I recall Outback being a better experience. I used to go to a different one, and both my son and I were fans. We happened to be over in Euless this night, so went to this location. Wasn't a fan of the server, he wasn't personable, and seemed to be having a bad night. I get everyone has bad days, but as a server you gotta try to not have it show to your tables. I've only been to Outback once since moving to Texas almost 3 years ago. This was the location we went to, we went for lunch and it was good but since its a bit out of the way we don't go often. Since becoming pregnant, this last month I've been getting cravings! This time it was for Outback ribs! Luckily this location is on the way home from work for my husband and what's even cooler, they have online ordering!!! I ordered our food (the "no worries Wednesday" deal - which is awesome!) and hubby went to go pick it up. Then I get a text from him that he forgot his wallet. :/ greaaaatt. We got lucky and the owner trusted him to come back the next day and pay!! OMG! Wow... Thank you manager! You made a hungry pregnant lady's night!! The food was fabulous, still warm and the ice cream for our cake didn't even melt. Stopped after a long day of house hunting. It was a VERY late night dinner. Our server was still very sweet. I went to the Yelp event and the service was no different. Hubby had the full rack of ribs which he says were fall off the bone good. Only complaint he had was he wish they were bigger lol. I had the pasta. We had drinks and appetizers AND cheesecake of course. I again made myself sick from wanting to eat all my food. I forgot my left overs at the table tho. I was sadden. We went for Mother's Day, which was quite busy. I was able to do a call ahead the day before and when we arrived at 4:00 we were promptly seated. The food was good, and the service was great. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because my waiter was amazing throughout our ordeal. First, they didn't have an item on their menu, so I ordered something else. The substitute order came out & it was horrible. Secondly, our son's food has hair on it. They comped both items, but outback isn't what it used to be. We will not be coming back. I'm a bit biased, I'll go ahead and disclose. I LOVE outback steakhouse. It's my favorite. I was at this new location just a couple nights ago and have already planned my next trip back, for my birthday in two days. I always get the ribeye. I recommend getting it medium-rare, that way if they undercook you can always have them cook it a bit longer. There is nothing less-flavorful than an overcooked steak however so, that's just my opinion. They will give you extra steak seasoning on the side if you ask for it. I'm personally addicted. My addiction was made worse on this most-recent visit when I was informed that there are actually two (2) steak seasonings they use. One is for the "other steaks" and one is for the "ribeye" only. I asked for both and compared them. The ribeye seasoning is better! It has a bit of a coffee flavor to it... I'd still recommend getting both. I'm not going to lie, I put it on my baked potatoe and will also dip every single bite of my steak into it. I drink lots of unsweet tea to keep myself hydrated. So, I just re-read my 2015 review and find that our experience tonight was amazingly similar. I overheard the manager, (name omitted because I don't think it's his fault), talking to another table and he mentioned that most of the staff came over from the old Grapevine location. I was listening to him tell another customer how corporate had completely re-trained the staff - old and new - for the relaunch in the new location and I was hopeful. First of all, the food - better. Salads were appropriately sized to price. Steaks were not skinny minis like they were in 2015. Fried mushroom appetizer was tasty. Sadly, it all gets down to service and attention to detail. Apparently the retraining of the Grapevine staff didn't take... Our server showed up and took our order and then we waited. And waited. And waited. Come to think of it - our server didn't, and we were waiters. Get it? Waiters! Mushrooms came and were good - not delivered by our server. Our server did not check on us. Then we waited, and waited, and waited and then the soups and salads showed up. Not delivered by our server, and he did not check on us. My Diet Coke was empty. My son's water was empty. I caught our waiter passing by and asked for refills. Never came. Dinners arrived delivered by the third person, not our server, who had been to our table. Server interrupted that person in the middle of figuring out who got what and he finished distribution. I reminded him that we still would like our empty glasses filled. Refills then arrived promptly - or rather finally. Dinner was good. Our son had the steak and unlimited shrimp. His shrimp plate sat empty as our server went by twice - and didn't check on us. We finally and rather abruptly interrupted one of his fly-bys and asked for more shrimp. We continued with our (very good) dinners while our son finished his steak, and his mashed potatoes, and sat. And sat. And sat. We again lassoed our waiter as he was flying by and we told him we were still waiting for our shrimp refill. "Oh, you never got your refill?" Well, no, (insert derogatory descriptor of your choice here). Shrimp arrived instantly. How long had it been in the pass and why didn't he wonder whose it was? We asked for our check. Meanwhile, the manager stopped by to ask how everything was tastING (not tasted, appropriate to our empty plates and the check on the table). Without the interest to point out this staff's long-standing blind spots we just said "fine." His chirpy response was "Well, again, my name is (withheld to protect the guilty) if you need anything else." Well, OK, but the "again" was not appropriate because you never stopped by our table in the first place. And didn't know that based on your own fly by which is kind of indicative of why your staff doesn't pay attention to tables. Check came, I have a courtesy tip of 11% (I am a 15% to 20% tipper normally) and left. Kudos to Outback corporate for fixing the meat cuts and sprucing up the menu. Decent interior but basically an updated clone of Grapevine right down to the go to heck booth at the kitchen door which - you guessed it - we scored two years after the last time we were dumped there. Who designs a "new" restaurant to look almost exactly like the old one? Wish they had stayed in Grapevine on Failed Restaurant Corner and left room for a viable competitor to Lazy Dog. The good news is they will pick up business from people who don't want to wait for Lazy Dog. The bad news is they still don't know how to operate front of house. We avoided them for two years in Grapevine because of a bad experience. We avoided them for another two years after the 2015 bad experience in my prior review. We absolutely will not be back until the "Under New Management" sign goes up because this franchisee just doesn't get it. If you want to find us here in the future, we will be "out back" at Lazy Dog. 2013 fail. 2015 fail. 2017 - three strikes, yer out! read more

