Visiting family for the weekend, so grabbed dinner at a chain we would order from every once in a while. More accurate rating = 1.5 stars The food used to always be great, and we'd utilize the curbside takeaway. While the service is still always prompt curbside, the food has been consistently subpar with stuff constantly forgotten the past few times we've been there. Really I should know better than to drive away at this point, but today a sauce that was fairly essential to an entree was forgotten, as were all of the sundae parts of desserts we had ordered were missing. While Outback is obviously not the most expensive place, we did spend $30-$40 for the meals for the two of us, so to have things consistently missing (especially so many!) is really not acceptable. We're planning on calling tomorrow. read more

Somewhere in the last couple of years outback decided it wants to be Applebee's, and the food and service is reflected in this goal towards mediocrity. Portion sizes are laughably small, the meat quality has dropped dramatically (prime rib mostly all fat, yuck) even the food looks disinterested. I remember when you used to be able to come here for a great meal with plenty of food and the quality of a high-end restaurant. We have spent a ton of money in this place over the years, but, alas no more. Tell your corporate office to stop being so corporate outback!!! Tell them that your customers hate it and they're not coming back (especially after seeing the new size of your bowl of soup!). Also customers hate it when servers suck the entire meal and then try to smile and be nice the last five minutes of your visit So after nine months of boycotting outback we decided to try their delivery service and give it one more try. We ordered delivery the other day and we were skeptical but damn everything was really really good and the delivery was seamless. I have to say it was really nice staying home and having outback food delivered. And again they must've improved their food quality because the food was delicious. read more

We went here last night after a hockey game. Our waiter was very friendly, but not attentive at all. We had to go to the bar and ask for refills on our sodas and waters after requesting refills. My Sesame salad was not made correctly, it was missing the almonds, sesame seeds and cilantro, basically all the flavor of the salad. It was just mixed greens, 2 thinly sliced red pepper strips and dressing. My sons burger was not correct, we sent it back and it took another 15-20 minutes to come back out. I went to outback with my dad yesterday for dinner. It was TERRIBLE. I sat down in the booth and cut my hand on a shard of glass. I immediately started bleeding and my dad went to inform the manager. The manager apologized and handed me a bandaid. He allowed us to move to another booth (which was behind the first one). I again sat down and felt glass shards AGAIN. My dad went to inform the manager again and he just moved us to another table. The waitress acted like she did us a huge favor by handing me a card for a free cactus blossom on my next visit. My finger was still bleeding and throbbing and they could have cared less .. the waitress then proceeded to tell my father on the way out, "don't sue me" and began laughing. I was the least bit pleased with the customer service and lack of remorse for my experience. I am so upset with the service I received.. they are lucky that the glass didn't injure a child! read more

What I look forward to at Outback is their delicious grilled salmon. Mmm... Well, for the first time ever their grilled salmon disappointed me. Apparently they are using different seasoning now. This place is DELICIOUS. I've been to a few Outback's before, but this one was great. The manager was lovely and our waitress, Jessica, was by far one of the BEST waitresses I've ever had. She was so accommodating and knew the menu so well. She even helped my brother pair a wine to exactly what he ordered for his meal. We will definitely be back. The food was fantastic. And I appreciate that they have healthy choices and I'm still full and don't have that empty filling like you get sometimes when you go to other restaurants and get their "healthy" options. Hostess understood my party's need to be placed in a distant corner of the restaurant, which we greatly appreciated. Drinks were only slightly watered down, but tasty. The Down Under Mule is a fabulous summertime adult beverage. We ordered the sampler appetizer and it was okay - cheese fries, onion petals, and overly deep-fried mac-n-cheese bites. I ordered the tilapia with lump crab and seasonal veggies. Loved the veggies - summer squash, broccoli, and carrots. The crab was great and the tilapia tasted fine but was somewhat over cooked. Our waitress was good but not great. Overall the entire experience was okay - not great. Fantastic company always makes up for a blah dining experience. Ladies room was not the neatest - clean stall but messy around the sinks due to a lack of paper towels. Overall not a horrible experience but nothing special. read more

