undercooked, they were overpriced. A comparable steak at Texas Roadhouse is $3 less and far better. Everyone in our party agreed that they would never come back. Geez, forgot to mention one of the most important aspects of my experience! The server overcharged me for a drink (I only got water, he charged me for a soda). He never brought me a corrected bill so he told me just to give him $2. and some cents less. When he came back to the table, he said, "Oh, I don't have your change. I hope that's ok." My friend and I tried Outback for lunch a couple weeks ago. It was awful! We usually go to Longhorn, but she wanted to try Outback for a change of pace,. We started with the ahi tuna appetizer...and immediately sent it back. it was obvious as the server set the plate down in front of us that the fish was far from fresh. If you can smell it to the degree we could smell it, it's NOT fresh. The server expressed surprise and assured us it was fresh and told us she had just served some to another couple; we told her it was NOT fresh and she ought to let the manager know to avoid the possibility of giving someone food poisoning. Whether she did or not, I cannot know, but we sent it back. We eschewed further appetizers and ordered our main dishes. My friend ordered the tilapia and said it was ok. I ordered the prime rib au jus, and it was not ok. there was SO much bread that the meat was lost in it. The meat was overcooked and dry, and if it had ever had any flavor to begin with, it was long gone. The au jus was yummy, but there was not enough of it to compensate for so much bread and dry meat. the fries were not hot and they were mealy to boot. We spent almost $40 in there, and we never will again. If you want truly wonderful ahi tuna apps, go to Bonefish right next door or make the drive to Montrose and try Sakura for a full sushi experience. For anything else, go anywhere else, but I would steer clear of this Outback! read more

I have always liked outback. I am sure that this time would have been no different, had i been waited on. My wife and I watched tables around us being served, guests who came in after us with drinks and bread, us...... nothing. I approached the hostess after sitting for about 15 minutes with noone waiting on us. The hostess was very apologetic and went to get us a server, only return to tell us he could not find him. We got up to leave and I asked hostess for a manager, he returned with the waiter....guess the manager was lost too. Mind you this was after 8:00 at night, hardly busy. With all the dining options in this area i am not sure i will be back anytime soon. read more

My girlfriend and I tried outback for a second time. I would have to say that the service was alright our waitress was good. She got fish which was good. I had the porterhouse with a Caesar salad and fries. I asked for the steak to be cooked medium rare. It came out raw, it was so spongy that I couldn't cut it with the cheap knives they give you. I sent it back and they put it back on the grill. When I got it back the fillet was burnt and the strip steak was ok. In the end the only good ending of the night was my dog had a $25 steak for a snack, while I went to bed hunger. I would not recommend this place. read more

Our experience here at dinner was what gives chain restaurants a poor reputation. The wait was long. The cocktails were weak. The waitress was sweet but forgetful. We hadn't been to an Outback in a number of years and given the lack of crowds in The Strip this Sunday, we decided to give it a go. Not our best decision. While my son (12 yo) was happy with his food, my wife and I were not pleased with ours. My blue cheese chopped salad contained wilted, brown lettuce and the grilled shrimp in my meal were barely cooked through. The biggest problem for my wife and me was the quality/prep of our steaks. Seasoning was inconsistent and the meat (both sirloin and filet) had an odd odor with barely any taste. It was strange. It got to the point where we just wanted to leave. My blood orange margarita (sounded good, right?) was marginal. Not much in the way of blood orange in it. Also, other reviewers commented on the darkness inside and I concur with them. It was bright and sunny outside but it was way too dark in that restaurant. Not sure if these experiences are limited to the Strip location or indicative of Outback as a chain, but we do not intend to return any time soon. Very disappointing. read more

Best restaurant ever! Celebrated my son's 21st birthday with a wonderful steak dinner. The staff went well out of their way to make it a special birthday, the owner even came out and introduced herself and told him happy birthday.