Warning for people using the curbside to-go process. I have yet to get a meal as ordered and I'm done with it - you can't trust them to read the order and prepare it as ordered. I placed a very simple order of two entrees with identical sides plus one additional side. Sounds simple enough (see pic)? Then how can one order have four mistakes in it. 1. Missing side from one of the identical meals 2. Substituted the additional side in a meal but charged for the separate one. 3. Loaded baked potatoes? Got a potato with nothing. Twice 4. Meal with no sides as ordered. The process cannot be trusted and you can't dig through bags to verify in the dark. DON'T USE CURBSIDE. We a party of 4 showed up for an early dinner... along with half of Euless. They were short staffed because of the early rush. PJ took the initiative to come out from behind the bar and take our order since he saw that we were not being waited on. His upbeat and helpful personality made the wait worth it. Just... NO. I am in town for work, staying at a hotel in Irving, TX. Craving Outback, I did a Google search and was pleasantly surprised to see several in the area within a 20 minute drive. I selected the Outback based on the one with the highest average review. I drove 30 minutes (it was raining) to this location, PAST other Outback locations. Despite my hunger, the rainy drive, and knowing exactly what I wanted to eat before I arrived... I never ate here. My waitress had such a sour attitude, that I wound up walking out. I am on my way to the next closest Outback now. What a shame... I tip upwards of 30% for good service. I can only hope she reads this and learns a thing or two. We were seated right away, but after 12 minutes at our table no one had yet greeted us to get our drink order or even give us a "hey sorry we're busy but we'll be with you soon". Never had an issue with outback... today was different Took my lovely Wife to have a good lunch. We walk in and are immediately greeted with a smile. So far so good.. there was only about 3 tables total in the restaurant and 2 patrons at the bar. we sat down and read the menu for 10 minutes waiting for our server. Another 5 minutes pass and I decide we need to go somewhere else. That isn't even the upsetting part. I drove off and saw 3 outback employees (one of them a chef) smoking a cigarette outside the back door! We went to the restaurant across the street and sat on the patio. Our waitress was a tiny Asian lady. Didn't get her name. She was not patient at all. And when I ordered the Bloom Burger I heard her recite "grass fed burger with bloom leaves" so I asked her to make sure it was the Bloom Burger and she just smiled and nodded. And so I asked to verify again, "Bloom Burger?" and she put on an extremely irritated/sarcastic smile and batted her eyes very dramatically and said "uh-huh." Rude as hell. Made me feel like an asshole for questioning her competence, but also pissed me off beyond belief. Then she came back and tried to interact with my 2 year old daughter, but my daughter saw through her playful facade and cried. Strike two, you terrible actress. Guess what, when the burger came out, it was not the Bloom Burger. This location only gets two stars because the gentleman who delivered our food to us and checked on us once was a joy to interact with. And my daughter liked him. The I ordered a shrimp scampi queso that I didn't love, and I didn't complain about it (of course) and the manager came to check since it was kind of sitting. She offered to trade it out or refund it, and I was happy to keep it. I had added some Tabasco, which helped. They still removed it from the bill. Super nice staff, great place to eat. Every once in a while I get a craving for steak and potatoes, and Outback is usually a decent alternative when you don't want to break the bank. For under $15 I can get both plus a side, salad, and pretty good bread. This was my first time at this location as we typically frequent the one in Hurst, and I can say with certainty that I will not be returning. They weren't busy so I had no problem getting us a booth. As the manager walked away I began to reach down and pickup a menu when I noticed something move. Not one, but at least 15 ants were crawling all along the surface of the table top. This was not only disgusting, but alarming as I am allergic to ants. I immediately hopped up and went back to the manager to ask for a different table. When I started to explain why I figured he would be surprised and want to come look for himself, but he just shrugged and said "yeah sorry, you aren't the first person to complain about that today". Stunned, I asked if he was referring to that entire section and he replied with, "No, just the one table". He told me pest control had already been called and should be there tomorrow. I then overheard him tell the host to make sure they spray the windows and booth seats in that area as well. I only sat at the new booth for about 5 seconds before picking up my purse and walking out. Sorry, but the sight of ants crawling on everything didn't exactly boost my appetite. I also couldn't believe the manager willingly sat me there in the first place knowing full well it was covered with ants. Especially seeing as the rest of the place was practically empty. You know what my major complaint about Outback is? I swear they give their dishes the stupidest names just so the waiter can laugh at you when you order. For instance, my favorite thing is the kids mac & cheese but god help me if I'll ever order it by it's actual name - Mac a Roo 'n Cheese. No sir. Things that make me crave Outback: the yummy brown bread, the kid's mac & cheese which is not at all like mac & cheese but is actually penne in a creamy sauce, and the blue cheese pecan chopped salad which I cannot for the life of me recreate in my own kitchen. I also like that they serve glasses of wine in tiny decanters. It may be a trick to make me think I'm getting more wine, but it works. Also, coming here gives my poor, non-vegetarian husband a chance to get his carnivore on. Our server was very hospitable & table orientated but overall the service was not up to expectations. It took over 15 minutes to put our order in, & close to 35 minutes to print out our checks (accurately) due to confusion. I believe the manager or some other coworker should've stepped in if you truly cared about your guests. He even called one of us over to look at the POS ourselves..