We came for a date night. It is not often that my wife and I are able to have a night to ourselves. (11 kids and counting) We were seated fairly quickly and the host informed us that on future visits if we want we can go to the bar and grab any table that opens up. Also for those who don't already know if the Outback steakhouse car finishes in the top 5 you gt a free blooming onion on Monday. Our waitress was very nice, because its lobster special, we added lobster to both meals even though my wife wasn't interested in the lobster. I did give her my potatoe soap which she loves. They did overcook the steak a little but it was still edible. All in all it was a good experience. read more

I would have rated the Outback higher, but there was one big issue with cleanliness. The food was good (except for my husband's broccoli, which was overcooked and mushy), the service was fine, but the floor under and next to our table was so greasy that we were lucky not to have fallen. I was still wiping the grease off my shoes when we got home. We had to hold onto my 83 year old mother to make sure she didn't slip and hurt herself. We mentioned this problem to the wait staff and hosts, and they kind of shrugged their shoulders and apologized -- but NOTHING was done about it. What did we need to do to get their attention??? This is a neighborhood restaurant for us, and we've been there before and it was OK. We will probably be back, but if they still have very dirty floors that will be the last time. read more

I spent the day with wifey on her birthday. After a long day, I took my wife to Outback to end the day. My wife and I arrived to find out that there was a long waiting line to be seated. The young woman and young man that was working the door pulled us to the side, and they stated it was seating inside the bar area. Would we be interested in those seats? My wife and I agreed. We arrived, and another person greets us, and his name is Barry. The whole time we were there, Mr. Barry made sure we were satisfied with the drinks, appetizers, meals, etc. His food recommendations were on point meaning; the food is excellent. Let me just say that this place could use a good dousing in bleach. One thing that stands out when you walk in the door is the crazy odor that it has been mopped with a dirty mop. It's sort of reminds you of Chi-Chi's circa 1985. Also, There are these nasty little fruit flies flying everywhere if you're close to the bar. They're especially noticeable where they pour the beer. Steak was good dinner was good, my dirty martini with a little water down. Really can we please clean this up a little bit because the food is good and the service is good too but I have to give you two stars for a really crappy environment. read more

