Everything we ordered was over cooked. We asked for the steak medium and it was well and even black charred on the outside. The shrimp were so well done they were hard to chew. I got the new appetizer cheese steak dip and the meat was burnt ground hamburger. When the server asked if we wanted the steak remade we said no but he got us a new one anyway so we boxed it up and he took it off the bill so that was definitely nice of him. The sever I had was great. I had never been to an Outback before. My server suggested getting the ribeye, as that was his favorite. The steak was juicy and cooked to a medium rare as requested. The vegetables were steamed nicely. The sweet potato was served with butter and cinnamon, and was also tasty. I also ordered the famous Bloomin' Onions. They were ok, but I don't think I'd order them again. Very greasy (but they are deep fried, haha), and I think they would pair better with a different dipping sauce. read more

The Muslim day manager stood at the register doing nothing while his daughter (I think) seated the patrons. The service was a bit slow but not bad. The food was pitiful. The loaded potato had no butter and a minuscule pinch of cheddar, bacon, sour cream. The salad was OK, but the steak was horrid, like they used no butter or olive oil in the pan along with zero seasoning. I ordered delivery through DoorDash. No problem with the delivery but the food was disappointing. I ordered a 12oz. ribeye steak with coconut shrimp, another 12 oz. ribeye steak, the Bloomin' Onion, chicken wings and deep fried breaded mushrooms. I ordered both steaks medium rare. The steaks were about 3/8" thick and both were well done and over seasoned. Medium rare should have some red/pink in the middle but neither one had any pink. The shrimp, bloomin' onion, wings and mushrooms were extremely overcooked, almost to the point of being burnt. I've had better steaks at Denny's. Very disappointed. read more

DO. NOT. GO. HERE. This place was awful! Our problems started before even walking in. We had made a reservation a few days in advance, hoping for a seat right away when we planned to arrive. When we got there, we had to wait almost a half an hour and managed to sit at the bar while we waited. Immediately we noticed the smell at the bar. I've worked in food service as a dishwasher, and the smell coming up from the bar smelled of nasty dishwater and old dishes. It was extremely unappetizing. When I took a glance over the bar, sure enough, there was a long sink with dishes and drink cups toppled over. Despite this, we ordered a drink. I ordered the sangria and after taking the first sip, I nearly gagged. It tasted as if they had dumped a fistful of sugar into a cup and added moscato. I've never tasted a sangria that sweet in my life (and I prefer sweet things). I even had the people I was with try it, and they all had the same disgusted reaction. By this time, we had gotten a table, so we alerted the waitress. She took the drink back and then came back to the table within a few minutes telling us that the bartender had used the wrong ingredients for the sangria and apologized. We accepted it and were optimistic the rest of the experience would be better. We were wrong. It was just the start. To sum it up, we never got any silverware after twenty minutes of waiting. We had to actually go up to someone and get some, the waitress never put in our order so we ended up waiting an hour for our food. When it arrived, the food was waaay salty from being overseasoned. Not only that, but it was all extremely lukewarm. The water glasses weren't clean and had gunk on the sides which the waitress just dismissed it as "they are all like that. That's just how they are". The manager wasn't the least bit helpful. We needed up going to Olive Garden afterward to eat because we could hardly touch our food here. I will never come here again. This was my first time here and it will definitely be my last. read more

For a "steakhouse" they have a hard time cooking the steak to the right temp. Took 3 bites of my sirloin and had to spit it out. Even if it was cooked right the sirloin had a terrible texture and was dry. Never had a steak this bad. Server ignored the full uneaten steak and went about her shift as normal. It's awesome to pay $22 for 2 bites of a terrible steak. Texas Roadhouse is much more consistent and flavorful Avoid this location and probably avoid Outback in general read more

I had a gift card from my birthday that we decided to use during the week while I was on vacation. Got there just as they were opening for lunch we were immediately greeted and seated. I ordered an Arnold Palmer which was the only disappointment as it tasted watered down. Otherwise we ordered the chicken tacos and the fish tacos I had the French Onion soup with mine which was delicious. Food was plentiful even took leftovers home. The service was horrible! We sat nearly 40 minutes with empty glasses. Our steaks were flavorless and overcooked, the baked potatoes were cold and the fries where actually nice and warm. We asked for extra butter twice, it never made it to the table, we also asked for extra bread multiple times before it made its way to our table. We sat waiting for our bill for over 20 minutes. That being said, here's a tip for the wait staff - if someone eats only about 1/8 of their meal and says they don't want a box, ask if something was wrong with it. I am very disappointed in our recent experience. My wife took me to Outback (Coon Rapids) for my birthday. I ordered the Steakhouse Philly. What I received was a hamburger in what should have looked like a french bread-type of roll but looked more like a hot dog bun. It was so greasy that the entire wrapper was wet with grease - the one and only taste was that of grease, not au jus or any type of sauce. The meat was in little round pieces and what long pieces there were, actually were grilled on one side and were crispy like a hamburger. When the menu states thinly sliced steak, that is what you expect. In addition, the piece of hamburger was bland in taste and the fries were over-seasoned in pepper. I was highly disappointed. I felt insulted by the management who tried to tell me that this wasn't hamburger and the kitchen manager tried to explain that they were using a new type of meat (which he didn't know about and said he had just been informed it was a new type). Neither the Kitchen manager nor the house manager could look me in the eye during their explanations. Heck, I thought that when I signed up for the app in April, that there might be a special offer for my birthday (since it asked me for my birth date) but I never received that either. As a former chef, I know what is steak and what is hamburger; this was hamburger. This made for a terrible birthday celebration for me, and it will be a long time before I'll ever come back. We always forget about this place! I really enjoy outback this last time we made reservations and were seated right after walking in. The menu had changed and I think it's better than before! The drinks are always good! I started with a Blackberry Sangria and my boyfriend with The Wallaby Darned! Both very good! The selection of food is great. I had the New! Bearnaise Crab Topped Filet with a sweet potato and asparagus! It was delicious! They have a new rewards program also. We will definitely be going back. read more