This is a pretty decent steakhouse for the price. I like to get the garlic filet medallions with mashed potatoes and broccoli. The best app they have is probably the bloomin onion, I wouldn't stray away from that. Today it was a little off. The good: steak cooked to perfection, nice site. The not so good: slow service, checked on once, forgot to give a side with order. The restaurant was not that busy and we waited a while for both our child's and our orders. I saw our waitress once when our meals were delivered, we saw her 45 minutes later. Initially the experience was not good. Had called ahead early in the day asked for a table at 6 PM for two people. Arrived on time and was told we were very deep on the list, no estimate of the wait time. After speaking to the host, Tim, I believe he empathized and helped. We were seated and Brandon was an outstanding and knowledgeable server. Between the two employees the experience was made much better. The food quality this time was as expected for an outback. This restaurant has a great, friendly, modern atmosphere. The staff is unreal - they are so attentive and cater to you're every need. This was a great experience. The manager Hum was so amazing. My Father's steak was cooked a little under what he requested and he immediately cane out and assessed the concern politely and efficiently. He had his new steak out in less than 5 minutes perfectly cooked. He then proceeded to offer all three of us complimentary deserts. Our waiter was impeccable as well. Do not go to this place. I repeat do not go to this place. I wish I could just not You can see how terrible the work staff is treated by their management. The service was extremely slow (not a busy hour), the food was terrible and disgusting (coming from my fiancé who loves this chain.), the steak was extremely undercooked & the drinks were flat. Looking around as we ate...none of the customers were happy and you could hear numerous complaints about every topic in a restaurant. We then ended up with no credit cards (worst part of our night) but we asked if we could do Apple Pay or even writing our card number down for them to charge it. The manager said "they need to just drive home and get their money." With the gas prices at an all time high- you'd think he'd be a little bit kinder. We obviously were trying to figure out how to pay. The manager was completely rude and disgusting. Shows when his staff. Then finally got our beers, took our order and bought out one app on a decent time.... But that was it, had to ask for our bread twice. Refills on drinks forget it. Then our waitress actually came out after about an hour of waiting for our food and pretty much told us how they forgot out food and it would be another 20 mins. And offered us free dessert. We went in here for dinner on an empty Wed. After waiting 15 mins for a host, he flippantly tells me there are no big booths. We'd have to wait; how long, I ask? He can't tell me that, he rudely looks at me and says - when people get up or a server shows up. After sitting for 5 mins and listening to the host rudely talk about how we wouldn't put a baby in a booster at a table we left and went to bertuccis and were treated the way you should treat customers. The very long wait for the very small portions means I'm done with Outback Steakhouse. From the time we were seated to receiving the food it was about an hour. Unexceptible for a chain. I don't know if they were trying to cut costs by shrinking the meal size but my salmon was small, like the size of the meat in a hamburger. It came with mashed potatoes only and that was a small scoop. No vegetable. $18. I complained and the waiter brought out some vegetables at no cost but only because I complained. Maybe the steak is larger portions there but that's not what I ordered. It was good but not great. I highly doubt I'll ever go back to outback. I love outback. I always feel their food is quality and some of the subtle details they add to each menu item just makes me very happy at times. I've transitioned my diet drastically over the past 10 years where now I am a pescatarian. However, I only eat "certain" fishes now and no other seafood like shrimp, lobster, etc. overall, my diet is tricky and picky yet and still through the years, outback has remained one of my favs so when my mom offered to take me there last night, I was so excited. 1) We sat at the bar bc we were on a time crunch and it was a little crowded in the lobby area with an estimated 20 min wait. The bar lady took forever and a day ... ok maybe 12 minutes to give us a menu. the lobby was busy but the bar was not btw. I actually had to ask her for one after the unjustified and extremely noticeable wait. 2) A very rude lady reached over my bread with the sleeve of her coat just missing it to grab a drink menu that was behind the bar counter. I told this witch that I could have easily handed it to her instead of her squeezing and maneuvering so much to reach so far. what is wrong with ppl and keeping comfortable distances ESPECIALLY when one's food is involved? It was so much for her too like she was on her tip toes trying to get to that menu when I'm right there and could easily have gotten it for her. ughhhhh. I was annoyed and she seemed even more bothered that I pointed this out that ummmmm excuse you but I could have handed that to you!!! 3) #2 above is not really outback's fault I guess. the reason she probably felt the need to be so extra and take matters into her own hands was bc of probably a similar experience with my #1 (extra long wait for service). however, #2 is probably why I was feeling a little agitated at this point so now I'm paying attn to everything more than normal which leads me to my final issue. I watched in horror the server bring out 2 plates of food uncovered, without a tray, through a crowd of ppl who were in her path that she had to squeeze through to get by. She was short and had to maneuver her way through the many deaf ears when she said excuse me. Like I said, she was short so I watched the plates of food in her hands basically inadvertently touch the end tips of a pony tail of some lady whose back was facing her. both completely oblivious to what these poor plates of food to be eaten are going through. I watched in disbelief and shook my head as she walked passed us thanking God she didn't stop at us .... until she turned around and walked back to us happy and bubbly unbeknownst to any of what I just stated, and said "hehe I gotta learn the bar numbers" like walking past us was the only mistake she made with our food. I couldn't even begin to explain this to anyone there like management or whatever so I just nibbled and picked at my food, paid and left. figured for my level of frustration at the time, I could better convey my experience here on Yelp. lesson of the day: look up a creative recipe and cook a restaurant type of meal @home!!! read more

Might of been my last trip to Outback.... ever. Walked in to a half empty restaurant at 8pm, they made me sit and wait 10 inutes for table so they could wait for a table in the section they didnt CLOSE yet....ya. They closed 1/2 the restaurant so they could be lazy and clean it so come close they can be out quicker. Had all kids under 21 working here it seemed like. The food was just more basic than i EVER remember it. My filet was just a bland piece of meat. For the price they charge, they need to get their sh*t together and not run their establishments like they are applebees, pathetic. read more

I'm always happy with my meal here. I had a 9 oz sirloin that I ordered medium, and it was cooked perfectly. Delicious. I had the coconut shrimp as an appetizer, I always love it. Horrible Experience - The wait was almost two hours ON A SUNDAY for our table because the servers couldn't turn their tables. The hostess was extremely miserable and rude, and when we finally were seated our service was horrible. Shockingly enough we weren't accommodated for the inconvenience in any way. The manager didn't even stop by the table to apologize. Last time I will be eating there. (For those thinking "who waits almost two hours for Outback": it was my little brother's birthday and that is where he wanted to go, and after waiting 30-40 minutes we figured that it would be pointless to leave and then wait another 30-40 minutes somewhere else.) read more