Went to Outback Steakhouse in Coon Rapids this evening. Not too busy, was seated within 20 minutes. Time: approximately 6:30pm. Took the waiter about 15 minutes to bring our drinks. Took the waiter about 15 to come back to take our order. When I got my soup, we were out of our first paddle of bread, the waitress didn't ask if we wanted more bread and walked away so quickly before I could ask for more bread. I specifically ordered soup so I could dip bread in my soup. I never saw our waiter or any waitresses the whole time I ate my soup....without bread. A waitress brought our food and left very quickly. Again, never asked if we wanted more bread and I didn't get the opportunity to ask for more. By the time our waiter came to check on us and finally refill our empty pops, we were half way done with our meal. It's a shame that waiters and waitresses can be rude and disrespectful knowing that they're going to get tipped no matter what, because you just have to leave a tip. So, to much of my disappointment, it was very bad service. Delayed pop refills. Only one bread. No waitresses or waiter in sight the whole time. I had to eat my soup with no bread. read more

I'm a HUGE Outback fan but this review is based on this particular visit... Called ahead seating was great, but decided to sit at the bar because some chairs opened. VERY slow service at the bar this night. We waited a good 10 minutes to be addressed even with 3 bartenders. The well seemed to get lots of attention. We ordered small plate of Coconut Shrimp which I love as an appetizer! It's the perfect size to curb your immediate hunger without filling you up before dinner. We always split an entree with an extra side since portions are large there. I'd say ambiance was pleasant ~ not too loud. Bar stools were loose ~ BOTH were unstable chairs. Service was mediocre in that we waited forever for our bill as well after asking for it. Like the mini tables for the bar top. We will return and just hope the service is better! That can always make or break a dining experience. We go to the bar for faster more attentive service and today did not measure up. read more

Had the prime rib dip today for lunch. It was AWFUL. The sandwich was thrown together, it looked sloppy and gross. The meat was almost too tough to chew, nevermind the terrible quality of it. Some restaurants warrant a do-over. This one does not! I gave this restaurant another shot after an epic delivery fail 6 weeks ago. The first disaster occurred after I had placed an online order, was given a delivery time which the delivery service exceed by 45 minutes. My food arrived cold and after complaining by phone to the restaurant manager on duty that night, I received a written letter of apology and $40 in gift cards. Great service recovery! Fast forward to tonight. I placed an online order again and was given a 40 minute pick-up time. Wasn't going to try delivery again!! Since it was Valentines Day, I didn't feel that was at all unreasonable. I arrived at the appointed time and was immediately alarmed when there were 4 cars in front of me. I waited 10 minutes past my pick up time before an employee approached my car. After getting my name, I waited another 5 minutes for him to come back with my receipt. After giving a $5 tip, I had the expectation that my food would be delivered shortly there after. 10 more minutes go by and we were down to 2 cars before I called the restaurant to check on the status of my order. I was told that there had been a miscommunication and they didn't realize I was still waiting for my food!!! By this time I was assured that it would be out immediately. Now it's 30 minutes past my pickup time. Order is brought out to my car, I look in the bag to discover that my French Onion soup was not in the bag. Another 10 minutes goes by before the soup is brought to my car. That means my 7:40pm pickup has morphed until 8:17pm real time. Once again the food was only warm after driving home. I have another $20 in gift cards that I will use in the restaurant. Trust me that will be my last time dining in/placing an online order at this restaurant. Staffing issues clearly is a problem for this location. The food is OK but definitely not worth the hassles I've encountered. read more

My filet minion was flat like a sirloin steak never seen a filet so flat before! I thought it was a sirloin the manager assured me it was not a sirloin it was as flat as a hamburger if not flatter it was very dry my broccoli was way over cooked! defiantly will not be going back to this place any time soon.
